Good morning. [Music] All right, you guys, it's episode 32 of Inner Demons. I'm gonna get straight to it, but before I do, let me just start out real quick by extending my appreciation to everybody that dropped positive comments, positive feedback, and those of you that dropped some constructive criticism. I already responded to some of you. Others, I'm gonna respond to over the course of this video or the next couple of videos, episode 33, 34, 35. You guys keep the comments and the questions coming because it helps. It helps expand, or it helps, it helps expand my, my perspective when I'm talking about this stuff. When I was going through you guys's comments, I was like, man, that's something right there that I should have elaborated on, or this is something that I missed altogether, or next time when I talk about this, I'm gonna branch off and make sure I cover that. So it helps, it helps when you guys ask questions or you guys touch on some of the same issues that you did with episode 31, episode 30, and 31. Anyway, here's, here's a prime example. So hopefully I'll get this video out too, man. I started this [ __ ] over about a thousand times in two days. I can't get it out. I can't get it right, but let's see if this one right here is, is the magic one.
So anyway, at the end of episode 31, I was talking about one of the homies that got hit, got shot over there in Corcoran, and he was basically trying to educate everybody else insofar as what happens when you get shot, how it affects the body, what kind of bullet they're using, what kind of gun they're using, the history, the medical terminology. Homeboy had, he had a lawsuit, he had a lawsuit going against CDC, so he had all the terminology, all kind of graphics, just all kind of literature on, on, you know, pictures and, and just everything. So he really, homeboy really did have good intentions on trying to educate everybody else, but it was kind of over the top. Homeboy really believed that there was a bullet that blew up on impact, like the way he was, the way he was talking about it was like these [ __ ] created some kind of bullet in Area 51, just for us in Corcoran, California, specifically for us in Corcoran, California. And this bullet was some type of jumbo [ __ ] bullet that flew through the air doing cartwheels and [ __ ] backflips, and then once it entered your body, it was on a timer, and then it blew up and obliterated your [ __ ] insides. That's how he was talking about it. I'm being funny, but honestly, what I think really happened is I think homie got shot and it [ __ ] his leg up so bad that he really believed that he got hit with some type of bullet that blew up on impact.
I think what happened was, and let me just say this, at that time, CDC was talking about introducing new ammunition based on new guns. As a matter of fact, I don't know if this is when they switched over the Mini-14, but I remember they were talking about it because in the way they were justifying it was because other guys that were out there on these yards were getting hit with shrapnel or bullets that were ricocheting off the walls. So this was CDC's way of justifying bringing in this new bullet that wouldn't ricochet and basically it would disintegrate on impact. Whatever it hit, it would, that would be it right there. It wouldn't, it didn't like conventional bullets. Some of them, they'll fly, they'll hit a target, they might even go through somebody and then they'll, they'll go out, they'll go through all the way through somebody and then end up hitting somebody else. That's kind of like what hollow points were made for. Conventional hollow points were made for, you know, to minimize ricocheting and to basically minimize traveling through one body into another. When you get hit with a hollow point, it [ __ ] you up, but it's not gonna travel through you. It, the, the wound that you're gonna, you're gonna endure, you're gonna get from a hollow point is nasty, but that's the reason why they, they created the hollow points.
So I think homie was, was confused. And I didn't go too much into the, the legal aspects of it. I didn't go, you know, tell them to send pictures down to the, this new bullet. It was just, this was something that was, he talked about, and then somebody else was talking about it, and somebody else passed it on to somebody else. Before you know it, it was just getting filtered out to everybody. So I think it was kind of like one of those things where, just like any other rumor or myth that goes around in prison, just like when we were hearing about Pelican Bay when it opened up, we heard that there was a shower that came to the front of your cell and you read all your mail over a TV screen, and it all ended up being [ __ ]. But it was hype. It was hyped up. People, people were hyping that [ __ ] up. So, you know, it's just like any other rumor that, that goes around in prison. Somebody would hear something and then they'll add their little spin to it. Somebody else will add something else to it. And by the time you hear about it, the [ __ ]'s taken out of context and it, it means something entirely different. So I think that's kind of what happened here.
I don't even know if CDC was ever even allowed to bring in the type of bullet that they were proposing or the, you know, this one that the homie was talking about. But I think what he was, when he was confusing it with, is what's called an expansion bullet. That's not the name of the, the, that's not the rightful name. That's not what they call it. I think the, the bullet that, that he was confusing it is a bullet like, so there's a bullet that's called the Winchester Black Talon SXT bullet. I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. For those of you that might want to look it up, look it up again. It's called the Winchester Black Talon SXT. I'm pretty sure that's it. And it's a hollow, it's a hollow point and it's got six pre-scored serrations on the, on the tip, basically six lines. So that just like, you know, when a hollow tip travels through the air, the hollow tip is what makes the bullet expand. But this one, because the way that it's designed with those six pre-scored serrations, it opens up like six petals, almost like a flower or a claw. Matter of fact, on a, on the box, because I've seen them before, I think they have like a bear claw that's, that represents that. And a lot of people think that this is, it's a Teflon bullet because it's black. It's not. Basically, what it is, is it's, it's oxidized copper. That's why people look at it and they call it that, you know, they think it's, it's Teflon. It's, it's misrepresented all the time. That's not what it is.
So I don't even know if CDC was ever even allowed to bring that bullet in. That they had introduced. As far as I know, CDC has never used an expansion type of bullet. But, you know, this was just something that was going on at that time in Corcoran. Anyway.
So the other thing I want to talk about is, I already told you guys what happened with my first cellie, and it didn't surprise me. After we had our first incident, I ended up getting moved. I don't remember where it was. I want to say it was 3B, 3 Left. I can't remember though. I moved around so much and I've been there a couple times. I don't remember. It was 3B, 3 Left, 3B, 3 Right, 4. I know it was either 3 or 4. Anyway, I ended up moving. And like I told you guys, I heard through, through the CEOs over there that, you know, my old cellie ended up basically just locking it up, not going back out to the yard. And it didn't surprise me because I honestly think that when we were set up, he was fishing. You know, if I would have, when he asked me, he claimed he was playing, but when he asked me like, "B, what do you think would happen if we just, we just kicked back, didn't go out, and just went home? You think the homies would find out or you think we'd get in trouble?" That's a crazy question to ask in being in those circumstances. It's just a crazy question to ask. I think if I would have been like, "Yeah, let's, let's go home. Don't trip." He would have been more than happy to be like, "[ __ ] it, yeah, I was hoping that you say that." So it didn't surprise me. Like I told you guys, that's why I didn't have no confidence in that homie. Other than that, I'll say he's good people, but in that situation, I was kind of, kind of happy that we split up and that we both went separate ways. I'm gonna just say that.
So anyway, I get to this new building, and it was, it was like a breath of fresh air to see somebody else that was like-minded. Champ from Fresno. You know, he was with the business. I could tell that he was with it. He was a solid homie. He'd already been shot. He was on walk alone, but, you know, instead of being in the section getting, getting there and not knowing what's going on, here was somebody that was on the same team and was able to tell me, "Hey, this is, this is who's here, this is who's there, and this is what, what time it is over here in this section, and this is what it's like over here, and this is what's happened in the past." Like, he gave me the whole rundown. So it was, it was good to be in that situation like that. I mean, still, still stuck in that, in that war zone, but to be with somebody on the same, like I said, on the same team and be in that situation, it just felt good to have an ally, man. Have a friend right there.
So anyway, I'm gonna say this, and, and this isn't written in stone. It's just something that I've seen over there and that I honestly believe that they were doing. I honestly believe that based on what I seen over there from the, the first section that I was in and moving over here to this new building, it almost seemed like they were strategically housing North Daniels in certain cells by design. They were doing it for a reason because you'd hardly ever see two, two North Daniels like right next to each other. They would, there would be like one North Daniel, and then you'd have like six cells, and then there, there might be another one if you were lucky to have two on the same tier. It was, it was far and few. I'm telling you guys, my, my theory is that is this: we were the minority, we were the aggressors. And I'm not taking [ __ ] away from the Southsiders or the Woods. They were with the business just as much as we were, and they were out there initiating, and they were out there just as, as is, just just like us. They were willing to go out there and stand on the line and be the first ones to be the aggressors. But I just think that Corcoran, the CEOs, the, the administration over there were purposely doing that because instead of, like when they ran yard, instead of running out, say, I was in 101, instead of coming to my door, right to my door and running me out to the yard, they bypassed me and go to 102, and then they take 102, 103, 104, 105, 106. They keep going. Let me get everybody out there, and then they cut, they double back, and then they come and get me. It's like they, all they wanted to run everybody out, get the whole yard out there, and then they run, they run the people out that they knew were gonna get into it.
And, you know, just, just imagine this. So you're in your cell, you know, you're trying to get yourself pumped up, you're trying to get yourself mentally right to go out there on the yards, you know, you're gonna get shot, you're by yourself. You see all this, all this movement, people going out to the yard because over there, again, like I told you guys in episode 31, if you're going to the yard, what's gonna happen is they're gonna come to your cell. They're coming to your cell. Yard, boom. Rodriguez, Mendoza, whatever your name. They're gonna come to your cell. They're gonna pull you out right there, and they're gonna walk you to the front of the section, all the way to, to where there's a door in the front of the section. They're gonna stop you. You're gonna stop right there. They're gonna, that door is gonna shut. Then they're gonna open up. There's like a little trace slot on that door. They open that up. You bend down. They uncuff you right there. You're gonna strip out right there. Hand them all your [ __ ], your your boxers, t-shirts, socks, shoes, all that [ __ ]. You strip right there in front of everybody. Meanwhile, everybody's on their, their gate that's getting ready to go to the yard. They're watching. Everybody's watching all the movement, everything that's going on. So you strip out right there. Instead of putting your socks and all that [ __ ] on, you're just gonna throw your boxers on because you're gonna strip out again once you go around the corner. You're gonna go into like what was like a little sally port. And, you know, you're, if you're going to the yard in a situation like this, you want to see who's out there as soon as you can. You want to see everything that you can. Who's out there? Who's where? Who's who's at the gate? Who's behind the line? Who's in, in the back? So when you're walking up to the door, you can kind of see from like 10 or 15 feet away. There's a, there's two, so there's a, two windows on the door that goes into the sally port and the, the door that goes to the yard. But you can see through both of them like about 10 feet. So you're walking up and you're kind of like looking, you're just making mental notes to everybody that's out there. You're going to the sally port and you're still looking while you're getting uncuffed, right? You see where he's at. Uh, boom, there's my target. Get your cuffs up, strip you out again. I don't know what the [ __ ] the whole reason is for stripping you out twice like this, other than just to humiliate you, make you feel like a less of a man, that they got this kind of power over you. There's no, there's, there's no reason for it. They don't find nothing. They don't see nothing. Nobody has [ __ ]. They hardly ever find a parazo or somebody, somebody holding. They're not gonna see nothing.
So anyway, again, you're, you're in your cell and you're watching everybody go out. So the first time, well, I'm gonna say that. Let me say this real quick. First, one, one other thing that I noticed is, is that it didn't seem like there was any kind of set protocol that the Southsiders or the Woods had for going out to the yard. Like everybody knew that it was on over there. Everybody knew that we were gonna fight out there. Everybody knew what time it was. But like the first yard that I went to with my other cellie, when we went out, one was in the shower, two were on the handball court, and one was getting, like getting tallied, just posted up in the back. Which didn't make sense. It was almost like they went out and then they were just waiting to see how we were gonna react, and then that's how they would react. That, that's what I got from it. If it was a tactic, or I don't know, I couldn't figure it out. Maybe there were, one of them was was trying to drop something, either one in the shower or the one keeping tally. I don't know. But it just didn't seem like there was any protocol. We didn't even have no protocol for us. It was just go out, get off, represent, and continue to go out, get off, and represent every chance you get. Keep going in the yard, keep, keep fighting, keep doing it. We'll eventually get our own yard. So that's what we were being told. If you wanted to go out and you wanted to, if you were the first one out there and you wanted to post up at the checker box and wait for two OPs or three OPs, however, if you wanted to wait for them to come out and then get off on them as soon as they came up, that was on you. If you wanted to come out, go all the way to the end of the yard, pick up a handball and throw the handball around a couple times and wait for them to come out and maybe enjoy your yard and at the end of the yard take off, that was on you. We didn't have no set protocol. It was just go out and get off. So those kind of things, it was open. If that's what you want to do. Me personally, I wanted, if if I was gonna go out there first, I was gonna post up on that line and we're gonna get off as soon as they come up. I'm not letting nobody go to the back. I'm not letting nobody go jump in the shower and give them an opportunity to drop no [ __ ] piece. I'm not gonna do it. So, you know, that was my thing. And that's one of the things that I, I had discussed with my cellie. I had to have a cellie that was on the same page, which I'm gonna get to in a little bit. But, you know, even though there was nothing set in stone as far as us either, my whole thing was like, let's not waste no time. Let's just go out there and get it, man, and come back.
So even when I got to this new section, at first it didn't seem like there was any kind of set procedures that they were implementing at first. But once I moved over there and then later on when I would get a cellie and they seemed that it was on again, because like I said, Chad wasn't going to yard because he was on walk alone, so they weren't worried about him. There was, there was nobody that was getting off over there at that time. So they, they had got complacent and relaxed and weren't even tripping. But once, you know, I got there and then my cellie got there and then, you know, they seen it was on and they had to contend with us being on the tier, then it seemed like they started putting the youngsters on the gate. They made them post up. And I'm gonna get to all that in a minute. But so the first time that I ended up going to yard over there with, with somebody, like I said, they bypassed myself. I was all the way in the corner, and instead of coming to myself, they bypassed me and went. I was like, "Hey, I'm going to yard too." I thought they were forgetting about me or they were overlooking me, but they were like, "No, hey, we're coming back for you. Don't even trip." So they ended up going to the other cells and letting everybody else out on the tier. And there was some Woods, there was some, a couple other Southsiders. I would end up finding out that so there were some youngsters, there were Southsiders that were just Sureños, and then they had three Mexican Mafia members that were in that section. You had Wino and Chorrillo from La Rana, both of them were Mexican Mafia members. Matter of fact, there's, there's four brothers all together, and all four of them are Mexican Mafia members. They're all no good now, but I knew at that time they were active MA members. And then you had another individual that was an older guy named Flaco from Elm Street. He was also a Mexican Mafia member. And I got this confirmed later on when I would get to the Bay. So anyway, the, the Flaco was down the tier on, on the lower tier. So they all go out first. They pull Flaco out. Everybody's out there on the yard. They come back, they get me.
So, you know, I'm in the cell, I'm trying to get myself pumped up. I think I did a couple sets of back arms, some push-ups. Get, I'm trying to get my blood flowing again. I'm, I'm not petrified, but I'm like, you know, I'm, I'm jittery, man. I don't know what's gonna happen. Every time I went out there, I felt the same way. My stomach's bubbling. I don't know if I'm, you know, every day that you go out there could be your last day. That's all you're thinking about. You're thinking about that [ __ ] the whole night. Tomorrow, I got yard. Tomorrow could be the last day. Could be my last day on this Earth. And that's, you're not, this is nothing that you're taking out of context or you're not thinking too much into people getting killed over there. So these are real thoughts that are going through your mind. Like, tomorrow might really be my last day on this [ __ ] Earth. I'm gonna go out there, I'm gonna get off, and I'm gonna put myself in a position where this gunner is can shoot me if that's what he wants to do, and I, I could take a headshot. I don't know. But it's a reality. So those kind of things are going through your mind. You, you're in your picture, and everybody else that's going out there to the yard. So, you know, you're, you're thinking about all that stuff, man. You're thinking about all the homies that that are getting killed over there.
Anyway, so I go out. When they bring me out, as soon as I, I come out, I strip out. But as soon as I come out and I'm walking towards the yard, I'm already looking to see who's where. You can see a bunch of people are playing handball, and the yard looks full, even though it's not really technically full, but there's just a lot of movement out there. So anyway, there was one Sangre that was on the tier, one blood, and his thing was like, "Hey, check this out, man. I got you guys. I got you guys back. You guys go out there. If it's a one-on-one, I'ma let you guys go. Somebody else, they try to pack you out, I got you guys back. Don't trip." And I'm gonna get into the black staff picanos a little bit more in a little bit. But so he was out there. There was one Sangre out there. At least I had one ally out there.
Anyway, I go out there and I see him posted up. The, the, the Sangre, he's posted up kind of like by where the checker box is. And I'm trying to look and see where Flaco's at, and he was out there watching the handball, watching the handball game, and he's just leaning up against the wall. He's got his arms crossed, and he's just watching the handball game. So I'm, I'm confused again, man. I'm like, especially, I would expect more from from any metal that, like these guys are, are just like us. Well, at that time, I was just their model, but still, these guys are supposed to be like, this is the best of the best. So how come, how come he's not posted up on the gate? It doesn't look like he's really aware of his surroundings, or I don't know, maybe he is, but he's just, he looks too relaxed to me. So I'm looking at him. I get uncuffed, I go through all the motions. And now there's, there's one thing I want to say. So at that time, they're giving you jab flaps. For those of you guys that don't know what jab flaps are, man, they're black karate type of shoes, and they got like a brown bottom, and the bottom is, is like a waxy plastic. They're [ __ ] garbage, man. They're, if you wear those things, you don't get no traction, and you're gonna slip and slide everywhere. They're real bad. But here's the thing. So like some homies were, what they would do is they tie them up. They take, they make a hole in each side, and they take two pieces of a sheet, a strip, like some shoelaces, and they tie them up real tight so that they stay on their feet, but they're still slippery. They don't got no traction. Me myself, I'd rather just fight barefoot. Those things are more of a liability than anything. So my thing was, I used to just put them on my feet and then I would just kick them off because here's the thing: if you walked out of that, if you walked out of that yard yard door holding your, your, your jet flaps, and they weren't on your feet, you were basically, you were giving yourself away right there. This dude's gonna get off or he's gonna fight with somebody because he's not wearing his shoes. So you don't want to tip your hand. You don't want to advertise yourself, man. So that's what I was doing. I would just put, put my feet in them, I'd be stepping on the back of them so that I could just kick them off real fast, and I'd be up out of them, be barefoot like a [ __ ] Neanderthal. Anyway.
So, foreign, real quick, I kind of like turn sideways in my, my, uh, peripheral vision where I can see the gunner. I look up at the gunner. I can see him up there. I can see the gun on the window. This motherfucker's ready because he, he already knows. But I don't just see the one, the gunner that, that's normally up there. I look, when I look up, I can see like five other faces up there. There's like five other CEOs from other buildings that just came over there to watch. That's what they do. There's alarms going off every day, and there's fights all day. So they're going from building to building, watching, betting. This is just, this is a start right here. This is, this is only like my second yard. But anyway, so I shake, I shake the, the Sangre's hand. I watch, I do a bee-line straight towards Flaco, just like I was gonna do in Susanville to Jasper and Chino. As soon as I get over to Flaco, as soon as I get over there, I kick my shoes off and I'm on him. And, you know, I'm not, I'm not putting two and two together. I'm not trying to sound tough, but I dusted the dude off, man. I don't even think he probably got any more than like two punches. He swung and he caught nothing but air. He was an older guy, and like I said, he was out of shape. So they busted, they busted with Bertha twice, and we got down, and that was it. It was, it was as simple as that. I mean, he, he squared up and he tried to fight. He swung back, but I, I cracked him about three times, and it was over. It was done. So that was the second one.
Now, let me say this too. Out of all the, the, the fights that I got in, for the most part, everybody that I got in with was respectful and they never talked [ __ ]. It was, it was just business. It was like everybody knew what time it was. And when I told you guys like in episode 31 how it was a little different from the Bay, that's true, but there was still a level of respect. They were still, you know, we still gave each other respect. I still respected manuals, I respected him as our adversaries. And for the most part, most of them gave their respect back. If they needed coffee, I had coffee. If they needed some, some reading material, I gave him reading material. I had been at the Bay, so I was used to that. And there was still, there was still that respect over there in Corcoran. But I'm gonna say this, Flaco was the only one, and this was in the metal, he talked a bunch of [ __ ] after, after we got into it. It was like, "You [ __ ] farmer, old piece of [ __ ], wait till the next one on." What, you know what I mean? He just, homeboy was talking gang and [ __ ]. I didn't say nothing back. I just kind of like looked at him and laughed. You know, I didn't, I didn't engage in it. That's not what we were supposed to do. That's not how we conducted ourselves. So eventually he got over it. The old man was pissed off, probably for the rest of the day, but after that, you know, I'm sure he, he got over it. So that was the first time.
Now, right after that, probably, probably within, so I got 10 days until I get ready to go to my next yard. And let me just say this, within those 10 days, now, so I got 10 days to basically heal. I got hit with the Bertha when I was fighting with Flaco. I got hit in the back or something. You know, I could feel it. I couldn't see it. Didn't know what it looked like, but I knew that I got hit with it. I could feel it when I get up in the morning, like I caught a good one in the back. So 10 days. I knew it was gonna be 10 before I got ready to go back out. It was all about, I get to kick back for 10 days, relax, and just, I don't have to trip off [ __ ]. So I, you know, I'm gonna spend these next 10 days working out, getting myself ready for the next yard.
So right after the first incident, I have a Flaco, I ended up getting lucky. I got set up with the good homie from Oakland named Shadow. This was somebody that I had been in Quentin with. I had done time with him over there. It was, matter of fact, it was somebody that I kind of took a liking to where we were supposed to hook up on the streets, and then that never happened. But it was somebody that, he was a good homie, solid homie. So he ended up moving in. And again, it felt, it felt good to be around somebody that was like myself. When, as soon as homie came over, he came from another section. As soon as he came over there, he was telling me about everything that was happening in that section. So anyway, when, when me and, uh, when me and Shadow end up selling up, you know, he's telling me about all the homies that were over there, what was going on in their section, who was over there putting it down, some of the incidents that were happening on the yard. One of the first things I asked him was like, "Well, what's the, the, is, what's the protocol over there? You guys, what have you guys been hearing?" And again, it was just, "Go out, continue to go out, and keep going out and representing, and you guys will eventually get our yard." That was the whole objective was to get our own yard. So again, there was no protocol set for us. It was however we wanted to do it. But getting a new cellie, I wanted to sit down with the homie and make sure we were on the same page because me myself, I wanted to make sure that we were on the same page as far as like how we went to yard. I didn't want to let anybody come out and and walk to the back of the yard or get in the shower. My thing was, is if we go out first, we're gonna post up on that checker line and we're taking flight. My whole thing was is I wanted to make sure that we were on the same page as far as like, I wasn't gonna let nobody come out there and get in the shower or play handball. My thing was, let's just get on that. If we get out there first, let's get on that checker box and let's get busy as soon as they come up. If we end up going out last, let's make a bee-line from the door straight to our targets and and take care of business as soon as we get out there because again, the longer that you allow yourself to be out there or you allow other people to be out there, the more of a chance you're taking of somebody dropping a piece, and I wasn't gonna put myself in that position. Uh, my thing was, as soon as I get out there, I'm getting off. So I wanted to make sure Flaco was on, or I want to make sure Shadow was on the same page, and he was. He was on the same page. He was like, "Yeah, that's, that's basically how we were doing it over there in the other section. It was like, if we go out first, we post up, and when they, as soon as they come out, we're getting with them. If we go out last, we're walking straight to our targets. You take that one, I'll take this one, and we'll go."
And now the other thing is this. A lot of times when we got out there on the yard, there, there could have been like three other Woods out there, and there could have been like six Sureños. They weren't packing us out. They were letting us go one-on-one or two-on-two. What's the purpose of packing somebody up? There's no purpose in it. So they were given, they were giving us that respect. And I'm sure if there were ever a pond where the, the North Daniels were deeper, they were getting that same respect. That's just something that was happening over there, and that's something that I would end up seeing later. And, you know, I recognized that that was, you know, that was respectable. They, they kept it respectable. Anyway.
So I don't want to get too graphic, but, you know, I told you guys about one of the homies that was up there educating other people on, uh, how to, how to get razor blades out to the yard. One of the homies that had been there in the past had trained some of the, you know, some of the homies how to swallow razor blades and how to bring it back up, and how to tie a string to it, you know, tie a string to your tooth and then pull it back up. And there was all kind of [ __ ]. I never done nothing like that, but, you know, if you wanted to bring a weapon out there to the yard and hit one of these other guys that was on you. That's the fastest way to get yourself on walk alone and basically end your, your yard. You're going out with these guys because if you, you stab somebody, you slice somebody, that was it. They'd take you to committee, and you're on walk alone, and definitely. And so, but that was, that was everybody had, you know, an option to do that if they wanted to do it. Now, again, I don't want to get too graphic, but let me just say this. So, you know, here, here's my thing. It only takes, it only takes about two or three minutes to drop a weapon. And that's, that was my whole reason why, you know, I didn't want to let these guys come out there or go out to a yard and waste any time pussy-footing around. Just go out there and get them off the yard as soon as we go out because, you know, just like they were bringing weapons out, we were bringing weapons out too. And unless you have a lot of practice, it's hard to drop a weapon fast. Some, some cats can do it. Some cats got a lot of practice. They're able to drop up, you know, from the time that you are in the sally port. And I know homies that they've done this when they were in the sally port and they, they stripped out, when they were getting the cuffs back on, the weapon was already coming out. It was already like halfway up. I can't do that. I can't do it. Never even tried. But, you know, there's, there's certain things that we used to do that some of the homies used to do, and you're, you're taught this kind of stuff, how to clean yourself out in the morning so that you, you know, and again, I'm not trying to be too graphic, so it, you don't end up having a mess when you're pulling a parazo out. You know, you get up in the morning, you take soap and water, clean yourself out. You can use coffee, and basically, what one of, one of the other methods that some of the homies were using because it's hard to drop up, to drop a weapon like that, like I said, to to drop it fast, but with some of the homies, we're doing is this right here. So, and they weren't the badassos that we were taking out, weren't nothing like this. They weren't this size. This is just an example. So the weapons that we were taking out on these kind of yards or in ADT yards, they're gonna usually, they're only gonna be about this big. So from my finger up, that's about how big they're gonna be. Like that right there. You're gonna have your point and just a little bit of stock so that you can hold it. And you're gonna hold it like this. So the weapon's gonna sit on top of this finger like this. It's gonna sit on top of that so that when you're stabbing somebody, it's got something behind it that's reinforcing it. It's not gonna slide back in your hand. And then you got nothing but just a tip sticking out. So anyway, what we used to do is on the bottom of the, the stock, we used to make a little, a groove, like we make a little serrated groove at the very bottom, a line all the way around it. So then we've got like a nice little thick groove. You take a string, like you take about 10 strands from your sheet, and you tie it inside that groove real tight. And then you take your toilet paper and you put it on the tip of your, your, your, your butaso, and you wrap it up with cellophane so that, you know, your, your tip is protected. And all you got basically is just a piece of, just a, a small wad. It looks like a small wad of toilet paper that's that's covered in plastic. And then you got the string hanging up. So basically, what you would do is you take that, you would put it in your man wallet, you would, you would put it in, you, you kissed her that. And then take the string and you ball it up and then you kind of just tuck it. You tuck it in so that once you got out there on the yard, you could reach down, just reach in, grab the string, and then just kind of just kind of release, release, relax your stomach and pull, and it would come up, come out. No mess, no problems. Boom, you got your betaso. You rip off the [ __ ] tip, and you're gone. It's just like that. Like I said, some homies, man, they got that [ __ ] down. They got it down packed where they can do it fast. Almost like just, bam, bam, bam, bam, done. I was, I'd never been able to get it down like that. I'm not gonna lie. That was one thing that it was just wasn't my thing to be [ __ ] trying to kiss your weapons. Sometimes it was absolutely necessary, and, you know, nobody likes doing it, but sometimes it's a matter of survival.
And let me say this. One of the, one of the, one of the viewers asked this question in the comments, and I'm gonna address it right here because this is something I want to cover for the rescue that might have seen this comment. So basically, what this viewer asked me was, is, he asked me about something that I said in episode 31, weren't worm? I said that I can't, when we came in, I realized that I made a critical mistake by identifying our affiliation to our neighbors when they asked us, you know, where we came from. And I basically identified us as being Nortenos and we came from San Quentin. And I only realized this once it was too late, once they didn't offer back like, "Hey, okay, we're Southsiders. Okay, uh, we're North Daniels." Once they didn't offer that information back, I realized then that that's some, that that I [ __ ] up. And my, my cellie at that time, the one that I was first settled up with, he didn't even catch it. But I didn't expect him to either. He was, he was oblivious to what was going on. I'm like, "[ __ ] bro, I just [ __ ] up." And he's like, "What happened?" And I'm like, "Bro, you didn't hear that?" But he still didn't catch it. I'm like, "Bro, she in the [ __ ] told him that we were North Daniels." Because look, the viewer also, you also made a, a statement basically saying that, you know, if you wouldn't have identified yourself, wouldn't that be considered ranking out? I mean, wouldn't that be considered a cowardice act? And like I responded in the comments, like I told the viewer that said that in the comments, look, this, this isn't about ranking out. This isn't about street gang bang mentality. This is about survival in the penitentiary. And if you're gonna apply those type of, you know, that type of mentality to a situation like this, you're gonna be on borrowed time. It's all about strategy, tactics, and information. Those are weapons. You can weaponize those things in a situation like this. Those guys in there were, were using, you know, they were basically, they weren't identifying themselves because it was an advantage to them. It kept me guessing. It kept us guessing. Me and myself, we didn't know who was who. We didn't know if they were, we had to figure it out. But they knew who we were because I identified, I identified it. So, you know, it, I didn't, I don't think it was committing an act of cowardice because I didn't throw my hood up and represent my hood. It's not about that. You know, that's, that's C.Y.A. [ __ ]. No, I'm not saying that in any kind of way to be disrespectful to, uh, the viewer that said that because I respect you. You sound like a good homie. The rest of your comment was on point, and I appreciate it. All I'm saying though, is that, you know, the, the gang bang mentality, you got to leave that out there because that's not the right type of mentality to have to be in a situation like this. I don't know if you've ever been in a war zone, but, you know, everything is to your advantage. Everything you can use to your advantage in a situation like this is to your advantage. Straight up. Information, again, like I said, it can be weaponized. You can use it against somebody or it can use it to your advantage. So, so anyway, the next yard that I would end up going to was Shadow. The first time that we went out to the yard together, it was, so they ran it the same way. They bypassed us and they got everybody else out there on the yard. They even bypassed Flaco. They bypassed him and then they went and got Torio and his brother Wino, and they let them out. Then they let Flaco out. So there was three of them out there now. So that, I looked at my cellie right away and I was like, "Okay, so that, we got three of them out there, but more than likely, we're gonna probably end up getting into it with the two brothers, the two, uh, two other emos." So just Shadow was a, was just a regular sized homie. I was, I was a little bit bigger, I was healthier. So Wino was bigger out of him and his brother. He was bigger than his brother Torio. So I told, I told my cellie, "I got Wino, you take Torio." Anyway, when we go out there, we strip out, we go into the little sally port, and right away I see them. They're like, again, they're not posted up on the yard door. They're kind of like, they're not in the middle of the yard. They're kind of by the shower. So I look at my cellie after he strips out and he's getting his cuffs on. I tell him, "Hey, you go right, I'ma go left." Because Torio was standing on the right and his brother was standing on the left. So anyway, we go out there. I rush Wino, he rushes. We start getting them up the yard. There was a bunch of people out.
There, so the yard just kind of like all pushed to the back of the yard. And again, I swear, I swung around, I swung around Wino so that I could get the, the control, the, the Gunner to his back. This way, I could see him and the Gunner at the same time. Anyway, again, it's over quick. These things don't go the distance. They're over in 20 to 30 seconds. They already know we're gonna fight. They're already on the ready. When that door opens up, they're basically already pulling the trigger. We're running out and we're going straight at our targets and they're just, they're firing. Wow. Wow. But the day, the day that they ran us out, I'm gonna say this, I noticed that there was a lot more activity. There was a lot more officers that were in the control booth before they ran us out. Again, they're up there watching. They came over to our building to watch and then they would go to the next building and watch them. They knew what was going on.
So anyway, when we're still in the sally port, we're still in the sally port. I get my cuffs off first. Marcely's getting his cuffs up. I'm on the, I'm already on the gate. I'm on the, the door looking through the window. I see both of these individuals. They're not, it's not like they're looking over at the door to see who's coming out next. They're kind of standing sideways though, but they're just, it still wasn't what I expected. Anyway, the door opens up. I walk straight out. When I start walking towards Wino, he turns and looks and I don't get a chance to get up on him before he, he turns and squares up. You see me coming, so he turns, we square up, we start fighting. Adam at the side of my vision, I can see that Shadows already getting into it with Joriel. He rushed, he just went straight from the door, just went, went out, rushed to Joriel. So they're already fighting. I swing around Wino so that I can get his back to the tower so I can watch the tower and him at the same time. We start going at it. We're going at it.
So anyway, again, I'm not gonna lie, man. I'm, I'm gonna keep it real with you guys. There was no deciding winners, but I felt good about the way that the way it went between me and Wino. I felt like I got the better, I was the better man that day, straight up. Marcely, he felt like he was the better man against Joriel. He's like, you know, when we got back in the show, he was like, bro, I got that fool. He was like, whoa, whoop, I did this. You know, he swung a couple times, he missed, but I was on him and it was over. It was over just that fast.
Now, 10 days go by. 10 days end up going by and we end up going back out to the yard. And I'm, I'm shooting fast forward real fast because I want to bring the, the end of this episode real quick so that I can go on to the next one. But so we go back out again. The same three individuals. Flacco goes out there and I, I know Flacco was not going to get involved or I knew that it wasn't going to be like, they weren't gonna let me fight with Flacco or let my celly fight with Flacco and then the other one fights with whoever, Joriel or Wino, because he was an older guy. So these, I knew we were going to go back at it with these two same individuals. And I told myself, I'm gonna go back here. Why? You go back at you, Joriel. So we, once again, they let them out first. So it was almost identical to what happened the first time, except this time they, they knew we were coming and they knew what to expect. It was, it was a little different as far as that part. So it's like they were standing back and they were posted up, but they weren't posted up at the line. They were like towards the middle of the yard. So I walked straight, I'm just walking straight to Wino. I walked straight to Wino. I kicked my shoes off and like I said, I rushed Wino. And as soon as I turned around, as soon as I turned to go sideways, I caught a [ __ ] the block gun straight to the eye. [ __ ] hits me in my eye, it busts my eye open and I can't see [ __ ]. I got blood in my eye and Wino seeing that you've seen I was at a disadvantage and he got on me eventually. I think so he gets on me, he cracks me, he ends up dropping me. It was, he didn't drop me because he knocked me out. It was, I couldn't see [ __ ] and it's just the way it is, man. You know, I feel like I got the best of them the first time, but the second time, honestly, I felt like I took an L based on the fact that he sat me down and that's just the way it was. My eye was [ __ ] up. I had to get three stitches on my eye, three or seven stitches, one of one of the two. But, you know, I caught the block gun in my, it hit me straight in the face and that [ __ ] felt like a baseball bat. I don't know if any of you ever been hit with the block gun, but it's the last place you want to get hit with the block gun is in the face because it's going to cut you open for one. Their little pieces of of wood, so you're gonna get busted open for one. But it's, it's like those little [ __ ] be traveling fast, man, and they hit hard. So anyway, I caught it. I caught that [ __ ] straight to the [ __ ] side of my face. One of them hit me above my eye, split my [ __ ] open and oh boy. Got um, so, you know, I'm sure he felt like he was the better man that day and, you know, I didn't go in with my [ __ ] head down, my my chin in my chest, but I felt like I felt like I just wasn't wasn't happy with the way that that, you know, you you're going out there, you want to make sure that you represent your team the way that you want to represent your team and there was just something that happened. You know, if if people looked at it like I took an L, then I took an L. You know, it's it's all good. Every every soldier got to take an L. You got to be able to take an L just like you take a win. But, you know, it was the second time that we ended up getting off with those, you know, with those two and that was be the last time that we ended up getting off with with the children and selling. But like I said, there was four of them. All four of them were Mexican Mafia members and all four of them are no good. Now, but this is probably a good place to end this episode right here. There's some other things that I want to I want to touch on in the next episode. I'm gonna talk a little bit more about some of the other things that were going on over there in in Corcoran. Well, let me let me just say this. So there's two things I want to I want to touch on real quick, real quick. And one is this, like I've talked about the alliance that we had with the Afrikanos over there and I got nothing but love for the Afrikanos. I grew up with a lot of them. A lot of them I know from the city. I used to go to school with them. So I didn't really didn't want to touch on this too much, but it's something that happened. So I'm gonna talk about it. The Afrikanos were with us. Jama and the Sangras, the Bloods, they were with us till the end. The Crips at one point, you know, they basically their position was, look, that's doesn't involve us and, you know, we're not going to get involved. We're not going to get involved with it. It doesn't it doesn't pertain to us. That's your guys's politics. So they step back. Now, at that time, I was just a guppy. I was just a young NR member. I was still, I'm still growing. But because they took that position, they also became adversaries. Unfortunately, it came from leadership. Didn't come from me. It was nothing that I wanted to happen. It was an unfortunate circumstance. Luckily, we didn't have no Crips in our section, but we were, we were being told to take off on the Crips as well. The, the directive came out over there that basically said that, look, the Crips, they're stepping back, they're no longer our allies, they don't want to be a part of what's going on. And initially they were, but then they, whatever reason, they stepped back. So we were being told from this point on, if you guys get a chance, just start taking off on them too. So there were some homies that were put in sections with with some Crips over there and unfortunately, that's what they were doing. They started taking off on some of the Crips.
Well, there's actually two things I want to touch on. So I'm not going to mention who who this was. I'm not going to mention the name of this individual. You guys know I've talked about this this individual before and I'm just gonna say this, these leadership, he's part of leadership and I'm just not gonna throw them out there, but he was over there at this time. He had a brother. They're both C's and that's all I'm gonna say. Now, Joe Morgan was was also in Corcoran and we were all, everybody was told, everybody knew who Joe Morgan was. Everybody was basically told too, if we got action and getting them to go out there and thrash him, that's what we were being told. There were two individuals that were in the section where Joe Morgan was and they went out to the yard with him and nothing happened. Nothing happened. These, these were brothers too, meaning biological brothers, but they were also Carnas too, as well. They went out there with him and like you're waiting for an alarm to go off, nothing went, nothing happened. An hour later, still nothing happened. And at the end of the day, they ran yard back in. Now, all I'm gonna say is, people, you know, some of the homies that were there, they filed reports on this once they got up to the bay and nothing was ever done about it. For those of you that have been the Corcoran, for those of you that have been there, for those of you that are familiar with everything that happened over there, you guys know who I'm talking about. I'm not gonna put them out there because he's still active and he is still part of leadership, but it happened. Hey, I'm sure some of you will be trying to guess, you'll you'll never figure it out. And if you do, you'll be like, what? Oh hell no. But I'm just gonna leave that alone. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna go there.
Anyway, two two other things real quick before I close this part up. So, you know, once once we started going to the yard and like I I keep telling you guys that it didn't seem like they had any kind of set protocol. One of the things that they started doing that I ended up noticing is they started eventually they started putting people on the gate. They started putting the young Suranos on the checker box and they would always give themselves up. I would always be able to figure out who it was going to be just based on watching their demeanor, their body language, their their eye contact or lack of eye contact. So I would always be the one at the door, even with my new selling. I just wanted this. I wanted to be the one to to read everybody, to watch everybody go out, to to get a visual on on everybody. And, you know, for the most part, the the cats that we'd already been out there with, they wouldn't even look over towards ourselves. They because they knew they weren't going to be involved. They just go to the front, strip out and just go on about their business. But the youngsters would come out, the youngsters that I knew that they were going to put on the gate would come out. You could tell they were all hyped up. They were they were nervous, just like us, because they knew they were going to go out there and they were going to have to fight. But what they would do is watching them, they would always look over at ourselves. And as soon as they would look over at ourselves, I knew that that was the sign right there that they were the ones that were going to be put on the gate. I knew it. And almost every time I was right because I would tell myself, bro, that's that's that's who they're putting on the gate, such and such, such and such. And sure enough, when we go out there and we look through the window, that's what was out there on the gate. So that's something else that would eventually happen that I noticed. It's just something else that I took notice of and it's something that I keyed in on. I'm just watching.
Now, one of the last things that I'm going to talk about before I close this up is is this. So I can't emphasize enough how much some of those CEOs over there were sympathizing. They were either sympathizing with the Northerners or the Southerners, straight up. It was it was crazy, man. The the female officers, if they, a lot, because you guys got to understand this, a lot of them had family from Southern California. A lot of them had family from Northern California, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, whatever. So they really did have an allegiance to either the Northerners or the Southerners. If there was a female CEO that sympathized with the Southerners and you asked for a roll of toilet paper, you didn't get, you didn't have [ __ ] coming. And it was the same way with female CEOs that sympathize with Northerners. They would, you know, for Southsiders or ask for some toilet paper or something, they just ignore them. And it was, it was funny, man, the way that they would signify their allegiances. Like the female officers would wear either little blue scrunchies or a little red themed scrunchies in their hair. That's how you [ __ ] knew right there. There was a CEO over there named Hernandez. Straight North Daniel. Identified himself as a Nortana. He was from Fresno. This dude was was straight with the business. He would come in and he would almost act like he was a homie. What's up? I know what's up, homie. You know what I'm saying? Uh, um, he introduced himself as Hernandez and in due time, you know, just from talking to him, he's like, yeah, I'm a straight North Daniel. My whole family or North Daniels. We bang that [ __ ]. We believe in that [ __ ]. So this this guy Hernandez would actually go out to the parking lot and he would fight with these other CEOs that were Surano sympathizers in the yard. I mean, in the in the parking lot. He'd tell us he's like, man, I threw down last night with uh with CEO such and such because he's a [ __ ] enthusa [ __ ]. He used a derogatory term, straight up. You know, and the other night he was out there, he was running his [ __ ] miles. So I was like, well, what's up then? We start getting him up in the parking lot. It's crazy, man, how the CEOs over there sympathize. And, you know, you you if they didn't wear colors that signified their allegiance, you you know, when they would be passing out food, the trays or whatever, so you'd ask them for something at your door and they really wouldn't say nothing. They'd be kind of standoffish. But then you'd hear them go to the neighbor and the neighbor would be Southsiders and as soon as they get over there, be like, hey, what's up? Uh, what's up, little Joker? Hey, man, did you watch that Dodger game last night? Hey, dog, them [ __ ] them [ __ ] look good, huh? What about the pitcher? That you know, you hear them chopping it up with them. Be like, damn, straight up. You know, so we that's how we would know where they stood, who who they were aligned with. And that became important. It became important to know these things because some of those CEOs started playing games. I'm gonna talk about how all this stuff ended up coming to an end. Probably an episode. I probably end up doing one or two more episodes on this. And then there's, you know, after so many fights, I would end up getting put on walk alone. And that was it. I'd end up turning a 12-month violation into almost 18 months.
