Iran in Bible Prophecy: Jeremiah 49 - Dr. Taylor Marshall

Iran in biblical prophecy, particularly the prophecy of Jeremiah chapter 49. Now, you may have been watching the news and you've seen the United States attack on Iran and there's a lot of political commentary on that. But I want to pause right now and ask the question, why does the modern state of Israel founded in 1948 care about Iran? They're not neighbors. They don't share a border. Why is Iran so important to Israel? And you know to widen the angle lens a little bit, why do Zionists, Jewish Zionists and Protestant evangelical Christian Zionists see Iran as so important? And why must Iran be stopped?

Well, one obvious observation is that the dismantling of Iran and the Shiite Muslim fellowship weakens Islam in general, but it also strengthens Sunni Islam. That might be a podcast I have to do on another day. It's very interesting to see how over the last 100 years, Muslim politics has been changing and shifting in the Middle East in the role of Iran and Shiite Islam. As you may know, uh, Shiite Islam is different than the majority form of Islam, Sunni Islam. Shiite Islam believes in the original 12 imams, blood relatives of Muhammad. And they believe the 12th Imam has been alive hiding on earth for 1,200 years and he will emerge at the end of times according to Shiite Islam esquetology. It's interesting. It's weird. It's kind of stupid but we're not going to talk about that today.

The problem is Iran in Zionist dispensationalist I would call incorrect heretical interpretation of Jeremiah 49. Now before we begin that you have to understand that going back to Genesis in the table of nations the Parththeians the Elummites these are you know after the time of Noah these are the people of Persia which is modern Iran you can see on the screen you see Elam Elon sorry Elam you see Persia and by the way often in America you'll meet someone who says I'm a Persian and usually that means they're from Iran but they don't want to say I'm an Iranian for obviously political reasons and so they identify as Persian. So when you start reading the Bible and you read about Elam and you read about Persia and the Meo Persian Empire, we're talking about the people in the geography you see on the screen right there. All right. It's it's interesting that in the Old Testament and the New Testament, there are regions and peoples that are biblical and those that are not. like there's no United States of America or Mexico or Thailand in the Bible, but there is the Elummites, the Parththeians, the Persians, etc. And actually in the New Testament, too, and I put it on the screen right there. Acts chapter 2:9 on Pentecost when Peter and the apostles are preaching and there's a massive conversion of Jews who come to Peter and say, "What must we do to be saved?" Acts chapter 2:39. And he says, um, repent, believe in the gospel, be baptized, and receive the Holy Ghost. And then Peter says, "And this promise is to you and your children." Which is one reason why we Catholics baptize our babies because of what Peter said there on Pentecost. But of the people listed there listening to Peter and the apostles, there are Parththeians, Mes, and Elummites. So these are Jews from what we now call Iran. All right.

So we're going to look at the prophecy of Jeremiah today. We're going to look at what the dispensationalists and the Zionists say. All right, back to Jeremiah. I'm going to read you the prophecy. And what we're seeing, I if you're a Catholic like I am, you you may not be seeing a lot of this, but if you hang out in Messianic circles, I mean, like Jewish Messianic, uh, evangelical dispensationalism, if you turned on the 700 Club or any of those charismatic dispensationalist Bible church group people, they are loving the news right now because they believe that Donald Trump's strike on Iran is fulfilling biblical prophecies and so do the Jewish Zionists. And here's why. Here is the scripture explaining. Oh, before I do, I don't know if you all saw this. Cardinal Supich is closing six schools. Parents are protesting. And then I also saw this. This was on life site. uh an auxiliary bishop in DC said you know we when we recite the agnos de lamb of god in Latin de of god it's a genative de ei de of god he says it's the same acronym as dei diversity uh equality whatever dei stands for and and what's crazy is this this bishop this so-called Catholic bishop is taking woke ideology of dei and conflating it with God in the liturgy. Agnes de Agnes dei. I mean, we have some bishops that are so off the rails is just embarrassing. All right. Sorry, I just had to mention some of that news. Not worth doing a whole show, but worth mentioning.

Okay, here's Jeremiah 49. Now, remember, when you see the word Elam, El, we're talking about this region in Iran. Okay. Now, if you're a modern Zionist, you're going to read this and you're going to every time you see the word Elam, you're going to put in Iran. And I think as we read through this, you're going to understand why Israel is so concerned about Iran and why Zionists are pushing for this. Verse 34. The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Sedaias, king of Judah, saying, "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, behold, I will break the bow of Elam and their chief strength." Okay, so already, and I've checked some websites. I went on YouTube and watched some of these Protestant channels already. They're saying that breaking the bow of Elam is destroying the nuclear power of Iran. That's how they're interpreting this. All right. Verse 36. And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and I will scatter them into all these winds, and there shall be no nation to which fugitives of Elam shall not come. And I will cause Elam to be afraid before their enemies, and in the sight of them that seek their life. And I will bring evil upon them, my fierce wrath, sayaith the Lord. And I will send the sword after them till I consume them. And I will set my throne in Elam, and destroy kings and princes from then, sayeth the Lord. But in the latter days, I will cause the captives of Elam to return, saith the Lord.

Okay. So, Zionists look at this and they see that in order for the modern state of Israel, 1948 Israel, to be fully established and to be fully united, the wrath of God, the punishment of God has to come out on Elim. They're interpreting it on Iran. And that the bow of Elam will be broken by God. Now, historically, this is referring to ancient Elim. We're talking about 500 BC before Christ. This has from the Catholic point of view, this has already been completed. If you take my online course on the end times, you'll see that the prophet Daniel talks about the four nations. It's in Daniel chapter 2 and in Daniel chapter 7. The four nations are Babylon, the Meto Persian Empire, the Mes and the Persians, which we're talking about right now, the Greeks, which we know happened under Alexander the Great, and the Romans under the Caesars. And in the time of the Romans, says Daniel the prophet, God will send the Messiah. In fact, there's even a a prophecy there of God sending a giant stone that crushes the fourth kingdom, the Roman kingdom, and expands into the whole world. And we as Catholics, as I explained in my book, eternal city. And I was just in Rome teaching this. This is why Jesus calls Peter Peter, rock, stone. It goes back to Daniel chapter 2. And Peter died under the fourth kingdom, the Roman Empire. He in fact died in Rome. He was crucified upside down at the foot of the hill called Vaticanos, the Vatican Hill. And St. Peter's Basilica is built there at the Vatican, the Vaticanis Hill. It is the center of the Catholic Church. So all this Catholic all this old testament prophecy actually prophesies to the Catholic church and not to 1948 state of Israel. And this is the hermeneutic that we are dealing with with these dispensationalists in these Protestant Zionists who think everything is fulfilled by 1948 modern state of Israel. When we Catholics understand that everything is fulfilled by Jesus Christ, the blessed virgin Mary, the saints and the martyrs, Peter and the apostles in the succession of the kingdom of heaven on earth, which we call the one holy catholic and apostolic church. We are Roman Catholic because the Messiah came under the fourth kingdom of Daniel. Not the second kingdom of the Mes and the Persians. That was way before all this, but in the fourth kingdom. Now, this was fulfilled literally in history. All right, there were the Babylonians. They were the Mes and the Persians. And then they were conquered by whom? They were conquered by the Greeks. The Greeks came from the west. They were led by Alexander the Great. He died early in his early 30s. Some people say he was he was 33 years old. And when he died, he had no heirs. And that kingdom was split into four. That's why uh the prophet Daniel identifies the Greek kingdom as a leopard with four heads. If you read Daniel's prophecy, because when Alexander the Great died, his four generals inherited the Greek kingdom and it broke into four pieces. That's why the leopard has four heads. Again, I explain that in the course if you want to learn more. So, the destruction of Elam, the breaking of the bow of Elam happened before Christ. And think about it. Jeremiah says breaking the bow. He doesn't say the destruction of a nuclear facility. Now, modern Protestants are going to say, "Well, a bow shoots an arrow and a nuclear facility shoots a nuclear warhead kind of like a arrow, so it's the same thing." And we're like, "That's nonsense." Okay, that's not it. Then also if you look at the prophecy here, I will cause Elon to be afraid before their enemies and in the sight of them that seek their life. And I will bring evil upon them, my fierce wrath, sayeth the Lord. And I will send the sword after them till I consume them. And I will set my throne in Elam and destroy kings and princes and and from then, sayeth the Lord. But in the latter days, I will cause the captives of Elam to return, sayeth the Lord.

So, what's interesting is is this prophecy, which they're saying is in the latter days, God through Jeremiah actually gives a specific anchor point here in verse 39. That everything that happened right before this wasn't in the latter days. In fact, in the latter days, verse 39, he's going to bring the captives of Elam, Persia, back. So, it's not in the latter days that he's going to destroy the nuclear power plant as part of messianic Zionist prophecy. Actually, in the last days, he's going to bring the Iranian people back to Christ. Well, Taylor, how do you know that? Well, because I've also read the New Testament. And we see that as I mentioned earlier in the book of Acts when the apostles are preaching, guess who's present? Jews from Elim and Persia and the Mes. And presumably after they were converted by Peter and the apostles and they were baptized and they were on pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost, presumably they went back to the lands and they began to share Jesus Christ and to baptize others. And by the way, by the when Islam came to Persia in Elam, that was in the 600s. When Islam came there at that time, I looked it up last night. Scholars estimate estimate that 10 to 25% of these people were already Christian by the 600s. It had a massive Christian population which means God was at work through sacramental baptism in the preaching of the gospel already in this region. So that a quarter of the people aboutouts were already Christian before they even heard of Islam. Then Islam came in and screwed it all up. Now there's still Christians there. Of course we pray for our brothers and sisters. There's also, I've been reading, a massive movement in Iran of underground conversions to Christianity. Now, you can't become Christian in Iran under its totalitarian regime. By the way, Iran is a very wicked totalitarian nation um and hostile to Christianity. But there are under massive underground conversions to Jesus Christ occurring in Iran, which I think is very encouraging and what we really need. I was having coffee this morning with my wife Joy and we were talking about Iran and the Middle East and Israel and my wife just said, you know, we just need everyone to convert to Jesus. That's what we need. I was like, you're right. We need all these people to convert to Christ. And what's crazy is by the 500s 600s Egypt was Christian, North Africa was Christian, lots of Arabia was Christian, this region was becoming Christian. And all of that was destroyed. It was paused. Why? Because of Muhammad. And it's not like these people, you know, they handed out copies of the Quran and people started reading like, "Wow, this is beautiful. It's so true. This is so much better than Christianity. we should be become Muslims because it's a better. No, they did it because of the sword and heavy taxation. These people became Muslim under persecution from weakness. Should have become martyrs but instead they became Muslims. And that's what happened, right? That's where we are.

So biblical prophecy we need to understand and and go back to the book of Revelation, the apocalypse. There's only one kingdom that matters at the end of time. And I explain this in the course which you can start using the link in the show notes. There's only one kingdom that matters in the book of Revelation. And there's only one kingdom that matters in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. There's only one kingdom that matters in Paul or in the Catholic epistles in the New Testament. It's the kingdom of God. John the Baptist appears on the scene before he baptizes Jesus Christ. And what does he do? He comes preaching to prepare the people about the kingdom of God. The message of John the Baptist is really simple. He says over and over, "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand." That's the message of John the Baptist. What does John the Baptist mean? He means God is about to start a modern state of Israel in 1948. Is that what John the Baptist meant back in AD30? No. He meant the son of God, the incarnate God had entered into human history and was about to establish a new kingdom, the true messianic kingdom, which is the assembly of people who gather around Christ. They enter into the person of Christ through baptism. They continue to partake in communion with him through a thing called holy communion. They partake of their union, their communion with Jesus Christ by attending mass in receiving the eukarist and by forming a visible society on earth. That is not just one nation like the nation of Israel or America, United States of America. No, it is called the Catholic assembly. Ecclesia in Greek. Eklesia means a gathering of people. It is the word for church in Greek. Catholic in Greek means universal including the whole of mankind. This is Christianity. And we have a bunch of crazy people on the internet and online and a bunch of people, many of them are senators and congressmen who believe that the message of Jesus Christ in the New Testament is to give weapons, guns, jets, money, billions of dollars to the modern state of Israel. and that we must vanquish the ancient geographical enemies of Israel, in this case Elam associated with modern-day Iran, because of Jeremiah chapter uh 49, which I just read to you, which has already been fulfilled before Christ and actually states that in the and in the last days, the refugees of Elam will be brought back presumably to the kingdom of God through salvation. And we do read in the book of Revelation that all nations will start to come to the kingdom to enter into the new Jerusalem. And St. Paul and the book of Revelation are very clear. The new Jerusalem is not 1948 Jerusalem protected by Tel Aviv. The new Jerusalem is the bride of Christ in heaven. It is the mystical city of God in heaven. It is the communion of saints. Read the epistle of Hebrews. Read first Peter. Read the book of Revelation. The assembly of the saints around Jesus Christ is the kingdom. Why? Because Jesus is the king. Jesus is the king. Who is his kingdom? the people who assemble with him. Where is his reign? Well, his reign, he's seated at the right hand of the father. Heaven is his kingdom. And yet, he gave us a special prayer to pray every single day. We pray it at the mass also. We pray it in the rosary. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Our job as Catholics, our job as Christians is to manifest the heavenly kingdom where Jesus is king. To manifest it on earth. How do you do that? By forgiving people, by being merciful to people, by feeding the poor, by proclaiming the gospel, by not committing mortal sin, by responding to a vocation to the religious life of the priesthood sacrificially, by entering into the sacrament of holy ma matrimony, not living with one another, concubinage, partners, whatever that is, being generous, having a large family if you're able to, Remember, God said, "Be fruitful and multiply." If you're able to have children and you only have two kids, you are not multiplying. You are disobeying. I'm talking about people who are able to have children and are married. If you're like, "We're two and we're through." You're disobeying God. Be fruitful and multiply entails minimum of three children. That's what we're called to do as Christians. and to raise little ones to love Jesus, to teach them how to pray, to teach them the Our Father, to teach them the catechism, to bring them the church, to create homes that are warm and loving and forgiving and merciful, where kids want to come back home because the aroma of happiness and joy, the aroma of the Holy Spirit is there. That's what we're called to do. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, manifesting the love of Christ on earth. And that's the only kingdom that really matters. And that's why we have a pope and why we have bishops and why we have priests. Why? To manifest Jesus in the world. And to the extent that a pope or a cardinal or a bishop or priest doesn't do that, they are failing the mandate of the kingdom. Some people sadly enter into the clergy or into the religious life to live comfortably or for their pride or to mask their own sins, their own degeneracy. Some people enter in to infiltrate and to undermine the kingdom from the inside. But the true vocation, the true calling is to be a sacrificial servant to manifest the love of Jesus, the good news of Jesus Christ, that we're sinners, that we were born in original sin, that we've lived lives that are unworthy of God, that have hurt ourselves, that have hurt other people, and that if we accept Christ, not only can we be forgiven, but we can be transformed. We can go from being ugly and sinful to being beautiful and holy. And that's not because we're extra special. It's because God is at work in us. And we allow God to work in us. There's a synergy between God and us. And it becomes a beautiful thing. And when we look at the saints, we see that beautiful synergy. And we're called to do the same thing.

Um, I was having dinner with some Calaldian Catholics from Iraq. the stories they told every member, every person at the table, probably about eight or 10 of them had a relative who was a martyr who had been killed by Muslims for being Christians. Every single one of them, one of them mentioned a family member. It was like an uncle or a cousin. He came home and his wife and children were hanging in the house. absolutely horrific behavior. Why did that happen? Well, we went into Iraq. We got rid of Saddam Hussein who was a bad guy. Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, but he was tolerant towards Christians. After we got rid of Saddam Hussein, a new regime came in that was ISIS. It was it was very belligerent and they they persecuted Christians to no end. And this is why many of the Calaldian Catholics had to move to Michigan. They were brought in I think under George W. Bush. They were getting slaughtered by the new regime in Iraq. And so they made a pathway for them to come to America that put them in Michigan. So there's a lot of Calaldian Catholics there. Shout out to all my Calaldian brothers and sisters. [sighs] From the time you leave your pew to receive communion until you return, which times during that process, if any, should be genu genulections be made? I notice little uniformity with this at different TLMs at different parishes. Um, so Dustin, what we need to understand is there are no rules for the ley. I know we lady, we layman, we think we're so important and there's a lot of policing that goes on in the novas ordo and in the TLM traditional Latin mass of well I kneel during the epistle and I notice people are sitting down in the epistle during low mass but my little red book says that they look there are no rubrics for the lay people. We really don't matter. I know that hurts our pride. Well, I you know I want to hold my hands like this and hold my and this and everyone. No, you are a lay person. There are rubrics for the priest because the priest is offering the sacrifice of the mass. And I believe it's Alfonsus Lori says that if a priest purposefully breaks the rubrics of the mass, it's a mortal sin. Might be wrong on that, but I think Alfonsori teaches that because the priest is in persona Christi, he must obey the rubrics. Because if a priest is disobeying the rubrics and he's in persona Christi, he is communicating sacramentally that Jesus Christ is not obedient. And we know that Christ was perfectly obedient to the father in the Holy Spirit. So if a priest is breaking the rubrics on the altar, he's he's demonstrating disobedience in the sacred liturgy and I think that's why Alphonsus Lori said it's a mortal sin to break the to change or break the rubrics of the mass because the priest must be perfectly obedient on the altar. Now, we lay people, there's no rules. And I've been to TLMs all over the world, and I've seen different customs. And as a matter of fact, we just had our traditional Latin mass pilgrimage to Italy. It was fantastic. Two weeks. We had traditional Latin mass in Rome and all over Italy and Florence and Venice and Aisi. We had TLM everywhere. And we had people part of our pilgrimage, mostly Americans, but we had Canadians and Spaniards and Australians and people from all other all over. And things are done a little bit. Trades in in Europe have some different customs than American trades, mostly because traditionalists in America kind of inherit the more Irish expression of of attending and hearing the traditional Latin mass. And some people were like, "Well, they're doing it wrong or why are they doing it this way? I've never seen lay people at TLM sit or stand or whatever at this point." And and we had a great priest with us, Father Xiao Syla, and he gave a talk one night on. He goes, "Look, at the end of the day, the lay people are the lay people. They're not the priest. And you need to hang up the idea that you're so important that y'all have this. Y'all have rubrics like we priests have rubrics. As long as you're not disrupting the liturgy or causing people not to be able to pray, um there are no rules, right? There's no official rubrics for us. It's kind of humbling. It's hard for us to hear, but I want you to hear it. All right. Um, and so when it comes to genulections, I'll tell you the custom that I've heard and it's what I've seen mostly and that is when you have the eukarist in you, you've received holy communion. Okay? So, you've knelt at the rail, you've received holy communion on the tongue, you're going back to your pew, you don't genulect on going back into your pew. Why? because Jesus is inside of you, right? You could genulect to the front of the church where Christ is in the tabernacle or in the hands of the priest, but also Christ is in you and you'd be kind of I don't know how you would genulect toward yourself, right? Or you could technically you could genulect to any person that just received communion before you because they all have Christ in them at that moment too. I mean technically you have to genulect to every person that's received communion as you go back to your pew, right? So when you have Christ in you, you don't genulect it. And as I understand it also when you come out of your pew to go up and receive communion because people are already receiving communion and the presence of Christ is it's not just in the tabernacle. You also do not genulect. So my experience is during communion when people are going and coming back from communion there is no genulection which makes sense. But after mass, genulection outside of mass, when you come into your pew and there's a tabernacle, genulection before mass, genulection, etc. I hope that makes sense. All right.

I'm going to pull out a super chat. If you have any more super chats, put them in there. I'll come back. I'm going to go back into the general chat right now. [snorts] Uh, Anelise, I don't think he comes with an attitude of importance. It's more about what is the correct timing for genulection to give reference for God. No, no. I'm not I'm not saying that he has an attitude of importance. I'm not I'm not imputing that to him. I'm just saying that often, especially when you have people who are policing the other lay people, most commonly with sitting or kneeling during the epistle in the traditional Latin mass is a very common one. Very common. Um, I generally conform to the parish unless I'm really tired or my back hurts. But, um, I'm saying that it does exist. I'm just saying that there is there you can't go and say, "Oh, here's the 1641 decree on what lay people should be doing on the genulection uh on the way back from communion. It doesn't exist. As a matter of fact, if you had gone to a traditional atm mass in 1200, there were no pews. Zero pews. People would have been, and by the way, males and females would have been segregated. On one side of the church would be males, on the other side of the church would be females. The 1917 code of canon law also has segregation of males and females. So, let's just say you're at a TLM in a cathe. You're in you're at Notradam, Paris. It's 12:50 and um men and women would be on different sides of the church and people would be walking around. People would go light a candle, you know, people would would pray at one of their favorite altars or at a saint, you know, and you know, some people might be kneeling the whole time, some people might be standing. The idea that we're all in rows in a pew with a kneeler that goes up and goes down, it's pretty new invention. Pews came in at the Protestant Reformation because Protestants put in pews because they had long sermons, 45 minute sermons. Nobody wanted to, you know, stand for that. So Protestants put in pews everywhere. And then Catholics saw that and they said, "Hey, we want some pews, too." So then Catholics started using pews, but then they needed a little special kneeler that goes up and down. That's all kind of new. You know, Thomas Aquinus, he didn't see any pews or kneelers. So, the idea that we're all shouldertosh shoulder in rows in pews with kneelers and that we're all in lock step doing the exact same thing for the full hour of mass is a more modern thing. And I just I I just want to encourage people to a not feel judged if you're, you know, sitting for the epistle or whatever. um or or whatever difference is happening. And one thing I've seen, for example, is in low mass in America, people tend to sit for the um dominat right so to do. Preface, holy, holy, holy. In Europe, people I've noticed often stand even in low mass for that part, which actually kind of makes sense because it is one of the most important parts of the liturgy and we are lifting up our hearts and standing before the trinity and saying holy, holy, holy instead of just sitting there because we just watch the operatory while we were sitting. So I've noticed in Europe and low mass that difference. I actually kind of like that. I think it makes more lurggical sense. But even though I like that when I'm in America, I do the American way. I sit during the during the Cersam Corta. But it kind of makes sense. The Europeans kind of makes sense. Kind of like it. But again, I'm not here on a microphone. I'm a dad on a webcam. What I say doesn't matter anyway. I'm not a manior or pope or bishop. Um there are differences. And I kind of, you know, when in Rome do is the Romans. If I'm in Europe and people stand up for the surfing court, I stand up. You know, I was in Tyler, Texas yesterday, pe Well, it was a high mass, so we stood, but you know, if I'm at a low mass and people are sitting during the cers court, I sit on the cers and court. Again, I'm just a lay guy. I'm not a priest. I'm there to witness and attend mass. I'm not a necessary performer or celebrant at the mass. That makes sense.

I don't understand what's going on. CVI I don't think Jesus was referring to Peter as the rock. I think he was talking about the fact that Jesus was the son of God. Um, well, he definitely changed Peter's name to Rock, so we got to deal with that. And then everyone for the rest of Peter's life called him Cphus or Peter Rock. So, obviously something big happened there. Yep. Here we go. When in Rome, do as the Romans. Bingo. Here we go. Uh, Gorgle, why do we kneel on Sunday if the council of Nika says not to do so on Sundays? Always wondered about that. Why uh we do that in the West? It's a good question. And I've definitely read that in the council of Nika. Um I'd be curious. I'd want to talk to to Eastern liturgists about the role of prostrations during Easter tide. And yeah, I'd like to know that. But it's a it is a good topic. It's certainly I think in the west in the high mass which is the normative mass there's not a lot of kneeling except for the consecration there actually quite a bit of standing. Again remember there were no kneelers um up until the reformation. That's a good question. I'm going to look that up and get back to you. Viva says, "Grew up under the preconce. We had rubrics for us in the missile that the priest didn't follow. We followed the published rubrics exactly because we knew we weren't important." Uh, I'd be curious about what they were. I'd be curious to see that. I know a lot of uh hand missiles do have pictures and we'll say uh seated, standing, kneeling, etc. But I don't think any of those come from and I I if I'm wrong on this, I would love to be educated on it, but I don't think any of those come from the Holy Sea. Can a bishop impose a rubric for the ley? Um, I don't know. I mean, we have to understand the word rubric. Rubric. Rubra. Red. Rubric is something written in red. So, when a priest has a missile, he opens it. All right. Here's a missile. The things the text in black is what he says. And then the things written in red are the things he does with his body and his hands. So it might say, "Make the sign of the cross, you know, over the host three times." That'll be written in red. So he'll do this, right? And then if it's in black, he says it like Father Z used to say, "Say the black, do the red." All right? Don't make up stuff. So you technically can't have a rubric for the lady. All right. Now, what we've seen in America is the United States Conference of Bishops, the USCCCB, they basically the rubric that they've tried to impose on us is you have to stand and receive communion. Don't kneel. Now, un fortunately for us, Rome has always allowed us to kneel even to this day, right? So, the USCCCB is always beating the drum. Stand up. Stand up. Stand up. But our freedom to kneel is protected in Rome. So we can continue to kneel. So I guess that's the only example that I can think of where the bishop tries to impose a rubric or in this case the USCCCB. Good question. [snorts] Um a Jesus Maria says, "I think the war does not meet the just war criteria and therefore is immoral. I would encourage all of you to is this it here? Yeah. Here we go. This is an old image, but if you haven't read my book, Christian Patriot bestseller, I have a whole chapter on just war theory from St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. It's very clear. It's very precise. I put it in bullet points. And in the book, I recommend that the United States of America and every nation on earth with a Christian majority should insist that all the bullet points on a just war, the criteria for a just war, they must be checked off individually before acts of war are accomplished. So yeah, we need just war. If it's not a just war, it is sinful. Good point. >> [snorts] >> All right. How do we know it will be a low or a high mass? Low quick. I have a by the way, the course that I offered y'all on Lent and then the course on the apocalypse. There's also a course that you'll get on the Latin mass and I have a course on this. If you walk into the church and two candles are lit, it's a low mass. If six candles are lit, it's a high mass. If seven candles are lit, it's a high mass with a bishop. There you go. Occasionally, very rare. I think I've seen it once or twice in my whole life. There'll be four candles lit. This is sometimes done for a misa canata. It's a high mass without deacon or subdeacon. But almost always two candles is low mass, six candles is high mass. You know right off the bat just based on the candles lit what's going to happen. And in a low mass there'll be no chanting, there'll be no incense. In a high mass, there will be chanting and there will be incense. There um on a Sunday you may see the aspurges. And if it's a solemn high mass, you'll see the priest in the middle and he'll have a deacon and a subdeacon on either side of him. That's a solemn high mass. Six candles. [snorts] Ah, this is one of my favorite ones here. My priest told me that St. Serial of Jerusalem taught the postconilia way of receiving holy communion with a crown made by the hands. that kneeling was a pious addition. Okay, this is a common common uh misconception in the novous order world and I have I've already disputed it a dozen times on the show, but it it's been a year or two. So, I am going to do it again. And so that I get the quote right, I'm going to go to taylor.com, communion in the hands, and hit enter. Baboom. What's crazy is over the years people take my my um articles and repost them on all the other websites. But here we go. [snorts] Hopefully this is it. Okay. So, St. Serial of Jerusalem, we don't know if this quotation is valid or not, but your priest who's telling you this is referring to this quotation. And it reads as thus quote, "When thou goest to receive communion, go not with wrists extended, nor with thy fingers separated, but placing thy left hand as a throne for thy right, which is to receive so great a king, and in the hollow of the palm, receive the body of Christ, saying, "Amen." Okay, so everyone's taught this. All right? Kids are taught this at first communion. They always say, "Stero Jerusalem." This is the way early church did it. We got to do the way the early church did it. that y'all are doing the early church. Early church. Okay. Then it says, let me get the rest of it here. It then goes on to say that the faithful should touch the body of Christ to their eyes before consuming it. and the faithful should touch their lips still moist with the precious blood and touch the blood to their eyes. Okay, so if you keep reading this passage which says make a throne, it then says to touch the host to your eyes and then to receive the blood and when the blood is still on your lips to take your hand and then put the blood on your eyes. Are you doing that? I hope you're not doing that. I hope

You're not doing that. And so this is the problem with that quote. It is a selective quote. They quote the part about making a throne with your hands, but then they delete and edit and cut off the part about touching the host to your eyes and then taking the blood off your lips and touching it to your eyes.

Either I believe that this quote on s by St. Serial is a fake quote. All right. I think this is apocryphal. I don't think St. Serial of Jerusalem actually said for people to touch the eucharistic species to their eyeballs or their eyelids. Okay, I don't. But I just find it so disingenuous that people are going to cite that passage for communion in the hand and then they just totally omit the second part of it. Because if you're going to say this is the way the early church did it, here's this quotation, read the whole quotation. And when you read the whole quotation, you say, "Is that what we should be doing, father?" I'm like, "Well, no. You know, you shouldn't be doing that." Okay, then let's just take the quotation off the table. That's my take on that one. [snorts]

Uh, John John says, "Priest hands are consecrated. Touch the Eucharist." Exactly. Our hands are not consecrated. Their hands are. And before Vatican 2, guess what else was consecrated in lay people? Your tongue. When you were baptized as an infant or as an adult, the priest blessed and consecrated your tongue with holy salt. Why? To prepare you for the eukarist. So priests have blessed hands for handling the eukarist and lay people at baptism before Vatican 2 had tongues that were blessed. Why? Because we receive the eucharist on the tongue and priests hold the eucharist in their hands. It's almost like holy mother church thought of everything because she did. And then people came in in the 60s and 70s and changed everything and it got all confusing. [snorts]

All right, one more. That was a good comment. I like that. Oh boy. Tailored the other way. The prophecy says Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea will send missiles for the first time to the US. It's World War II. There's no prophecy that I know that says that. [snorts]

Here's a good final one here, Enrique. God's chosen people were the people followers of Moses under the first covenant until the crucifixion of Jesus are all Christians after the second covenant. God's chosen people. There's actually seven covenants, not two. All right. Adam, covenant with Adam, covenant with Noah. Noah, covenant with Abraham, covenant with Moses, uh, covenant with David, the new covenant. Oh, and then at the very beginning, the covenant of creation. There's seven covenants. Um, and it's in the Old Testament. It wasn't the followers of Moses that were part of the Old Covenant. It was cuz Moses, remember, he doesn't come around until 1300, you know, maybe 14,500 BC. There were a lot of people before that. For example, Noah and Abraham were people of covenant. They were saved, but they never even heard of Moses because Moses wasn't even born yet. All right? We were justified from Adam and Eve, even until Jesus Christ, by looking forward to the salvation that God promised Adam and Eve. Genesis chapter 3:15. With each successive covenant, there was more information given. When Jesus died under Pontius Pilate and rose on the third day and ascended into heaven and gave us the Holy Spirit, there was the fullness of all revelation to us. So the people of God from Adam and Eve until this day are the people that follow the fullness of divine revelation revealed in the covenant. We live in the new and everlasting covenant, the last covenant, the new covenant, the covenant and the blood of Jesus Christ. Anyone who's in that covenant, the blood of Jesus Christ is the chosen people of God. Just like if you lived in the days of Noah or after Noah and you're like, I follow the covenant of Noah and what God revealed to Noah. You were the chosen people. Does that make sense? Good question.
