95% of People Are Still Using AI Wrong in Business

If there's one video worth watching today, it's this one. Because if your relationship with AI is still ask ChatGPT a question and wait for an answer, then you are already behind.

I've done over $250 million in sales in my business. I have tested hundreds of AI tools and I can tell you that the majority of business owners have no clue what is actually happening. So, if most of your job is done at a computer, stop everything that you're doing right now and listen. There are five AI workflows that will separate the businesses that absolutely crush it this year from everybody else.

Which brings us to shift number one. This is how most people use AI. They open up ChatGPT or Claude. And they simply ask it some questions. They'll be like, "Write this email for me. Here is a piece of data. Please analyze this. Write this ad for me." It's all very generic wishwash. And it's because their app knows nothing about them.

Instead, what you want to do is to train whatever AI that you use just the way that you would do an employee. You want to have onboarding documents that you give it. You want to give it as much context as humanly possible. So, every single time that you open it up, it has all of this data that it draws from. And it's not tapping into just the normie hive mind of all these people that are using it in the wrong way. Cuz when you do that, it knows nothing about your offer. knows nothing about your business, your pricing, your market, or any of this stuff.

Instead, this is how we're going to treat it. We are going to treat it as a highly paid McKinsey or Bane consultant. And the way that we do that is you want to take your offer, right? You'll have an offer doc of what it is that you sell, who it is that you sell to, and what are the price points. You want to load all of that up. You want to give it all of your P&L statements and it will show you exactly what are the niches in your market that make the most money for your business. You want to take sales call transcripts. If you're making sales calls on Zoom or whatever the VoIP application is, they all have the ability to record phone calls. You need to make sure that that feature is on. Then what you want to do is you want to take all the sales calls from your highest performing reps and also upload it to ChatGPT. Then you want to have your ICP, your ideal customer profile document. Then you want to take that and you also want to upload that into either Claude or ChatGPT. Then you want to tell it who your five closest competitors are. You want to paste in links to their website as well and allow it to read that along with your website.

If we just stop here, we are already going to be ahead of 95% of business owners that are using AI. But we aren't going to stop just here. So, after we've done that big brain dump and we've given it everything, then we're going to hit it with this prompt. "You are a senior growth strategist and you have been embedded into [insert your company name]. You have a deep knowledge of our offer, our customer, our market. Never give generic advice. Every recommendation must reference our specific data, customers, and competitive landscape. When I ask you a question, think like a CMO or a McKinsey consultant who's studied our business for 6 months."

Now, after you've given it this prompt, now you want to ask it the hardest question that you're trying to solve in your business. So, here's exactly how you do it. The very first step is in ChatGPT, they call them custom GPTs, and in Claude, it's a project. You want to create a new one of those and then you want to dump all of the following documents into it so that it has that stored in its memory. And I call this seasoning your AI and you want to make sure that that thing is seasoned beautifully.

However, it doesn't stop there. Here is a pro tip. You want to scrape all of your competitor's reviews on all of the review platforms that exist. Think about Trustpilot, Product Review, Google My Business. Then you get all of that data, you put it into a spreadsheet. You also do it for your own business and you load that up into your ChatGPT or your Claude. It will highlight all of the stuff that you've missed and just by plugging in those holes, it will dramatically improve your conversion rates.

Alrighty. So, once you've got this thing up and running, let's get into some actual specific use cases of how we can use it. First of all, if you're running ads on either Google or Facebook, you can download all of that data for the last month and you can upload it and just simply ask it, "What are the best performing ads in here? What are the best performing geographies? Which ads are accounting for the vast majority of leads? What is the 80/20 basically?" Then you're not starting from a blank slate and going, "Oh [ __ ] I have to create some ads." You're already analyzing what are the ads that are absolutely crushing it in your ad account right now. And that will give you so much fodder to then go out and start recreating ads that are in that same line or split testing different headlines for those one ads. And the reason that this is so powerful is all the answers that it gives you is based on your data and your specific use case of where you are at. And the beautiful thing about it is that it never forgets.

And look, I don't say this to scare you, but before you know it, this thing is going to completely change the game. If you're someone who's been reluctant to adopt AI into your business, unfortunately, you just don't have long left because there are wild barbarians that are coming on horseback over the hill to literally take your customers. I spend literally 3 to 4 hours per day logged into either Claude or some kind of chatbot working and doing this stuff. And I've got all of my team doing it. And it is going to be physically impossible to compete with people like me unless you're doing the same, which is shift number one. Train your AI like a high-paid business consultant.

Which brings us to shift number two. Here's what 99% of people do with AI. They literally log in and they ask it questions. They ask it to do trivial stupid tasks like reply to emails or to format spreadsheets for them. Instead, once you've given it all this documentation, you want to use AI to question your assumptions to tell you, "Hey, this is the decision that I'm about to make. This is basically my logic and reasoning behind it. Please question my assumptions. Challenge me. Think about all the second-order consequences of things that I haven't even thought about." Otherwise, your AI is just a complete yes man. It's like, "Great, sub. That's a great question." And then they just reformat and try to hype you up.

Okay. So, here's exactly how to actually apply this. So, before you launch any ad, new funnel, or make any decision, this is exactly what it is that I want you to say. "I'm about to then describe exactly in vivid detail what you're doing. Now do a premortem. What you want to do is you want to assume that this has failed spectacularly in the next 90 days from now. What went wrong? Give me five most likely reasons for failure that I'm currently blind to. Be brutally honest. I don't want reassurance. I want the truth." And the power of this is it's like having an incredibly intelligent person that you can catch and pitch with that has all the context of your business. It knows your ads. It knows your offer. It knows your 12-month goals and what it is that you're trying to achieve. They can just bring up things that you haven't thought about.

The next way I like to use it is as my biggest critic. So, I will take my ads, I will take a sales page, I will take a job description, I will paste it in there, and I will say, "You are the most skeptical of prospects, and you need to be convinced without a shadow of a doubt that this is going to get you the outcome that it is that you want. Please argue the other side of this from the most skeptical person in my market." And show me what are the unanswered questions based on all of the reviews that I've already given you or all of my competitors' pages as well. and show me where are the areas that it's lacking and the other things that I need to include that would convince you without a shadow of a doubt that my offer is the most superior out of everybody else in my market. It will then go off, think for a moment, and just list them all out and be like, "You haven't showed me this. It's not enough social proof. What about the reviews? What about in these niche markets?"

And here's exactly how you can prompt it. "You are the world's best direct response copywriter who has generated over a billion dollars in sales. Tear this apart. What's weak? What would you cut? Where am I losing people? And then grade it on a scale of 1 to 10 and show me what a 10 out of 10 version would look like." In addition, another pro tip that I like to do is to get the reading level of it and then say, "Rewrite this at a fifth-grade reading level or below." Because if you can increase the amount of people that actually read it and consume it by making it way easier to read, you're going to naturally increase your conversions. And that's shift number two. Use AI to challenge you and not just to agree with you.

Now, using AI to challenge your thinking is very, very powerful. But there is something that is way bigger that most business owners are completely missing right now. Which brings us to shift number three. Look, everything that I have just showed you is still you talking to AI, but it's not 2024 anymore. It is 2026. Because what's happened in the last few weeks is AI has completely crossed the line. It's gone from something that you just converse with and talk to and go back and forth with to literally a fully blown autonomous employee who can just work on tasks and can log into websites and to work through problems and source data for you and literally works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while you sleep. These things are called AI agents. And if you're not up to date on exactly what they are and how they work, this is going to be the biggest shift on how people do business since the internet.

So here's what AI actually does now. You can use tools like Claude Co-work or OpenAI Codex. And literally what it allows you to do is to point to a folder on your computer or a web browser and literally log in to get apps to look at information to source that information. You can give it the task of what it is that you want it to do. And you can plug this thing into anything that you want. You can literally get it to log into your Meta account. And this is just where it's starting. There is going to be no end to where this thing goes.

So, here are some of the ways to actually apply this. So, you could do the dead lead revival method. You could have it go into your email or your CRM and have a look at all of the deals that you were speaking to in the last 90 days that haven't actually become customers. Create a full itemized list of all those people and then not only just give you that list, you can have them actually craft an email and send it for you all automated. You can have it do that at the end of the day. So the emails go out overnight and then you wake up in the morning to a whole bunch of replies on revival emails being like, "Hey, thanks for following me up. Yeah, I'm happy to have a chat today." And all of that additional revenue just comes to light without you having to lift a finger. This is money that is already in your pipeline, but you've just forgotten to follow up. And the fortune is in the follow-up.

Or here's another way that you can apply it. You can use it as your own private detective that literally will spy on your competitors. So, you can say, "Okay, these are their offer pages. This is their pricing pages. Here are links to their Facebook ads library. I want you to create me an executive summary report that every day shows all the new ads that they're going live with. Show me any price changes or any new offers and angles that they are launching." You can have that set up so it sends you a daily email. If that's too overkill, either weekly or monthly. And it's literally like having a private detective out there that is just constantly monitoring what all your biggest competitors are doing and notifying you of any changes. And then every week, every month, every day, you wake up and there's literally a report waiting for you telling you exactly what these guys are up to. And we're just weeks into AI agents. Clawbot is exploding all over the internet and realistically the next 12 months if you get into this right now and you start messing around and playing around with it. This is the unfair advantage that can literally have you wiping the floor with the competition and that's shift number three. Put AI agents to work in your business while you sleep.

But if there is one area that I see businesses waste more money in than anything else, it is this next shift. So, if you follow my content, I hope and pray that you actually run ads and you use it as a tool to grow your business. Now, when people are creating ads, this is typically how they work. They work with a copywriter, they work with a designer, they'll brief them in. Those people will create some ads and they'll come back and they'll basically, if they are switched on, they'll be launching like 5 to 10 new ads every single week. However, the game has changed because thanks to Meta's AI Advantage Plus, you now have to feed this thing literally hundreds of ads in order for it to effectively be able to do its job. That's the downside of it. But the upside of it is that you are able to test mass amounts of content and ads now that you typically couldn't do.

Here's how most people run ads right now. They'll hire a designer, they'll get a copywriter, they'll get five or 10 different ad variations. Then they'll deploy those ads. They'll spend a couple of thousands of dollars to actually find out what is the winning angle and then they have one winning ad. That game no longer works anymore because thanks to Andromeda, you just have to feed the Meta beast so many more ads now in order for them not to fatigue.

Alrighty. So, this is how we're going to use AI as a full-blown media buying and creative team to literally pump out 50 to 100 new ads every single day. So, we're going to log into your ad account. We're going to export the best ads, all the headlines, all the body copy, all the leading copy. Then we're going to ask AI to come up with five different angles and 25 different headline variants. We're going to get all of that document. We're going to put it into a Google doc. Now, thanks to all the updates with AI, their image generation right now is getting to a place where it is almost undetectable even to the trained eye that something is actually created with AI. And the tool that we want to use for this is Hilesfield AI. Your boy isn't sponsored. I'm not getting any promotional money or anything like that. It's just the tool that I'm using right now. It allows you to create UGC. It allows you to do very advanced image generation with Nano Banana or any of the image generation models. That's exactly what we're going to do. We're going to run not only video ads using AI and creating UGC content, but we're also going to create static ads. And for me personally, that's where all the power is because static ads gives you the ability to literally test thousands of different ad variations and it's a lot quicker.

So, let's break this up into two sections. First, you've got the video route. So, the best way to go down the video route is to basically use Midjourney and to create a hyperrealistic person that is either holding your product. Then once you've created a hyperspecific avatar of what that looks like, then you go over to Hilesfield and you can basically turn that static image into a full-blown ad where you just give it the first frame of the ad and you give it the script and then this thing will completely automate everything else. It will bring in the voice of that script. It will use AI to create a UGC avatar and it will literally pitch your entire product for you. Then what you want to do is you want to give it 5 to 10 different hook variations that you can run straight out of the gate. You feed that into Meta, you run them as ads. You will very quickly find out what the winning hooks are. Once you find the winning hook, then you do 5 to 10 different variations of the winning hook. And guess what? You got another 5 to 10 ads to run. And this thing just snowballs and goes completely out of control. And then you take all of these raw materials, the copy, the images, the videos, you upload them into Meta and you let the algorithm tell you which ones are the winners. And that's shift number four. Test 50 ads before breakfast every day.

So if there is one distinct shift that's going to separate the business owners that are really going to crush it moving forward and the ones that are going to fail are the businesses that think that they're using AI. They're going to go in and they're going to prompt it. But the real winners, they're the ones that are going to literally embed AI into every layer of their business and create the systems where this stuff automatically works autonomously in the background. Because while everything that I have shared with you in this video is exciting and it makes sense and it will make you money, the reality of it is that you actually doing it every single day is very, very low. So instead, you want to plan on that and you want to bet on that and you want to actually build systems and workflows that have AI automatically autonomously working in your business where it's a thing that you integrate as a part of your team and as a workflow. Just as you have like SOPs or a checklist that it is that you need to do right now, you embed AI as a part of that checklist to catch all of these things.

So here's exactly how to do it. If you run a company that has a sales team, you can have AI listen to all call recordings. So whether you're using Firefly or Gong or you use Zoom IQ, whatever it is that you're using to make your calls, you have AI automatically pull in the transcripts using a workflow that we've already learned from Shift One. And then AI is literally works as a sales manager that listens to every single sales call in your organization and it will score it. It will have a look at what do your best reps do versus your worst reps. And it will give you a checklist of all the things that they are currently missing. Then you can have it write a report that goes out to your sales leaders. And it even goes to you with what is the performance of each rep for that month and what are the things that they're doing different to other reps. What are things that are coming up? Whether it's economy, its guarantees, its pricing, a new competitor that keeps on coming up on sales calls. and it sends you an executive summary so that you have your finger on the pulse and you know if anything is changing in your market because the way that you get better is by getting data and having a short feedback loop and then applying that.

Then in addition to all of that, like if that wasn't enough, if the upside from that wasn't juicy enough, you can get all of this raw material of all these sales calls and you can use this material and this data in your ads, in your VSLs, in the email flows that go out and that you're then feeding your ad engine from the raw material that you're actually getting by being in battle in the heat of the moment. I always say that if you're in marketing, you want to get as close to the action as possible. You want to be as close to the sales team as possible. That's why in my office, like my office is located right next to the sales team. I want to hear what they're saying. I want to see what's going on. I set it up before AI was a huge thing. Now, I get these reports and I know exactly the conversations that have had in the market and I can address them at the top of the funnel in my ads, in my VSLs, and it makes everything super specific and strike like lightning.

But maybe you don't have a sales team or you're not big into running paid ads. So let's have a look at how to specifically apply this for organic content. If you're putting out content, you're basically going to have winners and you're going to have losers. It's the same with ads. Then what you want to do is you want to take all of the transcripts from the videos either short-form or long-form that have banged in that month and you want to upload it to your AI and you want to basically say like, "These are the top 10, these are the bottom 10. What is the key differences in both topic selection, hooks, angles, pacing of these top-performing videos compared to the bottom performing?" Then what it will do is it will highlight all of those. Then you can say, "Now create me a checklist that I can run all new ideas through that will basically use all this winning content DNA and tell me what are the things that I'm missing or what degree of certainty do you have that this video will actually bang." Then not only do you use it with this scorecard to score all your new existing videos, but what you can do is you can take your top-performing content and you can say, "Hey, turn this into a LinkedIn post. Turn it into an X thread. Put it into a paid ad." and you're able just to use the sawdust of this organic content that you're already creating and you're allowed it to repurpose it for all the different platforms and be omnipresent where you're taking one long-form piece of content and you're chopping it up into 50 different pieces of content. When you start thinking about short-form for Instagram, TikTok, X, threads, email flows, the ads that I'm going to put out, it just allows you to get so much more throughput from the exact input.

But here's where things get really spicy. If you go through this process with your organic content and then you take that and you use that to feed the paid ad engine, it creates a flywheel and you have this constant flywheel that gets organic content winning. You take the winners, you repurpose them, then you run them as paid ads and things get crazy really quick. And that's shift number five. Build AI systems and not one-off prompts.

And if you got value from this video, you're going to absolutely love this one that I put together on how to make [ __ ] you money with AI. Like, subscribe, and I'll see you in the next.
