Hey guys, so in September of 2024, I decided to go on a 4-day cruise holiday with my family, and this is my vlog about it. So I hope you guys enjoy.
What is up everybody, and welcome to the start of this vlog. It is currently 8:30 in the morning, which is way too early for me, but I am gonna be going on a cruise. I haven't even packed yet, so probably should get packing.
Alright everybody, we're on the ship now, and I'm so glad I'm finally on the ship because it's so noisy outside, and we're gonna go to our hotel room right now.
Alright, so we finally entered our hotel room, and I'm gonna give you guys a quick little tour. Although a little bit small and narrow, I'd say it was a very cosy room for two people. To the left of the entrance is a small but functional bathroom, and now to the living space where we get a long pullout couch, a dressing table, and a refrigerator which could do some cleaning. Yeah, I had no idea what that was. Anyways, the room came with this really comfortable queen bed and, of course, the balcony, and that's pretty much it for the room.
By the time we checked in, it was already almost noon, so after a really short debuff, it was time to head out for lunch. There were a lot of different cuisines available on this ship, but we started off with just some fusion food. I got some salad and soup. Oh my god. Damn it. The salad and soup tasted delicious, and I was really excited when all the other dishes finally came. But unfortunately, I was let down hard because most of the dishes were either too dry or just tasteless. But I still ate it all.
Okay guys, we just finished our lunch. I think I'm gonna eat more later because I didn’t eat a lot, but now it's time for us to explore the ship. To be honest, there wasn't really much for me to film because it was all just gambling machines and stuff which I'm not gonna be playing. We then headed on outside to explore more more things to do.
Alright, so this is what I'm gonna be doing for the next few days, I guess. We can't use it now, unfortunately. And that's because the ship was about to set sail, and I wanted to catch a video of it sounding the horn, but it didn't, so I was just waiting outside for no reason. Anyways, after the ship set sail, it was time to eat again. But the thing is, we couldn't, because since we already had our lunch, we needed to we needed to pay an extra fee to enter another restaurant, so we just decided not to eat. And since we couldn't eat, we thought that it would be pretty pointless if we just did nothing in the hotel room, so we decided to go for a swim. It's way too hot right now, so I'm so excited to swim. Eww, the water looks murky. I'm gonna try all these big slides, but I don't know if I can record it.
After swimming, I headed to the bar to get some refreshments, and I got some freshly squeezed orange juice. Or at least that's what they said on the menu. It did not taste fresh, and it was $9. How is this worth $9? I'm so tired.
Alright, I'm happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the water park. But I wish I could have recorded it because it would have been more entertaining for you guys, but they didn't allow cameras or anything, so yeah, that's a bummer. Right now, we're gonna take a rest for about an hour, and then we're gonna head out for dinner and to watch some shows. I'll catch you guys then.
Oh my god. I'm pretty sure we're going into a storm right now because look at how dark the sky is. This side still looks so beautiful, but this side looks terrifying. I don't know, man. Should I be scared? At least the TV in our room gives us a live view of what's going on in front of us, but we're completely in the rain cloud right now. Oh my goodness, you literally can't see anything. Oh my god.
Hey guys, so it's many hours later, and it's time to head out for some dinner. For tonight's dinner, we wanted to eat some Chinese food, but unfortunately, we were so late. The queue was way too long already, and we did not have time for that. We decided to eat some western food instead, and since this was the buffet, I did not hold back with the amount of food I took. I got some rice, prawn, some clams, chicken curry, salmon, and I skipped the pasta to get broccoli instead. Fried chicken and, of course, the sauce. And it was an absolutely beautiful plate of food. Everything surprisingly tasted really good, and I thought the salmon tasted the best. I absolutely demolished my first plate of food, and I knew I had to go back for a second round. This time, I got two more pieces of salmon, more curry, and a lot more fried chicken. And I ate it all up. For dessert, I decided to get whatever this was, and it tasted really weird... so I didn't really enjoy it. But dinner was still amazing, and after our incredible dinner, it was time for us to watch a performance which was a magic show and also like a dance kind of thing. I don't know.
Alright, the show just finished, and it was pretty impressive, but I just didn't really understand what was going on. It was way too loud sometimes. But not bad. Now, I don't really know what to do because I'm bored. Yo, these are huge. And so is the price. It feels like I'm in Korea again. I want to go back to Korea so bad.
Alright, I think I'm going to end the night with some good old bubble tea. They have sandwiches and everything? Oh my god. Can I have one brown sugar milk tea? Thank you. Not the dome lids. Alright, let's give it a taste. The pearls are hard as hell. Solid... 5 out of 10. How do you throw this away? To end of the night, I decided to visit the rooftop to see what was going on. And it did not disappoint.
Well, that's it for day 1. So tomorrow is going to be pretty interesting because we're going to be dropping off at Phuket, which is in Thailand. But the problem is that we checked the weather, and it's going to be raining really heavily, or that's what the weather forecast said, and sadly there's a lot of flash floods happening over there recently, which is pretty concerning, so I'm not too sure what to expect tomorrow, but let's just hope for the best. I'll see you guys in day 2.
Little did I know that day 2 was going to be super treacherous. I started this cruise holiday on September 17th, which coincidentally was also the day where the Singapore Squall happened. And unfortunately, we were hit too, because for the whole morning of day 2, the waves were super choppy, and it made the boat shake so badly. Anyways, it was time to head out for breakfast, and today we decided to try the Chinese cuisine, and I think it was pretty good, but I would have enjoyed it a little bit more if I wasn't feeling so seasick. After breakfast, I decided to just head back to the hotel room because I wasn't feeling so well, and the boat was still shaking badly, so I decided to take a nap. But little did I know that things were only going to get even worse.
A couple hours later, it was time to head out for lunch, and as we were queuing up for the buffet that we missed on day 1, the waves just got even choppier, and the moment I entered the restaurant, that was my breaking point. I felt so nauseous, and I needed to throw up really badly, so I had to leave the restaurant to get a vomit bag. I then went to sit outside for a while hoping I could recover, but I didn't, so I decided to head back to the hotel room and take a nap to recover. And thankfully, I did recover.
Alright, so I just took a really huge nap, and I am a lot better now, and the boat has also stabilised quite a bit, so thank goodness. But anyways, in about an hour, we'll be stopping at Phuket, and after that, we'll come back on the ship and continue our journey. Because I didn’t eat my lunch, I'm just going to go have a really quick meal right now. I decided to head down to the cafe to get a turkey ham and cheese sandwich and another cup of bubble tea which I was equally disappointed with. The sandwich was delicious though, I couldn't complain because it was only $4.
Alright, I'm down to my tea break, and we're going to head to Phuket now. So yes, I'll be dropping off at Phuket for about 5 hours, and then we'll head back onto the ship. I did quite a handful of things in Phuket, so I'm going to be consolidating all of that into a separate vlog, so stay tuned for it! Make sure you’re subscribed!
Welcome back everybody, so I just came back from Phuket, so we're going to be continuing about 3 more days on this cruise ship, and I think tomorrow, we're going to be doing some rock climbing, bowling, just checking out the other stuff on the ship that we missed. So I'm just going to have my well-deserved rest right now, and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
What is up people, it is day 3 of the cruise holiday, and we have one more full day on this boat to do whatever we want. And the ocean is no longer choppy, so I don't feel like vomiting anymore. Oh yeah, I also skipped breakfast because I didn't dare to eat in the morning anymore. I think we're going to try out another buffet today. (Comment the 🚢 emoji if you see this!!) I just realized this is the same buffet we ate two nights ago, but whatever. For today's lunch, I got some rice, lamb and beef rendang which I didn't expect coming. Chicken curry again, salmon again, vegetables, nuggets and, of course, the sauce. And once again, it was a beautiful plate of food. Everything tasted pretty good today, but I have to give the winner to the rendang because it was so good. And after destroying my first plate, it was time for round 2 which is 2 more pieces of salmon and vegetables because I wanted to eat some vegetables today. You know, I thought nothing could go wrong with this beautiful plate of food, but the salad tasted horrible. Like it was not fresh, and it was borderline inedible. Salmon was good though. But at least they had ice cream, and it was okay.
After our lunch, we decided to go for some bowling. And that was when we heard that one round was $10, and we were not paying for that. It wasn't even a full-size bowling alley; it was just overpriced. So we just watched other people instead. So instead of bowling, I decided to play some mini golf. But it was so badly designed because the ball was so light, the wind could just blow it away. The wind just blows the ball away. Yeah, this wasn't the best idea. So because I can't find anything to do, I'm just gonna go swim again. I then went to ride the slides again, but I still couldn't bring my camera with me.
Alright y'all, I just swam for like 2 hours, and I quickly took a bath because I'm going to go head down for some snacks at a buffet place. Surprisingly, they were serving a buffet for free, so I knew I had to get some food for myself. I got some biryani, a sausage, this triangular-looking thing, a slider, a sandwich, and a cup of cold milk. And this is when something unthinkable happened. While I was getting my cup of cold milk, I put my food on the table so I could reserve it. And some person not only stole my seat but apparently he threw away my food as well. I was actually in shock. Oh well, I just got another plate. We got food! I mean, considering it was free, I guess it tasted okay. And as usual, I decided to go for double portion again.
After I ate, there wasn't really much for me to do, so I just walked around the ship. It's too hot!
Hey guys, it's 5:30, and I do not know why my family wants to eat dinner so early, but if it's eating, I'm always ready. For our last dinner on this cruise ship, we knew we wanted to make it a memorable one. So we decided to get some Chinese food, and it was everything but memorable. Not gonna lie, I think this was the worst meal I’ve ever had on this cruise ship, because everything tasted dry and bland. I'm not even kidding. But my grandma still celebrated her birthday. After dinner, we all decided to get some ice cream for dessert since dinner, you know, was not really the best. And it was surprisingly pretty good. I mean, I really needed something that tasted good after that depressing dinner. We all just ate ice cream while we watched the sunset. I'm so glad to end the night with such a beautiful sunset.
Alright y'all, it's the final night of our cruise. I think for the past three days, I've been enjoying myself very much. I just wish that it didn't rain and the boat was less shaky so that I didn't have to suffer as much. But overall, I like this cruise. But I did wish for the food to taste a little bit better though. Especially for the price that we paid for this cruise, the food was really mediocre at best. Except for two of the buffets, I think the rest of the food could be improved a whole lot. Now, I know that they have to cook the food in big batches because we have to cater to so many people on the cruise. But like I said, with the price that I'm paying, I expect the food to be a little bit better.
It is our final day on this cruise ship, and it's time to head out for some western breakfast buffet. For this morning, I decided to get some noodles, eggs, hash browns, hot dogs, and bacon. And of course, fresh milk for my drink. The breakfast was okay. Nothing earth-shattering but also not bad. After speeding through our breakfast, it was already time for us to go back to our room and pack up because we were already nearing Singapore. And it looks like we were a bit too late because getting out of this cruise ship was a nightmare. But we still went through immigration pretty smoothly.
