Did you know that in the spiritual realm, there's a transaction that takes place every time you indulge in self-pleasure that most Christians never discuss?
In today's video, I shall be revealing five things demons strategically steal from you every time you masturbate. Masturbation isn't just a physical act. It's a spiritual gateway that demons use to siphon away your god-given blessings and potential. While many believers dismiss it as a minor struggle or natural release, the enemy sees it as a powerful opportunity to steal what God has deposited in your life. So, let's get straight into five things the devil takes from you every time you masturbate.
Number one, your spiritual fire. One of the most devastating things masturbation steals from your life is your spiritual fire. You see, the type of calling and anointing God places upon your life is so delicate to the extent that it must never come in contact with anything that can defile it. No matter how spiritual or anointed you are, lust and masturbation are two things that will instantly drain the anointing from you. Sometimes you might think it's okay to masturbate because the devil deceives you into thinking that once you do it, all you need to do is to simply ask God for forgiveness. This mindset is what makes you keep going around in circles of falling and repenting. The truth is God will forgive you because he promises to do so. But with respect to getting back the anointing, it might take you a very long time to recover that same level. Because in the spirit realm, the type of calling you have is directly proportional to the level of anointing God places upon you. The bigger your calling, the more careful you have to be with certain things. Sometimes the way the devil restricts your calling is by introducing certain habits into you, especially the spirit of lust and masturbation into your life. Even at an early age, he wants those spirits to walk alongside with you. So that every time God wants to use you mightily, those spirits will not only ensure they quench the fire of God in you, but they also resist and restrict how far you can go as far as the anointing is concerned. In Zechariah 3:1, the Bible says, "He showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him." Notice that it says, "Satan stood beside a high priest of God in order to resist him." But let's take a look at why Satan was able to resist him. Zechariah 3: verses 3-4 says, "Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him." And unto him he said, "Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment." Again, notice that it says Zechariah had filthy garments on. This is one of the things masturbation does. It makes your garment filthy. And this is the reason many are anointed but cannot flow powerfully in the move of God. When the devil discovers that you have a great calling over your life, one of the things he will do will be to quickly introduce those habits into your life, especially the sin of masturbation and sexual immorality. Because he knows that every time God pours out his power on you, that masturbation will simply drain it. You will keep repenting over and over but will never be fully used to the extent God wanted to use you. There are certain dimensions of God's power that will only be entrusted to you when you refrain from indulging in sexual sin. This is because if he continues to pour out his power upon you, that sin will corrupt the anointing and bring an opposite result. Not only that, but it will also corrupt the people under you. Because the Bible says in Hosea 4:9, "And there shall be like people, like priests, and I will punish them for their ways and reward them their doings." Isaiah 24:2 also says, "And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest. As with the servant, so with his master, as with the maid, so with her mistress. As with the buyer, so with the seller. As with the lender, so with the borrower, as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him." So sexual sin corrupts the anointing in you, and you cannot deliver or lead people out of bondage when you yourself are enslaved by the same thing. The Bible says in 2 Peter 2:19, "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption. For of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage." He goes further to say in verse 20, "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." In verse 21 of the same chapter, he says, "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than after they have known it to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them." This means if you're called by God to deliver others, you can by no means deliver people from the same thing you are under. If you struggle with masturbation and secret sin, the power of God will rarely ever flow through you. In 2 Timothy 2:20-21, Paul writes, "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honor and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meat for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."
Number two, your wealth and honor. The next thing the devil steals from you when you masturbate is your wealth and honor. You see, every wealth you have in the physical is a manifestation of what you have in the spiritual. Every time a person masturbates, they open a spiritual portal through which demons gain legal rights to tamper with their wealth and fortune. In Proverbs 5: verses 8-10 we read, "Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house, lest thou give thine honor unto others, and thy years unto the cruel, lest strangers be filled with thy wealth, and thy labors be in the house of a stranger." The Hebrew word for wealth here is hon, which refers not just to money, but to substance, sufficiency, and abundance. When you masturbate, you unknowingly authorize demonic forces to divert your financial blessings, career advancement, and material provision. The scripture warns us plainly in Proverbs 6: verses 25-26, "Lust not after her beauty in thine heart, neither let her take thee with her eyelids. For by means of a [ __ ] woman, a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life." This reveals a profound spiritual principle that operates whether in physical adultery or in the mental realm of masturbation. The precious life means your semen because it contains life. Consider King Solomon, the wealthiest man who ever lived. In 1 Kings 11: verses 1-4, we see how his heart turned away from God through sexual sin and subsequently the kingdom was torn from his lineage. This pattern appears repeatedly throughout scripture. Sexual impurity precedes financial and material loss. Many Christians are perplexed by persistent financial struggles despite their giving and financial faithfulness. They don't realize that masturbation has created a hidden leak in their financial storehouse. Demons assigned to sexual impurity specifically target wealth transfer, diverting blessings that God has already released in the spiritual realm. Furthermore, your honor, your reputation, influence, and the respect others hold for you is also systematically undermined. This is why many who struggle with masturbation find themselves inexplicably overlooked for promotions or leadership opportunities despite being qualified. There's a spiritual undermining occurring that manifests in the natural realm.
Number three, your spiritual gifts. Every believer has been given spiritual gifts by God. These gifts are meant to function at their optimal capacity, but masturbation significantly weakens their effectiveness and operation in your life. Take prophecy for example. This gift primarily deals with spiritual sight and perception. In Matthew 6:22-23, Jesus taught, "The light of the body is the eye. If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness." The Greek word for single here is hapless, which means clear, sound, perfect. When you use your eyes to lust and fuel masturbation, your spiritual vision becomes blurry. Many Christians wonder why they can't hear God clearly or receive prophetic insights despite desiring these gifts. Often the hidden culprit is sexual impurity that has compromised their spiritual senses. Sometimes a person who is gifted might still operate their gifts but their gifts will not function correctly. They will either keep struggling or will find out that they will keep making errors. For example, let's say if you have a prophetic gift, you might discover that you no longer interpret your visions correctly. Or when you give a prophecy, the opposite will happen. This is the result of merging your gifts and sin. Consider King David who had the prophetic gift in abundance. After his sin with Bathsheba, we don't see him prophesying until after his deep repentance in Psalm 51 where he specifically prays, "Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit." David understood the connection between sexual purity and the operation of spiritual gifts. He knew that his prophetic gift was compromised by his sexual sin, and he desperately sought restoration. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-19, Paul writes, "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body. But he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" The word temple here is naos in Greek, referring to the innermost sanctuary where God's presence dwells. Sexual sin uniquely defiles this temple, creating interference with the operation of spiritual gifts that flow from God's presence within you. If you have the gift of discernment, masturbation will dull it. If you have the gift of faith, masturbation will weaken it. If you have the gift of healing, masturbation will hinder its flow. This is because all spiritual gifts operate through a vessel that must be sanctified for the master's use.
Number four, your vitality and motivation. The fourth treasure demons steal through masturbation is your vitality and motivation both spiritually and naturally. This theft manifests as a pervasive lack of energy, drive, and passion for life and God's purposes. In Proverbs 31:3, we read, "Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings." This reveals that sexual impurity drains multiple forms of strength from your life. After masturbating, most people experience a pronounced lack of motivation, energy, and drive. This isn't merely physical or psychological. It's a spiritual siphoning of your God-given vitality. Demons assigned to sexual impurity specifically target your motivation because they understand that without it, your divine purpose remains unfulfilled. Scientifically, we know that sexual release triggers a cascade of neurochemicals, including dopamine, oxytocin, and prolactin. When these powerful chemicals are repeatedly activated through masturbation rather than within God's design of marriage, they create neurological pathways that can lead to addiction and decreased motivation for other activities. However, beyond the scientific explanation lies a deeper spiritual principle. In Genesis, when God created humans, he breathed his life-giving spirit into them. This ruach or breath carries divine energy and purpose. Sexual expression was designed to be life-giving within the covenant of marriage. When misused in masturbation, it becomes life-draining instead. The guilt and shame experienced after masturbation aren't just emotional responses. They are spiritual indicators of life force being drained from you. This is why David prayed in Psalm 51:12, "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation." He recognized that sexual sin had stolen his spiritual vitality and joy. Many Christians find themselves in a cycle of setting spiritual goals, falling into masturbation, losing motivation, and then starting the cycle again. This pattern isn't random, but is orchestrated by demonic forces that understand how effectively sexual impurity drains the vital energy needed for spiritual advancement and kingdom impact.
Number five, your spiritual authority and dominion. The fifth and perhaps most critical treasure demons steal through masturbation is your spiritual authority and dominion. As a believer, you have been given authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy as stated in Luke 10:19. However, this authority is compromised through sexual impurity. In spiritual warfare, your authority is directly connected to your submission to God. James 4:7 states, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." When you engage in masturbation, you're submitting to fleshly desires rather than to God, which compromises your ability to effectively resist the enemy. Many Christians struggle with persistent demonic oppression, not realizing that masturbation has created doorways that undermine their spiritual authority. Demons can mock commands coming from those who privately submit to them through sexual impurity. The Hebrew concept of authority is connected to the word meshulah which means dominion or rule. This dominion was part of mankind's original design but becomes fragmented through sexual sin. This is why deliverance ministers often identify sexual impurity as a primary gateway for demonic influence. It directly attacks your god-given authority and dominion. In Matthew chapter 8, the centurion understood authority when he said to Jesus, "For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say to this man, go," and he goeth. And to another, "Come," and he cometh. And to my servant, "Do this," and he doeth it." Jesus marveled at his understanding. True spiritual authority flows from being properly aligned under God's authority. Masturbation disrupts this alignment, compromising your spiritual command.
The good news is that what demons have stolen can be reclaimed through Christ. The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to cleanse all sin and restore what the enemy has taken. In Joel 2:25, God promises, "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army, which I sent among you." God is in the restoration business, and he can restore everything that masturbation has stolen from you. The first step is genuine repentance. The Greek word for repentance is metanoia, which means a complete change of mind and direction. This isn't just feeling sorry, but making a decisive turn away from sexual impurity. Second, apply the blood of Jesus. In 1 John 1:7, we read, "But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." The word cleanseth is in the present continuous tense indicating an ongoing cleansing available to believers. Third, renew your mind. Romans 12:2 instructs us, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This renewal happens through saturating yourself in God's word which cleanses and transforms your thought patterns. Fourth, establish accountability. Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, "And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Freedom from masturbation rarely happens in isolation. Find trusted spiritual companions who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Fifth, pursue deliverance if necessary. In Mark 16:17, Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils." Sometimes persistent masturbation is reinforced by demonic attachment that requires specific prayer for deliverance. Finally, fill yourself with God's presence. In Matthew 12:43-45, Jesus warned about leaving a spiritual house empty after deliverance. Fill your life with worship, prayer, service, and community so there's no room for impurity to return.
The enemy's goal in stealing these five treasures is to prevent you from fulfilling your divine purpose. By understanding what's at stake and taking decisive action to reclaim what's been stolen, you can walk in the fullness of all God has for you. Your wealth and honor, spiritual fire, spiritual gifts, vitality and motivation, and spiritual authority can all be restored and protected as you walk in sexual purity before God. Remember, God's design for sexuality isn't meant to restrict your pleasure, but to protect these precious treasures he's placed within you. The momentary pleasure of masturbation is never worth the spiritual riches it costs you. Choose today to guard these treasures and walk in the freedom and power God intends for you.
