Jesus, everything in my body. Hallelujah. We ain't done yet. I preached yesterday. This week. Tag, you're tagging yesterday, but we laid my auntie to rest. Well, amen. We did it. I'm tired. We did it. Now, this is the assignment. Amen. While you're standing, open up your Bibles to First Corinthians. I still have some voice left. First Corinthians chapter 2. I got it. Better with them or not. Jesus. That's just we're doing the Old Testament. Read it. I'mma read it. However, we speak Oh, verse 6. Chapter 2. 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 6. However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew. For had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Oh my God. But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of a man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but in the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. Amen.
I want to preach on the topic: The Holy Spirit, Our Central Processing Unit. Amen.
Father God, we give You glory right now. We thank You, Lord God, for the ability to learn and to perceive and to understand Your deep recesses of Your mind. Not by earthly wisdom, not by things we can search on the internet, not by seeking earthly counsel, but by sitting and listening intently to the intelligence of Your Holy Spirit, who seeks, searches, and reveals and downloads into our spirit the revelation that You would give to us both individually and collectively how we should move in purpose. So God, today, Lord, instruct us as a church how we should hear this word and receive it unto ourselves so that we can understand with clarity of mind, Lord God, from this day forward, Lord God, why we need the Holy Spirit in our lives as we seek to come to this level of understanding to culminate into today a day of receptivity to receive Him into our hearts and minds. God, we give You glory, Father, in Jesus' name. Amen.
We're building on this crescendo of really understanding why you need the Holy Ghost. So, I'm laying foundation, and my wife is going to get up here soon, and when that day comes, but I'm building foundation. So, it's kind of like you lay foundation. What y'all say? Getting beat to reveal the glory, the beauty underneath. Whatever. Y'all ain't trying to mess with me already. What you say? The concealer. You got to use concealer and build the beauty. Okay. Don't do this. But what it evokes when the Spirit begins to teach here in Corinthians, when you begin to understand, this is really about the Spirit's one of the Spirit's primary responsibility is to search the deep things of God. A lot of times when we think about the Holy Ghost, we always think we want to point directly to the book of Acts. He gives power. I'm going to get to that in a minute. But we think of Him in that way, right? And but but we really got to begin to understand that here Paul is really going deep to the church in Corinth to really get us to really begin to understand one of the primary roles the Spirit has for the church is to search the deep things of God and to reveal truths to us that we otherwise wouldn't have access to. Amen. And so when we think about it, talking a little bit about it toward the end of the Sunday school this morning, Mike was sitting around running with a wonderful guy, by the way, in Sunday school lesson, and Mike was bringing up the really the importance of not being scared to to use or to interface with technology. And it got me to really think about, wow, God, you got me really teaching this message today, really using this idea from the backdrop of the Spirit being like a CPU, right, for us, right? Understanding the Holy Ghost is like the central processing unit, or for the government standpoint, He's like the central intelligence agency or some kind of brain trust that is processing information, right, for us here. And I like, I like central processing unit rather than an intelligence unit because the intelligence unit really just looks at what the enemy is doing and processing it here. This is taking information and really using it in a way that is really beneficial to the the whole body, right? And so He sets the tone for us by searching to shed light on, um, how we should live for Jesus, right? Like, so really, the Holy Spirit's primary role is to make sure that you are living a life that's reflective of the sacrifice that Jesus made for you, right? And so it's not something that you're just doing and living that you're living a life that is reflective of the sacrifice of Jesus that is emulating Jesus Christ. And so He's constantly reminding us, or should be reminding you, of the finished work of Jesus in your life, right? And so one thing you need to understand that only the Holy Ghost has intimate, profound knowledge of God's divine nature and hidden nature. According to the word of God, the spirit of a man knows a man well, right? So obviously, the Spirit of God knows Him well, the most intimately, because it's His Spirit. Amen. It's not some thing abstract thing that we like to call it. And I'm gonna get to that too. But He's a key. Amen. And so the revelation, this revelation that the Spirit gives us allows them, the Christian, to understand the things of God that's freely given, according to the text, is freely given to us. It's not something you got to just pay for or beg for. It's actually freely given to you, but you don't really ask for it. And I think this is fundamentally the problem for a lot of believers. You don't access something that's available to you. It's kind of like not, it's like going to your computer and not taking the time to understand everything that it can do for, that it can freely do for you. So you don't really access fully its capability. So you don't tell it or you don't ask it to search appropriately for you to pull out the information that it's freely willing to give you, right? The central brain unit is able to actually access certain things for you to give you certain things, but you don't freely ask for it because you don't really understand its capability. And I think this is really about how we treat the Holy Spirit. We don't really understand who He is. And because we don't understand who He is or His role in the Godhead, we don't ask Him anything, really. But it's the Spirit who searches the deep things of God. Are you hearing? And and Jesus says, "If you will ask anything in My name, that He'll give it." But who are you asking? Oh my God. I I'm just trying to help you understand some things. Align your theology to a biblical context so you can begin to understand because I think a lot of our theology has been skewed over the years because we get excited and pumped up by preaching that we never really been taught theology. And so because we haven't been taught theology, we got a lot of uprooting to do to help you understand scripture actually what it's saying. So some key aspects I'm gonna go through today, this morning or this afternoon, and we're going to go through it. I'm just going to look at divine revelation. The Holy Spirit gives you, the Holy Spirit gives us, touch on intimate knowledge, right? His primary role is divine revelation, right? That He gives to us. Meaning that He searches sources of information in God for you personally, but also the collective body, that was previously hidden, right? And intimate knowledge is searching denotes something that is deep, right? Intimate, right? That you only get by having a personal relationship. Like you can't just have intimate knowledge of somebody or something, right, without having a relationship with that person. You only get intimate knowledge. That's why people say, "I get married. I know him so well." I guess stop lying. You don't really know somebody when you marry him. We, I, I'm not trying to hurt nobody's feelings. I'm not, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but you don't really know somebody when you first met, meet them like that. You get married. Okay. I knew Darlene in the Spirit when I married her. We knew each other. We were married in six months. But I know her now, 32 years, almost 32 years later. I can say I know her better. Yeah. That's not a negative thing to say. It's true. Right. I love her more deeply because I do know her intimately. Okay? And I search the deep things, right? Beyond human wisdom. The Holy Spirit can give you stuff that's beyond human wisdom. And that means you can tap into something if you're walking with the Holy Ghost and listening to Him, right? He becomes wisdom unto you, right? And then all of a sudden, you start hearing other people like, "That's foolish. I don't, I'm not going to deal with that because it sounds foolish, right?" Not that you're this great learned person. It's just that when you hear it, because you've been in the Spirit a lot, you can hear something you like, "That don't make sense." You understand what I'm saying? And then I'm going to go over like how He empowers us. And then finally, your connection to Christ. First, let's deal with the divine revealer. The revealer, right? And a lot of times we talk about God as the, you know, the revealer, right? And so the Holy Spirit's job in the Godhead is to reveal that. That's what His main thing. He searches to reveal, amen, the the character of God to us as believers. Amen. And so, and He wants to reveal things to us. That's why you need Him, right? He's not there just to sit and into inside your soul realm and just wait for you to just inquire. He's there to reveal things. Amen. And so with to reveal it means to unveil. So think about when you unveil something, that means that I bring something that is hidden. So if I put my cloth over my eyeglass case, right? Now, you can't see it. Now, if you walked in the room and it was covered, you wouldn't be able to know. It wouldn't matter, be available to you because it was covered up. But when I unveil it, you can see it. Now you see it, now you don't. It's not magic. It's just now you see it, now you don't. And when you unveil something, amen, it is basically an apocalyptic event, right? So in other words, when we have the revelation of Jesus Christ, it's the unveiling or the unveiling of Jesus. It's an apocalyptic event that's happening. And when we said we get to the book of Revelation of Jesus, it's an apocalyptic event. And so when when everything that the Holy Spirit is doing, He's revealing to us. So it's a show of kind of force to unveil because what's happening is it takes power to reveal. It means it's something that's there but you just can't see it. Okay? And so because you can't see it, you don't think it's real, but it's always there. So the Holy Spirit's job is to reveal a truth to you that's always existing. And our job is to pull it out of the realm it's in by believing it exists and trusting the Holy Spirit. And we do that through a thing called faith. Okay? Now, but you can't do that and access that if you don't have the Holy Spirit operating on the inside of you. That's why you have to be filled with the Spirit, right? Because the Spirit unveils things that you didn't or couldn't see at a particular time. Now, a lot of times in my life, in particularly, I didn't know that something was going to happen in my life, and later on, God would reveal a thing to me or unveil a thing to me. I don't know if that's ever happened to you, but it was the Spirit unveiling that thing to me so that I can get a revelation. Now, revelation often comes retrospectively. I say that all the time because a lot of times I can't see the thing until after I'm in a thing, right? Are y'all hearing what I'm saying? And so we have to be able to understand it now because a lot of times you can't see if somebody is your spouse. You can't see if somebody is your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your friend. You can't see these kind of things that's in front of you, right? It gets unveiled in time. And sometimes you got to just trust it and move into it. Um, last week I was in my office and I walked out and one of my nephews was just sitting out in the lobby, and he came to my office and he was crying, and he just came and he sat down. And, um, and I said, "What's going on, John?" And he says, like, you know, "I, I'm afraid to get married." And, uh, and so we started talking about marriage and all this different stuff because he's been with his girl for a while. And, and I was like, "Well, what's the hold up?" You know, and he says, "I just don't know if it's the right time." I like, "What do you mean?" And so we just got to talking, and he says, "Well, I don't have money, and I want to do, I can't do the the right way, and I feel pressured." And we went on to give me this whole thing to, you know, this whole reason, you know, that her brother just got married, and I feel pressure now, and I got to do the." I said, "First of all, you all, if you love her, you don't need to be waiting for stuff to make the moment. You have to know in your spirit that this is your wife. When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing. Let me tell you something about favor." And so I went on to explain what favor was and how when I was when I married his aunt, I said, I said, "I married Darlene. I said, I didn't have nothing. I was living in a shelter. But my favor came through my marriage and purpose came through that. And I said, and we became one. And then she was able to." And I talked to him about a whole lot of things, and we, and he was just looking, and the tears started to dry up, and I mean, we started listening and stood up, and I said, "Listen, you have purpose inside of you. And I said, but you have." And that's the vision, you're the seed generator, but you have to have a woman in your life that's your wife that can help germinate that, that's gonna bring it out. And so all of a sudden, you've been trying to do this and trying to do this with your girlfriend, and ain't nothing prospering. I said, "Because you're not making a commitment because you think you got to do this, you got to do that." Anyway, we went on to this whole thing. I said, "You can't go into this situation until you understand that that either is your soulmate and your wife. I believe." I said, "Well, then what's holding you up?" So, we're still talking, but I think he was able to see that stuff is not required to enter into covenant. You got to know in your spirit, right, that this is a person you're going to spend time with getting to know intimately, right? Because there's a connection and an energy that you, you don't, that you're going to have that's not related to cute, right? Because because sometimes it, it's not about cute or fine or handsome or any of that kind of thing, right? It's not about money and how rich and all, because you can be cute and got money and crazy, too. Do you understand what I'm saying? And this is important stuff, right? And we got to understand it, right? And so we, we, we got to understand how we want to balance what we're doing in life based on what the scripture is saying. And because here's what we don't need the Holy Spirit to reveal what the word has already expressed. Okay. Down. Now, down now, we think we need the Holy Spirit to do everything, but we don't need the Holy Spirit to reveal what the word of God has already expressed. Are you hearing what I'm saying? We need the Holy Spirit to get down to the details of what's true for us in process. Like, if the Holy, if the word of God says, "When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing and attains favor," then I don't need to ask myself the question, "Is a wife a good thing?" Are you understanding? If the word tells me a man is to cover his wife and to wash her in the word of God, then I don't need to be asking the Holy Spirit, "Should I cover her in the word or should I uncover her?" When I study the word. Didn't say I tell y'all this morning, we ought to study for ourselves. And so my thing is, when the word of God has already gave you revelation, that's why it says here in this text, we have to study and compare scripture, spiritual things with spiritual things. So when, when the Spirit searches the deep things of God, right, and reveals those things, and then you're able to test them by the Spirit, because it's going to be something in the word of God that's going to counterbalance to make sure that this thing that you're doing right now. There's no scripture telling you who to marry or who to live so you can study the word until you turn blue in the face. Nobody's gonna tell you who to marry. You got to know in your spirit. It's a spiritual discern thing. And you jump the broom and then you walk by faith and you put work in, right? And then all things work together for the good. Now, if she turned out to be civil, then you just jumped into that. I'm just and get some counseling. But check your hearing meter. Ruby says, "See, he done went there. We was doing good up until that point." Up until there, we heard the Holy Ghost, right? I know I do it to myself, too, y'all. But we should, we desire the Holy Spirit because who wants to have deep communication with God, right? And so, and this requires you searching both the scripture and yourself to understand that you have connection with God through the relationship you have with the Holy Spirit, right? And it, this can only be revealed by relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Now, I want to talk to you about Him being the divine searcher. Now, I, I, I like search engines. I use search engines all the time. And the Holy Spirit is like a search engine to me, right? That brings me information about God and, and He cuts through all of the stuff. Now, you got to know how to use search engines correctly because if you don't know how to use a search engine properly in the natural, you can get a lot of information, right? And so the same is true if you don't really have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit because you can tap into a different kind of spirit that might download into you that ain't the Holy Ghost. Did y'all hear what I just said? You think you're communing with the Holy Ghost, and another spirit taps into your line and starts downloading stuff to you because you're not having, you don't understand the voice of God because you're not practiced to hearing the voice of God. And because you're not practicing hearing the voice of God, you, you become subject, and something can slip in there, and next thing you know, you're ringing a bingo. The Spirit searches all things, everything, even the deep things of God that brings before you. That's that's already yours. Now, I hope you're following me. I said it's already yours. He searches all things, the deep things that are already yours. And I got to spend some time on this because again, God is revealing to us the thing that is already mine. It's already mine. He's given to me everything pertaining unto life. It's already mine. It's just hidden. I need it unveiled. And how am I going to get it unveiled? Now, the Holy Spirit is not just power. This is how you get it unveiled. Because here's where we mess up in our doctrine. Because in Acts 1:8, we miss the scripture. It says, "What does Acts 1:8 say?" After the Holy Ghost has come upon you, you shall what? Right. It says you shall what? Yeah, that's right. It says you shall what? Receive power and become witnesses. But it does not say He is the power. It said, "I just want you, let me help you how you unveil what's already yours and why you need the Holy Spirit." Because after the Holy Spirit is upon you, a couple of things that happens when you get filled with the Holy Spirit, what does He take over? What does He take over? He takes over your tongue. First of all, the first thing He does is He comes in you and He regenerates. He regenerates your spirit so it becomes quickened and alive. Number one. And then He takes over your tongue. The reason why He takes your tongue is because your tongue is necessary to do something. Now, this just listen to what I'm telling you here and listen to it because you've never heard Acts like this before. And I'm giving it to you so you can understand it. After the Holy Spirit has come to you, you shall receive power, right? And, and, and so He says, "And the Holy Spirit, He is power, right?" But He's not just power. He's not the power in this text. He is powerful because He's God, all power. And so when He comes upon you, He gives you power. But He gives you power, and the power He gives you, He's more than just power. He gives you power, but He gives you a particular kind of power. Now, what we don't realize is the power the Holy Spirit gives us because we don't use it. Even though I, we see it in the text, we don't understand it because we don't use it. But I'm going to help you today. The Holy Spirit is not just energy. He's not just some, it's not like electricity coming inside of you, right? It's, it's not just intelligence. It's not just that you understand. It's not, it's not just light. It's not just energy. It's not, it, it, it, it. Microwaves run on energy. Microwaves run on power. And when we talk about the Holy Spirit, a lot of times people refer to Him as an "it." He's not an "it." He's a "He." He's a "Him." He's not an "it." He's a person. He's the third person of the Trinity, the Godhead. The "He" of the Holy Spirit identifies the Holy Spirit. He's not just a power, but He is intelligence. He is all-knowing, all-powerful. So when He touches you, right, power comes to you, right? But it's more than just, it's not, it's not just He, Him empowering you. He empowers you specifically in a specific way. And, and this is how He empowers you. After the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you shall receive power. And the power He gives you is the word of reconciliation. The power of the tongue is what He gives you. Okay? He gives you the power of the tongue. He gives you the power. Everybody say, "But I have the power of the tongue." I have the power of the tongue. The power of the tongue. Now, because they said in the tongue is the power of what? Life and death. I have the power of the tongue. I had the power of the tongue. And when we speak, when we speak, because we're made in the image of God, He upholds all things by the word of His power. Are you hearing what I'm saying? We have power when we speak. That's when we have power because the next thing He says, "After the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you shall have received power to witness, to be witnesses, to speak, to speak." He says, "How shall they hear without a preacher? How shall we preach unless we are sent?" Right? So we are, we are ambassadors of God, right? Ministers of reconciliation because we've been given the word of reconciliation that has been empowered by the Holy Ghost. This is the power we have. You shall receive power. Now, yes, the power also helps you to understand how to live holy when you apply the word by speaking it to yourself. You have to speak it out. That's why it's important that you understand the the power of confession. "If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. For with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation." That's what the Bible said. With the mouth, confession is made. Like, you have to understand the power is in your tongue. And so we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We overcome the enemy by the word of our, by two things: the blood of the Lamb and our word, the word of our testimony. Are y'all hearing what I'm saying? That's energized and empowered by the Holy Ghost. So when we speak it in revelation to the deep things of God that's tied to the cross, we have power. You also have death. And so when you walk around here moping and you start releasing all this stuff, this is about negative confession. I'm telling you because you are made in the image of God. When you release death by walking around here always moping and always, you know, instead of getting into the word of God and agreeing with this, releasing life through agreement with this, because if it's already in the word of God, you don't have to ask the Holy Ghost for it. Listen, because you only, you're only going to Him in the Spirit. That's why you need the Holy Ghost because you need to pray in your heavenly language. We're going to get there. So He can pray for things that can't be uttered. And He's interceding for you for things that can't be uttered or searched in your natural mind, you can't find it. So He'll search the Spirit for you. He'll search the deep things of God for you and deposit it on the inside of you. So you'll have revelation and counsel when you're going in spaces innately. And it'll protect you and give you wisdom and guide you and, and move you like a rudder. And then when you open your mouth to speak, He'll come forth in the hour you have needed. I'm telling you, this is how it works. And so what, what, and this is not magic. It's the promise of God in the word of God. Now, we have to understand it. Hebrews 4:2 says this: "For the word of God is living and powerful." I said, "The word of God is living and powerful." The word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing of spirit and soul, of joints and marrow, discerning the thoughts and the intents of the heart. The word of God is living and power is alive and powerful, and you have been given that power. You have the power. You have the power. But you don't have it if you don't have Him. You receive the power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and He takes your tongue with the evidence of speaking in new languages. He, He takes your tongue. Otherwise, you have earthly wisdom. All right? This is why we need the Holy Ghost, right? The Holy Spirit is more than power. He is the energizer of the power. And every time you exercise, do you ever exercise that energy? The more you pray, the more revelation. The more you pray, the more you pray and study, the more clarity, right? Because let me tell you something. You can't grieve energy. You can't grieve energy. That's why as a person, you can only grieve people. The Bible says, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit." You can't grieve energy. Energy don't get grieved. Energy is just energy. You hear what I'm saying to you? This is in text. This is in scripture. Amen. So what we're really dealing with is God's Spirit processing the intelligence of God so you can access it. And He wants you to access it because in our text in Corinthians, it says He gives it freely to you because He's given you the mind of Christ. What He says nobody else can do this, but we have the mind of Christ. We have the mind of Christ. See, and He moves the conversation from this individual ability to this collective ability. So when we come together in the congregation, there's something that we can do collectively and achieve collectively that individually is withheld. That's why reliance on our togetherness is important, not forsaken, because when the Bible says that we shouldn't forsake the assembling of ourselves together, when two or more are gathered together in His name, that He's in the midst of them, that's to do particular things, to invoke particular healings, to invoke particular things. Are you hearing me? When we read it in context, the calling or invoking of Jesus in particular order, because we don't need to be gathered together to invoke Jesus, He's always present, but to invoke Him for certain things, we need that. Read it in context. And so when we understand that, then we are appropriating the word of God appropriately, right? Because Mike, you have Christ in you, so when you walk in the room, He's present. You don't need me for Him to be present, but when we touch and agree for healing, or we touch and agree for something according to the text, Jesus comes in in agreement with that. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Because that's what He said He would do, because He's coming in in that context, in that space. It doesn't mean that He was absent. Okay. So when we, we have to understand God with intelligence. And this only comes through intimate time with Him and the word of God. And so what He does is He begins to release information appropriately to us for our use. And what I mean by that is that sometimes you can't access information you're not ready for. And we, I was sharing this in in Sunday school at the end when we was talking about it, because because all information on the internet is not real information, and, and sometimes all information on the internet is, you're not mature enough to receive it. And AI can be both a good tool and a misused tool. It can be a useful tool and a misused tool. Let me put it that way. And it depends on the person who is accessing it. And the same thing I say with the word of God. And, and people have misused this tool for centuries to enslave people, nations. And here's behind this, right? So when we talk about intelligence, we're dealing with how we process it. Intelligence, knowing, imaginations. We're dealing with the aptitude of something. We're dealing with intelligence, the the ability to discern, right? And God says, "I'll give that to you." Let me put it to you this way. When, when I got saved, I had smoked my brain up, burnt it up. And when God saved me, I said, you know, basically the whole conversation about request, I said, "God, if You save me, and I will serve You for the rest of my life, but I need a new mind. And would You give me Your mind?" And then He saved me, and I felt a burning in the back of my head as if a new brain was being developed, like, you know, and I, I believe it's just like this reservoir of godly, just the Holy Ghost wisdom, like, you know, just downloaded. And I've been listening, being guided by Him ever since. And like, "Oh, you're so smart." And this well, deep things of God. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Not earthly wisdom. It doesn't mean I don't study stuff and don't seek to learn stuff, because I do. But I don't rely on those things. I believe I God gave me the ability to know a few things before I learned a few things. I'll let you catch up with that. Amen. It's funny how we get in certain circles and we begin to adapt those circles. And I, church is one of those things you adapt to. I was, yesterday was funny. I was just watching a lot of people. I'm like that, and I was funny how people is falling back into church. I mean, the behavior of church, the religion of the tradition of church, right? Like, you know, it's the, it's the whole church thing. And it's like, but then you start saying, but then they don't, you don't, when you walk by them or you connect with them, you get up to them, and you think, "Oh, I experienced church, but not the Spirit." I'm, I'm, I'm not being judgmental. I'm just trying to tell you what I experienced where some people can sing, some people can do all those different things and all that, but then they can be mean and cantankerous at the same time. That's a problem for me. You understand what I'm saying? Cuz I don't think it's possible, but then I see it. Operation. I'm think, I guess it's possible. But then we just learn behavior. And then I thought about it when I, in this message, in the context. It's not that I went to class to learn English because I thought to myself, I really didn't learn English until I learned English. I just started speaking English. And then I thought, what if I would have just been brought up in a Spanish family? Maybe I would speak Spanish. Not because I went to class to speak Spanish. It's just that I was brought up learning how to speak Spanish. I was around people who spoke Spanish. So, a lot of the things we do really has to come up with what am I exposing myself to? And when we put that in context of the Spirit of God and studying the word of God and mastering the text, what are we exposing ourselves to on a daily basis? And not that we don't have time, but I hear language, I hear conversation, and that tells me what we're exposing ourselves to. Because when we speak, remember, we have power in our tongue. Power to give life and power to kill. And when you open up your mouth, I know where your power comes from. I don't need to have a long conversation with you to know where your power comes from. It either comes from the Spirit or self. And I can tell within five minutes of a conversation where you're getting your source from. It doesn't mean I'm not, I'mma stop talking to you. It just means I hear you. That's all it means. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Because the Spirit searches the deep things, yet the things of God. And when we understand that, we have to say, how much time are you spending listening to the Holy Spirit versus the internet? And I bet you 90% of the people you were pledged, maybe in this room, don't know how much time they listen to the Holy Spirit because they just found out it wasn't a. Right. Most people don't even, they thought they could talk to Him. Excluded. But again, you got to be at talking to somebody in His name, asking the Father to send something in His name. Don't make it confusion. God is not the author of it, right? And when we deposit things inside of us, it'll come out innately. Music is a very prime example of that. You can listen to music, and before you know it, it's in your soul. Now, it can be worldly music, or it can be godly music. It can be jazz. It can be any kind of music you want you play. But it has the ability to tap into a realm that's spiritual. Am I right or am I wrong? Regardless of what kind of music it is, it has the ability to go into a spiritual realm because that's what it always was intended to do because Lucifer was in charge of it. Worship is spiritual. Music is spiritual, whether you want to believe it or not. Spiritual. Whether it's godly music or earthly music or whatever, music in general is spiritual. Understand that, know it, get it down because that is the truth. And it will get down into the recesses of your soul and it will make its abode. And because anything that can enter your soul gates has access to you. And so you have soul gates that you have to govern. And we don't govern them appropriately. And because we don't govern them, we allow so many things access to our soul realm and, and they penetrate us. And so when we start to seek information from the Holy Spirit, we don't realize that we have allowed viruses to penetrate us. And so the CPU can't operate effectively. So we, we get, we get, you know, virus alerts, we get tweaks, and so we get glimpsing pictures of stuff. And so all of a sudden, stuff starts tweaking warnings and stuff. You get half pictures of something because you've been infiltrated. And so the Spirit is trying to download something to you, but you, your soul gate has allowed so much stuff in. And so He's trying to give you information from the deep well of God. But because you've allowed so much stuff in, you have viruses. Are you hearing what I'm saying? So, you need an antivirus. Can I help you? You need an antivirus. And the antivirus is confessing, if I confess, right? But watch this. Because I need to wash myself daily. I need to wash myself daily because I need to purge myself. So, in the computer world, you have to reboot, right? And sometimes you have to reboot your system, and you have to put in virus protections, right? To make sure that you can protect your CPU from being exposed. And so you, believer, you need to set frontlets over your life. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Both internally and externally, to put antivirus awareness software to protect yourself from these areas in your life that expose you in your soul gates. And your children, by
The way, because some of your children are portals because you close up everything, but your children become a portal to you. And so it hops in. Okay.
So, the enemy comes in through a child portal, and you don't, and you're defenseless because you don't see your child as an enemy because they're not an enemy. And so, the enemy knows that. So, they use a Trojan horse. Don't they call them Trojan horses? So, they use, he uses a Trojan horse to get in, to access you, to infect you because you're not, you don't think it's an enemy because it's not an enemy. It's a Trojan horse. And and it and it comes in and takes over, and next thing you know it's, "How did this happen to me?"
But but all along, the Holy Holy Spirit is trying to download the deep things. Are y'all hearing what I'm saying to you? Because He wants you to have a personal relationship with Christ and to empower us. That was the thing I was on, trying to empower us as believers to live this effective life for Jesus. Because your spirit knows what man knows the spirit, except the spirit of a man. And even so, no spirit knows God but the Holy Ghost. But you have Him. Amen. And so the Holy Spirit knows your purpose. Amen.
So, how many people seek the Holy Ghost daily, right? For the purpose of your life, seek daily in filling, constant, not just be filled once, but daily in filling, right? Because you need Him because you get replenished. Okay? Okay. Let me help you. Some people think, "Oh, I got filled with the Holy Ghost 20 years ago." Well, you're dry now, baby. Let me help you. You're dry. Water in this bottle. This is water in here. And I drink it. And I drink it because I need it. My body, I need water. And I about four of these a day, and I need it because I, I dehydrate. I spend a lot of energy. I dehydrate. And it blinks like it's time to drink. It's time to drink. It's time to drink. It would be great if we as believers started blinking when it was time to fill up again.
I was thinking the other day, we need a blinking light on us like this light bottle does because we don't know when it's time to replenish, and we'll just keep going for years without sitting to replenish. And that's why the Bible talks about we, we put, we got to put how you put new wine and old wine skins. And it's like, wait a minute, you need to be refreshed, and you need a continual filling of the Holy Ghost. And that's why we gonna have this Holy Ghost service because we all need to be filled and refreshed and not think that we don't need the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit in our life, and we need it individually, and we need Him. We need to be in filled individually. We need Him collectively. We need Him. We need, we need Him. We need this to happen because we're dehydrated, and that's why we keep getting tired of ministry. How many get tired of ministry? Okay. Can I put my hands and leg and feet up? You get tired of ministry because you kept going. You kept going. You kept going. And then you didn't realize you were Samson. Oh my God. You kept going and kept going and kept going, and you didn't realize. Oh, wait a minute. I'm Samson. When did I become Samson? Well, when did you lay with Delilah? When, when did you, you understand what I'm saying? When did you get into a place? When did you give up? When did you download? When did you download information to the wrong thing?
See, my thing is, we have to begin to understand that we're being depleted in places we don't know we're depleted in. And just because God told me to do something when I was 20 don't mean He wants me to do the same thing when I'm 50. And I got to stay connected to know the difference. That's why the word of God says, "Give me my daily bread." That means we need a daily ongoing relationship with God through the process of downloading from the Holy Ghost. And His voice needs to be active in our life on a regular basis so I'm not disconnected from the revelation God wants to give me for today. Are y'all hearing the word of God? It's important. That's why we need Him.
I'll close with this now. I, I, I, the, we need to understand ultimately the real job of the Holy Spirit is why He's downloading information, while He is going into God and connecting us to the Father, and why He's showing us the heart of God and giving us all this information and putting it deep into you. So ultimately, He wants you to connect with Jesus. All this is about helping you to have a connection with Jesus. He came so you can live. Jesus came so you can live and be connected to the Father. The Holy Spirit came so you can be connected to Jesus. Are you hearing what I'm saying? He wants to remind you of everything. Yes, Jesus, Jesus told us in the word of God, the Spirit's job is to remind you of everything that I said. That's what He said. Everything that I said, the Spirit, the Comforter is coming. The paraclete is coming to walk alongside you, run alongside you, crawl alongside you, whatever. He's coming alongside you to remind you of everything I said and give you power to be a witness. And so He's going to dig down into the Father deep and place stuff inside of you so it will witness two ways, externally and internally.
Now, now because we have the Spirit of God and when, and the Bible says to be a witness. Now, it also says this, that we know that we have because we have a witness on the inside of ourselves, and that witness says that I am a what? A child of God. You hearing what I'm saying? So sometimes you got to witness to yourself, and I mean get in the mirror and speak word for word what this says about you because there's so much stuff out there saying all kind of other stuff about you. You need to speak life to yourself, baby, and cancel all that negative stuff away. I'm telling you now, I'm getting older, and I decided that I don't have a lot of time to spend time trying to turn myself into somebody to like me. So, I'm done with trying to be, I'm stopped. I don't want to be, I'm too old for that. And because I decided, I woke up years ago and decided that I'd rather be in favor with God than with man. So I, when I woke up years ago and said that I want to be in favor with God than man, I decided I was going to just be truthful to people, and they're going to either like me or not. But that's how I was going to finish my ministry, right? And so I wasn't going to waste any more of my energy not telling people the truth. So what's been freely given to me, I'm freely giving to you. And I believe that God has given me a supernatural inheritance, and that I would rather starve to death and lack for then lack for nothing and not give God's people the revelation of what the Holy Spirit is telling me to get. You hear what I'm telling you? Because I feel that responsible that you hear the word of God because you can no longer just sit here not empowered. You got to do something. You got all this power on the inside of you. You got to tell somebody about it. You got to talk about Jesus. Because you, if you know God, why won't you say, "We believe, therefore we..." That's what He says. Like if you believe, you have to speak. There's it's like having built up power, right? You have built up. We believe, therefore, we speak because you've been given power to speak. And it's an innate wisdom. I, when I, sometimes when I speak with Shiny, she just gets to speaking. I'll be like, "Girl, you got a deep well in you." Because it comes, wisdom. And you can just tell she spent time with God. You know, it's a wisdom. She can, it's a grace. It's, you know, it's, it's all of that. And that's how you know, you know, I love you guys.
And Paul says something in here, and this be it. I know I said that five times, but this is important. I can't leave, I can't leave you without this point. I, it would be a disservice. He says something in the text that, that is it birth me, just even mention it. They'll go deeper. They got all my notes. They'll go deeper on Wednesday. He said that spiritual things are spiritual things, and natural things are natural things. In other words, this, the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit because it's foolishness to me. And I was thinking about this this morning based on what happened to me yesterday. And that's why I needed to talk a little bit about it because I was realizing when I was preaching to the, the, the family and pre, at the funeral at home going yesterday, that some people were just natural people, like it was what I was saying to them. You could tell it was like because they was on their phone. They wasn't paying attention. It was foolishness. That was probably, that's the only time they come to church is at a home service. They don't even come to, they don't go to church. Not interested in the gospel. It's foolishness to them because they obtain so much in the world that is foolishness to them. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And so they can't receive the things of the Spirit. And a lot, but, but we had church anyway. It was a glorious time because a lot of people was in their Holy Ghost filled. We had a great time, and they were sitting there looking like a bump on a log. But still, they stood out because the natural man is, and I want to say this, the natural man is informed through the eyes, through the natural gates, the soul gates, the carnal things. Amen. The natural things. Because carnality is different. Carnality is a spiritual person that is trying to live naturally. You heard the difference. Natural is just, I'm natural. Carnal is I'm spiritual trying to be natural. Amen.
But and so, and so what we got to begin to understand is that we have five senses: ears, eyes, taste, touch, smell, and all that's sensual. But there is a difference between sensual and sexual. And sexual is sensual, but you don't have to be sexual to be sensual. And let me help you. Sensual means that all information you get is coming through your five senses. And when God starts speaking to you in another dimension, it basically defies your senses and it doesn't make sense to you. Are y'all hearing what I'm saying? And so you got to hear the difference because when somebody say something is sensual, you think, "Oh, you in the sexual." No, no. We're not talking about sexual. We're talking about sensual. We're talking about sense-driven. It doesn't make sense to march around walls for days and then on the seventh day blow a trumpet and the walls come down. See, it don't make sense to take two fish and five loaves of bread to feed 5,000 people, probably more if you count the women and children. It don't make sense to step off a safety end of the boat into a tornado and walk on water. It don't make sense that I can be running out of everything but a handful of meal and bake a cake for a man of God and open up a business. It don't make sense. And when you tell people that, they say, "These people crazy. You're a cult. You lost your mind. You're having a nervous breakdown. I need to get away from you."
But let me tell you something I have learned in my 62 years of living. Faith never makes sense. It wasn't designed to. It was never designed to make sense. It does not need to make sense. It's not sensual. It's spiritual. Faith is spiritual. We walk by faith and not by sight. It's not sensual. It's spiritual. It has nothing to do with the five senses. It has everything to do with your spiritual self. That's what I want you to leave with. And when you're relying on the Holy Spirit, it's a faith reliance. Has nothing to do with your intelligence. Has nothing to do with what you hear, nothing to do with what you smell, nothing to do with what you taste, nothing to do with none of that, none of that. Either you believe God or you don't. Children know right from wrong. Everybody has it. You're born with it. Let me tell you something. The spiritual ability to know right from wrong is something that is innate in you. And you know it, whether you follow it or not is two different things. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
And this is what happens. A lot of people walk into a place and they make a determination whether they gonna stay there or not, whether they gonna go or not, whether they gonna do this or not. I have been in places and situations where I'm like, "I'm leaving this place. I ain't standing here tonight. I'm not, I'm not doing this. I, I feel danger, danger, danger." Will Robinson. I've come to know his discernment. But back before then, the Spirit was still leading me. When I wouldn't even know the Spirit, He was leading me. He was leading me out of situations. When I was acting a fool, He was still leading me and guiding me and saying, "Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." It wasn't sensual. It was spiritual. And thank God I had enough presence within myself to listen to Him. Probably I wouldn't be standing here in a lot of situations. And this could be true for a lot of you. And so we need to start plugging more into the Holy Spirit.
But I, I, I have a feeling that we're so dry and so tired because we've been grinding. Everybody is stretched out and stressed out to the max because we're grinding and we're worried about this and that and this and that and this and that. And so the enemy has did exactly what he designed to do because he couldn't make you sin, he made you busy. And your busy, your busyness became a distraction, and now you don't have time for God. And when you do have time for Him, He's on the clock, and you just got seconds, and it's, and you're not punching in, and it's like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and it's just not enough time for a relationship, you know? Because now we're grafted into what the word wisdom is. I got to schedule in for date night, and I got to, stop it. Okay. Got to make time for the things that matter because at the end of the day, you spend time with a lot of other things. And if your spouse really matters, you spend time with that. If your God really matters, you spend time with that. You time with a lot of other things. You got to decide what you want to spend time with. That is one of your most precious commodities. I'm just saying. I don't know how you're spending it. I know y'all done with me. I'm warming. I'm just, I'm just the, I'm just the warm-up. I'm the precursor. We got the Holy Spirit going to come up in here sometime this month. Listen, He's here. But you know, I'm talking about the outflow. The main event. I know. I, I'm prepping them, baby. It's a warm-up whenever that comes. It could be a week, two weeks, three weeks. We ain't rushing it. We waiting when the Holy Ghost says. In the meantime, we're going to tag team. We're going to get it together. Listen, it's going to be what it's going to be. But I know how to lay foundation. And that's what I'm trying to do. I want you to have a desire for Him when we get to that point. I believe that's what God told me to do. They got to want me, and they got to know they need me. That's what makes intimate. Any children in the house? Listen. >> No. This is going to be good. Y'all worship team. Come on. Worship team. Well, no. Because intimacy is so much better when you've had time apart for a minute, and you really have a moment where you really know you desire a person, and you really want that person, that spouse, let me be clear, and you want to come together. And but you want to say, "Oh, you know, at that moment, it's better." And that's why I think we should from us and like we should really say, "Okay, Holy Spirit, man, it has been a minute, right? It's been a minute since I've had that tear moment, that pouring out, that intimate, come in moment with Jesus where I invited Him in to a place where He broke." Has anybody ever been broken by the Holy Ghost? But you know what I'm talking about. You know what I'm saying? >> And that's the moment I'm talking about, brother. We need a breaking. >> Yeah, He, He hovers. >> We've been having a hovering. Yeah, the hovering. But I'm just, I'm asking for a breaking. >> I want deeper. I want a breaking of moment. I want a deeper. That's what I'm desirous of for Him to come in. We can feel a breaking. Not just a hovering. Amen. [Music] >> Hallelujah. >> It's offering time. Amen. >> Offering is not just monetary. It's your time. [Music] God is good. Amen. [Music] Amen. Hallelujah. >> Come on. Hallelujah. Offering time. [Music] Never be afraid of the Lord will see you through. We must freely give love to people everywhere. And God will give it back to you. Speak to that mountain. Stand on that rock and receive all that is you. Operate your faith. Operate your faith. I your faith. Operate your faith. Then comes with long life in Jesus Christ. >> When we operate our faith, bless Him more abundantly. The head and not the tail. When we are afraid of that mountain, >> all that is operate your faith. >> Operate. >> Operate your [Music] operate your operate your step. Long time ago, Shadrach. I know the Lord will fix it after a while. Your trust in Him. You are His child. >> Operate your faith. >> Come on. >> Operate your faith. >> Operate. >> Operate your pain. Yeah. Yeah. >> Operate your faith. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Come on y'all. >> Operate. >> Come on. >> Operate. >> Oh yeah. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Operate. >> Operate. Operate your praise. Operate your f. Your faith. [Music] Operate your faith. >> Hallelujah. >> Hallelujah. >> All right. >> Do the member certificates. Come on. Thank you, Pastor Troy, for that word this morning. It has been a blessing to all of us. And thank you to our vers. Where two or more are gathered in His name. Well, there's a lot more than two. Amen. So, our names are written in the book of life. That is, we confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord and we have Amen. If you haven't, then your name isn't will heaven, hell fire away. So if you haven't done so already, but you want to confess now, you want to just raise your hand forwards about trying to. You can do that. Confess it again. Confess it every day. All right, then, uh, let's close our eyes, bow our heads and pray. In heaven, thank you for allowing us to rise again today and to experience another day on this planet that you created for us. Thank you for all the blessings, favor, mercy, grace, and love that you also love. But we only love you because you loved this person. that we might not. And may you continue to build us up in the holy faith that we wait for the glorious return of your only begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And may you help us to love each other, knowing that you are in us, Lord God. And help us increase in this world that you may increase, God. Help us to lift up each other that we present ourselves out to the world, that world. Thank you for healing us. Thank you for giving us miracles. Thank you for building us up, protecting us. And thank you for standing between us and our destroyed us. We give you all praise. We give you all glory. Concerning our ties and our offering, we brought our ties in store, legalistic reason. We pray with hope, great hope, that is that Your will will be done, not our will, but Yours will do it as it will. We give you all the praise. We give you all the glory and honor. We give it to you in Jesus' name. And all those who agree with that would say, >> Amen. >> We have one more thing. Sorry. I didn't realize I have a serious request. I went to ask the church, and I don't speak as out of fear because we don't. But, uh, I'm doing a homegoing service this Saturday. And the person I'm doing, I didn't know them. But when I do homegoing services, I, I tend to do a really strong salvation message. And the last couple times I did this, one time my was taken, and the other time after that, my house caught fire. And I'm not coming again out of fear, but I just ask if you would keep me in prayer through this week that I deliver the message that God wants me to deliver, >> that the people are prepared to receive the message that I share with them this week, >> and that God continues to cover me. >> Amen.
