"Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. And I wonder if you could just get in your mind, uh, that there is no disease that he cannot reverse. There's no circumstance that he cannot reverse. If you'll just build up your faith, pray in the Holy Ghost, uh, and you watch what God does in your life.

I want to, um, invite you right now. I'm about to go to the word, so please stand in honor of the word of the Lord. Uh, but if you need to get a drink of water, use the restroom, anything like that, please, I want to encourage you to do that now. Uh, when the word goes forth, it is so important that there's not a lot of moving around and distractions. I'm not going to preach long, so you're not going to have to sit there long, but, uh, please make sure that, uh, children and yourself, just, just try to limit it to what's absolutely necessary because the, the, the enemy is against what we're doing. Would love to use the distractions to distract people from being under the anointing of the word. Well, the word going forth is a powerful thing. We don't want to do anything to distract that. So if you need to move, go to the bathroom, get a drink of water, whatever, please do that now. Do to where as long as the word's going forth, God has the ability to use that to reach. I saw Sister Rita Kennedy come in. That thrills my heart. I love you, Sister Rita Kennedy. I know that it took a lot of energy and mustering a, a lot of energy to be here today, but I appreciate your faithfulness to the house of God. We love you and we're praying for you every day. Matthew chapter 11:28-30. Matthew 11. I tell you what, we'll do. We'll just read verse 28. How about that? And I'll let you be seated. Matthew 11 and verse 28 for your consideration today. I'm going to preach to you for a few minutes from this subject: Life is College. Matthew 11 and 28: "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. God bless you. You can be seated now.
While you're seated, could we read the next two verses? 29 and 30. "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Life is college. Would you say that little line with me? Life is college. Life is school. Yeah, it is. College courses designed to train you for eternity. This is only the dressing room. This is only the preparation place. This life is not real. This isn't the real deal. This is testing, right? This is prep work. Everybody in this house needs to hear what I'm saying right now. This is prepping you for the real world. This is the temporary physical world that's preparing you for the real world. If you don't comprehend the purpose of this life, then you'll never understand why you got to face hardship. You will become bitter and morose and complaining because you think that this is the real world. Now, everybody here, I want you to hear what I'm saying right now. Complaining, bitterness, lack of forgiveness is all that and all that it takes people over because they think this is it. They're convinced that this is the, this is the world that they live in, and they fail to understand that there is a world to come. And all the things that you go through here is to train you for the real world, for eternity. This world is a few days and full of trouble. This world is to prepare you. And so complaining is futile. Complaining is a trap. Griping and complaining and blaming others for your circumstances is a closed-ended cave. In fact, the, the, the person I want to get away from the most is a, is a complainer, 'cause I don't want that rubbing off on me. That deal of, you know, nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms. It, it seems like that if that worked somewhere in a Barnes & Noble bookstore, somewhere there would be a book that says, "Complain Your Way to the Top," "Gripe Your Way to Success," "Find Out How Everything is Somebody Else's Fault," and "Nobody's Doing You Right," and that's where, where, why you're where you are. And that will be the ladder out of your circumstance. But the truth of the matter is that that's exactly the opposite. That's right. The truth of the matter is, someone that gets in the habit of complaining about their circumstances will live and die in their circumstances because that's a loser's way of life. You see, when God created us, he gave us creative power. And so what you say creates. And with that creative power, if you're griping and complaining, you turn all the powers of the universe against you to box you in and trap you. But when you decide, "I am responsible for my circumstances. I am responsible for where I am, what I am. If I don't like my circumstances, then I will change my circumstances." But nobody else is responsible for where I am. It's me, right? And I intend to be something and to change these circumstances, to change somebody. Now, you have turned. It's called faith. So now, through the creative power of your word, you've turned all the powers of the universe to work for you, not against you, because life and death is in the power of your tongue. And a coward's way is to blame everybody else. It's everybody else's fault that I can't get ahead. It's everybody else's fault that I can't do what I'm doing. People aren't doing me right. People aren't treating me right. Somewhere you've got to realize this one thing right here, and I'm going to move on, but this is training ground. Life is college to train you for eternity because this life is only about 70 to 80 years, if God's good to you. I'm going to say that again, 'cause you didn't get it. This life is only 70 to 80 years, if God's good to you. If he decides to extend your life. This is 70 to 80 years of training ground, and then you're going to go on to eternity where you're going to live 7 to 8 million years and more. This life is preparing you for eternity. This life is where you find out how it feels to be hurt and forgive. This life is how it, you, you find how to succeed, how to get ahead. John Hopkins Hospital placed in its entrance in 1883 a marble statue of Jesus. And on the front of that marble statue is inscribed the words of Jesus: "Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." That statue has been replicated in hospitals all over this nation for many, many years. The problem is, is the most important words of Jesus, they left off. Because "Come unto me all ye who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest" is not an open-ended invitation. See, the problem, if you just take that verse, you think that's, that's for anybody. Anybody that will come to him will find rest. But it's not unconditional. It says, let's read it one more time. Matthew 11:28. Can you put it on the screen one more time? It says, it does say, "Come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." But verse 29 and 30 gives us the conditions. "Take my yoke upon you, and learn." Life is college. And you only find rest if you learn. If you don't learn, you're not going to find rest. Life is college. "For I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." If you learn not, if you're bullheaded, not, if you decide to do things your way, the rest is found when you learn how also to be meek and lowly in heart. Life's hard when you're not smart. Life's tough when you buck college, when you refuse to learn anything. If college is refused and you're hard-headed, life will be exacting and tough, and you'll ultimately be destroyed. Here's what he says. He says, "Take my yoke." Understand the wording there. He specifies "my yoke." Take my yoke. Why does he say take? Why does he specify my yoke? I'm going to tell you why, because there's another yoke. The reason he has to specify, "Take my yoke," is it's over and opposed to another yoke. Everybody is going to wear a yoke. Yeah, everybody is going to be harnessed. No one is free. You're either going to be harnessed to God or you're going to be harnessed to the gods of this world. It is an illusion to believe that anybody is a free agent. It's just not true. He's not asking you to be yolked as an opposed as, as opposing to be free. He, he's asking you to be yolked to a lighter yoke, to a yoke that feels like freedom. See, people are under the illusion that Christianity is the only yoke. Well, man, I can't, I can't get in the Holy Ghost, get in that church, 'cause I just, I just can't dress like that. I just can't live that restrictive. I just can't, I, I, I just can't do all that stuff. I, I, I just can't live like that. And the idea is, I want to live free, where I can be free to get hooked on drugs. I want to be free to where I can, I can wind up in prison. I want to be free to where I can wreck my marriage with adultery. I want to be free where I can plant an infernal bomb in my home and destroy everything I've lived for. I want to be free where I can drive drunk and kill people on the interstates and wind up with DUI and wreck the rest of my life. Just four chapters into the Bible, I mean, literally four chapters in the Bible, it, the Bible hadn't even started good. It's 66 books. Just four chapters in, Adam and Eve decides that God's yoke is too heavy. They decide they want to be free. They're trapped in that old garden. They're in a prison house in that old garden. They don't have any freedom where God's feeding them and they're living beside the crystal sea and walking and talking with God in the cool of evening. That, that's too restrictive. We need freedom. And so they eat of the Tree of Life in rebellion in order to get free. And just four chapters in, their son Cain becomes the first murderer. And when God's yoke is taken off of him, and the yoke of sin is put on him, the minute he feels the pinch of the yoke of sin, he screams in Genesis, Genesis 4 and verse 13, "My punishment is greater than I can bear." He can't walk under the load of what sin's done to him. But all of this was done in the guise of being free. God's yoke was just too heavy. You say, "I'll never be yolked. I'm going to live the way I want to live. I'm going to do what I want to do." That's why I don't go to church, 'cause I'm enjoying the freedom of just living the way I want to live. But no one escapes a yoke. No one. No one gets by without wearing a yoke. You will be harnessed to something and somebody. People are still under the illusion today. I mean, watching family members and friends. I can remember moving from Vicksburg, Texas to Sebastopol, Mississippi. And I can remember here about two or three months and meeting all these people in this wonderful place. And of course, I was under the illusion that, man, I was moving to the greatest place on Earth. And I can remember telling my dad, "Man, Dad, there's some, there's some good people in this part of the country. I just, I can't believe that so many of them don't go to church." But yet, it's not like where we were raised. They, they just live good, clean, moral lives. They may not be Christians, they may not be in the church and full of the Holy Ghost, but it's just amazing to me that they can live such wonderful Christian lives without going to church. And after I'd been here about a year, I found out that all I'd met was their facade. You see, the difference in Sebastopol, Mississippi and Vicksburg, Texas is, I knew those people in Vicksburg. I just met the people. I just hadn't met their yoke yet. Everybody is going to be yolked to something. It's either God or porn. It's either Jesus Christ or drugs. It's either God or sexual deviancy. It's either God or alcohol. It's either God or prescription pills. I'm telling you, you're going to be, it's either God or hatred. It's either God or jealousy. It's either God or anger. I'm telling you, everybody is going to be yolked by something. This is why the Bible says, "He whom the Son has set free is free indeed." The only freedom is in God's yoke, because his yoke is easy and his burden is light. You know, the one person that should never backslide is a pastor. After pastoring a while, I thought, "How in the world do pastors backslide?" Because we're the ones, somewhere in an office, in counseling sessions, to get to view the weight of sin on so many people. I've got people sitting here right here today that still think you're smarter than the church. You still think you're smarter than what we teach. You're the exception. You're the one that's going to do it your way. Instead of falling in here and saying, "Man, Brother Copeland's been preaching for 35 years. He's been leading people for 25. This church has been in, has been in existence since the book of Acts. This Holy Ghost filled outpouring of the Holy Ghost, we call Pentecost. Man, if I'll fall in there and do it the way they teach it, I'll have freedom. But if I'm determined to do it my way, I'm going to have pain and sorrow, and I'm going to wind up with a yoke around my neck again." Somebody said, "Brother Cop, I've been living for God, but I'm struggling." Yeah, you're trying. Still trying to do it your way, aren't you? You're still, still believing that your life's the exception, aren't you? You're the one that's going to take your life into your own hands, and you're going to write your own rule book. It's getting mighty quiet. Jesus said, "Learn of me." Life is college. Life is school. And if you'll submit yourself, if you'll be meek and lowly of heart, and listen, the yoke will be easy, and the burden will be light. But if you decide to do it your own way, you're going to think for a little while. You see, the difference is, God says, "I'm just telling you upfront, right out of the box, if you come to me, you're going to wear my yoke." The difference is, the world and Lucifer, the God of this world, is not honest. He offers you freedom until you feel the pain of his yoke, and then it's more than you can walk under. You're addicted, and your family's falling apart, and everything's out of control, and you think, "You lied to me. You said this was the easy path." Lucifer is the harlot of the universe. God says, "I'm telling you upfront. You want to live for me? I want all your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength. You live for me. I want everything. I want you to sell out. But you're going to find in the end that my yoke is easy, my burden's light." And Lucifer says, "Come to me, and you'll be free. You can live the way you want to live. You can do what you want to do." And he's the harlot of the universe. He'll be porn if that's what you like. He'll be adultery if that's what you like. He'll be swinging if that's what you get off to. He'll be sports. He'll be drugs. He'll be alcohol. He'll be, he's the harlot of the universe. He'll be whatever you want to be as long as you won't live for God. But when his yoke comes down on you, you can't walk under it, right? You may get by 10 years. You may go 15 years. But when his yoke finally drops on you, oh, I've been there. I can't count the times as a pastor, that's what I'm telling you. That's why I can't believe a pastor would ever backslide. I've sat in the ambulance with them on the way to the hospital as they wept and cried, tears rolling down their cheeks, when they finally felt the weight of that yoke they'd been building up to, walking in the deception of Lucifer, believing they were free. That's one. What John 8:33 says. It's such a deception. John 8:33. If you'll help me out while they're going there, it's either in my office, it's in their home, sometimes it's in a jail cell, sometimes it's in a prison, prison cell. But I sat and listened to people describe the yoke, and the insanity is, is when they start feeling the pinch of the yoke, instead of running to the altar, they take on another yoke to ease the weight of the first one. Well, I was just under such a weight of what I'd done to my family that I started drinking. I was under such a weight of what I, how I'd blew my family to pieces that, that I started partying. I mean, I started taking those pills because I was under such a weight of what, what the mess my life was in. So you added another yoke. John 8:33, can you help me with that? "It is possible," they answered him, "We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?" Oh, really? You wasn't in bondage to Egypt? You wasn't, you, you wasn't in bondage to Babylon? Right now, as you're saying this, you're under bondage to Rome. Bondage is a deception. You're deceived into believing you're free. Jesus says the only one that will ever be free is the one that will come to me and take my yoke. If you're going to wear a yoke, wear mine. Mine is easy. Mine is light. Everyone is enrolled in God's school, whether you comply or not is up to you. You can, you, you can cut class, but you're still enrolled. And I, over the next few minutes, want to quickly tell you that there are three required courses and there are three electives. Three required and three electives. The required courses must be taken, and the electives can't be avoided really either, but they're offered to you as a choice. Required course number one is called Living. You're required to live. You didn't ask to be born. You didn't ask when to be born. You weren't asked where to be born. You weren't asked who to be born to, and you weren't asked how or what conditions in which to be born. But since you're here, you got to live. It is a required course. You've got to live life. And somebody said, "Not me, I'll commit suicide. I'll blow my brains out." No, all you're doing is moving out of this house and into the eternal house. Once you're born, you're going to live for eternity. You will never die. Are you listening to me? You will never die. You can only transfer. Living is a required course. And if you're smart, you'll learn how to live before you transfer, because this is the college that prepares you for eternity. And you better use it wisely, because suicide only transfers you from the temporary world to the eternal world, and you'll go very, very unprepared. You don't have to learn anything while you're here. You can go into eternity no better off than when you started this life, or you can learn of Him. You can learn how to live right. Right. You can learn how to talk right. You can learn how to be moral and righteous and upstanding. You, you can make the best use of the college of life, or you can just cut class and go into eternity unprepared and unready. It's all up to you. But living is a necessary course. You can't escape it. You've got to live life. And if you'll learn how to be a forgiver, and you'll learn how to be real and honest and authentic, if you'll learn how to get full of the Holy Ghost and take on God, you, you'll go into eternity ready to live that life to the fullest. Or you can cut class and claim you're going to do it your way. And the deception is, no one does it that way, their way. They always wind up with punishments that's greater than they can bear. There's people sitting in this house today because you finally felt the weight of the yoke of sin. It's finally dropped on your shoulders, and you, you realize you hadn't been doing things your way. You've been walking into a trap thinking that you were smarter than God, and you were smarter than the church, and you was going to make life your jewel, only to find out this wasn't the real world anyway. The second required course is Death. One day the call to eternity will be heard by all. One of the, one of these days, you're going to hear the call. Your number will come up, and it will be time for you to cross from this world into the new world. What have you done with your time here? What have you learned in God's college? How prepared are you for the real world and the real life? Hebrews 9 and 27 says, "It is appointed unto a man once to die." It may be a car wreck. It may be an accident. It may be a heart attack. It may be cancer. It may be some strange disease or some coming pandemic. But as we all march around this world, we intermittently shuffle off this mortal coil into eternity. All of us must one day make that long, dark walk down the shadowy corridor of death. Corridor of death. Paul tells us about his departure from the call of the martyrs or the mortals in 2 Timothy 4:7. In 2 Timothy 4:7, he gives us his testimony: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my college courses, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." He says, "I aced the courses. I did it right. I took on God's yoke. It was easy and it was light, and now I'm going to my reward." Second Peter 2 and 4. In 2 Timothy 4:7, he said, "I did it right. I aced it." But 2 Timothy 2:4 gives us the answer of all the rebellious, all the hard-headed, all that wants to take their life in their own hands, all that feels like they don't need God, they're going to do it their way. He says, "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them to chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah eight persons, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood of the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly." What does ungodly mean? Ungodly means not like. Means like. And God's in the middle. Unlike God. They didn't want God. God's yoke, in their opinion, God's yoke was the heavy one. God's yoke was the one that was too exacting. God's yoke was the one that was too restrictive and too tight. And so they said, "I'm not going to live under a yoke. I'm going to live under myself." Only to find out they were walking in a trap of a yoke that could not be borne. If the yoke of sin can easily be carried, why are so many people on drugs? Why are psychiatric couches so full? Why are people filled with fear and anxiety and depression? Why are people drowning in alcohol and porn and all kinds of addictions? You know what they do? They just keep heaping yolks on top of yolks. Number three, and the last elective that is required is Judgment. Everyone goes to the judgment bar of the Almighty God. No one will escape it. Hebrews 9 and 27 again says, "It is appointed unto man once to die." And the next part of that says, "And after this the judgment." You must stand before God and answer for all the deeds done in this life. You've got to answer for what yoke you've chosen. You've got to stand before him and say, "I didn't want your yoke. I didn't believe that your yoke was light. I felt like your yoke was heavy and restrictive. I chose. I chose to be free." No, in choosing not to have his yoke, you chose the yoke of this world. Everybody's going to be yolked. And your fate will not be decided that day. That judgment is not like a judgment on Earth. The judgment on Earth, you go before the judge, and you stand there waiting to see what the judge and the jury is going to decide with your case. But at the judgment seat in eternity, it's to tell you why you're going where you're going, not to decide where you're going. Where you go will be decided by the yoke that you chose. In eternity, the fate will be given and explained to those whose heart panted after God, or those who greedily gasped both worlds and lost both. Now, very quickly, I'm going to go through the three electives. There's three required courses, and then there's three electives. Elective one: You choose the road to take. That's an elective. It's just up to you how you want to live life. Matthew 7:13 describes this to us. But elective number one is, you choose the road that you want to walk in this life. Matthew 7:13 tells us that "Broad is the path that leadeth to destruction, and enter ye in at the strait gate." You see, you can either enter the strait gate or the broad gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat. Because most people think that the narrow way is the restrictive way, but it's not. It's the one that leads to life. But the path that appears to be broad is an illusion. It's a mirage, because it leads ultimately to destruction. And the elective is, you got to choose which path you're going to take. That's up to you. That is an elective in this college. I heard a story that so beautifully describes this. In New England, 150 years ago, 200 years ago, a man moved to New England, and right on the coast, saw a beautiful, beautiful, um, in a bay, an inlet off the coast, saw a gorgeous green meadow. And he had migrated to that area. And so he went in into that green meadow and began to set up a home place. He was digging the footers for his house. And as he's working and laying out and digging, and already has a week or two involved in this project, he looks, and some of his neighbors are coming down the hill. As they're coming, he can tell they're talking among themselves, and they come down and make small talk with him. And finally, one of them's been selected to have the conversation. And the man says, "Look, I know you're not here for small talk. You came to talk to me. What, what are you here to discuss?" And they said, "We're here to ask you to abandon your cause." He said, "Well, why is that?" He said, "We understand how attractive these beautiful green meadows are. But if you'll notice, we all live up the side of the mountain." And he said, "Yeah, yeah, I see that." They said, "You see, our forefathers who first came here, they made this mistake too. They made the mistake of choosing the beautiful green meadows of this low-lying area. But the problem is, once a year, this meadow floods. Once a year, this meadow is under several feet of water." And he said, "You got to move up the mountain, and you got to move above what we call the snake line." He said, "Because, you see, it's not just the water. The way the snakes bed in this area, when that water rises, it brings the snake beds with it. And if you're in your house, laying in bed, your children are in their beds, before you know it, when that water rises, that water will be in that house with you. It'll come through your doors. It'll come through your windows, and the snake beds will be in your house, and you'll be bitten, and your children will be bitten. So you've got to live above the snake line." What I'm preaching to you is, your whole problem is you won't move above the snake line. You're taking your chances, and you're not listening when everybody's telling you, "You can't live like that. You can't live there." And you think because it's okay for a little while right now, the birds are singing, right now the sun's shining. But I'm telling you, the time's coming. The flood is coming. The snakes are on their way. They will destroy your family. And once they get in your house, it's too late. So I've come like the neighbors, and I'm screaming, "Abandon your cause. Go ahead." And I, I know you got a lot invested, but throw in the towel now and move above the snake line. Look at the people in the church. Notice that they're not on drugs. Notice they're not having the problems you're having. Notice the people in the church. Notice their marriages are staying together. Notice that their finances are holding together. Notice that while we're not perfect, and we have all the problems of life that everybody else has, there's just a different outcome when you live, when you take His yoke on you, when you refuse to be yolked by this world. Number two, and I'm quickly coming to a close. It's up to you to choose your final destination. Where are you headed? You can't walk toward hell and end up in heaven. You can't choose rebellion to God's law and ignore God and ignore church and walk away from Him, walk the opposite direction of Him, and wind up in heaven. I want to beg somebody, choose heaven. Choose heaven. It's so beautiful. It's so wonderful. And the reason we go to church is because we get like, did you feel it today? Did you feel God engulf you with His love? Did you feel Him wrap His arms around you while the choir was singing, while we were worshiping? Did you feel your load lightening? Did you feel what it
felt like for the load and the Yoke of sin to live for just a little while while the music was going on. Did you feel that little love? Did you? Did you feel tears well up in the corner? That's what I'm talking about. You felt the weight of the Yoke lift. The weight of sin lifted. It gave you a little choose Heaven. Don't choose hell. Choose Heaven. It's an elective. You got to make a choice.
I was past, uh, preaching years ago. My God, it's been 30, probably 35 years ago now. I was preaching in West Texas, just a brand new evangelist, a little bitty town. There was a backslider in that town that had came and visited church. And I preached Sunday morning and went back and tried to pray with him, but he just, he wasn't ready. He, he was under it. He, he was feeling it. He had felt just like what I'm talking about. He had felt that yoke of sin lift. He'd felt so much freedom in that service. He, he had felt what like what it would feel like to switch his yoke for the Yoke of God. He'd felt how much lighter and how much easier it was, but he just wasn't ready to make the decision.
You know, he was kind of like, he, he was kind of like Pharaoh when the frogs were everywhere. Frogs was in his sandwiches and in his shoes and in his bed and in his water. He said, "Man, take these frogs away." And Moses said, "When do you want them taken away?" He said, "Tomorrow." Man, I wouldn't have said tomorrow. I'd have said, "Right now, immediately." Why is it? Why is it that we want to wait? Come on, brother. What is it about sin that we want one more day with it? What is it about sin that we want one more night with the frogs? One more night to suffer? Why did he want one more night in frogville? Man, he could have prayed through that morning, but he walked out, just not sure he wanted to trade the yoke of the horrible yoke of. You know why you're nobody's here today? Because you're enjoying the world. You're not here in an Apostolic church today that you've heard is ault and narrow and restrictive. You're not trying to experience this day because everything's going great in your world. You're here because the Yoke of sin is driving you in the dirt. You're secretly hoping that this is real. He just couldn't make his decision, so out the back door he went.
Well, I was in the church before the second service, and I hear somebody's beating on a window. And I go to the window or the door, let the man in that I was praying for in the first service. He's white as a ghost, and tears are rolling down his cheeks, and he's trembling. He said, "Brother, go." I went home this evening, and I, I laid down to take a nap. I was trying to decide whether I was going to come back to church tonight or not. He said, "I had a dream." He said, "In that dream, I was rolling and tumbling in the hot flames of hell." And he said, "I was telling myself, 'This is what I deserve. I knew better. I knew that church was real. I knew that church was right. I deserve to be here.'" And he said, "In my dream, insanely, I was making up my mind to condition myself to spend an eternity in the horrible, hot flames of hell." A backslider. It wasn't that I didn't know no better. I was raised in the church, he said. And all that was fine in my dream until, falling and tumbling in hell, I came face to face with my daughter. And he said, "My daughter began to curse me. She spit in my face and screamed and cursed me and said, 'Said, you mean you knew how to escape this? You mean you knew the church to keep me from coming here, and you didn't take me there? I despise you! I hate you!'" And he said, "At that moment, the Yoke was more than I could bear." You got to choose. Where are you going?
Stand together. Music, come. Please. This last one won't take a moment. I'm asking for every head to be bowed. Everybody bow your head and entertain the Holy Ghost right now as the musicians and the singers come. The last elective is everybody has got to be like Pilot and they've got to choose. What are you going to do with Jesus? No one looking around, please. Every head bowed, every eye closed. That is the last elective in the College of Life. What are you going to do with Jesus, whom they call call the Christ? He's here today, reaching for you. He's here today, calling you. He's here today, pointing and gesturing toward the cross of Calvary and saying, "It's here for you. I died for you. My blood is for you." And you can't just keep putting it off. You can't just keep putting it. That's what Pilot found out. Pilot didn't want to make a decision. He just wanted to put it off. He didn't decide against Christ. He just didn't want to make a decision. Then, and so he washed his hands of the Christ because he was refusing to make a decision. But what Pilot found out too late is, his end decision became his decision. That's what you're going to find out today. That's why the Bible says, "Today is the day of salvation." "Right now is the accepted time." Because the truth of the matter is, is indecision, a refusal to make a decision, becomes your decision.
Now, I'm done, and I'm about to open this altar, but I want to plead with you today. Choose Heaven. Choose Christ. Choose Jesus. Choose His yoke. I'm telling you, there's, there's people in this house today that God wants to reach down and take the Yoke of sin off of you and heal you and set you free and change your world and put His yoke on your shoulders. And I promise you, when you put on His yoke, you won't even feel it. You'll find out it's the right way. It is the easy yoke. It is, it is the easy yoke. It is the light yoke. Lift your hands together, everybody here, reaching out to the Holy Ghost right now. Come on, everybody here. Everybody here, reaching out to the Lord right now. I've preached to somebody in this house. What about it? I'm about to open these altars, and there's people in this house. There's two or three of you. I could come and tap you on the shoulder. You're just too smart to keep passing it up. You're just too smart to keep walking away. And I'm going to give you an opportunity right now to get on the right road and the right path. Choose Heaven. Choose Jesus. Choose salvation. Choose the light, the light yoke, and the right way. I'm opening these altars right now. I'm asking for everybody to come. I'm asking everybody in this house to come. Take somebody by the hand. Invite somebody to come to this altar with you. Hey, come in close. Leave the aisle open. Everybody come. I'm pleading with you. If you love God, come. Come in close and open the eyes up to where others can gather. God wants to change somebody's life today. God wants to turn somebody's world around. I preached to you today. I talk to you today. This is the answer. This is it. God's reaching for you. I know you feel Him. I know you're feeling. Pray with somebody right now. Come on, come in close. Come in close. Come in close. Come on, open these aisles up where everybody can get in. Come on, everybody praying, everybody reaching out. The Holy Ghost, come on, help me, church. Help me, church family. Pray with somebody right now. Oh, don't let it slip away. Give it all to Jesus. God, let Him take your home. Let me beg you. Don't, don't choose one more night with the frogs. Don't choose one more night in your problems and your sin. Run now. Run now. What will you do with your life? Holy Ghost. God, let the conviction of the Holy Ghost move in this house today. Oh, don't let it. Holy Ghost move. You got to give it to Jesus. Move through this place right now. You got to let Him take your home. What will you do? Oh, with your life? Listen, listen to me just a minute. I, I'm asking one more time. Every eye closed, every head bowed. I'm going to talk to you one last time. I have preached in particular people, people in this house today. And I understand there's people praying all over this house. And I'm asking everybody in this house to be praying with somebody. You, you can't believe how serious this message is. Somebody's about to go home and make your situation way worse than it's ever been. You don't realize your situation is staying static. Every day you put off doing the right, the right thing, it gets worse. And if you make a decision to walk out those back doors today after the God of the universe making you these kind of offers, I'm telling you, it's going to be a decision to take to continue to take your situation down the wrong path. And there's going to be destruction done to your family, your circumstance, your situation, your body, that just don't have to be. Don't choose one more night with the frogs. God's made you an offer today. I'm asking everybody in this church to understand how serious this is. I'm reaching for somebody. I'm, I'm telling you, you're on the cliff about to fall. You're not here by accident. You're on the cliff of falling down the cliff of destruction. And God has reached and grabbed you today, and He's holding you. Turn toward Him now. Turn toward Him now. Come on, come on. Pine, help me. Help me pray with somebody in this place. Get serious about God right now. Come on, reach out. Reach out. Reach out. The Holy Ghost, it's reaching for you now. Come on, what will you do? Come on, church, with your life. Come on, this isn't a game we're playing. This is life. This isn't the game we're playing. We're playing for keeps today. This is real life. Give it to Jesus. Give it all to Him. Let Him take you home. What will you do? I need every preacher helping me. Come on, if you're a Holy Ghost-filled preacher, I need you up on this platform. Come up on this platform and help me work this crowd. Come on, man of God. Will, come on, preachers, come up here with me and help me. Oh, come on, preachers. I need every preacher in this house. I need every man of God. I'm begging you, come help me. Man of God, come help me. Preachers, come up on this platform and look across this crowd. Let God lay a burden on your heart. Come quickly. Come quick. Let Him take you home. What will you do with all? Come on, somebody needs to get ahead above the state line. Will you do? Somebody needs to get above the state line. What will you do? Soon it all be gone. You can't let it slip away. Give it all to Jesus. Give it all to Him. What will you do? What will you do? What will you do? In the all, He me now. What will you do? What will you do with your life? Oh, come on, if you're a Holy Ghost say, to God, look around and pray. Look around and help me get a burden today. Come on, Pine, help carry this altar. Come on. I'm asking every Holy Ghost-filled person to lift your hands right now. Come on, if you're if you're full of the Holy Ghost, lift your hands and ask God to complete the work in this altar. Come on, would you do that right now? Come on, ask God to complete the work that He's begun. Come on, come on, pray with me, saints of God. God, finish the work that you've started. However you want to do it, lift your voice, just lift your hands, pray, stretch your hand toward these that are praying for the Holy Ghost, and make one more push. Make one more bold push in the Holy Ghost. Come on, come on, it's here. It's here. It's here. It's here. God's working miracles right now. God's working miracles right now. Work with the saints of God. Push with the saints of God. Push. Will push your push, push your way through. Shout your way. In you got to give it to Jesus. Give it to Him. Let Him take you home.
