The boy was sitting in the car playing when a homeless boy tapped gently on the window. Surprised, he looked up and saw the boy holding their car key. His mother must have dropped it without noticing when she stepped out.
The homeless boy gave a small smile and passed the key through the window. Without saying a word, he began to walk away. The boy turned to the bag beside him, grabbed his leftover rice, coughed into it, and even spat. He wrapped it back up and tossed it out of the window. The homeless boy, still smiling, picked it up and left. The boy giggled to himself, amused by what he thought was the beggar's foolishness.
Just then, his mother returned, looking worried. "I can't find my car keys," she said anxiously. He quickly handed them to her and began to laugh, eager to tell her what he had done. "What did you just say?" she asked, her tone suddenly sharp. "The beggar boy," he said with a smirk. "He's so stupid. He doesn't even know I threw up in the rice. He's probably eating it right now."
Her expression changed instantly. Without a word, she grabbed his arm, pulled him out of the car, and handed him a lunchbox. Inside was his favorite meal. "Find that boy," she said firmly. "And give this to him, or you're walking home alone." Seeing the seriousness in her eyes, he ran off to search.
Moments later, he spotted the homeless boy sitting under a tree, unwrapping the food he had tossed earlier. "Oh, no, don't eat that," he shouted, rushing forward and handing him the lunchbox. When he returned, his mother looked him in the eye. "John, people like him are human, just like us. Never treat them badly. God is watching every single thing we do."
