Today's theory is a really interesting one because I want to talk about a secret detail that was added inside Piggy almost 3 years ago. This detail revealed the future of Piggy, and yet nobody ever talked about it. It was forgotten until today, and it all comes down to Fergus.
Fergus is a Piggy skin that was added during the 2022 custom skin contest along with the other four winners, and it got first place with over 500 votes. And here we are, 3 years later, making theories and discovering the lore behind it. You might be wondering what mysteries could be hidden inside Fergus. At the end of the day, he's just a contest winner skin.
Well, you see, it wouldn't be the first time a contest skin became canon to the Piggy storyline. As you probably already knew, Baji was also a contest skin and later on in Book 2 became canon to the lore. And I believe that Fergus will sooner or later become canon to the lore of Piggy Inter City, the game that shows us what happened inside Piggy a decade after Book 2's ending. So let me present you what I have theorized for today.
The Fergus skin is an amazing concept. He's a military general that is corrupted by the Insolence. However, some of you may not know that he's been going through three different redesigns. This one being the first concept and the one that was supposed to be added inside the game. However, on its release, Fergus got a huge upgrade and looked like this. But as of January 2025, Fergus is expected to once again get a new redesign, this one right here, which is just a better version of the other Fergus model.
But this is where our theory comes in. The first ever Fergus model did not release inside Piggy because it had some assets that could have been copyrighted in the future, such as the Tower Defense Simulator hat that Fergus wore. And because of that, Minitoon had to change it a little bit and add some original assets, creating this version, and later on, the newest redesigned Fergus. And well, something definitely changed because if we look on the hat that Fergus wears, we can see a new logo, and we actually know what it symbolizes.
The logo that is on Fergus's hat is the Capital symbol. For those who don't know, the Capital is a giant faction inside Piggy Inter City that is living inside a city surrounded by giant walls that were built to protect those inside it. Of course, we know all of this thanks to the secret X account called The Capital that was created back in 2021. And once again, as you can see on their account, there it is, the same symbol as the one from Fergus's hat.
Which leads me to believe that Fergus is, in fact, a member of the Capital. But not just a regular member, he's not even a soldier, but he's a general. And we can confirm that from both of his skins' versions. The current one has a star in the middle of the logo, symbolizing that he's a high rank in the Capital, and the future skin redesign has some golden wings attached to the symbol, once again showing that he's a high rank.
So, what I theorize is that Fergus is canon. He's part of the Capital faction, wherever that's going to be. But we should also keep in mind that just because we have an Insolent skin of him doesn't mean he's already dead. Inside Inter City, because we also have infected skins for characters that are still alive, such as Pony, Baji, Georgie, and many more. So Fergus could still be alive inside the Capital, or as the skin suggests, could be taken over by the Insolence, meaning that not even the Capital is safe enough.
But one thing that I can confirm in today's theory is that Fergus was all this time canon to the lore, being one of the commanders of the Capital. And we might end up seeing him inside Piggy Inter City, just like we saw Baji in Book 2. But what are your theories about Fergus? Let me know in the comments below.
