Creatives, welcome back. My name is Joseph Sakura, and in this video, something a bit different. We're going to do a quick and really effective finger speed and accuracy workout. We're going to do it together, so grab yourselves a nice cup of coffee, get yourself in the mood, get yourself sat down from that piano, and let's do this.
I've got five exercises, and we're gonna do each one for 35 seconds with a 15-second break in between each. So about four minutes. Go for finger accuracy, stay relaxed, and just push the speed to the edge of your comfort zone before things start to break down. So if you're ready, let's go.
So here we go. Get your right hand into the C position here. Left hand into the C position here. Let's get this timer going, and the very first exercise we're going to go C E G E C E G E. Just keep repeating those notes. Okay, here we go. Two, one, go.
Okay, so get yourself settled in. Are those shoulders nice and relaxed? Try and feel that flow down to the fingers. Keep the wrists up. Keep that accuracy and smoothness, and just go to that speed where it starts to break down. Okay, keep pushing, keep going, stay relaxed, and break.
Okay, now the next exercise. We want the same positions. E F G F E F G F, like this. So really good for the right hand weak fingers, this one. That's what we're focusing on. Okay, so here we go. And go.
Okay, this one might be a challenge. If it is, then focus on the right hand. You can take that left hand away if you need to. Just really try and dive into those weak fingers in the right hand. Keep it going. Remember, you don't need to keep up with me for speed. You do you. [Music] Stay relaxed. [Music] Are you feeling the burn yet? Keep going. And stop.
Okay, brilliant. Back to the first exercise. So we're gonna go C E G E C E G E again. Okay, so same positions. Okay, C E G E. Nice and relaxing the shoulders, wrists up. Here we go. And go.
Okay, try and push just a little bit more this time. Okay, just see how, how hard can you push yourself? If you feel too much of a burn, then back off or stop if it's too much. But a little bit of burn is good. Means you're doing some good workout, some good muscle work on the shoulders all the way down to the fingers. You should feel that snap. We don't want to be tense. We want to have a looseness in the fingers. And there we go.
Now, last, uh, well, fourth exercise here. C D E D C D E D. So similar to exercise two, but we're focusing on the left hand weak fingers this time. Okay? And go.
So you might find yourself really tense it up. Try to stop that. Try to go back to being loose. It all starts at the shoulders. Don't worry about the speed too much. The speed will come. We want smoothness and accuracy, coordination in those, in those fingers. Okay, push, push, push, push, push. Even I'm feeling that burn now in the left hand. And stop.
Okay, brilliant. Last exercise. Our full arpeggios. Similar to our other exercise, but we're gonna extend up to the top C. Fingers five, four, two, and one in the left. Here we go.
Okay, it's got a bit of a nice triplet. You feel this? Your wrists might start to move a little bit more. That's fine. Imagine those keys are a bit too hot to touch. Have you got the accuracy? The smoothness? You might begin to really feel that burn now. [Music] Stay relaxed in the shoulders. Keep pushing. [Music] Stop.
Oh, brilliant. Okay, fantastic. Creatives, so just give those wrists a little bit more of a shake. Just shake out those muscles a little bit. Really, really well done. Hopefully, you felt a little bit of the burn there in your fingers. That's a good sign. It means you're doing some good work. If it gets too much, nothing wrong with just backing off a little bit. Okay.
So how did you find that? Please let me know in the comments down below. Give me some feedback because there are quite literally hundreds of these routines and exercises that we can do together. If you think 35 seconds per exercise isn't enough, then increase it to a minute, uh, or you could even do the whole routine twice. Right, so instead of four minutes, eight minutes. Again, comment down below and do let me know how you got on with this, and we can kind of adjust these and do more together. Also, check down below in the info box for the sheet music for these five exercises as well. And with that, I want to say thank you so much for watching. I will spare a thought for those poor fingers of yours. Um, stay creative, creatives, and I will see you soon. Peace.
