Yo, what's up? We are going to do another side-by-side comparison. This time between the Porsche Macan 4 and Audi Q6 Ron. Both of these—they are the 800vt architecture. Same platform, 100 kWh battery. But then that's pretty much where it ends, because here we have fun-to-drive design, right? But not so much space. Here we have more space, but maybe a bit boring. And then when it comes to price, this Porsche cost 1.1 million nook. With all the equipment here, it's actually not that much. Here in the Q6, it cost 950K only. So a lot less, but you actually get more equipment and more space. So does it mean that the Q6 is a better buy? Well, that's what we're going to find out today. So let's start with the frunk.

And if you're wondering where we are today, well, this is outside the Mle Mobility Group. They are the importer of Volkswagen, Audi, Skorda, and well, Volkswagen—uh Volkswagen vans pretty much. So, yeah. Uh, it is Easterish now, right, for many people. That's why this place is somewhat uh clear. Oh, Kra. Oh, yeah. I forgot they also have Kra. Yeah, it's somewhat clear over here. Huh? Kupra Thomas press car and then also over here, for you guys who are wondering, this is Skoda Elro, what I think, but okay, anyway, we are not here for those cars; we're here for these two beasts, so um let me see which do we start—let's start with the Porsche. And here you can open the front by double-clicking on that button there, and you see that the Audi key fob is not that nice—you pay more for the Porsche, you get a better key fob. But we're not going to use the key fob. That's too boring. You can swipe here without touching the hood. You can swipe here. Voila. Nice. So, here we have a relatively okay-size frunk. Uh, clean design. Rubber gasket there. And then here, easy access for the washer fluid in the Audi. Can you do this also? You know, the A6 S6 had that feature, but here, nope. You have to do the old-fashioned get in here, double tap. What? What is that? Deep. Oh, it claims the keys. And you also need to—you need to lift this by yourself. You see? Okay. And then, okay, the front here is what? Hm. Seems to be quite similar size as the Porsche. Uh, same location here kind of, but yeah, also a clean design. Rubber gasket here. They are pretty much neck and neck. I see that the nose on the Porsche is a bit lower compared to the Q6. So, it fits maybe a taller person, and then you have to open this for the thing. But the size here seems quite similar as the Porsche's. Okay, so there we have a draw. But the Porsche's solution is better. So there Porsche wins.

Okay, this becomes a bit subjective. But uh the back end here of the Porsche versus the back end of the Audi. Um, this is much prettier. You want to have a nice back. You want to open that trunk. Yes. You want to whoop that trunk open. There's supposed to be a kick sensor here somewhere. But you know, finding the kick sensor in a car. Oh, it's like finding the G-spot in a woman, but I found it. So, here we have—well, actually okay-size trunk, but it's not that big compared to the um Audi. But you can—Well, this is the strange thing. You can open this lid, but then you cannot move it or anything. It stays there. And then there's a—the B subwoofer here. And here we can fold the seats. We can raise and lower the suspension here. Ooh, great. We have the unhank coupling there. It just comes out like this. Yeah. Like you know, for most cars, it's not fully automated. Have a little basket here for some cargo. Strap on here. Sturdy hooks for securing cargo on all four corners. And we have 230-volt AC, but it's only 150 watt. There's no vehicle to load anything like that. Uh, same here. Uh, so seems to be okay. Here we have a pan. So yeah, maybe not the best space—with the Audi, it should also have a kick sensor, right? Is it the same place here? No. Don't—don't vog put it on the same place. No. Okay. Well, so there you go. Minus for the Audi. No kick sensor. You get—you get what you pay for. But here, wow, it seems more spacious. And then the lid here. H. Well, uh, it can also not be removed unfortunately, but it seems to have more space overall. You also have folding on the seat. There we have a 12-volt outlet there. Didn't we have it in the Porsche? Oh, we have it here. I missed it. It's there. It seems to be the same part. You see there versus where was it? Yeah. Okay. Anyway, same hooks for securing cargo. And then seems to be—well, there's no strap here, but there's a strap on this side. And then, yeah, everything looks quite the same here. Also, almost the same button. You see? And we can also raise and lower the suspension there. And we have this. And I don't know why it's beeping. I think it's beeping because we—the car is on. Yeah. Sorry for the beeping, but here you actually have space for some cables. Huh. Not too bad. The only problem I see putting the cable here is that when you're on a trip and you have plenty of cargo here and you need the cable, suddenly you have to dig it out.

By the way, uh, some of the Mle guys, they came over and like, oh yeah, have you seen the new Q4 Ron? Okay, we're going to check it out. There is a new feature now, manual preheating. So, let's check it out. So if we—I come over here. So let me see when we fire it on. Okay. Continue. Oh, it's still the Audi. Oh, this is different because the Q4 has the old Audi system, but the Q6 has the more modern curved screen and curve. And the OS there is totally different than here. This looks like a fat drum. But okay, where's the feature? Uh, cosplay. Um, okay. Car and charging and then um max max. Oh. Oh. Oh. So they—they changed this. You see that now it says that uh you can charge at 18 kW and then you can take 34 kilow—kind of higher. Wow. And then if you do this, it will preheat. Okay. It was just maybe not so intuitive that the max button means preheating. But Huh. Can we get maximum maximum effect? Yeah, but—but can we also get this in other cars? Can the classic uh fat eat get this or no? No. Okay. Well, it's only a Q4. All right. But that's a nice feature. Okay. But maybe back to the other cars then.

And now let's measure the trunk. We're going to do an actual side-by-side here. 97 cm. Wow. 87 cm. Wow. A lot better. Width here. 105 cm; width here 105 cm; height here 78 cm; 69 cm—what the heck—okay, well, this might not be fair—okay, let's skip it because I'm not sure what—which level I've put on those two—but the trunk in the Q6 is a lot bigger than the Audi—the the Porsche. So here the Audi wins. And as usual, I brought the car seat here—this is Cybex uh uh sirona T, in case you're wondering how big it is and so on. But um today, because it's Easter week, then uh um kindergarten is closed. So Isabelle needs to come with me. She now has the midday sleep. Let me check how long she's supposed to sleep. She's slept for a little bit over half an hour now, I think roughly. So she still wants a bit more sleep. But I'll try to do the measurement and the review around her somewhere.

So, the back seat of the Porsche. Well, how do I measure the width? Kind of roughly like this, right? Uh, around 130 cm. What about the height here? Oh, it seems to be pretty good. Ooh, I like it. Let me see. Well, 33 cm. That is approved. Anything lower than that would be uncomfortable. In the Audi, we have a seat width of around 138 cm. Sounds like a lot more than the Porsche. Not sure if I measured it correctly with this belt there in the Porsche, but okay, whatever. Oh, almost feel like I have better leg height in the Porsche. Let's measure it. No, it's still okay. It's actually 36 cm. It's better here. Okay. And then here in the Porsche, we have this uh pocket there. You can put the feet under the front seat. We have—Okay. Oh. Oh. Uh-huh. Great. Some Hback adjustments here. Manual adjustment. A little shaft there. But it's not able to fit my brand new modern Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. It's too small. Where are the USBs? Okay. USB ports are down there. Two USBC. Great. And then any air vents here? No. Uh, we have handles there. But look here. You can do this. We go forward here. Okay. And then you can open up the panorama roof. But you can also open it completely up. Wait. No. I want—I want more light. So you can press this button here and you open up the cover. But this bit becomes a bit dark because the glass actually goes over the other glass and it's tinted. But you can have this openness here. Isabelle loves it. Isabelle, but usually she likes it just okay. Anyway, yeah. Right here. BS sound system. Um, this becomes a red light when you open it uh to warn uh yeah that the—the door is open. Door closing sound—what really—okay, anyway, headroom is—oh, not that great, you know—maybe it's more fair to compare it against the Q6 coupe or whatever it's called—Sportback. Yeah, that's the—the fat Q6 over there. So, because a Sportback, I remember was also tight in the back here. But here, you don't have a fist. You have two fingers of clearance. In the middle here, you can take down this thing. Oh, but a watch your snack becomes a table. And then ski opening. Oh, you open the whole thing here. Oh. Oh. Oh, sorry. It's a big ski opening. Germans, they like it big. They have big skis and they cannot lie. But I should also test the middle seat. Oh. Oh, the middle. Oh—Oh—First of all, my legs cannot go here, right? It's tight. Okay. And then I have the bag there. Okay. Toss it with the bag here with the diapers and all that. You see if I sit right in the middle hump here. Oh, that is tight. Here also uh I rub on the headliner there. Whatever. Let me check something here. In the Porsche, can you take the seat more upright? Oh, you can. You can go like this. Just—I think that's a vog part. Oh. Oh, and then it becomes quite upright. And that, in combination that the seat is already going kind of up like this and you sit crammed in here. So, I probably don't want to use this position too often.

And then the Audi. Well, it looks like they have the exact same part here. So, you basically buy a Porsche, but you get Audi parts or Volkswagen parts. Um, well, here it looks a bit boring, not so nice. Interior in the Porsche is better. There's just lots of plastic. Fantastic. But we have Bulos, not BS at least. And wait, can we—can we lower this? Do we have acoustic glass here? Nine. Okay. But I can barely fit my feet under the front seat here. And then we have the manual adjustment here. But it doesn't look as nice as the Porsche. Where's the USB? USB is down there. I can see it. Two USBC there. And here we can adjust the temperature in the back. And also put on seat heater. Door closing sound. Wait, it wasn't properly shut there. Hey, why is it—Okay. But here, no panorama roof. Center console goes like this. Seems to be almost the same. Yeah. Okay. This turns out to be quite a boring review because almost everything is the same. Wait, what about headroom? Oh, a lot better. Almost a fist of headroom here. And then in the middle. Okay. Still kind of tight in the middle, but okay. Then we have around three fingers. Okay. In the Porsche, we have Isafix in the back. Nice lids. They stay there when the—when—when the hooks are in use, but there's no Isoix in the front. In the Audi, we have this solution. H. I like the Porsche solution better because this is a bit clumsy to pull back—or maybe just getting used to. Yeah, sorry for the beeping. I had the car on, but the Audi has Isofix also in the front, and then uh there is no switch here for switching on and off the uh the airbag. It's done automatically, and you will see it here if it's on or off.

And now we folded the seats. The seats fall almost flat. But here behind myself, I have only 170 cm. And then here on this side where I folded—I push the seat all the way forward, and I have 195 centimeters. H. We're in the sun now. So this is why I don't want to shoot in the sun. I want to shoot in the shade, but okay, whatever. So when I fold the seats here in the Audi, it has the same slope—almost as flat as the other—as a Porsche. Here behind myself, I have a length of uh—well, it's not—it's not there. Wow. We're really 182 cm. Holy macaroni. And then here behind the passenger 205 cm. Audi wins.

And now we have the Cybex uh Sona T behind us here in the Porsche. And I want to see how much space do we have in the front. Let me adjust all the way back. Wait, are we rubbing into the car seat yet? There. Wow, plenty of space. To my big surprise, I thought it would be cramped. So, it means if I go slightly more forward, so I still have okay legroom. Then I can recline, but how much? Oh, wait. That's—that's it. Roughly there. I mean, it's okay. What about in the Audi? Okay, so here we have—well, quite similar space as the Porsche—to my big surprise. Seems like the—the—the space you get here is in the trunk. So if I now go more forward—slightly bent knees—and then recline uh there. Uhoh, there's the same. Yeah, I feel like this is the same as the Porsche.

And now let's do a consumption test between these two cars. We start with a Porsche. So here in the intimate cluster, you see battery percentage here. That's great. 17° C in the battery. And also this bracket shows the optimal temperature. Usually between around 25 and 35°C for the maximum charging speed. So it's coldish. You have 11° C outside. Uh, this eats up a little bit too much space for my taste. I wish it was smaller, but okay, whatever. We have a trip meter here. And we are over here right now, and I'm going to drive down to the ring road and just do a little loop. Uh, not crazy high speeds over here unfortunately. And in the Porsche we have this great uh driving feel. The steering is super sharp. If you just turn the wheel, it just goes the direction you want immediately. Over the speed bumps also quite comfortable, despite that we have 22-inch wheels. They are 35 and 45 profile tires. Wide also—two uh 295 width in the rear. But despite fat grippy wheels, tires, we still have okay comfort here, and it just rides like it is an SUV crossover, but it doesn't feel like one. It is so nimble. I love it. We're just doing the consumption test here on the ring road. It's a 60 km/h limit. I'm cruising at CC3 on the speed though. Uh, not sure if I can get a consistent run or not, but it—it will be just in a—you know—in the ballpark. Get an impression of what we expect here. Yeah. The—the thing is that I don't want to be slowed down. As long as I can cruise at 60 constantly, then we are good, right? One thing that I notice is that um the regen is quite weak. Uh, if you push the brake pedal, you get more regen—it's blending brake. But still, by default, it's quite weak. And it's also hard to find—not where the heck the regen setting is. It's just a—a symbol with a battery around it or whatever. So, yeah, it's like Porsche doesn't want you to use regen. Okay. So, we just turn around here and then head back. All right. The consumption was 157 Wh per kilometer, and then reported distance 16.9. Wow, I didn't know that the Porsche could be that efficient. This would probably be the Sunder drive uh consumption, right? But we had Hback on.

And in the Audi, I can put Isabelle in the front. So, this is better because I have better contact with her here. Okay. And then here we have a relatively big screen and also a big instrument cluster. So, I need to reset this. But, um, I show that uh here if you go to car. Oh, no. You can—you can swipe. I forgot. I can swipe—where are the car settings. Let me see—there—there. So, sorry for the sun here, but uh I will use efficiency mode since we have it here. In the Porsche, there was no efficiency, no range mode, just normal mode and the sport modes. As the Audi is still equipped with winter tires. We have Continental Viking Contact 7 285/40/21 in the rear. I'm not sure about the front if it's a staggered or not. uh 255/45/21. But then the Porsche is already on summer tires. You have Goodyear—um, what's it called again?—Eagle F1 Super Sport, and the front is uh—let me see—where is it—there. 255/40/22 in the front, but the rear is freaking fat. We have 295/35/22. So, of course, these stickier tires should be less efficient than the Audi, but the Audi feels more boaty. Still comfortable over the speed bumps because it's a German car. Wait. Okay. I feel like it's more sluggish when I turn the wheel. It just—Oh, you want to turn that way? Okay. You know, it's not as sharp as the Porsche, but it seems like it's been tuned more uh more towards comfort. But I mean, we are in the efficiency mode. Now we are doing the consumption test. But uh overall, it doesn't feel as nice and tight as the Porsche. It's just like a typical SUV. Right. And here we actually have a head-up display with AR. It's quite big. Uh, the Porsche doesn't have it unless you pay extra. And then also we have auto steer. Porsche doesn't have it unless you pay extra for the inner drive, which that car doesn't have even though it's more expensive. And then I feel like the interior here, the space is just bigger, not so tight as in the Porsche, and in the Audi. The battery temperature is not visible here until unless you go into sport mode. But you can see the battery temperature here—16° C. The regen here is a lot stronger, and you can change the regen with the flappy pedals here, which you don't have in the Porsche. Well, at least—okay, here there is no um mo drive mode selector here. The Porsche has it on the steering wheel. On this screen, you can also see the visualization of what's going on. Uh, power goes to the wheels or it regens or regions on both wheels. And if it was cold and we use B mode, uh a battery is cold, then we also see if the friction—friction brakes kick in—right now, even full regen doesn't kick in. Oh, interesting. We actually consume more than the Porsche, huh? How is that possible? Well, uh some say that maybe the winter tires are less efficient, but uh we had some up and downhill, and then the Q6 is heavier—the Porsche—around 80 kg heavier. Maybe that's why. But the distance reported is exactly the same because this is German precision.

There you guys have it. Two great cars. But which one is the best? Well, the Porsche offers nice handling, fun-to-drive, driving dynamics. And then here in the Audi, you get more space, more equipment, more car for the money. Only 950k nook versus 1.1 million nook. But then which car would I go for? Um, okay. If money was not the problem—actually, we have to consider money also—the price—I would go for the Audi. Okay. It's a bit boring. But if you buy something like this, you kind of given up already. You need a family car. You need lots of space, and you get lots of equipment for the money. So, then Audi wins, at least for me. But then, what about you? Would you get the Porsche or the Audi? That's going to be it for now. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. As always, thank you for watching, and talk to you later.
