This is irresponsible nonsense. Only an absolute idiot could formulate such a thing. >> Why is someone a billionaire at 30, and someone else can't even earn 100,000 rubles at 30? >> In seven out of ten cases, this quick money leads a person to quick problems. >> What if a person has fallen into a crisis, has debts, and nothing is working out, what should be done in such a case? >> The life of an entrepreneur who is constantly growing is always pain. What is the most important mistake an entrepreneur makes at the start of their journey, which ruins them and plunges them into debt? >> If we talk about the key difference in a general sense. >> Friends, today we have on the podcast Grigory Ovettov, an entrepreneur, candidate of economic sciences, founder of the company Megacampus. This is a person who organizes the world's largest lecture events. Within this podcast, we have analyzed how young people aged 20 to 35 can achieve financial results as quickly as possible. Why does someone at 30 have a Lamborghini, an apartment, a beautiful wife, and three children, while someone else at 30 rides the subway for a salary of 80,000 rubles? And this podcast is the answer to the question: how to move into the camp of those who, at 30-35 years old, have everything materially that you only write about in your wish book. Enjoy watching. I guarantee that this turned out to be a maximally useful, applicable, and interesting conversation with such a wonderful guest. Let's go, Grigory. Within this podcast, I want to analyze the situation. Suppose a young man aged 20-25-30, who does not have the proper financial result, earns 100,000-200,000 rubles per month. And there are people at this moment who earn a million, 5-10 million. Here is our podcast. I want to create instructions for our dear viewers. What distinguishes a financially successful, material person from a person who, unfortunately, has not achieved financial results? Well, let's start in order. Firstly, it is important that money and capital have a truly important significance in a person's life and are a measure in the case if he is engaged in entrepreneurship. It is in this case that it is truly a measure of your success and result, because it is very strange to be a poor entrepreneur, because it means that your business is very small, and this, in turn, means that a series of your decisions turned out to be erroneous. Why do I say this? Because there are many professions in which a person can realize himself, be incredibly successful, and his success is not equal to the presence of capital. You can be an incredible deputy head of a hospital, a deputy head doctor of a hospital, who is empathetic, helps newly arrived patients, and relieves a huge nervous burden from relatives, friends, and family, and treats his work as a calling. and goes home happy because he received a lot of gratitude from the saved people. And at the same time, this person most likely does not have capital in our understanding of the meaning. But is he less successful in life because of this? Has he achieved less? I don't think so. I believe that success in many, in most professions, with the exception of entrepreneurship and business, with the exception of what I do, for example, is not always related to capital. And I don't like the phrase: "If you're so smart, why are you so poor?" I don't like this phrase. I think there are a huge number of smart people, dedicated to their work, involved in creativity, in music, in medicine, in physics, in engineering, who have not managed to form capital throughout their lives, but this does not mean that they are unsuccessful in their field. And I know many such people. Yes, of course, my musician friend, who fills stadiums, earns less than my friend who is a seller on Wildberries. Much less. The net profit is incomparable. Well, I can't say that he is less successful in life, and I am more drawn to him than to the seller on Wildberries. to that very guy. He is much more interesting to me, he is deeper, he is more erudite, he is more cultured, in the end. And the result of his activities is much more obvious, much more visible. And I believe that he is a truly successful person. Therefore, answering your question, I would like to draw attention to the fact that there are areas where people give their all not for capital and can be incredibly successful there. It's just that we have fallen into some erroneous matrix, primarily due to social networks, in which money is the only measure of success. The only one. This is not correct. This is wrong. If we, for example, recall what happened 35 years ago, then money 35-40 years ago, then money was not at all a measure of success in society. A professor, if you are, that's a measure of success in the field. Here you are in Moscow, you are a professor. That's it. >> Everyone wanted to win a Nobel Prize. >> A professor, right? Or a grandmaster. You are a grandmaster in the Union. That's a grandmaster. No questions asked. But why was it like that? Why were there respected professions? Because belonging to a profession immediately gave you respect in the eyes of observers, because you spent a lot of time on education. You spent 6 or 8 years just getting an education. You studied for 5 years at a conservatory, and before that, your whole life in a music school. and you are a musician, and you play at the conservatory, and this immediately gives you a huge amount of reverence from those around you. And, of course, the main reason is that in the Soviet Union there were no, for example, if we are talking about our territory, there were no, for example, Patriks. They existed, but they were called differently. And there were no interviews on Patriks, and there were no Reels. And there was no need to invent hooks for social networks. And it wasn't invented yet that money is a good hook. And it wasn't widespread. Any hook had to be related to money, and any question had to be related to how much you earn. And this is the only measure of your success. Well, this is not the case for a huge number of professions. Now we set aside all this history related to all professions, except for one: the entrepreneur. And for an entrepreneur, the most important thing is how much he earns, because this determines the success of his entrepreneurial path. When I say how much he earns, it's not necessarily the net profit that you distribute to your card. It's money that can be expressed in the valuation of your business, in the valuation of your company. We know examples of entrepreneurs who worked for 10-15 years only for the capitalization of their business. And the first cash-outs, that is, the sale of shares, occurred when the business was already worth 1 billion dollars. Only from that moment did they start selling 5-10% of their company and earning big money, and before that, they simply paid themselves a market salary. You go to the gym, probably. >> I go to the gym. >> You've probably noticed that you can only get results if you do one very important thing. Without this thing, without this action, there will be no result, even if you go to the gym regularly for many years. This thing is called >> recovery, nutrition, sleep. >> That's all true, but the most important thing is the regular increase in load. >> Also true. >> And if you don't increase the load, there will be no progress. You can go to the gym all your life and bench press your 65 kg lying on your chest, without trying to increase it. This means that as a consequence, your muscles will not receive micro-traumas, there will be no growth, nothing will happen if you do not increase the load. Increasing the load is the very necessary element of your professional evolution in the gym. You must increase the load. I often get a question from a subscriber. The question is: "Grigory, I have been going to work for 25 years, working in this position, and nothing is happening in my life, my income is not increasing, my career is not growing, nothing is happening." The right question that this person should ask himself is, is he regularly increasing the level of complexity? Is he regularly increasing his load? The main problem that people often face is working on autopilot. How does this happen in practice? In practice, it happens very simply. You leave home, get in the car, drive to work, and since you've been doing this for many years, you don't even remember this route. You don't think about whether to turn right or left. You don't think about whether to go now. You do everything automatically. And half an hour or an hour of your life passes like a moment. You don't even think about it. This is how people live for decades. 10 years pass like a moment. He doesn't think about it. Your key task is to regularly conduct a review. Are you increasing the load? Have you increased the level of complexity? Have you encountered new insurmountable obstacles in your life? Let me give myself as an example. Last year, I radically increased the level of complexity of the tasks I was solving. For example, as one example. I increased both the scale of the project and, uh, sports by several parameters. As one example, I decided that I would conduct all interviews in English and make the global project entirely in English. At the same time, I did not know English. Thus, I increased the level of complexity, thanks to which, although I disgraced myself, I managed to learn English by the time the project was implemented, which increased my professional resume. If I, for example, were applying for a job somewhere, instead of doing business, this item on my resume would increase the value of my capitalization. Therefore, if we talk about the key difference in a general sense, we exclude luck, chance, all that from the equation, the key difference is the regular increase in the level of complexity. If you start increasing the level of complexity of tasks every quarter, not every day, every quarter or every six months, at 25 years old, you will see incredible progress within a year. And at 26, looking back at 25, you will understand that yes, there is progress, because it is important for our viewers to measure progress not by month or half-year, but by year. Just remember yourself a year ago and say, were you better or worse then? Almost everyone will say that you were worse. And now you are a year older and a year more aware, smarter, more successful, with a greater professional baggage. >> Friends, I record podcasts with various opinion leaders for this channel. These are entrepreneurs, doctors, niche experts, market leaders. If you want to become a participant in this podcast, just write to me in Telegram in private messages. We will discuss all the conditions. I am currently forming a list of guests for the next episodes. And enjoy watching. And if everyone says that you have become better, smarter, but the result on your bank account has not changed. If the income was X, then after a year it became X, for example. If you regularly increase the level of complexity, which entails, and you take on this level of complexity, which entails an increase in professional, intellectual, spiritual, which is also very important, your qualities and characteristics, this will definitely be reflected in your bank account. Definitely >> within a year. within a year, two or three, it doesn't matter, because for you at 25, 3 years will pass approximately in one day. Tomorrow you will see that there was a podcast yesterday and you were 25, and today you are already 28. This is nothing. So waiting three or 5 years is nothing. In general, as a rule, the normal cycle for a person is 5 years. Quick result, quick money. You need to work in cryptocurrency. You know how this meme goes, uh, that's it, I work in cryptocurrency. Quick money, it's certainly beautiful, easy, quick money, but it's more of a beautiful offer for a very tired girl who opened Instagram, saw this offer, and bought some course. But not for life. For life, quick and easy money is often associated with reputational losses, with consequences, with the inability to provide services in the proper volume. Big substantial capital. The path to them, unfortunately, lies through some accumulation of knowledge and professional experience. This is a necessity. I understand that we live in a very fast time, a time in which we consume huge gigabytes of information, and we want it quickly, we want to earn money immediately. But the experience that I have, which I see around, suggests that in seven out of ten cases, this quick money leads a person to quick problems, to seven out of ten. >> And what about the three out of ten cases that remain, the person definitely thinks: "I will get into these 30%." It is very important not to count on, uh, the smaller chances. >> You have to slap your own hands. >> I don't know who among the viewers plays poker. >> I play. I'm not a viewer, but I'm a podcast participant. I play. >> You probably hardly act when your chances of success are minimal. Yes, >> in poker you calculate. And when you've calculated 51%, you start acting based on the fact that you supposedly have 51%. It would be strange to act when I have 30%, excellent chances. Let's go. It would be strange. In life, it's exactly the same. Of course, you can rely on rare exceptions, but this is not a very reasonable life strategy. A reasonable life strategy is to increase your chances every day. Increase your chances, look where most people succeed, not where a minority succeeds, and the majority sits, >> for example, >> literally or figuratively. I want to clarify a micro-moment here. This has happened to me in life, and I think it has happened to some viewers too, that there was a period when money was relatively easy. Two or three years ago, I was earning many times more and much easier. Now the result is harder to achieve. How not to lose motivation and continue to act, continue to run the marathon in such a moment? Because looking back, you think, I worked 10 times less, I got 10 times more. Well, you support yourself with words, you say: "This is a period, you need to work, discipline, increase your chances, you talk about all this." But sometimes it's extremely difficult to continue doing it in the mornings. Is there any advice or support >> for such people who are still looking for the next magic pill? >> Every time you want to give up, you must remember the story of a twenty-year-old girl who achieved nothing in life, but was gifted by her rich and older admirer with gifts worth more than 10 million rubles. She had an admirer, he was married, he was very rich, and he gifted her with gifts worth more than 10 million. And her gift was a bag worth 3 million. And what happened to her at that moment? At that moment, it psychologically broke her, because it is very difficult for her to build relationships with you further, for example, because >> I can't give a bag for 3 million. >> You can't give her a bag for 3 million. And the most interesting thing is that in your case with her, it's not your problem, but hers. This is good, >> because >> on Patrik they say it differently, >> because she she just got used to quick and easy money. And she has atrophied the part of the brain that is responsible for willpower. That's it. This man simply killed this part of her brain, reset it. And it needs to be cultivated. And on a chocolate test. Harvard didn't pass. She would have eaten it at that moment >> took a bite immediately >> immediately. And you must remember her. Your task is not to turn into her. If at some point you really lost your long-term willpower because you received quick and large sums of money, it means that God at some point wanted you to have this reward. And perhaps you didn't deserve it at that moment, but you received it so that, perhaps, he would reward you for something. This does not mean that it will be like this all your life. Because, if we take the long distance, then in the long distance, of course, the life of an entrepreneur, if we average it, the life of an entrepreneur who is constantly growing, scaling, reaching new heights is always pain. >> Anti-advertising of entrepreneurship. >> The best interview I've seen lately is an interview with the founder of the most expensive company in the world at the moment, Nvidia. which became worth 4 trillion dollars. And he was asked: "What would you change if you went back 30 years?" And the journalist expected some story about how all my accumulated mistakes positively influenced my experience. I would like to repeat them. A mistake is not a mistake, it's experience. But he said very simply. If we went back 30 years, I simply wouldn't do this, because, yes, now we are the most expensive company in the world, and he has 3% of 4 trillion dollars of his fortune, that is, 120 billion dollars is his fortune. But, he says, if they had warned me about the amount of pain I would have to endure to reach these figures, I would have refused. So if you are engaged in entrepreneurship, then you must prepare yourself for such a difficult, arduous path. It can only be easy in Reels, as a rule, not for entrepreneurs, but for bloggers who sell something. It can be easy there, quick money can be easy there. This is a good offer for selling some course. This is not life. It is always a very difficult, nervous path. And if you are engaged in entrepreneurship and you want to get into the regional or global elite, then you must, of course, be prepared for a difficult, long path. This is simply statistics. >> Friends, I have one request for you. 98% of our podcast viewers watch new episodes without subscribing to the channel. Please subscribe, as this is what allows and helps me invite new interesting guests. Enjoy watching. Suppose an entrepreneur has a frequent story, well, at least from my circle, with whom I communicate, a person develops their project, and in their circle, someone is engaged in another business, a third, a fourth. From the outside, it seems that the neighbor's garden is greener, the neighbor's grass is greener, you want to jump to another business, to do other things. So to jump from one project to another. In such a case, how should a person act better: focus on one thing for 10 years, or if it seemed to him that another project is indeed more promising, for some immediate benefit, and he thinks about switching, how to soberly assess the situation, switch to a new business or continue with his own? >> Look, there are >> although it's hard, very hard. >> There are two paths. The first path is the path of the conditional Tinkov, when you are engaged in various projects and your sole goal is capital accumulation. You can trade jeans, you can trade electronics, you can trade beer, you can do banking, you can do anything where debit equals credit, where you understand that there is profit left at the end, and your only goal is to make money. And your calling is to find a way to make money. This is the first path. The second path is very typical for entrepreneurs of the post-Soviet nineties, because they all started accumulating capital, as a rule, with trade and then did anything to protect and increase this capital. The second path is the next generation of entrepreneurs, both in Russia and in the West, and especially, for example, in Silicon Valley. This is the path when you search for your calling. Then you align yourself with the fact that the calling you have defined for yourself, to which you are devoted and committed, has a large market prospect. This is also very important. And if your calling, of which you are a fan, the work to which you are devoted, also has a large market, then your task is to not lose focus and tune in to implementation within a five-year cycle. And there will always be someone next to you whose grass is greener. Always. It is impossible to be in a position where you are the richest person in your circle, in your company. If this happens to you, then run from that company. You need a person, you always need an environment where people's grass is greener. But your task is to have focus on your project, because in the long run, every action you take, every hour you spend on the work to which you are devoted, will definitely bring you results. And now dozens of companies come to mind where the owner of the company was devoted to his work. And now this company is worth a trillion dollars, where the company did not generate net profit for 15 years. Because, especially in the tech industry, in the dot-com industry not so long ago, 10 years ago, a company could be unprofitable for a long period of time. And the entrepreneur, time and time again, when the money ran out, being not a very rich person, came to investors and defended his concept anew and diluted his share and attracted new money. And 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 IPO billionaire. Therefore, commitment, for example, podcasts. You like the podcast story, and you feel it's my calling. I want to be an entrepreneur, a content maker, a blogger who generates content in the form of podcasts. And you understand that you are ready to do this because it brings you sincere pleasure. Then you need to ask yourself: "Are there any money in the world in this area at the moment? How much can you earn being the number one podcaster in the world?" Well, let's imagine. Who is the most successful podcaster in the world? >> Joe Rogan. It's a deal, as a result of which Joe Rogan sold his podcast to Spotify for 100 million dollars. >> Yes, I heard about that. >> And he is the number one podcaster in the world. And no podcast, no content has come close to this figure. MrBeast is a hyper-successful podcaster who managed to find a solution on how to monetize his audience with the help of other products. And he also started selling his content to streaming platforms. Either Netflix or Amazon. Yes, he went somewhere. And maybe we can list two or three more. And it's very little. >> And there's little money overall, and few people, I agree. The biggest money in this industry is content sold for 100 million dollars. This is the number one out of >> millions of podcasters worldwide. >> There, in this race, you also have hundreds of thousands of your compatriots, several million Indians, and also Americans. Yes, yes, yes. And there, as it were, the biggest ones are few. That is, it can be said that, probably, in order to talk about this as some kind of story in which one can form large capital, it is incomparable, for example, with >> construction, >> with construction, with the financial sector, with even the same dot-com, that is, well, incomparable, yes, at the current moment with AI, well, here's an example of AI, which caused me to be stunned. Before, you could create the most actively developing social network in the world, Instagram, and sell it to Facebook for 1 billion dollars. And your social network is growing faster than Facebook. And Facebook buys it from you for a billion dollars. And at the moment of sale, everyone claps you on the shoulder and says you're a genius, you created a company, and in 2 years or three, I don't remember, you sold it to Facebook for a billion dollars, having only 300 people in your team. Genius. A year later, these guys are told: "This was the biggest mistake of your life. If you had held on for a year, your company would already be worth 5 billion dollars, because the growth rate is higher than Facebook's. And now you are simply an employee of OpenAI. An employee who quit the company and said: "I will create a company." Created a presentation of your company, and your company was valued at 15 billion dollars. A presentation and work experience for 15 billion dollars. And here, for example, if you compare this, and this is simply an employee of the company, well, it's clear that she was responsible for the key, for the entire LLM, for the language, yes, this is not just a cleaner, but not a creator, not a founder, this is an employee, a top manager of the company. A top manager, yes. >> And there is no business here. It's just a presentation that is worth 15 billion dollars. And imagine, Joe Rogan, who worked on his podcast for 10 years, released thousands of podcasts, and all this is worth 100 million dollars. Here I am just about where the money is. This is an important question that you must answer if you have chosen the path of an entrepreneur. So, in your field, is there money? Where is it? That's what you need to think about. >> And if you consider a project you are working on as a step towards something, for example, I consider a podcast as an opportunity to meet, to get to some interesting opinions. >> Excellent. Then you should make it an element of the strategy, a document that you sit down and write. My strategy is 5 years. The first year is lead generation through podcasts. The second year, after the volume of leads is collected, conversion of these leads into deals will begin. The main product offer is this, this, this. So then it should be an element of the strategy. And the podcast is just lead generation, a working strategy. >> We've noted that here. I really want to go back a step when we >> Well, you understand, right, that you will succeed? >> Yes, of course, I have no doubt. No, >> no, I I have no doubt about that. I don't lose hope. Yes, yes, yes. >>

I want to go back a little. If you lose hope at 25, I... after the podcast with Grigory Vetov, if you lose hope at 25, I'm leaving this business, this world. When we talked about increasing the load level, I want to delve a little deeper so that a person can interpret it for themselves. How to understand that you have adequately increased the load level, first of all? Because in the gym, you can come, bench 65, and then bench 100. It's obvious that you need to increase it little by little. But in life, you can increase the load level so much that you won't succeed and will be frustrated, procrastinate, get upset, and think that something is wrong with you. How can a person do this adequately for themselves?

Well, first of all, the simple answer is: you need to increase the load in life, just like in the gym.

So, in the gym, it's obvious.

And in life, it's also obvious. You won't come to the gym and go from 60 to 120 immediately. Yes, you'll do 65.

It's exactly the same in life, you need to increase the load. There is a magnificent book that I recommend to your viewer. It's called Atomic Habits. It's the best-selling book of last year. It was written by James Clear. Atomic, because they are small. The main idea of the book is that with the help of atomic small habits, integrated into life, you can radically improve the quality of your life over a long period of time. A very good metaphor is an airplane changing its route by 2% and landing in another country. Just 2% and you're already in another country. And these 2%, that's what you're fighting for. Implementing atomic habits. The load should not be increased radically. In what case can you increase the load radically? For example, I often radically increase the load in some element of my life. Usually, in professional life. In what case is this possible?

When there is infrastructure, an environment.

When there is infrastructure. And your state acts as an element of this infrastructure, because you can try to increase the load as much as you want, returning to the gym, but if you haven't slept before, then your entire workout is wasted. Lack of sleep and necessary nutrition nullifies all your actions in the gym. This is exactly how you need to approach increasing the load, for example, professionally. You must first set up, as it is now customary to say, the basic minimum in order to subsequently achieve a luxurious maximum. The basic minimum for you is sleep, nutrition. This is the foundation. A friend comes to me and says, "Grigory, invest in my company. I'm doing a round, I want to raise a certain amount of money at this valuation." And I look at him and ask him, "How is your sleep?" And I know, he's my friend, I know that his sleep is systematically very bad. Not because of insomnia, but because the routine is not established. The consequence of this is other problems in his life, because poor sleep affects several factors in life at once. Increased risk level, you start making rash decisions, increased nervousness. And the guys from Harvard conducted an experiment and measured the behavioral factor of traders on Wall Street who had not slept, and found that all sleepless traders enter into risky deals 30% more often. Lack of sleep is increased risk tolerance. And I ask how his sleep is. I ask how his addictions are. He has certain addictions. And when we deal with this, I realize that I am not ready to trust him with my money, because he is currently unable to provide a breakthrough. He is currently capable of... well, his energy, his state are not capable of increasing the load. He needs to sleep. This is the base, this is the foundation. He needs to establish nutrition. He needs to give up addictions, and after that he will be ready for a professional leap. Therefore, answering your question, the load needs to be increased gradually, but in any case, before increasing the load, you need to establish the basic foundation that affects your entire state.

When I want to do a little interactive activity within our dialogue, using my example, as a person who hosts podcasts, how can I systematically increase the load for myself so that by the end of the year I feel the result? For you, increasing the professional load has two obvious criteria. Your first obvious criterion is a quantitative factor. This is the volume of content you release. For example, what volume of content do you release?

10 podcasts a month.

10 podcasts a month. There lies your reserve for increasing your professional load. 12 podcasts a month, 15 podcasts a month, 17, 30 podcasts a month, a podcast every day. You need to look at the statistics of how many podcasts Joe Rogan released at his peak, for example. Yes, this is the first indicator of your growth. The second indicator of your growth is qualitative. The first is quantitative, the second is qualitative. The qualitative indicator has indirect criteria by which you can determine that the quality of your content is growing. The key indirect criterion is audience engagement. If you manage to grow qualitatively, then all engagement parameters increase. And the question is, what needs to be done with the quantity. It's clear what needs to be done. What needs to be done to improve the quality of your podcasts? For this, you need to continuously learn, because content is something that changes daily. For this, you need to increase your exposure. For this, you need to increase your contacts and connections, which will allow you to attract more and more interesting guests on interesting topics, where you can find, say, a new Surdin. He definitely exists.

I'm looking in the process. I understand.

Russia. It's a country where there are many professors, Surdins, and Savateevs, I think, Savateev is his last name, a mathematician who gets millions of views. There are many of them. They are undiscovered, unpolished gems, heads of some department in some solid, let's say, not even Moscow, but a regional university. There are many such unpolished guys there whom you can invite to a podcast and do a series with them about black holes or the Poincaré conjecture, or anything. Therefore, returning to the qualitative approach, it's a matter of how much time you spent on learning, including reading books. It doesn't necessarily have to be, forgive me, mentorship. It can be a course, it can be foreign authors. It will definitely lead you to new ideas that you will implement. How many tests, hypotheses have you conducted? For example, how did you decide to find a new Surdin? Did you make that decision? To find a new Surdin.

Or not yet?

I made it.

You made it. The question is, how many Surdins have you interviewed on your podcast? What number of attempts have you made?

In inviting to the podcast.

In interviewing for the podcast.

The interview hasn't been realized yet, only in negotiations. This is all an element of your professional evolution, your growth, and increasing the load. And if we were to argue now, I would tell you, I guarantee you that if you increase the number of content units with continuous professional development, an element of which will be exposure and learning, with an increase in the number of attempts within a strategy that you have written for yourself, I guarantee you that at 26 you will look at 25 and say, "How well I did." Well, that's obvious progress.

I won't argue because I agree with this action here. Thank you for the interactive session. Noted. The next block, which I also want to discuss, I watched your podcasts with other authors, and you always said that many had to sacrifice in their lives for the sake of results. And it so happened that in my life, my father and grandmother had oncology. And my grandmother's life ended. My father's life, thank God, continues. He is in remission. When my father was seriously ill, I was also working, working a lot, I was an entrepreneur, and I always asked myself, "Where is the balance here, when you really have to sacrifice your life, your rest, entertainment, exposure, travel, vibrancy for the sake of results, even though life can end just like that with a snap of your fingers?" How to find this balance between living life and achieving results? Well, first of all, when your father or someone from your close family is ill, nothing can be prioritized in your life except that. First of all, you must devote all your time and all your resources to solving this problem, because the value of human life in general is colossal, and the value of the life of a loved one is an absolute priority. Therefore, we always press the stop button. If something happens nearby, this is the behavior of an adult, responsible person. And I once heard the phrase that parents are not responsible for their children, and children are not responsible for their parents. This is irresponsible nonsense. Only the absolute can formulate such things. Parents are responsible for us, for some part of our lives. Subsequently, we are obliged to be responsible for our parents for some part of their lives. As for how to get pleasure, the eternal question of a Zoomer, while achieving some results, the answer is extremely simple. In this life, the favorite chess move works. This chess move is called a gambit. Everything in life is a gambit. A gambit is a sacrifice. It can be, for example, a king's gambit, which allows you to gain initiative by sacrificing material on one of the flanks, or a queen's gambit, it doesn't matter. So, all of life is a gambit. No one ever gets something without giving something in return. You always sacrifice something. It's just a necessity. If, for some reason, it seems to you from someone's story that a person sacrificed nothing and achieved results, you are mistaken. They just didn't talk about it. They sacrificed. Everyone sacrifices. And then the important question arises. Either you choose what you will sacrifice for the result, or what you will sacrifice chooses you. This is a question of your subjectivity. To determine the level of your subjectivity is to make a decision about what you are putting on the line. If you are not sufficiently subjective or weak and do not want to make this decision, the result itself will take something away from you. And it might be something that will be very painful for you to part with. It could be your health, it could be the health of your loved ones, it could be the lack of attention to someone to whom it was very important to pay attention during this period. It could be something significantly more valuable than what you say: "I want to travel and enjoy life." If you get the result and at the same time you travel, enjoy life, and have fun, it means only one thing: the result will take something else from you as a sacrifice, something that you yourself did not want to give. Therefore, in our lives, we must always make this decision ourselves. What are we willing to put on the line to achieve results? To choose our contribution ourselves.

So, it's like a scale. You regulate the percentage yourself. So, you can do 100%, sacrifice everything for the result.

Well, you sacrifice something to get it, but only very strong people are capable of that. For example, at some point, an entrepreneur says, "Consciously, I am sacrificing time that I could spend with my children for the sake of results." He consciously makes this decision to sacrifice for the result, but to ensure that you pay attention to your parents, take care of them, pay attention to your children. Every day you pay attention to your wife, have incredible dates for her daily, help your friends. Your business is constantly growing, and you still manage to travel independently.

Sounds like a dream life. Sounds like a life from a cartoon.

Well, but...

There isn't even such a cartoon.

Well, but for me, a person comes to mind, maybe I'm wrong, but Misha Grebenyuk, having watched his blog, he has four or five children already, a happy wife, money, travel, surfing, playing Dota.

Misha is an incredibly talented guy, but I don't know what he sacrificed. And I think that this concept works for everyone, and they know very well what he sacrificed. But...

But definitely sacrificed something.

100%. Not because I know what, but simply because it doesn't work any other way.

So, each person has the right to choose their sacrifice. Or if they don't choose, if I don't choose, then life itself will make a decision for me that I might not have wanted. Right?

Exactly.

Okay. The next block, which I also want to discuss, when I was watching your podcasts with other authors, when I was preparing, the block about infantilism, about Zoomers, about the fact that the younger generation, our peers, work much less than the older generation. I want to discuss what helps maintain the level of productivity in affairs, in work. Well, besides the basics, sleeping well, eating well, taking care of your health. How to increase the percentage of work that you do effectively? You can work effectively for 3 hours, and then your head is like porridge, but sometimes you work for 10 hours. How to make it so that on most days of the year you work as many hours effectively as possible?

First of all, these things that are already obvious are, as a rule, not implemented by anyone. I remember this conversation with a taxi driver, unforgettable after Tony Robbins, where the taxi driver said that Tony Robbins told absolute nonsense and it was obvious to everyone. I say, "What?" He says, "Well, he goes to bed on time, wakes up at 5 am." Well, it's obvious, I didn't need to buy a ticket for that. I say, "So, do you go to bed on time?" He says, "What do you mean, go to bed on time? Are you crazy? I work 20 hours a day." And he's nervous, smokes, and it's obvious to him. First of all, most people don't do what is already obvious. If we look at the percentage, how many of our viewers, who already understand that it's better to go to bed before 11 pm, because it's during this period that hormones are produced, which allows you to sleep better and wake up earlier in the morning than later. Because it's during this period, when you wake up, you have the clearest flow of thoughts, you have enough insights, your workday is more productive, and it turns out to be longer. You feel better. We all know this, almost everyone knows this, but only a few do it. Therefore, this is hygiene that most people do not observe. We all know that it's better to reduce the amount of sugar in our lives. This is a fact. This is not a subject of discussion among nutritionists. You won't find a nutritionist who will tell you, "They all contradict each other." That's true.

They all say mutually exclusive things.

Yes, that's a fact. But at least they agreed on one thing. You need less sugar in your life, because there's already a lot of it in other food products. And one cookie is better than three cookies. At least here all nutritionists say the same thing. We all know this, but still, in every restaurant, especially I like how girls do it, girls look at the dessert display like fish and can't tear their eyes away. What can I say, I'm weak too, and I took an ascetic vow on sweets. I didn't consume them for 2 months and felt better. And I understood that in the long run, it would have a positive impact on my life. Well, even I couldn't handle it, I'm so weak. After 2 months, I still ate that cookie. At least I learned. I read something somewhere, consulted with nutritionists somewhere, found out that I at least started limiting myself in a certain amount of calories. And it's strictly until 2 pm that I consume, and within that volume of calories, and until 2 pm. And at least I adjusted it that way. So, we don't do this hygiene. And then the question arises, if the hygiene is in order, meaning you sleep every day, you eat properly, you finish dinner before 7 pm, not at 10 or 11 pm. And you go to bed with this dinner. If you exercise, fine, you don't have the opportunity to engage in active sports for various reasons, you at least walk 10,000 steps a day. For example, for the last month, I had a period when I couldn't engage in active sports, neither boxing nor in the gym. There was such a period in my life. 10,000 steps, if you look at my fitness tracker, I did them daily. If you have this hygiene in order, then, of course, you have enough opportunity, energy, resources, motivation, and desire to work your 10-12 hours a day. And the question is, how consciously do you do it? What is the criterion for effective work for me? I have a strategy, it's my document, which is agreed upon by me with my partner, with the team. We understand that this is how it should be done. We spent some time on understanding this strategy. We translated all our thoughts into a document. And then the process called "doing" begins. Just doing. It's a management process. Managing yourself and managing the company. Classic management tools are involved. For example, if you ask what we do, we primarily use the Scrum method, but it's a mixed version. Something from regular management works for us, something from Scrum works. And that's how we've organized our work. And that we will definitely implement the entire strategy within the given period. Then, for me, it's just a matter of maintaining myself in a heightened state of motivation thanks to the state I get through sports, nutrition, sleep, by taking care of my health, doing check-ups, monitoring my hormonal background, monitoring my testosterone level. And I'm not sure if this is less important than regulations and protocols. That is, I put it on the same level. My testosterone level, regulations, and protocols are equally priority if I want to achieve results. And in this way, we simply implement our strategy. This is how it's possible to work effectively for 12 hours a day.

Did I understand correctly? It consists of two parts: First is your own state. Everything, no matter how obvious it may seem, needs to be brought into a norm in terms of habits. And second is the vision, which is written down, and simply strict adherence.

And third is the implementation of this vision.

Then I would like to discuss the second block regarding vision. You have talked about it many times, other entrepreneurs have talked about it many times, that there should be a vision for at least three to five, preferably ten years. Sidov even said that he had a vision for 25 years ahead. How now, for example, for me, I want to ask myself, as a young guy, to create a vision for 5 years, when every year or two my activity has changed drastically. I can't say what I'll be doing in 5 years. Maybe I'll be a podcast host, maybe not. So how to implement it then? You are currently in a calibration process. And this calibration process is the first step to starting a cycle. Your cycle, for example, a five-year cycle, which, let's say, starts now at 25 and ends at 30, should begin with calibrating yourself. This means increasing your energy level, because, I repeat, it's impossible to do anything if you lack testosterone.

Thank God, I have enough.

Yes? First is the energy level. Second is what you are doing now – immersing yourself in the right context. Context is your environment, people. Learning, books, content that you consume, all of this is context. It is impossible to get a solution regarding the strategy of your cycle if you have already solved the issue of your state, everything is fine with your hormones, relationships, and spiritual state, but you are in a detrimental context. For example, you consume some destructive content from social media as if you were possessed, or you subscribe to any news Telegram channels, it doesn't matter which ones, just news channels. Everything, any news channels, is evil, right? Or your context is your childhood friends who are not very successful, with whom you spend most of your time. No, it's impossible. This context will not allow you to grow, because if you have dealt with your state, you must go to a champion gym where many champions have emerged. There are such gyms where a series of champions emerge. Or there are such cities where a series of champions emerge. You must be in this city, in this gym, in this environment. You must read these books, you must listen to this content. By immersing yourself in this context, with a normal state, you are guaranteed to find a way to create your five-year strategy. This strategy will form, it will come, you will find a solution. Because when you have very high energy and you constantly grasp different interesting cases and trends in AI, in graphics cards, in the economy of emotions and the economy of experiences, when you get different cases, your strategy will definitely come with a guarantee, and you will start sitting and writing it. Your strategy will have two elements. The first is the basic idea, your goals in your new project that you will implement. And the method of implementation. Method of implementation number one, for example, increase the number of investors in your own environment. What needs to be done for this? Launch a separate section on the podcast. This is venture investments. I agree that the venture investments section will give me about 130 views per month. But at the same time, I understand that I am doing this for leads, to talk to boring investors about how they invested in entertainment projects or content projects, because my goal there is to attract money for my project, which I will launch after a certain period of time. So, you simply get a method of implementation, and after you have a strategy, that is, your method of implementation, you start doing only one thing. You start doing it continuously, without paying attention to whose grass is greener, without paying attention to difficulties. You simply start continuous implementation of your strategy with breaks only for one thing. After each sprint, your strategy is divided into sprints, after each sprint you stop and engage in reflection and analysis.

How long does a sprint last?

Depending on the project? Well, for example, in my case, my sprint lasts six months. At the end of six months, we stop working and the reflection and analysis process begins. We start to understand what we did right, what we did wrong. Somewhere there was not enough project documentation, somewhere there was not enough accuracy of actions, somewhere there was not enough execution. But you should only stop after the sprint is over. Until the sprint is over, your task is simply to work your ass off, implementing the strategy that has emerged.

I want to voice a quote on this note. I have it saved here, and I'm interested in getting feedback on this quote. It seems relevant to our dialogue. The quote reads: "The world belongs to those who keep doing, even if they don't see the result." How relevant and applicable is it?

Even when they don't see the result at the moment, right? They keep doing it without results. This means that the frontal lobes responsible for willpower work in such a way that they allow him to act without seeing the result at the moment of his action. I think your horse hasn't died. If there is a large space in this field, if there is a lot of money in your market, your horse hasn't died, you have to drag it yourself, because you will drag it. Because all the examples that surround me, and my personal example, are not related to quick and easy results, but to a marathon. Life, no matter how it may seem, at 22-25 years old, is not a sprint. Life is a marathon. The older I get, the more I am convinced of this.

Every year, the marathon will seem longer and longer to you.

At 18, it seemed like in two Fridays I would be a millionaire. It didn't happen at the moment. But the quote: "The world belongs to those who do, even if there is no result at the moment." Isn't the result at the moment a measure that you are on the right path?

Yes, it is. But this result is an intermediate result. For example, at some point, your result at the moment is a ready strategy, at some point your result at the moment is established sleep, at some point your result at the moment is written project documentation for your business.

So, it's not always money in a bank account.

As a rule, it's not money in a bank account, because this money comes to you after a certain order of actions has been carried out. There is such a word as sequence. In general, this world is very simple. In this world, there is hierarchy and sequence. And it's important not to violate the laws of this world. We increasingly challenge hierarchies and increasingly try to change the sequence of events. Well, as a rule, if you take the world average, your company is in its infancy for 3 years. Your company is only an infant for 3 years. After 3 years, you are just beginning to understand what business you are in and how to do it, and you have been doing your business for 3 years. And I ask you and all of you not to pay attention to what this says.

Comrade in Patriki. This doesn't matter at all. >> I unsubscribed from him. >> Yes, unsubscribe, whoever it is, from everyone. This doesn't matter at all. For 3 years it's just being built, then in the fourth year you're already done, you're already, well, starting to understand that it works. The fifth year is already a stable business, it's already profit. Well, further you can use the Adizes cycle, when decline occurs, crisis, well, there are different cycles, but there isn't a single cycle where you created a business and a few months later you're in wild net profit. That doesn't exist. How often do you rewrite your strategy? Should it be edited at all? >> At the moment of reflection. This reflection and analysis is when the sprint is over, you calibrate how accurate you were in your goals. >> And from your experience, once every six months, is that correct? >> Not much, because all the basic key elements were created at the beginning of the cycle, when I entered the five-year cycle. All the basic elements were created, and these are key vectors. But I already entered with experience, with accumulated experience, mistakes. Yes, I had a five-year cycle before that, which was also associated with cosmic results, forums, large educational projects. >> Okay, the strategy is clear here. I also want to discuss another question. It's the fear of making decisions or the fear of starting something new. Often, when a person decides to try entrepreneurship or even implement something new in their business, they are afraid of making a mistake, of going to zero, or of failing, of getting into debt. How should one work with this fear of resistance? >> Look, I don't know how to work with the fear of resistance, because I've never had it, so it's difficult for me to give advice. I've never had a feeling of such insurmountable fear that would prevent me from acting. The only thing I want to say is that it's very important to ask the question: do I have enough resources? For example, a taxi driver who thinks from morning till night about how he would manage the territory of Eastern Europe, he won't have enough resources to implement this task, even if he puts it in his strategy. Dreamers often come to me who tell me about billion-dollar businesses. Well, there's no reason why it should work out for him right now. There's no reason. An important question: do you have enough resources for this leap, for this action? What resources? Time, financial, if they are required for this leap. And the state of energy, this is also a very important resource. Do you have enough of this resource? Well, for example, you say: "Okay, I want to increase the level of complexity. Now I want to release 12 podcasts. I want to learn more. I want to make several attempts to implement my strategy, find a new superstar from science popularization." Then you ask the question: "Do you have enough resources for this?" If you understand that your resources are sufficient, meaning financial resources are enough, your energy is enough, and the only thing stopping you is an insurmountable feeling of fear, because you predict that you will die a bum. >> Good thought, that's how it is. >> Act, act. And remember that Trump was bankrupt four times, right? And Elon Musk was on the verge of bankruptcy. Almost everyone. Business is a continuous cash gap. And the fear of dying a bum at 25, in principle, should be absent altogether, because you'll have plenty of time. >> Uh, I don't want to. That is, if only the fear of losing money stops you and >> and you have enough resources, then you should act, of course, >> enough, you have to act like that >> 100%. Our life is very short not to try. >> This is exactly the thought that motivates me to act, among other things. And crisis, if a person, for example, falls into a crisis situation, like losing money, or the trend was growing, now it's stagnating, losses, for example, in the company, earning less, how should a person get out of it? So, for the first question, I want to break it down. How to understand that he has gone the wrong way? Probably, most likely, it's obvious that he has gone the wrong way. And how should he get out of this down-trend vector and back into a growing trend? >> If he has what? >> If he has, let's say, losses in the company, his income has dropped, he's trying, rowing, rowing, but it's not working. >> Of course, it's very important, of course, during reflection, during analysis, to conduct a proper assessment of actions, to do the same thing. And expecting a different result won't work. If you got a very bad result, this bad result is a consequence of the decisions you made. During reflection and analysis, you must calibrate your strategy. What will help you calibrate your strategy? For example, there is a superpower, called, very simple, >> a mentor, >> cheap, called feedback. from any person, not necessarily from a mentor. It can be your senior comrade, it can be your friend, it can be a person close to you, it can be your employee. >> And how, and right away I'll ask the question, not to get confused in this feedback, because I had a period when I asked for feedback from ten people, and they all said different things, and many of them contradicted each other. >> Yes. >> How, how then at all? Well, no >> this is a classic brainstorming method, you have to get hundreds of different contradictory opinions to understand, feel, figure out which one is the most accurate. But I do everything in my life, I do everything after consulting beforehand. I practically have no actions in any area, neither in personal life, nor in professional life, nor even more so in matters related to my personal state, my energy, my health, where I haven't consulted. One of my comrades has a whole system of created boards of directors on various issues, including a board of directors on family matters, wife. That is, he always has boards of directors, and I do too. And this is the fastest, cheapest, most reliable and accurate way to calibrate your strategy, to get feedback. >> Are these the same people over many years, or different people? >> Well, in my case, it's the same people over many years. With rare exceptions, the composition changes by about 10%, for 90% it hasn't changed in the last 7 years. And what's the order of magnitude of people? >> Depending on the questions in the professional sphere, well, up to 10. Senior comrades, >> friends and team members. >> So, hypothetically, roughly speaking, for example. If you are thinking about organizing a forum for 30,000 people or not, you write down a hypothesis and go collect feedback from your close circle, >> yes? Yes, >> and after that you form the final decision. And also, if something goes wrong, you also take the problem, go to your close circle, ask what can be adjusted here, and after that you calibrate. >> Yes, >> super, maximally understandable, applicable advice. A question that I couldn't help but ask. You had the opportunity to meet various major entrepreneurs, billionaires. And I want to, I'm currently reading a book, listening to a book about Boris Berezovsky, an interview with his close circle. And I would like to understand how this person thinks. And I want to ask you, when you communicated with other billionaires, were there any approaches to decision-making, to the way of acting or thinking, that distinguish a person of very high scale from entrepreneurs, even those who are at a good, average level in Russia? For example, >> the book "Berezovsky's Time," which you are reading now, has a wonderful thesis by Boris Abramovich, when he was asked about the meaning of life. He says: "The meaning of my life is expansion, continuous expansion." Yes, an interesting book, it gives a full picture of what happened in those years and what can happen to an entrepreneur when the level of his adventurism is uncontrolled. >> That's right, >> uncontrolled. Uncontrolled level of adventurism. What consequences can this lead to? >> When there is no one next to you who can convince you to hit the brake pedal in time. Returning to your question, what distinguishes big entrepreneurs >> from mid-level entrepreneurs? >> You need to find some similarity, apparently, right, they all have, >> if such, if it was noticed. Well, for example, about adventurism, you noted it interestingly in the book, although there is a subtle line about it. This is also precisely what distinguished Boris Abramovich. >> First, of course, undoubtedly, it is curiosity. They are all very curious guys. Moreover, many guys who have already formed large capital, this curiosity becomes a consequence of interest in other areas, not just business. This meme, a, my empire, the Roman Empire, this is pure. Many entrepreneurs who managed to reach, let's say, a valuation of a billion dollars, who managed to reach this indicator, they begin to show curiosity in the areas of history, literature, art. That is, they go deep there. And their visionariness is a consequence of their curiosity. Apparently, at the start and at the launch, curiosity is what allows them to act and not be afraid, because it's more curious >> to try >> than scary. Curiosity is, yes, such a common characteristic. And the second characteristic, I haven't seen a single gloomy billionaire. Never met. I'm trying to remember. I've met introverted. And guys, especially from the IT industry, unloved with a very low level of emotional intelligence. I've met them, but I haven't met gloomy ones who don't believe it will work out. That is, in most cases, all of them, of course, all successful entrepreneurs are distinguished by the fact that they believe it will work out. This is the second. And third, all the guys who managed to reach a valuation of a billion dollars, they were all incredibly lucky, or it was conscious. They all worked in large markets, that is, almost all whom I can think of, whom I know, are guys who chose, in simple terms, the right niche. At some point, they determined that this niche is the most correct, and fell in love with their business within a very large niche. It would have been difficult to reach this valuation if their commitment had been, well, to something like, I'm a fan of shoe repair salons on Semenovskaya, right? I haven't met such people. >> So, it's curiosity, optimism, a certain tolerance for risk. That is, curiosity outweighs potential losses and a large market. >> Yes, >> this is the key, >> yes, >> noted. And the final question within our conversation. What is Grigory Vetov heading towards now? What are the goals and objectives for the next 5 years within the strategy? >> We are building an empire in the field of the largest lecture events in the world. The key characteristic of our empire is huge complexes of 10, 15, 20, 35,000 people who gather for lectures. Our big dream is to teach people to have fun and get emotions with benefit. You can have fun and get emotions at a concert, or you can at a lecture. A lecture is also a way of entertainment, getting an explosive amount of dopamine. You go to a concert for dopamine. Imagine how important it is for us, for people, to get an amount of dopamine. For this, yes, I have acquaintances who, for this reason, went to a Justin Timberlake concert in Georgia, stood in line in cars for 5 hours at the border, then stood for several hours waiting for him to come out, I would never have agreed to this in my life. But people are so much, for what? For what are you doing this? This is incredible torment. For what are you doing this? You are doing this to get an emotion. And we work in the same market. We work in the emotions market. But with one exception. The emotions that we give through our products also give you an additional bonus in the form of a planner filled with a large number of interesting applicable solutions that will improve the quality of your life. You don't just leave a concert humming something to yourself. You don't just leave a fight remembering how your teeth didn't fly out and blood splattered on your face, but you leave with new ideas that will make your life better. And we are building an empire in the field of these solutions. Lectures, courses, books are the key theses of the empire we are building. And thanks to the calling we are engaged in, we are confident that tens of thousands of people in each country, and hundreds of thousands of people in total per year, will find new solutions for their lives, for their business, for their calling precisely through the entertainment that we will offer them through lectures with the greatest thinkers in the world. This is very inspiring. Has anyone in the world solved this problem yet, or will you be the first? >> Several companies in the world are solving this problem. And we are one of these companies in the world, but there are not many of them. There can be only about five such companies that solve this problem. But some of them work in very narrow niches, for example, in the field of technology. But in the project that we are working on, it's the greatest thinkers in the world, who convey all their ideas through the best lectures in the world, which they prepare, this is a unique project in its own way. >> Super. On this note, I can only wish you luck, success, >> that everything works out for you, and address our viewers, thank them for their time, for sitting with us for these hour and a half. It was incredibly useful, incredibly interesting for me. After the podcast, I will definitely take on tasks and increase the level of complexity in my endeavors. You, in the comments, dear friends, also write how you can increase the level of complexity in your work, in your business, in your favorite thing that you do. And I will ask you to like this podcast, subscribe. This is very important to me and allows me to invite such cool guests as Grigory Vetov. And until new soon meetings. Bye-bye.
