I don't really listen to a whole lot of music, and Mar used to listen to a lot, a lot of different music. But trying to focus now just on gospel music. I try to keep my focus on God, what He wants me to do. So I know it's kind of sudden, but are you Elvis Presley by any chance? You know, uh, you don't need Paul, you don't need Peter, you don't need Judas, you don't need Elvis. You need Jesus. Is this man actually the Elvis? Where's Jesus at? Let's find Jesus.
The endless rabbit hole and mystery people ask is, you know, what would he be doing now? Or, or, you know, what would his life be? And I, I think, you know, Elvis, Elvis would always be a part of music, no matter what. I mean, it was in his blood. I think that maybe he'd be going in the gospel, preaching a little bit. He loved to have, you know, he loved to teach. And Elvis wanted her to have everything because he didn't really, no, he, no, he too grew up very, very poor. And, and it's exactly what he said the other day. There's now evidence suggesting Elvis staged his death to escape the mafia. It's not just a rumor at this point. It's backed by compelling incidents that have happened. People witnessed a black helicopter above Graceland right before his supposed death on the toilet. This doctor just came out and claimed he treated Elvis for over five years after the news said he died. Is Elvis Presley alive? Absolutely. I would testify in a court of law. Graceland allowed public viewing of Elvis's body before the funeral, and attendees noted his remarkably youthful appearance. And many said he looked identical to a wax figure. There's endless coincidences that suggest Elvis may have faked his death. But if that's the case, where is Elvis now? And the real question, who is Elvis Presley now? Forget about Elvis, I want to see Jesus. You know, forget about all these other people, I want to see Jesus.
Why are you doing what you're doing? And I'll say, look at Jesus. I used to do that with my legs a lot, but I up my arm and shoulder a little bit after that. Yeah. Do you ever feel communication with your father? You ever feel that channeling? Some people claim that they feel their father or their mother departed around them. I don't know, you know, you know, I mean, if I, I, uh, I don't want to answer. I gave you my house, I gave you my car, I gave you my family, I gave you my money, I gave you my land, I gave you my cattle, I gave you my dog, my cat, I gave everything I got. That was the most important thing in his life was at money. Jesus walked up him, looking at his eyeballs, he said, follow me. All the people standing around the line of, I've been lines and lines of people, but wait, he left his lifeline. No matter how much people think they have, they have nothing. Whatever you think you have, it's nothing.

I am not trying to leave people to believe or make them believe that I'm somebody that I'm not. To make people believe that I'm somebody that I'm not, I am no other person. I could name some names here, there, but, you know, I'm supposed to be at least one of three different people. I got to be one of them. I can't be myself. I've got to be one of those guys." In other words, he was not going to give satisfaction to some jerk out there that was trying to point the finger and say, "This is all about money, and you're just all about trying to scam people and make money for yourself." Paul said, "I'm not going to have that. I want you to know that this is not for money, but it's for the sake of Jesus Christ. I live in a little poor house. I'm a poor man. I, I drive a 12-year-old truck. My wife drives an 11-year-old car. So, you know, we're not trying to make money. We're trying to preach the gospel and be a blessing to others. And if people come here for any other reason than you're coming for the wrong reason. We're not here to support a man. We're here to support Jesus Christ. I want to make that very clear. I am not anybody else but who I am. And now the case is closed. It's over with. It's done. It's finished. It's through. It's done. It's over. I don't want to hear no more about it from anybody. Amen. Is that all right with everybody? Okay. God bless you."
At the end of the day, whether Bob Joyce is Elvis Presley or not, let's all respect his privacy and respect his message he's trying, trying to give the world. And Cousin Vinnie and everybody else you could think of.
Boy, I remember when I was a little kid, we was downtown with my family, and we was poor, and we lived in government projects. We was downtown, and my mother had so just a little bit of money in her purse. Didn't have hardly anything left after we got downtown. When we going to get back? So I said, I got to go to the bathroom. I was about, you know, I was about nine, ten years old. I went down to the men's room, walking along there, looking down there on the floor, and there was a $20 bill down on the floor. And you'd have thought I'd hit the hit the jackpot, you know. I mean, back then, a $10, $20 bill, brother, that was like a, that was like a $100 bill, you know. Dinner. It's treasure. I didn't go the N to say, I didn't go to the men's room. I ran right back upstairs. I said, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama, look. She said, hide that thing. Don't show anybody that money. Put it back down here. Pocket. Waiting in the in the hotel room, he would go over and pick up the Gideon Bible and he would open it and he'd say, "Oh," and he'd read the text that he just opened to, and he would give a little talk about it. And he said, "Now, what do you think, Mr. Loress? What does that say to you?" Or he'd hand me the Bible and say, "You open it and see what you get to." But he loved that. God led me to open the Bible. Open the Bible up. Just, I wasn't looking for nothing. I wasn't looking for a scripture. I wasn't looking for anything. I didn't stumble through there. I didn't go through no references. I didn't, I didn't look it up in a concordance. I wasn't looking for any particular verse. I just opened the Bible. I just flipped it open and I pointed my finger. I just pointed my finger, and this was the verse: "I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord." Amen. Right. That God, God did that. He, he brought that to me. He gave me that word. That happened like five times. Four or five times. I opened the Bible and just started reading, and every verse that I read spoke of the same, the same word, same kind of words. Elvis, uh, had the book in his hand, and he gave it to someone. He said, "Open the book to any page." And the person opened it and started to read. Elvis recited the rest of the page by memory and explained it to the person. He would jot down and and underline things that he'd want to talk to somebody about, and he'd have an initial talk to somebody about so-and-so, somebody else about so-and-so.
The old man is dead. You don't, you don't dig up something that's dead. You leave it buried. Bible says everyone that's called of God is also glorified. When we come into newness of life with Christ, transformation. I'm no longer under the power of the law, but now I'm under the power of the grace of God who raised Jesus from the dead. I'm no longer walking in the old self and the old flesh and the world and the things that I used to walk in in this life in sin having dominion over me. Now that I've been raised from the dead, transformation taking place. Like were butterflies, you know, caterpillar that turned into a butterfly, you know, caterpillar was in the cocoon, wrapped himself up, and he came, had new birth, came out as a beautiful butterfly, flew away. The old man must so that the new man may. He rose up and he took those rags they had on, he showed them all. "I rejoice in you, oh God. I know that you made me ready. I'm ready to, I'm ready." He just took those rags, brother Wayne, and just threw him off of it, and he got up with excitement and he ran to Jesus. He's leaving their own life. He's throwing off them rags. He's throwing off what he knew before. Everything that held him down, everything that that identified him, he was tore it off of him. That old man is dead. He left the table, left everything, just left sitting there. All that money, bags of money, just let sitting there. Every man owes God, and you pay God with your life. He's not going to tell anything less than that. I gave you my house, I gave you my car, I gave you my family, I gave you my money, I gave you my land, I gave you my cattle, I gave you my dog, my cat, I gave everything I got. That was the most important thing in his life, at money. Jesus walked up him, looking at his eyeballs, he said, "Follow me." Immediately, immediately he left the money. All the people standing around the line of, up and lines and lines of people that waiting, he left his life behind. He give it all up because there's nothing. There's nothing really to give up, you know. What the world of sin and shame is really nothing. No matter how much people think they have, they have nothing. Whatever you think you have, it's nothing. No matter how much you think you gain, you gain nothing compared to Christ. I'm all shook up. Amen. The Lord's going to shake us up. I used to do that with my legs alive, but I up my arm and shoulder. I'm getting too old now there with my legs. Amen. I ain't never going to forget that. I used to have a gold jacket. Once I'm not going to concern myself with what I was and what I had before. Forget about Elvis, I want to see Jesus. You know, forget about all these other people, I want to see Jesus.
Um, as far as music, uh, what kind of music do you listen to? Uh, I know that, um, in the, uh, congregation, you are always making sure that the songs are, are, uh, uplifting and Christ-related. But like, what kind of music do you, do you like on outside of that? I don't really listen to a whole lot of music, and more used to listen to a lot, a lot different music, trying to focus now just on gospel music. I try to keep my focus on God and what he wants me to do. Do you, do you have a favorite, uh, song that you, or like that you like to play on Sunday? Like, I know I go here and, you know, every once in a while when you play one of their favorites, I can, I can see the energy of the room. But at the same time, do you have a favorite, favorite song, uh, that that you like to play on Sundays? Well, it depends on, I guess, the way the spirit's moving, you know. Sometimes, sometime there's a perfect song for the perfect, for perfect moment, that would be my favorite. You know, I hear these, we, we focus on the older songs. I mean, there's so many new modern songs today that I'm not sure most churches sing, uh, but I, I'm, I'm learning all the time that there's so many people that are really wanting to hear the old songs, the older songs. So, so I focus on that, focus on some of the old, you know, most of the older songs because there's a lot of people, maybe in, in today's world, especially the younger generation, who haven't heard these old songs, and when they do hear them, they love them. Yeah. So does a song really get worn out? Does it become obsolete? I don't think so. I think, I think the older songs have so many good words in them of the gospel. They, they, they, they speak of the gospel in which we believe, you know, other than, I mean, worship songs. I understand worship songs, uh, but to me, worshiping God is not just singing the song that's full of, you know, "We praise you" and "Hallelujah" and "Glory to God," which is wonderful, and we do sing those kind of songs. But also when we sing songs that, uh, speak of all the things that we believe that God has showed us and God has done for us in our life, those also create a form of worship because we're saying to God the things that we, we believe, and we thank Him for those things, whether it's salvation, spirit, you know, the blood, all those, all those things that have to do with, uh, the doctrine of Christ and our faith and all that we believe and all that we live for and talk about and we testify about and speak about and preach about, you know, it, it's all, it's all good. It's all good.
One really final question here. When it comes to your, your ministry, did you ever envision when you first started at that strip mall with a Pizza Hut nearby or whatever, did you ever imagine that the, when you first started, that it would end up, I, you have a lot of people all over the world that's following you and listening to your sermons and your music? Did you ever envision that when you first started? No, never. No, I never saw, never thought that. But, you know, for a small, the one I look at, for a small church, I think we're doing very well that way. Do you ever regret it that, that, you know, good, I know some, some people here that come regular like, "Hey, you talked about this, we might get too," like people would worry about, "Hey, we might get too big and lose that family feeling." And you were at the service saying, "No, it's not going to happen." Do you ever envision that happening where it this actually grows that big? Well, it always comes back to that bottom line, doesn't it? Everything's in God's hands, and what He wants to do here. So if we'll just, uh, be sensitive to that and just focus on God, follow the spirit, and let God make things work out the way that He wants it to to be, whether it becomes larger, then I don't believe we will lose that, that family atmosphere, that spirit of love and unity that, that we have. And I know that God, you say it, it's in God's hands, but what, how do you determine that? Do you make it a prayerful thing that God leads you through the scriptures, or, or a dream, or like, how, how do you determine the voice of, of, of Christ in your life? Well, uh, how do I determine your voice when you speak? God is not, uh, unable to let us know in His own way that answer to do right. I mean, all He's got to do is just let me know. And I'm the kind of person that believes that the way God works with us is that He works in us. It is God working in us to do His will. I believe the same applies not only to what we do as a minister or as Christians and, uh, in our work for God, but also in our prayers. I believe God's working in us in, in our prayers as well, so that, uh, we know that we're with it, we're with God, we're, we're with Him, you know, we're not separate. We're not in the dark. God's brought us into the light, fellowship with Him, and now we're, we're moving with Him. And so as we move with God, not only what we do, uh, in works, but also in our, in our prayers. So therefore, when I pray and ask God for something, I believe, I believe it is something that He is moving in my heart to ask for. So God knows our need here, and it's getting kind of desperate, and so we're moved, we're moved in that direction. "Father, you know the need, and we thank You. You've got this planned out, and so You're going to work it out. We're asking You for it because You know the need is there." Just like we're asking for this building, and, and God gave it to us, and, and so that's how it works. So I'm not, I'm not really worried about it. I'm not really, uh, uh, doubtful. I'm hopeful, and, and God's will will be, will be done. And whether we grow larger than good, we come, you know, we want to, we want some land where we can put up a building if we have to have it built enough to hold capacity of maybe three to five hundred people. That's not a very good place. That's small compared to most churches today, but I don't think we need thinging if we do, then God let us know. He'll let us know. But I mean, we had, we had, we had enough to see three to five hundred people. I think that'd be plenty enough room. And I said, "Lord, whatever You do, give us plenty enough parking. We want plenty of parking so people won't have to park up the street." It is double park, try to get to the church, and then you go here, and I'm telling you, man, you got to go here, and you got to go like, "Oh, I'm all the way blocking everyone in." Yeah. More than anything, more than anything, my prayer is that God's spirit will rest upon us here, that we're all filled with the spirit of God, and that the Holy Ghost will, you know, be overflowing in this church, and the souls will find the Lord, be saved, that the church will be edified, you know, and that's the most important thing. Without that, anything else means nothing. It doesn't mean anything. Numbers don't mean anything. If you had 5,000 people, that wouldn't mean anything without the spirit of God, without Christ, it means nothing. And so that, that spirit of love, which is the bond of perfection, Bible says that love is the bond of perfection. It binds us together, makes us a family, makes us care and love and share and worship God together and have that wonderful fellowship, spirit of fellowship together.
