What is up everybody? Today we have the Star-Lord guide. Man, I'm so hyped to put this out. Um, I'm currently a top 50 Starlord with around uh 65 win percentage. So, this will be my Star-Lord guide and I'll be sharing what I think about the hero and what has helped me get to where I am today.

With that being said, this guide can really, I think, help a lot of you guys, whether you're just now getting into the hero or you've been playing him for a while now. So, hope you guys enjoy the video and let's get right into it.

With the first part of the guide, we will be talking about abilities. And I think it's very important if you've never even if you've been playing server for a very long time. If you've never read his full abilities, I would definitely recommend saying and listening because they do teach you some things like I thought I had never read them and I thought I had known everything and I definitely did not. So, let's get right into it.

Um, first we have his main weapons and those are his dual element guns. These guns are rapid fire shot rounds that do have spread the further you go from your target. These guns do 6.5 damage per shot, and he has 40 bullets in this clip. The damage falloff for Star-Lord begins at 10 meters, decreasing to 65% at 25 m. The crosshair spread radius at 10 m increases to 0.15 after two consecutive shots and 0.24 after five consecutive shots. And like I said, I do think it's worth listening because I never even knew that the crosshair spread had a radius. And um so that's like some definitely very good to know.

So, um yeah, moving on, we have what everybody loves, Star-Lord's ultimate ability or his aimbot alt. Um Starlord's ultimate ability still does 6.5 damage per round and damage fall-off begins at 25 m, decreasing to a massive 75% fall-off at 40 m. The ultimate ability lasts 8 seconds. Also, the ultimate gives you a 20% movement boost and a 70% reload reduction time. The maximum locking distance for his ultimate is 40 m. So, I definitely say let's uh try and try and keep it within 40 m and probably way less than 40 m honestly because a 75% damage fall off is not what you want to achieve with his alt.

Next, we have rocket propulsion or his jetpack. This gives Starlord a 100% movement boost, making him a great movement hero. his maximum energy or the meter you see next to him like while you're flying is 1,800 and it costs 300 per second. So with the full meter, you'll be able to fly for six seconds constantly. This the energy recovery speed for rocket propulsion is 100 a second. So if you have none or you burn all of it, it would take 18 seconds to get it all back.

All right, guys. Next up for abilities, we have blaster barrage. And this is a crucial ability for Star-Lord as of like finishing off final kills or final hits and farming faster, which we'll get into later in the video. But blaster barrage is defined as a fire or frenzy shots causing damage to enemies within its range. So, it's AoE. Um, the time duration for blaster barrage is 3 seconds and hits all enemies within 8 m. The blaster barrage does 7.5 damage per hit. However, blaster barrage does have damage fall off beginning at 4 m, decreasing 80% at 8 m. And blaster barrage has a cool down of 8 seconds. So definitely when you're using this ability, you want to keep your target at a closer range because of that damage fall off.

With the last of his basic kit, we have stellar shift. Stellar shift, you can dodge in the direction of movement and swiftly reload. Solar Shift will instantly reload your guns and also grant invincibility for 0.37 seconds. This is huge for like 1v one fights and everything because if you use it at the right time, then you know you would um you'd be doing you'd be giving yourself a huge advantage in a fight. Remember, you should also h save both of your rolls for when you get ult as well because you can use them then too. Also, every time you do roll, you get 25 bonus shield added to your health, but unfortunately, you are not able to stack those two and make it 50. Also, the bonus health when you do roll does have a like a fall-off starting at 3 seconds. So, it is very important like when you decide to use your rolls, um, just do it at a good time to where like you're actively in a fight and you need to use that reload, you need to get that shield, you know, and you get two rolls in your kit and it takes 5 seconds to get one roll back.

The last thing we'll be talking about with the abilities is Star-Lord's team up ability with Rocket. He gets a teleportation device that he can use anywhere on the map. There is no like distance barrier or anything. And the teleport cooldown after usage is 30 seconds. And if you are just now placing the teleporter, you have to wait 5 seconds before you can use it. However, be careful with the teleporter because it does have a delay of 1 second. Um, I've gotten killed a lot by this and, you know, gradually learning with it. I understand now that I can't hit the teleport button when I'm 30 health. I need to do it like when I'm 100 health. Um, the teleporter also summons you 100 health. And I feel like this teleporter is a huge thing for Star-Lord and just getting I don't know, just being able to engage and being able to get out for free so you're not feeding. Um, just make sure you use it wisely.

Okay, moving on. We are going to be talking about aiming and sensitivity and I will be showing you guys my settings. So, this is crucial for Star-Lord. I mean, it's his aim. Star-Lord is, you know, a hit scan. He has dual blasters that shoot incredibly fast at a lower damage rate. So, you're going to be able to need to aim well to compete with these higher damage dealing DPS. Um, like other hit scans. So, Emmy is very important.

So, this was my first PC game. Um, and what I was doing at the start of the game was, in my opinion, a mistake that I'm sure a lot of other people do, and that is like looking at pro player sensitivities and using them. I feel like this is a problem because usually a pro player sense is very high um higher than like what we should be playing on because you got to think pro players man they play way more than us um on games like these like they're they're doing this every single day for five plus hours a day to keep up their skill levels when we can't. So, I recently a season about a season season and a half ago um changed lowered my sensitivity from what it was and it honestly I will say it has made me a lot better I feel like. Now, I'm not saying you have to go as low as I went cuz I did go pretty low but I don't know. I'm just saying give it a try. If you think you're struggling with aiming, try and lower it a little bit so where you can like you don't feel like you're everywhere all the time or you don't feel like you're missing easy shots. and I feel like it would um it would help out a little bit.

So, here are my settings. So, my settings are really only going to be relatable to PC players, but we're going to show I'm going to show you guys all of my settings, not just my aiming settings, because it is very important like the shaders and quality and stuff too can slightly affect like how fast you're seeing things and just like, you know, basic things that are make a small difference but end up being important in the end. So, I play on boardless window just because I like constantly flip because I stream. Um, super resolution mode. I play on quality. Super resolution and sharpening. I play on 80. Frame regeneration mode. You want to make sure you have this off. Um, low latency mode I have on Nvidia. Reflex low latency. Match FPS cap. That just varies depending on what monitor you have. Um, show FPS and network sets. I just like knowing if I'm lagging and stuff, so I constantly have that on. And it tells me in the top right, you want to have VSYNC off. Um, now here's the important thing. Shaders are pretty important. My global illumination I have set set to SSGI. My reflection quality space. Screen space reflections. Model detail low. Post-processing low. Shadow detail low. Texture details medium. Effect details low. And foliage foliage quality, however you pronounce that, low. Okay.

Um, let's get back into the keyboard. Actual sensitivity settings. I'm currently playing on 1.06 horizontal sensitivity and 1.0 vertical sensitivity. And I have all these off. Um, another important thing is crosshairs. Um, and I will put my crosshair in the description below. Um, I do think everybody should play with a crosshair. I do think I do suggest you turn on allied health bars. That's the last thing I'm going to talk about is um, allied health bars. It just gives you a sense of who's low on your team or who you might want to help out in certain situations. So, I would definitely recommend you turning that on. But yeah, that's it for my settings. Oh, last thing before I forget. I also play on 1200 DPI.

All right, guys. With that being said, um, no sensitivity is just going to automatically make you cracked at the game. The best way to get better with aiming is just by playing. That's just simply how it is. You just get better with time and experience. But with that being said, I do use things like Corvox for about 15 to 30 minutes before I hop on every time I play. Corvox is an aim trainer on Steam that costs like $10. And the reason I like it better than like aim trainers like Aim Labs is because it actually has like a setting that correlates with Marvel Rival sensitivity. And I last time I checked about this, and this has been a couple months ago, but last time I checked, Aim Labs did not have this. However, I do not think console players have access to Corvox. So, with that being said, if I were on console, I would probably just go to like the Marble Rivals practice range and run some simulations in the downstairs area. Um, I believe warming up for 15 to 30 minutes before you play will help your definitely help your game get better faster over time. And let's be real here, most of us, including myself, don't really want to warm up for 15 to 30 minutes. We just want to play. Um, but if you do enjoy it, if you go for longer, I still I I think the longer you go, the better you'll get over time because I mean, that's just straight aim practice, like you know. And I also think that like running those aim sensitivity, like running those aim trackers helped you get better at tracking, which we will go over later in the video.

Okay, this part is like what I just referred to. Um, tracking is what you really need to work on like in game. Um, tracking means which like means the ability to smoothly follow your target. And like I said, aim training like I just talked about really helps with tracking. Also, I don't know. I'm kind of weird, but like I like to imagine that I can predict which way is the most obvious way for my enemy to move, if that makes sense at all. So, I can like easy follow the movement. Like, if I know that they're going to be going back with their team or like moving right because they're already moving right, I'll just exemptly think they're shooting to the right, and I'll just keep trying to follow them to the right. I don't know, it's weird, but I like to imagine that I know where they're going to be, and that really helps me out a lot. Um, another important thing is to make sure you have a good crosshair. There are many crosshairs. You can literally just search up Marvel Rivals crosshairs online and it will show you a lot of them. Um, if you like mine, I'm going to put mine in the description below. But the last thing about aiming is where you should target your enemies in game. I like to try and aim for the chest of the opponent because you will get head shot naturally while doing this. And the chest is always almost always like a big solid spot to shoot at and you're not really going to like it's not like legs where it's constantly moving where you might miss or something like that. You know what I'm saying? It's big, one of the biggest targets on the enemy, and it's close enough to the head where you will get crits while shooting at it.

Okay, next we get into game sense and positioning. And when I say this, I really mean it. When you are playing Star-Lord, the main thing you want to be thinking about is how can I be as annoying as possible? Like, just think you want to be like a mosquito or something, you know? You just want to be like a gnat like in the summertime where it's like you're smacking that constantly. like your high mobility should be able to do that for you without dying most of the time. And the best ways to be annoying is constantly going on off angles, harassing supports, and taking one v one fights. Also, Starlord is great at clearing or cleaning up kills. And that's the beautiful thing in my opinion cuz like you can be everywhere at once. It feels like like okay, let's just think about a hypothetical situation. Like so if I'm on off angle and I turn their supports and make them patty cake with each other, which if you don't know what that means, that just means like turn and heal each other. This means my team is doing all that damage to the front line without getting healed or they're not getting healed. So, whenever they deal with like the pressure that I'm applying, I can quickly fly to the front line and help my team finish the other team off. A lot of the time on Star-Lord, like even if you aren't getting kills or like the most kills on your team, your team will still benefit hugely like just from you being so annoying. So, I'd say this with a passion. Like, it is truly important just to be like a little mosquito while you're playing Star-Lord.

Okay, next we're going to talk about off angles. In my opinion, this is the number one way to level yourself up as a DPS in general. If you're not doing this, um, you definitely should be and you need to incorporate it into your game. An off angle is when you leave the main or the team fight and start attacking the enemy from a different angle. Doing so effectively will apply more pressure and just really makes the enemy team have to focus on another thing like multiple things at once which will create more room for them to make mistakes for you and your team to capitalize off of. However, the important thing is to remember when you take an off angle you don't want to feed. Um, another good thing to know is where health packs are on every map so you can play off them instead of needing to go back to your backline constantly for um, heals for your supports.

Okay, the third thing we're going to talk about for game sense and positioning is target isolation. This one right here is pretty simple. It just means who you're going to mark or who you're going to go on and on like your off angles and try to kill. I usually start the games or like the fights out this way. I play with my team until I know who they have on their team. Um the reason I do this is in case they're running a heavy dive, I know who I'm going to march and I can peel for support and then so yeah, just like looking at their team is good. um just essentially knowing who their weakest link is and who you're going to go off like going on off angles and flanks. Doing that means that it will most likely come down to a 1v one if they're isolated from the team. Um so you just got to really be confident that you can win. If the whole enemy team is just playing in main, then just take off angles and just distract them and make one bait one out to come and chase you. Um focus supports, shoot at tanks, focus DPS. You got do these things in rotation to figure out the weakness of the team. That's what's beautiful about Starlord. You can do so much, but you don't want to definitely you just don't want to shoot at um tanks all game. That's just not the way to play Star-Lord. I don't care what anybody says. That's not what you should be doing. You will be getting so much more value by going on off angles. Now, if you if a tank's low and your team's calling them out, you can clean up the tanks, but you shouldn't be shooting at the tank all game. You should be going on off angles, flanks, distracting supports, looking for a DPS out of position, doing stuff like that. Looking for the target isolation point, and going on those off angles will definitely level up your game and take you to the next level.

Okay, so the next category we're going to be going over is ability usage, combos, and ulting. So, there are a couple combos with abilities that I use a lot of the time. And the first one is your main guns and blaster barrage combo. I use this one in a lot of like off angles or 1 v one fights when I get them low. But basically it is if you use your guns to get the enemy below half health and then you can just follow up by using their blaster barrage on them to finish up the kill. It's pretty simple but it works a lot of the time. So if you are new to Star-Lord, it is also very important to know that you can fly while using blaster barrage. Um flying while using blaster barrage makes it a lot harder for you to be hit and easier to follow them around. The one thing you have to be mindful for while doing this is running out of your boost or like your jetpack, which is like what you never want to do because if you get stuck in after using blast barrage with no movement left, you are most likely to die and feed. Um, so just make sure you're keeping an eye on that boost meter while you're doing this combo because it can kind of screw you over if you do it the wrong way.

Okay, so the next thing I'm going to talk about really isn't even a combo, but you definitely need to be adding it to your bag and doing this every single game. Um, and it's definitely just the best way to get alt fast. However, I will say without a mag bubble or a support alt, you have to be very careful when using this, but it is using the blaster blaster barrage ability in a larger of the enemy team or like the team fight. Um, I probably use this most like, you know, like my team, for example, my team has an invisol, they match it with their invisal, I can go in and hit all of their team with the blaster barrage and will live no matter what. Um, or you could tell your mag bubble me I'm about to go in real quick. But if you can do if you can do this right and live, you will boost your ult charge by 30 to 40%. In like a span of like five, six seconds. So, I definitely think it is a um it is crucial that you do this literally every game or the most that you can without feeding and dying.

All right, the last thing we're going to talk about on this section is Star-Lord's alts. Um, what you need to learn to do is how to ult track. Um, alt tracking is basically consistently keeping up with which alts the enemy team has or has not used and knowing what they have that they can use at the time that you're about to use your ult. Now, at first it will definitely be harder to know like what the enemy team has, but when you do it for a while, you'll kind of get used to it and it will be way easier. But this is so essential for Star-Lord, especially in higher ranked lobbies, because all it takes is one good support or Emma ult and you can go from killing four people and winning your team the fight to dying and feeding and then killing nothing. Um, another very important thing to do when you ult is to come like to your team, like tell your team when you're ulting. This helps a ton in multiple ways. one is it lets your supports know that they're about to heavily pocket you so you don't die because let's just face it when you solid the pretty much the whole enemy team is going to be looking at you and trying to kill you. So you need to be you need to get that pocket. And secondly, it lets your tanks and other DPS know that you are about to be applying intense pressure and if they apply pressure with you, y'all 100% team wipe. Another thing I would suggest when ulting is to make sure you have both of your rolls before you pop it. This helps a ton in because one it automatically like reloads your guns for you and two it like if you're getting heavily targeted which you will be you become immune for that short period of time which sometimes decides if you live or die if your supports can heal you in that time. Um, the last thing I suggest about ulting is to start from the sky and kind of like maybe I do this a lot, but you don't really have to, but like I usually start from their like, the backline or like an off angle, so they're not already looking at you when you all they have to turn and look at you, which kind of like makes the whole enemy team look up at you while you're in the sky. And it's like an automatic off angle and they're going to be dealing with heavy pressure from you and then your team will be free to walk on them.

All right, guys. The next thing we're going to talk about is movement with Star-Lord or like advanced movement tech is what I'll say. Um, there are two main things to discuss when we're looking at Star-Lord's movement. And the first is bunny hopping. Bunny hopping is a huge movement boost for Star-Lord and happens because he maintains momentum when hitting the ground after using his jetpack. Um, all you need to do is bunny hop is like consistently tap or tap your jetpack boost and then spamming your jump button right before you hit the ground. This will allow you to keep the momentum that you've built for about four jumps. And this allow just simply allows you to move around way faster without wasting a lot of your jetpack boost. And it's one of the advanced movement techs that makes Starlord so hard to hit and so hard to kill. And the second thing we'll be talking about um with movement or advanced movement is that if you actually tap your jetpack instead of holding it down, you actually go pretty far. Um and it just maintains your feel better. So, it's kind of like it's way better for fuel conservation. Um, a huge part of his kit is fuel conservation. So, you definitely don't want to be like wasting your boost the whole game cuz then I mean the longer you are without boost the the less effective you will be as Star-Lord.

Okay guys, the last thing we will go over is common mistakes to avoid while playing Star-Lord. A lot of this we talked about in the video, but we're just going to go over it again just so you can have a fresh mindset about it. Um, first of all, it's using his mobility to only engage and not saving enough to escape. This was going to lead to you feeding. If you can't get out, then you're kind of stuck in. And by that time, cuz when you apply pressure, they're going to they're going to send somebody after you to turn you. And that's how your team gets picks or that's how you get picks is they get distracted by doing multiple things at once, so they're not looking at you. So, you definitely want to make sure you have enough movement to escape when you go on off angles and stuff.

Next is being too predictable with what you're doing in the air with Star-Lord being such a high movement hero. You definitely never want to be predictable, bro. Like what I said, like when I said you want to be a mosquito, I meant it. Like, so like imagine like there's like nats on you, mosquitoes around you. You smack it, you know, and you don't kill it and it goes away for like two seconds. You're like, where did it go? It comes back 2 seconds later at a completely different spot. That's basically what you want to do, man. Um, whenever they focus you, you don't want to sit in the same spot all game. like they focus you, you move to a new angle, focus you again, move to new angle. Just constantly moving to new angles will help you out so much.

Next, taking the wrong fight or just like shooting at the tanksaw game. Like we just talked about, maybe you'll get a little bit of value and win some games by shooting at tanksaw game, but any like high elo, you know, you can't just shoot at tanksaw game on Star-Lord. You're not going to be getting the value that you're supposed to be getting, and you will harm yourself from ranking up if you just shoot at tanks all game.

Next, we have ulting, but not ult tracking. We pretty much went over this, but just remember to keep up with the alts because especially in higher ELO, if you don't ult track, your alts are going to get countered a ton.

Next is not going on enough off angles. Like I said earlier, you want to be going on off angles consistently all game and except for like when you're team cleaning up a team fight with your team, you definitely want to be constantly going on off angles and target priority and like um target isolation. I mean,

Next up we got chasing kills or getting baited into overcommitting, then you die. This happens a ton in lower ELO lobbies. Not as much as higher EL lobbies, but like you think you got somebody one shot, but they're right next to a healer and so you go in cuz you think you can kill them. But supports overpowered as in this game, bro. Like if that support sees the one shot person, they're standing right next to him, you're most likely not getting the kill. Um, so don't like overcommit and feed because that does a lot of harm to your team if you feed. mean you make it a 5v6 so you're probably going to lose a team fight.

And lastly, not playing with your team well enough. So like let's just create a few hypotheticals. Okay? And what I mean by this is like if your team has a um a venom on it and you're on Starlord and you're on off angle and you see Venom is about to dive, wait to go in with that venom. You have a Black Panther, wait until you see your Black Panther jump down and harass their supports and then go on the supports with the Black Panther. You don't want to target two separate people like Bip Panthers targeting their supports and you're shooting at their DPS. No, play with your team, bro. This will help you so much. This will get you to the next level like instantly. Like if you see you have dive on your team, dive with them. If you see if you see you have a Namora peeling a Spider-Man on your team, peel with them. You get that kill and then you're up one person, then you can advance and play a little bit more aggressive with your team. Another thing is like using comms. I know a lot of people in this game hate calming. I don't know why because it's so essential, but using comms to do things like target pryo, like even if your team's not um common, you should still be commenting and like target priority with your team. And target priority means like all of you guys call out on who you're shooting. So, you're all shooting at the same person. So, you create so much pressure that their supports cannot heal them in time. Things like that make truly uh out like huge huge huge huge difference in the game. So, you definitely want to be sure to do that.

With that being said, this does complete the Star-Lord guide. Um, if you have any questions, be please be sure to let me know in the comments. I do not mind answering them at all. Um, if this I really hope this guide can help some of you guys and take you guys to the next level. And I hope you guys learned some things about how to play Star-Lord a little bit more efficiently in this video. Um, if you guys did like this video, please like and subscribe. And I will see you guys next time. Peace.
