Does it seem like your opponent's waiting on the next shot after they hit? Patterns is the reason for this. We're going to break down the four patterns that I like to use in my game and how you can start implementing it in your game so you can anticipate that next ball better and be on top of your game. These are the four patterns to get you thinking like a pro and things that I use in my game. The first one, we're going to break a down a dinking pattern. Second one, a speed up pattern. Third, a serving pattern. And then fourth, a returning pattern.

The three things that I'm looking for in this scenario are once his shoulders turn, I'm looking to slide over because he's going to be out of position and now I can attack. Second thing I'm looking to do is lean in on this kitchen line. So my nose are over my toes. So I'm looking to be aggressive on this next ball. Third thing is my chest isn't collapsing. A lot of times on this shot, I see people chest goes down when they're looking to attack this next ball. And when your chest goes down, the ball typically follows the momentum of your chest. If it doesn't work on the first one and you don't feel comfortable attacking, keep staying in that pattern, looking to lean in and eventually you will get that one you can attack. Never feel like you need to force it.

We're going to get into the second pattern here, which is a speed up crossbody and then following that ball to hit the putaway volley. This pattern is really all about following the momentum of that ball. The ball naturally wants to continue going in the same direction that you hit it. So, when we speed up this backhand cross body to him, we'll get the ball on this side of us and we can anticipate that ahead of time.

This pattern is a serve plus one pattern. We are going to hit a wide serve here and look to attack that next ball in the open court. Especially when our opponents are unwinding the stack, we're going to be able to really punish them and look to be aggressive on this third ball when we hit a big serve. So see there once we pull him wide on the serve. See that returns a little short. We're really moving forward attacking that open court and looking to put away that next ball. Bounce it. Nice. You're good. Perfect.

This next pattern is called the return and pinch. We've talked about this a lot. That means it's really important, so you guys better lock in here and pay attention. This is an easy one. So, my partner, who's the returner, is going to return this down the line. I'm going to slide middle and look to take this next ball. It alleviates my partner from having to hit the fourth ball while they're moving in and gives me the opportunity to hit it at a higher point on the ball's arc and maybe put this shot away.

Now that we've gone over the patterns, we're going to see how these actually play out in points. Let's get into it. you. >> Thank you. You me. me. You

We've seen these four patterns in practice and in application now. So you can take these and start putting them into direct play so you can go in with a game plan when you're in that one match that really counts and you got all that pressure riding on it. Let's see it. Drop in the comments if you've used this in a rec match or if you have any questions or other thoughts on this video. Thanks Tuy Nation for tuning in to this video.
