Hi Everyone, This is Brielle, host and creator of Greek Peek. And in this video, we are going to talk about Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. Today, we are going to go over Artemis's birth, discuss Artemis's powers, learn some fun, fabulous facts, and find out, with a creative pop quiz, if you are a Greek geek. Let's get started.
First up is the birth of Artemis. Artemis and her brother, Apollo, whom she loved dearly, were both the children of their beloved mother Leto and Zeus, King of the Gods. Artemis was first born and helped her mother give birth to Apollo nine days after. They were born on an island called Delos. Zeus granted them immortality when they were a little older.
Now, let's talk about Artemis's powers. Artemis was very skilled in hunting and archery. Her bow and arrows were made by cyclopes, one-eyed giants and skilled craftsmen.
