Sun-Jupiter transits today, which are again not terribly complex, great transits to have. All of the transits from Jupiter to the Sun are actually very good and typically positive. All right, so let's start with the conjunction year, and this is a good day. We like this day when we have this, um.
Now, you can have things going on that are putting pressure on you, so it may not be every year you get a rip-roaring good time. Some years are going to be better than others, depending on what are the influences are in play. If we have other positive influences, or we're in a place where we don't have a ton of planetary pressure, oh my God, these are just the best days of the year. And we have Jupiter-Sun aspects to Jupiter.
So, with the conjunction, we want to do everything. This is a day when we want to include as much in our life experience as we can. So, we're saying yes to a lot of things. We are up for adventure, new experiences. Um, you know, this would be the day where, say, we'd go out to eat, we're going to order something unfamiliar. And we're very optimistic on this day. We feel good about life, and that is projected out into the world.
All of the transits from Sun to Jupiter, we project optimism. We put it out there that we have something good going on, and it reflects back to us. So, we are wanting extroverted activity. This is not a day where we want to stay home. We don't want to be quiet. We want movement, we want dancing, we want input. So, we are seeking out what we normally would not in terms of experience. So, we are happy, we're thinking happy thoughts, and those happy thoughts lead to more happy thoughts.
So, there's about a three-day effect, with the peak day being when the Sun's exact conjunct to Jupiter. It's about a three-day effect where we are kind of a runaway train of optimism. And it's not a bad thing, unless we are, always with Jupiter, overdoing things. We are assuming that things are going to work out at the conjunction. We're feeling confident that what it is we're thinking about, or what it is that we're starting. And we might start something because we're doing different things. We're doing something new. We're including things into our life that are more adventurous. So, this is very often the start of a new adventure, based on what it is that we chose to do differently that day.
So, this is a conjunction we can trace back, um, like a big wave that develops in our life. We can trace it back to this conjunction. Same with Sun-Saturn conjunctions, we can trace back a big trend or wave or experience in our life to that day. So, Sun-Jupiter conjunction day of every year, um, it's year that we're going to start something that is life-changing, or something that crests at some point in our life. But it isn't unusual that this is the day that we will start those waves in our life. So, it's a good one to watch out for.
And the good things that start, the good things that crest, they don't come from luck. It doesn't come from anything outside of ourselves. It doesn't come from, uh, anybody giving anything to us. It is our own. So, one thing we do have to watch out for with this conjunction is getting too big for our britches, being too, uh, uh, vain, because we are feeling pretty good about ourselves and about everything else.
If our advancement depends on winning over someone else, then this is not a good karma or setting up for ourselves. But if our subconscious tendency is about growth through inclusion of others, or cooperation with others, rather than rubbing them out, or stepping on them, or diminishing them so that we can feel more superior. See, if we're not doing that, then we're getting good things out of this conjunction. But if you do want to diminishing someone else, or by taking something from someone else, if, if that is your natural tendency, like if you have a, you know, if you have some runaway Pluto in your chart, then this is a day where we can be extremely selfish. And, uh, we can grow, grow, or we can experience, or we can have adventures at another's expense. So, we are setting up ourselves, we're setting ourselves up for some consequences that are probably going to come due at the opposition. So, we've got to watch out for that. What is your subconscious tendency when it comes to growth or advancement?
Okay, so we will want to take a lot on on this particular day. We need to be careful, though. We, we do want to take on more than we would usually take on. That is a good thing. But we have to be careful in terms of overwhelm and weight, because we're assuming that we're everything, we woke up and we're Superman, and we won't feel like that in a couple of days. So, we'really got to be careful about what we commit ourselves to, because we might not have the gas to actually deliver. Jupiter does have that effect of hot air, and we can certainly not realize that we're full of it when we've got this conjunction. So, we do want to put a little bit more into what it is we're doing, but not too much. We, we can't have a wild expectation that we're going to fulfill. It just doesn't work.
Physically, we tend to be pretty tough as well. We aren't, um, afraid of what we would usually be afraid of. So, we will take more chances with our body. We will push ourselves further. We will, you know, go from 50 sit-ups to 100 because we consume, we assume that we can handle it that day. Um, so we are taxing ourselves. Generally, that is not a bad thing at the conjunction. I don't see bad consequences from physically overdoing it. That seems to be a really good expression of getting the excess out, the excess energy out, or the idea of more, or, you know, the exuberance. It, it, it doesn't seem to have any bad consequences when it comes to pushing ourselves to run further, or, um, just work harder in a physical way. That's good for us.
Alright, so that brings us to, oh, Tusa. Yeah, hi, Jewel. Uh, sorry, this, uh, it probably is going to be a really silly question, but, um, it sounds like the transits, the description of the transits, are like, um, are very similar to how they would work if you had the natal aspects.
Oh, absolutely, yes. It's just for a period time. So, we all get to feel what it's like to have all of the aspects. We all get at least a day out of the year that we get to experience, at least on some level, what it's like to be somebody that, say, has some conjuncted Jupiter in the natal chart when we have that transit. Or, um, my favorite transit, Sun conjunct Venus. I don't have that one, but which I did. That's why everybody loves my dad so much. You know, the Sun conjunct Venus.
Oh, interesting. Okay, so, um, uh, fine. Yes, so that makes sense. So, you know, if somebody, um, uh, for example, already has this, uh, aspect in their natal chart, then transiting Jupiter comes along, does that make it even worse, or are they just...?
Yes, it makes it even better in terms of what we think we could do, and, um, what we think we can feel, and what we think we'll get. And so, you do need to be more careful if you have that natal aspect, because you probably are, um, more go, got to be feeling more entitled and going off a cliff much easier than other people would, because that exuberance is already there, and then we have more on top of it. So, I really feel sorry for people with the Sun-Pluto conjunction, because that day on their birthday, oh my God, oh my God, they feel like every year on their birthday. But with, yeah, yeah, they do. Um, but Sun-Jupiter, if you have that natally, and it's your birthday, and you're going to feel like you can't wait for your birthday to come, that's like the best day of the year. You're going to feel amazing.
A, okay, interesting. So, like, it, do you, do you mean, um, when transiting Pluto comes onto a Sun-Pluto conjunction, or when transiting Sun...?
No, the Sun comes to the Sun-Pluto conjunction, because that's the birthday. Sun conjunct to Sun. And then they already have the Pluto conjunction. And to like a Sun-Saturn conjunction, that can be on their birthday, they feel very somber. They're, they're talking about, you know, the future and about, um, you know, how they can take more responsibility for life. It's not a party day for them. But, oh, Sun-Jupiter people, oh my God, they're going to turn Greek and party for three days. So, that is, yeah. Okay, that's really interesting. Thank you.
You got it. And you'll see that too with oppositions. You get that same effect with oppositions, uh, with Sun on the other side. So, Son, you have a question?
Um, yeah, I was about to say the same thing that you said, uh, Tusa. You read my mind about the transits. Um, but I had a question about the, so every day on your birthday, you would feel whatever is conjunct to your Sun, is that correct? Do I have that correct?
Whatever? Yeah, yeah, because the Sun also will be conjunct to that planet.
Okay, okay, awesome. So, if you have like a Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus mix, you're going to feel all kinds of different feel. You're going to have a lot going on around your birthday.
Yeah, there's got to be a lot of feelings and, uh, particular experiences that happened that particular week. Yeah. Okay, awesome. Thank you.
Welcome.
Alrighty, let's talk about the sextile. Uh, alright, so the sextile and the trine, in classical astrology, are known as the luckiest days of the year. Yes, I know, you would think it would be like the conjunction or something. No, it's the sextile and the trine. These are the days where magic can happen for us. Why? Because we are magic. We are feeling good, and it's just the right amount. It's not like a conjunction where we're over-brimming and we have excess coming out, or the opposition, or the square. The sextile and the trine are just enough good, but not so much that we're delusional. We don't go hot air balloon into the stratosphere with these.
And we are very cooperative. Jupiter is a very extroverted planet anyway. Jupiter is about participation with others. It does. Jupiter doesn't happen outside of culture, outside of societal agreements about what are the common stories that we tell each other, reinforce our ideas about meaning, and bring us comfort and inclusion. You can't do that on your own. Jupiter is societal.
So, with the sextile, we are very keen to be with others and to share our energy, our optimism, our generosity with others. And we are liked. We get this one a couple days out of the year, and the trine too, we get that a couple of days out of the year. So, we have four super lucky days. These are the days to play the lottery. Also, that doesn't mean you're going to win, it just will increase your chances. And it's fun. We just find it fun, and we don't care if we lose too. We're not too, on these days, we're not too invested in it. And that's also what brings the luck, is that we aren't too invested or clean to any one thing. We're just happy about it. So, we're holding things in the palm of our hand instead of gripping.
These are really, really good days to further our dreams if we need to enroll others in that, if we need the aid or the help of others, if we need to spread our word. Because we're so cooperative and we're so willing to listen to others. We tend to pontificate when we have the hard aspects, but we both talk and listen when we have the sextile and the trine. And it is our inclusion, it's our friendliness, it's our generosity that is reflected back to us. Others want to help us, they want to give us things, they want to respond to us warmly, they want to promote us because we made them feel good, because they believe in us, because they have positive associations with us. We're not asking for things outright at the sextile. We're getting offers. We're putting it out out there what we want, but we are not directly asking. So, a lot can be done for us, and we can do for others, which brings us stuff. People want to do for us.
So, um, it's just such a good feeling. These are party days too, where we really do want the company of other people around us. Things don't happen with Sun-Jupiter transits, they don't happen in the absence of other people. So, even if we're on a desert island, we're going to find like a group of magpies to hang around or something when we have a second this. And they'll probably, you know, bring us a piece of bread from across the ocean somewhere out of nowhere, and here we were starting on this island. So, these really positive things happen as a result of us.
So, the more that you can consciously play that up when you have these days, the more that you can, uh, take advantage of this willingness to work with others, this willingness to compliment others, this, the way that we treat others. Um, put even a little bit more energy into that, and you, you will get what you're looking for. We even will get free things sometimes. People will just give us things when we have the sextile and the train because they're so impressed with us.
Hold on, family is so loud. Guys, can you be a little... guys, hey, hey, Mom, can you be a little bit quieter? You guys are showing up on my audio. You're so loud. That's my family. [Laughter] Voice, it sounds like a nagging wife.
Alrighty, so, oh, also with the sextile, we are resonating very, very well with people that have a certain amount of influence, authority, or power. We're not outright seeking those people consciously. What, what it's an expression of is, at the sextile and the trine, we, we have a really good sense of the big picture. What is everything made up of, and what is our place in it? We don't feel at a loss, you know, we don't feel lost these days. We're connected more to purpose, and we realize that those in power, or those who have attained something, or a certain amount of success, might know some things. And that's what we're after, is that information, experience. We want to know what they know. It's not egotistical, we're not looking to one-up them, we're not jealous. We want. And so, rub shoulders with people that might have more influence, power, or authority than we do on these particular days. Unconsciously, we will position ourselves around those people.
Uh, alright, so that brings us to the square. Uh, where we think we can do anything. It's even worse than the conjunction. Oh my God, we are taxing ourselves at the square. We're eating more, we're drinking more, we're partying more. Our guts are probably stuffed full of cheeses we've never tasted before, because we want a little bit of everything. So, it is excessive, it is happy.
If you're already prone to excess, if you already, already have a Sun-Jupiter aspect, then watch out because you could put on a pound or two. It can be rather harmless if we are normally rather conservative. This can actually be a really good transit if you have a hard time with expressing yourself or asserting yourself. If you're very introverted, this can be one that will push you towards the edge of the diving board. If you are already excessive, you do need to watch out because you probably don't need any more calories.
So, Jupiter is, uh, offering us more, um, and we have to just be careful with what we do with it because we can be indiscriminate if we are already indiscriminating. Um, again, if, if, if you run a bit lean, if you run a bit sad, then this will give you a sense of optimism or a can-do attitude. Uh, it's unlikely that you will run into a lot of trouble when it comes to excess. This would be the day that it would fill your cup up a little bit. Because if you run a lot of, run Saturn heavy, your Capricorn heavy, your cup is always going to be half empty, or it might just have a few drops in it. You've got a lot of Saturn aspects to your Moon, might be a drop, maybe, in that cup. But on the days that we have the square, a couple days a year that we have the square from Sun to Jupiter, we get a few more drops in our cup, or our level comes up. If it's half full, it might come up to three-quarters. And then throughout the year, it SIDS back down. It's a day where we can feel full.
And, um, again, if your cup is already very full, it will run over, and you will get into trouble. We will get into trouble if we go excessive on this day. There are consequences. Um, there can be health consequences. There can be, um, it can actually have an impact on our reputation too, because Jupiter is messages that carry. We can become known as excessive, or somebody could like see us out drunk or something, and it could have an impact on how people view us. So, it is important to be cognizant of how, what over-drinking, over-whatever.
Um, we are quite opinionated when we have the square. Again, as Sagittarians, people with a lot of Jupiter, they tend to think they're right, and that they have superior, uh, beliefs or arguments or opinions. And sometimes they will, sometimes they will, depending on how Mercury is aspected. Sometimes they might have really good arguments. Uh, but they do tend to assume across the board that they are more right. But they don't know that. People that are Sagittarius heavy or Jupiter heavy, they, they would never see themselves as egotistical in their opinions. They're just simply more right. This. So, um, we are obnoxious potentially on the days when we have this particular square. And if we assert ourselves confidence, then we can really be acting like a unmedicated idiot.
So, um, we will want to be with people. We will want to be interacting in social situations and environments. And that puts us more at risk for being an idiot. So, just watch what you say, watch what you drink, watch what you do, and be prepared to listen to other people's opinions. Because, uh, we think we're so right, and we are so happy, and we are so, you know, full of alcohol and sugar that on these days, you know what? It's like we turn into Jabba the Hutt. That's what we, what, that's what we do, have the square. We sit around being Jabba the Hutt, and we get all fat and happy, and sit around. And, um, it's all about us, and we want people to come and, you know, serve us and stuff. If we're acting too kingly, uh, people won't like us. They won't, it will backfire, and will be seen as excessive and selfish.
If we are, however, willing to include other people in our partying, see, if Jabba the Hutt did make people dance for him and throw him in the pit, if he like included them in all of his good stuff, no problem. And that's what we want to do. We want to include everybody in our good stuff. We want to listen to other people. We want to hear what they have to say. We want to learn from them. Our tendency is to speak instead of here at the square. And that's when we're probably having a massive Dunning-Kruger effect occurring. We think we're smart, but we're actually stupid. So, be careful.
Alright, that brings us to the trine. Yes, so we get the trine two days of the year, exactly. And this is another super lucky transit because we are putting ourselves out there in a way that pays dividends. We have a really good idea of how we fit into the all. We at least have a better sense of what, what, you know, what our cog in the wheel looks like.
So, if normally you are somebody that doesn't really understand purpose, your, your purpose doesn't have a lot of drive towards the fulfillment of purpose, um, you know, it's kind of blown in the wind a bit. Uh, these are days where we can get a better sense of what it all means and how we fit into it. And, um, what should we be doing? Not even "should be," what *could* we be doing? Because there is no "what should we be doing," that's a myth. There's no, there's nothing out there, there's nobody that can tell you what you should be doing. There's just you that decides what you could be doing. I know that's disappointing that it's the way that it is.
So, we decide what is going to work for us when we have the trine, and we get to start pursuing that. Um, we're feeling very, uh, willing to work with others, and willing to listen to others, willing to cooperate with others. And we can be very influential ourselves because we're coming across as having some amount of wisdom. It's not the hot air effect that we're experiencing at the square. We are able to understand, know bigger, or, or have, have access to some bigger understanding, to some bigger concepts than usually we would have. So, we're waxing a bit philosophical when we have the trine, and it can pay us back. People benefit from what we have to impart to them at this time.
Uh, we are generous. We are assuming that things are going to work out for us. And, um, it's easier to let go of things when we have the trine because we aren't sad about making room in our life. We understand that a "no" to something here is a "yes" to something over here. And we're happy to make those choices when we have the trine. We're not clinging to what we think might make us happy because we feel lack. So, it's the feeling lack that makes us more willing to let go of some things that may not be working for us, that make space. We're making space for what really is beautiful, fulfilling in our life.
These are great days for meditation because it may be that in that space you can come to that place where you are willing, because, because you gain perspective, you are willing to let go. And it's the "Let It Go" that brings the riches to us. That's the best thing about this trine is that, see, at the sextile and the trine, we don't hold on to things tightly. We hold an open hand, and more comes into our hand. So, yeah, wouldn't it be nice to have these in your natal chart, huh? The trine between Sun and Jupiter. Huh, wonderful, wonderful aspect to have.
Alright, so I think that's all I had with that one. Yeah, new experience, new people, new things, but it's not excessive, so we don't have to worry so much about getting out of hand with the trine.
Alright, that leads us to the opposition, which is a peak in the Sun-Jupiter cycle. So, this is the response to the conjunction as well. So, this is an excessive transit. We can, um, assume that we know everything, and that everything will work out, and that, uh, we will never die, never going to age again. But, uh, we will come back to reality a you days later.
How we deal with people makes a big difference at the opposition. If we are trying to balance our happiness and our exuberance and our need for growth with others, if we're working with others, oh, these are great days. Well, a great day that we have, because we only have this once a year. Um, but if we are trying to put ourselves first, if we are somebody that unconsciously believes that growth comes at the expense of another, or that for us to grow, somebody else has to shrink. (Now they're in their cussing, so I hope it doesn't show up. If it does, you never, you never know what you're going to get here.)
So, we are not, um, we are not shy on the day of the opposition. We are projecting ourselves boldly into the world. If you are somebody that is normally reticent, or introverted, or, or shy, if you run Saturn heavy, this could be a day that you do something uncharacteristic, or you push yourself a little bit farther than you normally would, and if it pays off. But if you're already excessive, this is the day, um, that we can really go overboard. The square and the opposition our days when we can, uh, have a negative impact on ourselves and others. We might end up overshadowing people around us with the opposition that would otherwise be very helpful to us, and we may not notice them.
This can be a selfish transit because we're focused on our own, um, our own need for more, our own need for adventure, our own plans. And we may be overlooking the support, the friendship, the offerings of others. So, if we turn down the volume a bit, we make it the cooperation that we're really looking for.
Um, oh, self, uh, problems that, that we can get into. We can feel really extremely correct, and, um, other people will turn away from us. But at the opposition, they may not tell us, really. They may not tell us. They're thinking it as we're sitting there drinking and eating a stuck pig and laughing loud with our king hat on. They're sitting there thinking, "You know, I used to like you, but now I'm not so sure." But people will generally not react to us in the moment. We see it down the line when we have the square or when we have the conjunction. So, we have to just be careful about our assumption about what people think thinking about us, because we tend to think that everybody's agreeing with us, and that they're fine with us, you know, eating a greasy turkey leg like Henry VIII. And, and, you know, they're fine with it. You know, they ordered it too. And if we really look closely, they may not have.
So, we are being really just, I, I think, self-indulgent to the max when we have the opposition. And be very careful about what you buy, what you spend on, and who you spend on, because we can also be self-indulgent in indulging other people. Like, it may not be in our best interest to do that. So, if we're buying the whole bar another round of drinks, um, it's generous, but it may not be in our own personal best interest to do that. And it's generally in service to how we'd like to be seen. So, be careful about what you let go, money, uh, resource-wise.
Um, try to harmonize with others. Try to party with others rather than by dancing on top of their dropped bodies, um, because that really takes the fun out of things. If we can really be with others, then, uh, we can get some good things out of this. People will reflect that back to us. We will get the generosity back, we'll get the, the good things back. But it's the waste that we run into. We might waste ourselves, our reputation. We might get wasted, um, on this day. And, and it just doesn't pay us back. So, we do have to ex exercise restraint. If we're exercising restraint, we'll get, um, just as many good things out of the opposition as we get out of the conjunction. But that is the caveat.
Okay, what time are we at? Uh, we have 10 minutes. Alright, so I'm going to open up some questions.
