Five financial scams narcissists put you through.
Number one, they convince you to let them be the sole bread winner as a way of appearing caring, right? But when you finally rely on them, what do they do? They make you beg for him and pennies.
Number two, they always seem to have a crisis. A job lost because of a jealous boss, rent overdue because a friend betrayed them, or a car repair that cannot wait. These emergencies are carefully timed to guilt you into stepping in and drain your financial resources.
Number three, they max out credit cards in both your names. Default on loans tied to you or move into your home and stop contributing. Now, you are not just emotionally tied. You are financially stuck. You feel like you cannot leave because your money is entangled with theirs. And that is exactly what they want. Control masked as crisis.
Number four, they pitch big dreams, a business together, a shared future, a new home, but you are the only one investing. They hype you up, extract money, and when the dream collapses, they vanish or worse, blame you for ruining it.
Number five, they convince you to open a joint account in the name of transparency or commitment, but they use it like their personal ATM. Shopping sprees, secret subscriptions, and even dating apps, all funded by your shared money. While they contribute little or nothing, if you question it, what do they do?
