Peace and love, family, in the mighty name of Jesus. We're back once again, taking a look at "What Thus Said the Lord." And since we are men and women of God, nothing else matters but what thus saith the Lord, because we live our life for Him.
So, what we're gonna deal with today is, uh, you know, we're gonna have a look through the scriptures. We're gonna let the scriptures tell us, uh, what the Bible says about witches, warlocks, wizards, tarot cards, burning sage, so on and so forth, using enchantments and divinations and things of that nature. We're gonna take a look and we're gonna see how God feels about this. And let's keep in mind, God is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. He does not change. God is the same. So, we, we can go back to the law and find out what God said about witches, wizards, warlocks, so on and so forth.
So, let's take a look, because a lot of people in 2023 are steeped in this type of stuff, and it ain't nothing new under the sun. People have been using black magic and divinations and so on and so forth. But we're gonna find out those type of people, ultimately, if they don't change from that type of stuff, they die. They perish. God, God said, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." So, let's take a look and see what thus said the Lord.
Let's go over here to, uh, Deuteronomy 18. We gotta break out the law on this. This stuff that's unlawful, we gotta bring, we gotta put the law on the stuff that's unlawful, because too many people are out here being deceived. That's why the scriptures tell us, "Try the spirit by the spirit." You got a question, "Where is this stuff coming from?" That stuff is not biblical. God never told us to use enchantments and divinations. But anyway, let's get right on into it.
Let's look at, uh, Deuteronomy, uh, 18, and we're gonna read nine down to 14. Let's get a look at this. Let's see what He said. So, this is Deuteronomy 18:9-14. He said, "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shall not learn to do after the abomination of those nations." So, when God was giving the children of Israel the land of Canaan, He said, "Don't learn to do after the abominations of the people that was in the land before you. Don't do that stuff."
He said, "There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consultant with familiar spirits." Why they call them familiar spirits? Because it's going to be somebody that's familiar to you that these wicked spirits or these, uh, evil angels will imitate, as we're gonna see throughout the course of this lesson. Because, uh, Saul, he went and visited that witch that was in Endor, and she conjured up a spirit and brought up to him what she, what he perceived to be Samuel. But Samuel was dead already. But anyway, you know, you got some people talking about they gonna contact their ancestors. How? That man, that's, that's some foolishness. That's a, that's a, that's a lying spirit that you're dealing with. That ain't your ancestors, because the scripture said, "In the day that you perish, your thoughts perish, and your spirit go back to God who gave it." So, we're gonna take a look at this, though.
But He said, "or charmer, or consultant with familiar spirits, or wizard, or necromancer." Somebody that's trying to deal with the dead. Look at this. Let's, let's get a definition on, uh, what this divination is. Let's go over here to this, uh, this is the Pictorial Bible Dictionary. All right. Let's go over here. Let's look at this definition for divination. Let's see what divination says.
It said, "Divination: The attempt to obtain secret knowledge, especially of the future, either by inspiration or by reading and interpreting a source of certain signs called omens. Those who practice divination assume the gods or spirits are in possession of secret knowledge desired by men, and that they could be induced to impart it. Divination was highly developed by all ancient peoples—the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, etc., and even the Hebrews practiced it, although it was severely condemned by Moses and the prophets."
Now, wait a minute. This stuff was condemned by Moses and the prophets. Well, who gave the word to them? To Moses and the prophets? It was none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. And, and the Lord said out of His own mouth. Let me show you this too. Let's go over here to, uh, and we're gonna come back to this dictionary, because we, we're not done. We gotta look at enchantment.
Let's go over here to this. Let's go and look at, uh, let's go and look at James 1, just to show you what the scripture said concerning this. If you want any informational wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, you got to go and ask God. Don't go and try to get no tarot reading from no witch. That's a lying spirit they dealing with. Look at this. James 1 and verse 5. It said, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." So, we gotta go and ask God if we're looking for any wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We want to know what's going to happen. We gotta go and ask God. A lot of times, what we're asking for is already written to us in the scriptures. He didn't already gave us the answer.
Look at this. He said, "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. He said, 'For let not that man think that he should receive anything of the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.'" So, anyway, you got these people that's out here consulting witches and getting palm readings. Stop doing that, people. Stop doing that type of stuff, because you're gonna, you're gonna bring damnation on yourself. You would get something, you're gonna get a, a, a, a, a wound that you ain't gonna be able to cure. Leave them people alone. That stuff is not supposed to be going on.
But let's take a look at this now, because we just seen divination, and we've seen that this Bible dictionary, it agrees with the Bible saying that it was, uh, condemned by Moses and the prophets. He said it was severely condemned. But let's go back over here. Let's look at something else. Let's go and look and see what this definition for enchantment is.
It says, "Enchantment: The use of any form of magic, including divination." So, anything that you use in to do any type of magic, black magic, any type of divination, we're not supposed to be dealing with that as human beings. It don't matter what nation of people you come from, as human beings that God created, we're not supposed to deal with this stuff. It said, "All forms of enchantment were forbidden." All forms of enchantment were forbidden. God's people, God's people. What did it say? God's people. And I guess that's just the end of the, that's the end of this, uh, definition. But anyway, it said the use of any form of magic, and it was forbidden. All right. So, this stuff was not supposed to be going on.
Let's get back to the Bible. Uh, let's pick it up this time at verse 12. It said, "For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord; and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee." So, the people that was in the land of Canaan before Israel got there, they were doing those types of things, and they got kicked out. Well, Israel started to do the same type of stuff, using enchantments and consulting wizards and all of that, and they wound up eventually getting kicked out of the land too, for being disobedient to God.
So, look at what God said. He said that stuff was an abomination, and if it was an abomination, then it's still an abomination to this very day in 2023. So, look, He said, "Thou shall be perfect with the Lord thy God." For these nations which thou shall possess hearken unto observers of times. They're looking, dealing with astrology. They, they watching the clouds. Asking, "What, what's your zodiac sign?" See, Satan is very crafty. He tries to mingle himself in with the word of God and try to, you know, uh, he's a fraud. That's what he does. He, he deceives people. In the name of Jesus, when this man of sin comes around, he's going to be deceiving people with lying wonders. But anyway, He said, "For these nations which thou shall possess hearken unto observers of times and diviners; but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do." Because we supposed to be holy. We're not supposed to mess around with this kind of stuff.
Let's go over to Leviticus 19 and let's see what He said over here, because we got to break out the law on this type of stuff. Let's go and look at Leviticus 19. Look, the Lord and gave us the answers in the scriptures. Look at this. We don't need to be seeking after no wizard, so no, uh, uh, false, false divinations, using enchantments. Look at this. Look at what He said. Leviticus 19, let's read 26 and then we're gonna skip down to 31. He said, "Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times." Don't be getting off into no horoscope. "What's your sign, man?" That stuff is, man, that stuff ain't biblical. Don't do that.
Look at what else He said. 31. He said, "Regard not them that have familiar spirits." Why they call them familiar spirits? Once again, because it's going to be something that's familiar to you. They go, these people are able to conjure up spirits that's familiar to you. Look at when them people be trying to use, we, Ouija boards and all of this kind of stuff. They conjuring up some, some spirits that is familiar to them, but they lying spirits, because remember, Satan is out here working behind all of that stuff, not God. So, He said, "Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God." So, if you do this kind of stuff, you'll be defiled in God's sight. We want to stay away from that, people. And being a watchman, we got to warn people of this kind of stuff.
Let's go and take a look, since people is, you know, getting into this type of stuff, we need to be seeking God, because He got all the answers. You don't want to listen to no lying, uh, uh, wizard or no witch. God, I said you supposed to, they were supposed to be put to death. But, uh, let's take a look when God don't change. Look at this. Let's look at, uh, Isaiah 8. I said, eight, and let's read, uh, 19 through 20. So, let's see what He said over here.
He said, "And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits and unto wizards that peep and that mutter." See, because these, these, uh, lying spirits, they can tell you a little bit about some things, because they've been watching. They already know what's going on, so they gonna tell you what you want to hear, make it sound good too. So, He said, "Once again, at the top of 19, and when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits and unto wizards that peep and that mutter." Should not people, should not a people seek unto their God? So, people going after tarot cards and trying to get a palm reading, man, you need to be seeking after God. Leave them people alone. Don't mess with them people. You'll get a bad spirit that'll attach to you and destroy your whole life if you don't leave that stuff alone.
He said, "Shall not a people seek unto their God?" We supposed to be seeking God, not no palm reading. He said, "for the living to the dead?" Why? Why would the living go and try to conjure up some dead spirits? Why would you go and try to talk to your dead ancestors? Which they not answering you no way. You, you talking to a lying spirit. You take, you're talking to one of Satan's agents. Let's see what He said. He said, "To the law and to the testimony." The Old and the New Testament. And not only the Old and the New Testament, it's also what God has shown you and your testimony and your life about God. So, what we supposed to live by? "To the law and to the testimony." "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
Wait a minute. Let's go and see what the testimony is, though. Let's go and see what this testimony is. Let's go to Revelations 19. Revelations 19, and let's pick it up. Revelations 19 and 10. Let's see what the, what's the testimony. John said, "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant." Because John was bowing down, about to worship an angel, and the angel said, "I'm your fellow servant. Don't do that." He said, "And of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." That's the testimony right there, talking about Jesus. That is the spirit of prophecy.
So, now let's go back to Leviticus 20. We're gonna stay in the law a little bit. Let's go back over here, Leviticus 20, and let's take a look at verse, let's read 26-27. Leviticus 20:26-27. Let's see what this says.
So, God said, "And ye shall be holy unto me." Meaning that we supposed to be set apart. What sets us apart? The word that God spoke unto us. That's what sanctifies us. That's what keeps us holy. His word and His blood, trusted in what He did for us, talking about Jesus Christ. He said, "And ye shall be holy unto me: I am the Lord which have hallowed you from other people, that ye should be mine." So, God entered into a covenant with the nation of Israel, saying that, "Hey, look, all that the Lord said, we will do and be obedient." We are not to be going and looking after no, uh, uh, for no palm readings, no tarot cards, burning no sage, thinking that you're gonna get an evil spirit out of your house. No, the only way to get evil spirits out of your house is to pray and ask God to help you cleanse your heart. Let's go and see, or get, get whatever spirit that's in your dwelling place up out of there. Cast that spirit out in the name of Jesus, and that name got power. That's the only name given among men whereby we must be saved. So, don't let nobody be with you about that name either.
So, He said, "A man also or a woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death." "They shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them." They gonna pay for their sins, is what this is saying. Ain't no sacrifice for that. They gonna pay for that if they don't, if they don't repent. You will be killed the second time, because all men gonna die once, for the most part. But, uh, let's go back and take a look at this now.
Let's go and read this over here in First Samuel. Let's go and look at First Samuel. Let's go and look at somebody who went and sought after a witch, and let's see what he came up with, because we got to show these examples. So, let's go over here, First Samuel, let's go to First Samuel 28, and let's start at verse three. Let's see what we can see over here. This is over here, Saul about to go and, uh, talk to this witch at, uh, at Endor, because God has stopped answering him because he was disobedient. Then he turned right back around and added iniquity to his iniquity and went and sought after a witch, which was the wrong move. That was like the final icing on the cake for the Lord. But look at this.
First Samuel 28 and verse 3. "And Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land." So, Saul had got rid of those, the ones that had familiar spirits and the wizards, he put them out of the land. And it said, "Now Samuel was dead." Now we understand from reading the scriptures that when you're dead, you don't know nothing. As a matter of fact, let's just go and take a look at it. Let's go over to, uh, Ecclesiastes 9, and we're gonna come right back to the, uh, First Samuel 28, and we'll pick it up at four when we come back. But let's look at Ecclesiastes 9, and let's take a look at verses, uh, five through six. Let's read this, and then we're gonna skip down, because we know that when you die, you sleep. You don't have no consciousness of nothing. It ain't no such thing as no ghosts haunting you and all of that. Those are familiar spirits or evil spirits that's coming up with some stuff.
So, let's look at, let's look at this. It says, this is Ecclesiastes 9:5-6. It says, "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything: neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." The dead is dead. They don't know nothing. They sleep. He said, "Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy is now perished." So, if they die loving anyone, or was envious of anyone, or hating anyone, that's all gone. It's dead. Ain't nothing happening when you die. You dead. He said, "Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy is now perished: neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." So, look, once you're dead, that's it. Until the Lord called you out that grave, you were not gonna live again.
Let's skip down to verse, let's get down to verse 10. Let's see what verse 10 says. He said, "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." So, ain't nothing there. It's desolate in that grave. You ain't doing nothing. And this kills that, uh, you, you know, reincarnation type thing. It ain't no reincarnation. You live once, and that's it. You're gonna come back again after the Lord will wake you up. It ain't no reincarnation. It's a regeneration. You're gonna put this body in the ground, and when the Lord called the ones that died in Him back up, and even when He called all of the dead back up, they gonna live again, and they're gonna be judged. You don't see nobody coming back as another human being. You don't see that. That's not scriptural. That's not in the Bible.
So, now let's go and take a look and see what else happens at death. Let's just get right to the point. Ecclesiastes 12 and 7. He said, "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." This is what happens when you die. The dust returns back to the earth, because man was taken from the ground, and that's where we gonna go back to dust. God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and because man sinned and listened to the, to Satan the devil, we go back to the earth when we die. Okay? That's why you got so many cemeteries around here. That's why you got so many graves, because when people die, they get laid in the grave.
So, now let's go back to First Samuel 28, once again. First Samuel 28. Let's go back here. First Samuel 28 and, uh, let's start at verse 4 this time. We're just gonna read a little bit, because I don't want to skip over nothing, because we got to get this all in context. So, look at this. It said, "And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled."
So, now Saul is afraid because he sees how many Philistines there is, and now he's he's scared. But remember, the Lord ain't gave us the spirit of fear. But because he didn't listen to God's voice, God wasn't with him anymore. So, look, when you're afraid, you ain't got the spirit of the Lord, man. God ain't there. When you're in, in this instance, look at this. It said, "And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets." God wasn't answering him because he, what? He was disobedient. If you back up a couple chapters, you go back and look at, uh, First Samuel 15, you'll see where Saul did, he took the best of the, uh, the cattle, and he, he let Agag live when God told him to go and kill up everything over there. But he didn't do it. Samuel had to do it. But anyway, He said, "Then said Saul to his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor."
Now, wait a minute. Now, if God ain't answering you, why would you try to go and get an answer from somebody else? If God ain't answering you, you're in trouble. He knew that it was unlawful for him to be seeking after a witch, and even she's gonna let him know. But anyway, look, verse 8. "And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall show thee." Whoa. So, you see what what a Saul is saying? He said, "Divine unto me by this familiar spirit, and bring up to me whom I shall name unto thee." That's why it's familiar, because he know who he's asking for.
Look at this. He said, "And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?" So, even this witch, she understood, like, "Wait a minute. What are you doing? You know Saul, uh, ordered for the wizards and the witches to be put out of the land." He said, "Just what which said, you, you about to cause me to die." But see, she didn't realize she was talking to Saul, because Saul had disguised himself as somebody else. So, look, this lady, even knew she was supposed to die. He said, "And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing." Then said the woman, "Whom shall I bring up unto thee?" And he said, "Bring me up Samuel." See, he's familiar with Samuel. He know who Samuel is. That's why it's called a familiar spirit.
So, a lot of times, when people be getting those, uh, palm readings and asking for their ancestors to come up, they asking for somebody that's familiar to them, somebody that they know that passed away already. It ain't supposed to be doing this, people. You're in violation with the Lord if you're doing that. Somebody gotta warn you. But anyway, verse 12. "And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake unto Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? For thou art Saul." So, when she saw what she perceived to be Samuel, which was really an evil spirit or one of Satan's ministers pretending like he's Samuel, that's what she saw. And we even gonna read, let's see. He said, "And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth." Now, these gods are angels. She saw angels or evil spirits or spirits ascending out of the earth. And let's see what happened. "And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel."
And he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. Now, do you see this? Pay attention to what he said. "And Saul perceived." How many times can you perceive something and it could be wrong? One's perception can always be off on something. A perception is the same as looking at it from somebody else's angle, or, you know, you looking at, uh, things one way, and it's really this way. So, what he perceived to be Saul is really not Saul, because remember, we just read the scriptures where it said, "The dead know not anything," and Samuel was dead at this time. So, a familiar spirit is imitating himself like he is Samuel.
So, He said, "And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?" So, he, now this spirit is even toying with him. He, he even like, landed on thick, making it seem like it's really him. He said, "Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?" The spirit was playing with Saul. And Saul answered, "I am so distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do." Now, you know this man gotta reprobate mind. His mind is gone. He here talking to an evil spirit, and he know that Samuel is dead, and he's saying that what he's thinking or perceiving that he's talking to Samuel. This man, his mind is gone.
Anyway, He said, 16. He said, "Then says Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the Lord is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?" So, the spirit is even toying with them even furthermore. Relax me. If the Lord ain't giving you an answer, how you think I'm gonna give you one? Oh, no. Look at what he said. "And the Lord hath done unto him, as he spake by me: for the Lord hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David; because thou obeyedst not the voice of the Lord, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day." He said, "Look, even this evil spirit knows why Saul is in a state of condition, why that he's in, because he didn't hearken to God." His first mistake was not waiting for, uh, Samuel to get there to make the sacrifice over in, uh, First Samuel 13. Uh, and then he made the sacrifice himself. And then his second mistake was him not killing Agag, the king of Amalek, and he took all of the best of the spoil of the goods that they were supposed to slay utterly. He kept them alive. You can go back and read that on your own. But anyway, it said, "Moreover the Lord will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me." The Lord also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines. So, Saul heard that, and he was shook. He said, "Man, you, man, this evil spirit told Saul that he was about to die, him and his sons." And that's exactly what happened when you go back and read First Samuel 30.
But anyway, let's go over here and let's start wrapping this up. Let's go with Isaiah 47. Let's go and look at Isaiah 47, because God got a special place in hell for these people who deal with astrology and, uh, tarot card readings, wizards, and witches, and all of this. Let's see what He said over here. Let's go over here to, uh, Isaiah 47, and let's pick it up in verse one, and then we're gonna skip down to verse eight, because this is who the Lord is talking to. He's talking to, uh, Nebuchadnezzar's people, what a daughter called ends, but He's also talking to anybody that exercises in this type of behavior. So, this message was written to Babylon, or, uh, Nebuchadnezzar and his people, but it's also written to anybody that's gonna be following after these ways that they had done, these, uh, uh, contacting astrologers and magicians and all that. Man, these people are gonna pay for that, according to what thus said the Lord.
So, look at what He said. He said, "Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate." God said He's gonna knock these people out of their place. He's gonna humble them. You're gonna, you ain't gonna sit on no throne, you're gonna sit on the ground. He's gonna humble them.
Let's see what happened. Verse 8. He said, "Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures that dwellest carelessly, talking about Babylon, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me." Oh, you, you think you at the top? You, you, you boasting yourself, then, huh? Can't nobody do nothing to you, huh? You think you can't be touched? God's saying otherwise. He said, "I shall not sit as a widow: neither shall I know the loss of children: but these two things shall come to thee in one moment in one day, the loss of children and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments." He said, "God said I'm gonna bring these people down because they was using sorceries and enchantments, magicians, and the astrology. Y'all following after this? God said I'm gonna deal with you for that." Okay.
What else He said? He said, "For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said no man seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee." They got devilish wisdom and knowledge. He said, "And thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me." Look at what God said was gonna come upon them. He said, "Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off." He said, "Man, you don't know where this trouble gonna come from, and it's trouble that do come upon you, you ain't gonna be able to escape it." Ain't no escaping this.
Let's see what else He said. He said, "And desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know." God gonna do something to these people. Look at what He said. "Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee." Well, what the Lord letting us know gonna come upon them? "Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them: they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm it, nor fire to sit before it."
So, this ain't even no regular fire. He said, "People are gonna taste the lake of fire." This is where it ain't gonna go. He said, "This ain't no fire that you can warm yourself at." Like Peter was warming himself while he was in a judgment hall waiting to see what was going to happen with Jesus. He warmed himself at the fire. Well, God is saying that it's like a fire, ain't no fire that you can warm yourself with. This fire destroys spiritual beings, which that fire was created for Satan and his angels. So, that's some fire that's super hot, and it destroys. You don't want to end up in this place.
So, if anybody is dealing with wizards and tarot card readings, psychic readings, all this kind of stuff, hey, if you're listening to this video, you've been warned. Let's go and look at this one last place. Let's go to Galatians 5. We're gonna finish seeing how the Lord feels about this, because it's written all throughout the Bible. We shouldn't deal with that kind of stuff.
So, let's go over here, Galatians 5. Let's just start at verse, let's read verse 19 down to 21. It said, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, witchcraft is part of the works of the flesh. Yep. Hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." So, if you dealing with witches and wizards and warlocks, man, God said you ain't gonna inherit the kingdom of God.
So, one last thing, let's go over here, Exodus 22, and this is gonna be it. We're gonna let it rest right after this. Exodus 22, and let's read verse 18. Exodus 22. Let's take a look at verse 18. Let's see what this says. Watch this. God, God means what He say. So, look, Exodus 22 and 18. "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." They were serious about this.
So, with that being said, people, we want to seek God. We don't want to be dealing with no tarot cards, no whizzes, no witches. Leave them people alone. Come from up out of there. As a man of God and a woman of God, we need to be warning each other about this stuff that's gonna happen, because we don't want to see nobody perish. All right, people. Enjoy the rest of your day.
