In this video, we're going to see an ex-Donald Trump advisor completely fall apart when simply asked one simple question. Guys, this is really, really a good one. So, make sure you watch this one to the end. As usual, let's watch it in full, and I'll give you guys my thoughts towards the end.
It's funny that you think that he's taking a dig. Do you not think that when an 82-year-old man is arrested for posting something on Facebook, that is not a form of censorship?

Hold on a minute. You mentioned a specific case there. What is it this 82-y was arrested for?

This is important because you've just said this is an example of free speech under threat in the UK, but you can't tell me what he was arrested for. I don't remember the...

>> Um, well, you know what? Let's just say I brought up a wrong example because I don't have the context. Could it possibly be because it's all a load of nonsense, and free speech isn't under threat in the UK at all, which I think you've just demonstrated, respectfully?

And as political correctness moved from accusing people of microaggressions and, um, and then people getting triggered over what somebody said, it has been a form of putting a speech straightjacket on people.
Right. So, what can't you say in the UK right now without being arrested that you think people should have the right to say?

It's because Britain still is a country—compared to the United States, by the way—where free speech absolutely exists and always will.

You don't get arrested by the police for saying anything that isn't incitement or hate speech in this country. People are free to express their opinions. People are free to give their views. We do not have a police state in this country, unlike, I might say, the way that the United States is going under Donald Trump.

Right. So, banning journalists from the White House because you don't like what they've written? Demanding the impeachment of judges because you don't like what they've ruled? Sacking government officials because they've dared to criticize you at any point in recent years? Defunding universities because they're not doing what you do? Threatening law firms if they don't tow the party line? Defunding media organizations that you think are against you? Arresting students because of what they've written on social media? And ramping up checks of people entering the UK to check they haven't posted anything on Facebook that you don't like doesn't amount to any sort of attack on free speech?

You're giving examples the same way I gave the example.

You coming on the national radio station here on LBC and saying an 82-y old man being arrested is an attack on free speech without having a clue what he's actually said is not fake news at all.

But how can you know it's an attack on free speech if you can't remember what it actually said? Well, you know, it's very interesting because you, um, started this off by saying JB Vance had a dig. And so, we don't get to have an intelligent discussion about whether there really is censorship going on if people are afraid to speak.

So, it's just interesting. This is the second time I've done a video in which Dr. Jan Halpes has come on, and she's tried to defend something, and she's just completely fallen apart. These are meant to be very intelligent individuals. I presume, due to the fact that she was a Trump adviser, uh, and she has 'doctor' at the start of her name, I presume that this is a very intelligent woman. So, where does that intelligence come in? When you think it's okay to come on a UK national radio show and try and give an example of something, think you're not going to receive any push back. But when you do receive push back, you don't have an answer to back up what it is that you're saying.
Even when I saw that video of JD Vance sitting with David Lami, and he said what he said about free speech, I was so frustrated because if there's any country in the world right now that is seeing a massive attack on free speech, guys, it most definitely is the United States of America. Most definitely, it's the United States of America that are showing that. You saw the journalist, the reporter in the clip, list off the examples. Just let's just go over them again.
Donald Trump sanctioned or blocked, um, targeting, sorry, critics and lawyers, um, and sanctioned or blocked those people that oppose him in court. Pressuring universities by cutting funding over campus speech policies. Restricting journalists and certain media outlets from coming into the White House. Banning certain words, prohibiting words like 'gender,' 'LGBT,' 'LGBT' in federal communications. Uh, retaliating against public critics, you know, even though it's not officially the case. Look at what he done with Steven Cobear, you know, literally strong-arming organizations into bending to his will, or else he won't sanction certain things. Cracking down on protests—protests, the thing that is meant to be every single person's right—is cracking down on it. Like, this is an administration that are really and truly attacking free speech.
But that's why when Jan Halah Hayes was asked a question, 'Well, what is it that JD Vance done?' she had no answer to the question. She simply fell apart simply because of the fact that she can't answer the question, and she hasn't got the absolute foggiest. This is what it is, and the people that it is that we're dealing with when it comes to the Trump administration. When it comes to people that are on the right that really will sit there and try their best to defend a Donald Trump, this is what we're dealing with. It's absolutely embarrassing from John Halpes. And once again, the second time I've seen her, she's falling apart when giving any bit of push back. Absolutely embarrassing stuff.
