If you're running a marketing agency, you're at this weird place right now. You sort of see AI is here, and it's going to get better. You're seeing that clients are asking more questions about, well, can AI just do this instead of me paying you? And you also see a massive opportunity, right? So, you're sort of scared and happy and optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. It's a weird place.
I know this because I've been running a marketing agency for the greater part of two and a half years with AI integrated. I started using chatbt in 2022 and rode the wave all the way till right now. And I'm telling you, the race is heating up. These are five ways that you as a marketing agency should be using AI to not only protect yourself, but to take advantage of a massive lucrative opportunity that I think we have six or 12 months left on. So, I'm going to cover those in this video. And these are things I am actually doing in my own agency. And these are not going to be five AI tools or five AI prompts to use. No, these are going to be highlevel strategies that you should use as a marketing agency. I'm going to save the best one for last because a lot of people disagree with me on it, but I see it working out. So, let's hop into number one. All right.
In for reference, so you can sort of judge where you are in relation to this video. This is my agency right here. We do marketing, specifically social media marketing, organic content. We believe it's the future of marketing. Some of our clients win, stuff like that. So, I'm actually putting these into practice. I'm telling you, I'm actually doing these, and you can do these as well. And these are the things that are making some agencies grow really fast because we're working with these agencies, and I see it live from us and from them.
The first thing is make the business model decision first. Like, this is the highest level strategy that I want you to think about when it comes to marketing agencies because there's another fork in the road. There's two paths. You either have AI in your offer. So, you have an AI first agency, you have AI first offer, or you have AI in the back end. So, you have AI fulfilling for your offer. What does this look like? All right.
So, if you run a content agency, I'm going to use myself. I run a content agency. Okay. I could either put AI in the offer. So, this is option number one. I could sell an AI, an AI content flywheel. That's number one. I could sell this in the offer. All my positioning, everything will be in the offer. Option number two is I sell content like people have been doing for 10, 15 years. And then behind the scenes, AI does the work. Now, you could do both, and we're sort of doing both to see what's working best, but I think there is a better way of thinking about this. Both of them work, but make a decision that's relevant to you. Okay.
Now, the first way is you sell AI in the service. Like I mentioned, AI generated content, AI automation workflows, AI creatives. If you're running a paid ads agency or a Google Ads PPC agency, like, hey, we run your PPC with an AI avatar, with this, with that, right? So, that's what you could do. The other version is you have the same service but faster delivery. And I think a lot of money is going to be made here, especially if you're targeting local businesses or other businesses because a lot of people, they don't care about AI. They don't want AI. If you get a better result faster, not only are you going to make more money, they're going to make more money. Everyone's happy. And if AI is doing the work, the only person, to be honest, that is losing out is the people you're contracting out to. They're out of a job, right? But the client and you are happy. All right, that's just the reality of the situation. You get a better result, faster turnaround, same quality, and AI is just doing all the work in between. All right, and the last strategy I'm going to cover, which a lot of people disagree with me on, is going to be an extension of this and how this actually looks like from a business point of view. How you can make more LTV, higher profits from every single client. But these are the two fundamental options. You use it in the offer or you use it behind the scenes. Like, that is it. Those are your two options. There's a blend of both, but those are the two ones that I see in the market.
By the way, I put together a free complete cheat sheet on these five things and just seeing if you're ready to actually use this stuff for yourself. I'll leave it for completely free down below if you want to check it out. I thought it'd be helpful for a lot of you if you want to follow along with this video.
Now, the next thing is pretty common, but it's automating the repeatable stuff, but not the creative work. Yes, repeatable stuff, not the creative work. All right, what we're seeing right now, and you can look up the statistic, I believe it's something around 54%. Don't quote me on this, but it's above 50% of people, of people hate AI advertising. They hate it. They see it in like a Coca-Cola ad. They see it in a UGC ad. They absolutely can't stand it because they see it as replacing human work, eliminating creativity, eliminating art. Now, whether you see it the same way, that it doesn't matter, right? It's what the consumer sees. If they hate an AI ad, you're using AI for your ads, and people could tell, they're not going to like you. All right? So, you have to take this into account. Use it for repeatable stuff and not the creative work. Or if you're really good at prompting, which a lot of marketing agencies, you're not going to be there when you start. But if you could somehow get away with it, then use it for some of the creative work, not all of it entirely because it doesn't work. Trust me, I've tried, and we have really good developers on the team. You still have to do a lot of work yourself or some work yourself. All right.
By the way, if you want an AI marketing turnaround, book a call with me down below. We're installing a few marketing services into marketing agencies like yourself so you could run on higher profits and with less team. If you want to check that out, you can book a free call down below. Little shameless plug. I thought it would help some of you out. This is number two.
And essentially, repeatable AI looks like this. Reporting 100% client dashboards. I'm going to get into this in a second. I have an entire client dashboard for me. I build this out for other people. So, everyone could visualize their metrics, their YouTube, their Tik Tok, their Instagram, their community, their conversions, remix banks, brand deals. I could see my business stats. So, I could play around with my metrics. Like, this is a dashboard or a service that I could sell. And that's like reporting organization. 100% repeatable with AI. Research is also repeatable with AI. I have dozens of videos on my channel about research and building out research agents and stuff like that. First draft is really good. So, the 8020 rule here is pretty heavy in my opinion. 80% AI, and then you review the 20%. Finally, you do this, and then you could even get this with some of your tasks down to like 95% AI, 5% you, 95, 97.5 or two, 2.5% you. Like, it could almost be all AI for some of these. I always want to have a human in the loop. That's just me, but you know, you do you. All right. Next is briefing documents, SOPs obviously, and scheduling, right? Scheduling is just automation. It's not even really AI.
Creative stuff you should still do is highle strategy. AI still cannot pick up, in my opinion, on high level strategy, specifically with content. It spits out really good content ideas, but the overarching strategy, it doesn't always understand. I've been doing this for three years. You have a million dollars in client results. I'm going to trust me on the strategy. All right? Instead of AI, right? I could do some work here. Next is client communication. I would avoid having Slack and AI in your DM. Just be a human. Just communicate with people. The future is relationships. So, build relationships. Storytelling is another one. Like, some of the biggest ways I've seen clients is people just resonate with my story that I post about online. So, that's one you should keep because your story is individual to you. All right, campaign ideation. This one's like half in, half out. Brand positioning. Another way is like positioning yourself. I think if you've been doing marketing for a long time, you have a better idea than AI does. And then taste and judgment. Taste is huge. Humans curate taste because it's among taste is amongst humans. All right, so that is also something that's always changing, and I think the AI is not that good at it, and you should be doing this. All right, so automate this, still do this, and you could still automate a lot of this, just not all of it. All right, that's the key.
You can think about AI as a sue chef sort of on the side of you, and then you're just directing. So, you're the chef. You're like, "Hey, grab that, cook that. Let me taste it. Yum. Keep on doing that." Whatever a head chef does, I don't cook. But that is what you get started to do. That's sort of the dynamic you can think about.
Next, and this is tactical, is just get familiar with AI image. So, marketing and creatives, I know I said don't automate creatives. You need to get familiar with AI image gen to know what's possible. And the flywheel this really unlocks. I'm not going to really go over tools. Nano Banana is a good place to start. Higsfield, Genspark, like all these tools. But what you could do if you're running an ads agency, and this, this goes for content as well. The flywheel is as follows, right? You win with ads by testing, right? So, if you could test a million variations, or not a million, a 100 variations, this is a winner. This is a winner. Then you could create more winners like this based on this. Now, if you say this is a winner because this hook and this style is different, then you keep on going down. Like, that's how you get a winning ad with like a nice headline, sub headline, and a nice creative, right? That's how you end up testing. Like, these are all creatives. These all fail, the one circled win, the one circled win, and then you just test at scale. And this used to cost thousands of dollars. You need a team member to do creatives and all these different things. Now you could have AI spin up a bunch of different creatives for you and automatically test for you, right? That's the best way to go about it or think about it. Okay.
The speed is insane. Like, this takes days and thousands of dollars in staff and team and coordinating and slack and headache. Now, with a workflow, you could just set this up in minutes. And actually, I have a video on exactly how you could do that a few videos ago. And people have used it, and it works really well because it's just connecting Nanobanana to Claude. And that's that video right here. For some reason, doesn't have a thumbnail because YouTube not loading it, but you could create instant images for your videos using Claude Code and Nano Banana. Okay, so that's something you could do instantly. I wouldn't use MidJourney. I would use Claude and Nano Banana. Like, that's the best so far in my opinion. But again, just getting in reps over and over and over and over till you get something that's working, and then you use the human talent to come in and curate what's working with taste, with feedback, with your human brain and your strategy. And again, it's not about replacing designers, it's about making them faster, making them more efficient.
Again, going back to my YouTube channel, these are all AI thumbnails. Like, these are AI thumbnails, and my videos have been doing very well recently. Well, did I fire my thumbnail designers? No. Do they work on more client accounts in my account? Do they work more? Do they get more output? Yes. And the best thing about it is, again, it's a win-win sort of all the way around. This is my thumbnail designer. I give him an AI system that I built. He can now do this. Let's say he, he does one hour of work a day. He could do one, two, three, four, five points of work. Before without AI, and once that same hour, he could just do one output. So, now he's able to do all this output, and he's still working the same. So, he doesn't care. It's even easier for him. It's better for me, better for our clients. All right? So, that is sort of how you should think about it. Like, that's how you can empower your people, your designers with AI. Now, if you have a massive team, I'm not gonna lie to you, some of them you could probably let go. And some of you probably will do that. Again, that's the reality of the situation. But you're not firing your whole team. I will never tell you until it's actually real. Make sure you're following along for the day that happens because I'm going to keep it real with you guys. The day I could actually fire all my designers, I will let you know. I probably won't do that, but if it's possible, I'll at least let you know, guys. Depends how type of business you like to run. But that is how I think about it. You're not replacing designers, you're making them faster.
Old workflows: designer, blank canvas, initial concepts, revisions, then revisions, re back, delivery. The way I say this is because I run a content agency. I've looked at thousands of thumbnails, hundreds of videos. It takes a long time, and it's not fun. New workflows: AI generates concepts, designer evaluates, refineses, and delivery. Boom. Right? So again, if the AI system we built can do 80% of a thumbnail, then the human just polishes up the rest. That's all it is. And actually, the our AI system is pretty cracked. does like 97.5% of the thumbnail. But I'll save that for another day. Actually, we have that down below in our community if you want to check our AI marketing community out. Our thumbnail designers, templates, everything is in there if you want to go ahead and use that to post more and make more for your business with less recording and less effort on your end. There's a bunch of cool stuff in there. So, recommend checking that out.
Next is getting comfortable with Cloud Code. This is the driver behind everything. Again, if you see my videos, these are all about cloud code. It's not because Anthropic is sponsoring me. Thek, if you're listening, I would love a sponsorship, but it's because the product is that good. It made this presentation for me. It made this script for me, and it's making this all possible. This dashboard I showed you, this is all possible because of Claude Code. And again, the Cloud Code, if you haven't watched my other videos, code, it's not coding, guys. It's not coding. It codes for you, but you give it English. So, it's just like prompting anything else. I have a setup guide in my community or on my page, a less setup guide, a less in-depth one about how to set up Cloud Code and get it started if you're a marketer. But this is what's going to be the separating factor for agencies in the next 12 months. If you understand this tech, you are going to thrive. If you don't understand this tech, not going to say you're going to die, but it's going to be tough. All right? Just do not be scared of the word cloud code. Just hop into it. Start using it. I'm telling you, it's easier than you think. And if you have any questions, you could drop them down below because what claude code does, it sort of forces your mind into this new way of thinking.
Agencies think of AI as like apps. I could go to tragic t for writing, majour for images, I go to make.com to chain everything together. Well, cloud code is an operating system. So, it's everything in one, right? So, instead of thinking about, you know, this does A, this tool does B, this tool does C, you sort of get the point, right? This tool does D, like writing and image and this and that. Now with Claude, you have this, you have your business, BIS, this is your business, and it does everything. Everything feeds back into it. All right? So, you might have your ops, you might have payments, you might have taxes, you might have content, ads, fulfillment, marketing, etc. But it all feeds back into this one centralized place. You sort of see a taste of it. And this is, it's not even crazy. Like, I'll show you some other stuff I've built later on in other videos. But this is like an operating system. Everything is here. I can see my YouTube. I can see my Tik Tok. I can analyze my Tik Tok videos. This is not accurate because it's updating. But profile visits, average completion, like it tells me when to remake videos. My engagement rate in this one is, is pretty insane. So, it's not perfect, but here we go. But everything is in one place. My Instagram, same thing. Conversions, community, it's all here, you know, and this is an operating system. This is the way you want to think about it. You're not going to 10, 20, 25 different tools, looking for everything, digging through Slack. Everything's linked in here.
And just to give you guys some sauce, this is not going to be a technical video, but when setting things up, you want to think about setting up Cloud Code properly, which I have a video on again, or ask questions or join the community. Everything's there. You want to think about everything as an API call away. API call is just connecting to software. That's all it is. You get an API key, and it allows two softwares to talk. So, claude cannot talk to your Slack. Claude can now talk to your QuickBooks for tax. Cloud can now talk to your Stripe for invoicing, etc. And it's all done by API. That's exactly how it works. And then the UI, the unit user interface, that's how you design what you want things to look like, how you want things to operate, etc. All right. So, that's, that's all it is. But instead of thinking about it as apps, it's an operating system. It works together.
And think about this. I know you're marketers, and your head's spinning, spinning with excitement. It should be like, this is powerful. It's crazy. The best part is you don't need to be a developer. I have a biology degree. Chad GBT came out when I was my junior year in college. I finished with a biology degree, stopped, ignored all job offers, went right into AI because I knew we would get to this point, and we're at this point, right? I did not code anything here. I just understand how marketing works. I understand the structuring of LLMs. I understand tools. I don't know how to code. And you don't need to do either. This would have taken a lot of time and cost me a lot of money. Now it doesn't. Start every single day. Build that skill, and trust me, you'll build some really cool things.
And number five, right, this is where some people disagree with me. I just think it's something for entertainment. Like, think about this because I think it can make you a lot of money depending on your business model. Might sound counterintuitive, but you could lower your margins or you could lower your potential for margins to have a higher LTV. Now, this is getting into a lot of business talk, but essentially most agencies will use AI to reduce delivery costs and pocket margin. The smarter play, in my opinion, you could do this. AI reduces delivery costs, pass saving to clients, and you could get lower prices. Clients win more, build volume, learn faster, get better. What does this mean? All right.
So, you have an offer. I'm just going to use my offer again. So, we do a done for you YouTube service. If you want to grow your YouTube, like I've grown my YouTube this, this past month, I've got 300 leads from YouTube. Look at my channel. Seriously, if you want to build a YouTube channel, book a call with me down below cuz we've done it for dozens of other people. But let's just say this is our offer. These are not the exact details, but our offer is we post 25 videos for you and 50 shorts for you plus a bunch of other things. Let's say that offer is 7.5K. All right. Let's say normally, so this would be normal times on the left. Normally before AI, this took, let's say, 4K to fulfill. I'm not going to give you exact numbers. 4K to fulfill. That means my profit on this, guys, now it's getting messy, was 3.5K. All right, that's how much I made when delivering this at this price. Now let's say after, same thing, 25 vids, 50 shorts, let's say my delivery instead of 4K, let's say it's like 1.5K because AI saved us that much. I don't have to pay a content strategist. I don't to pay a lot of editors. I could just roll with a little team. So, now it's like, oh man, well, I could increase my margin from 3.5K. I can make 6K profit now. Awesome, right? Yes, I could do that, and a lot of you will, and I might even. But what you could also do, if I get rid of this, is you could do something along the lines of reducing your price because if you reduce your price by a little bit, I'm not talking about crazy stuff here. Instead of 7.5K, if you charge like six, your close rate is going to go up. You're going to collect more cash, and people are going to stay with you because this is just an insane deal. 25 videos for 6K, 50 shorts for 6K is like insane deal. Other agencies would charge 10, 12K for this, right? So, if it's an insane deal, close rate goes up, you work with more people, you get more data, you have a higher LTV, meaning people stay with you longer. Like in that example, let's say people paid us 7.5K, they did it for two times, you know, that our LTV per client is 15K. Okay, cool. Well, if someone pays us 6K for that same offer and they stay with us for four reiterations, right? This is not a month. This would be like per quarter. Let's say they stay with us for two years. So, that's times eight quarters. Well then what's the math on that? 48k, I'm going to say that's the LTV, right? That's a lifetime value. So, you have to be just taking these things into account. That's just my take. That's what I think people should be thinking about instead of pocketing all the margin, which you could reinvest in a marketing, and there's different ways to go about it. You can pass some savings on the client, have it be a good deal, inclanely profitable business, and you're still not working too much because you have AI doing a lot of the stuff with your team.
It boils down to when clients feel like they're getting an exceptional deal. Higher LTV, less churn, more referrals, and you give yourself more room to get results, right? That's how I think about it.
So, if I were running a marketing agency today, first thing I would do is talk to me about building out AI systems for your marketing agency to take advantage of these strategies. Right? After that, I'd be looking at making the business model decision. So, offer or backend or a blend of both. Automate the repeatable processes, not the creative ones. Get good at AI image genen. Get comfortable with cloud code. And then improve your offer and just think about how you want the margins to work out and manipulate the numbers to work out for you.
If you want to apply these in action, again, I have a free PDF for you guys to fill out just to see where you are. I have a community down below, and then a book a call as well if you want to check out more done for you solutions. That was another video. I hope you guys enjoyed. If you learned something, please leave a like and subscribe. It helps me out a lot, and I will see you guys in the next video. Make sure to watch this one next. Take care.
