Your Apple account is how you access Apple services and make your devices work together seamlessly. Here's how to sign in. We'll teach you how to sign in to your Apple account on iPhone, how to sign in on Mac, and how to sign in on the web.
Before you start, it's a good idea to update your device to the latest operating system. You'll also need to have your Apple account email or phone number available, as well as your password.
Let's learn how to sign in to your Apple account on your iPhone. In settings, tap Apple account. Next, choose a way to sign in. You can use another Apple device or tap "Sign in manually," which is what we're going to do. Next, enter your Apple account email or phone number, and on the keyboard, tap "Continue." Then enter your password and tap "Done" on the keyboard. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number. You also might be prompted to enter your device passcode in order to access your encrypted data in iCloud. If you've been using your device without being signed in to your Apple account, a prompt might appear asking if you'd like to merge the existing data on your device with your information in iCloud. Tap "Don't merge" if you don't want to sync the existing data with iCloud, or tap "Merge" if you do. And your device will finish signing in. Good to go!
Now let's learn how to sign in to your Apple account on your Mac. In system settings, click "Sign in" and enter your Apple account email address or phone number. Next, click "Continue." Enter your password and click "Continue" again. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number. You also might be prompted to enter the password you use to log in to your Mac to access your encrypted data in iCloud. Enter it and click "Continue." If you've been using your Mac without being signed in to your Apple account, a prompt might appear asking if you'd like to merge the existing data on your device with your information in iCloud. Click "Don't merge" if you don't want to sync the existing data with iCloud, or click "Merge" if you do, and then follow the remaining prompts. Your Mac will finish signing in, and you're ready to go.
You can sign in to your Apple account from any device, including a PC or Android device. On the web, we're using a PC to sign in on account.apple.com, where you can manage your Apple account, but the steps are the same if you're signing in to iCloud.com. Click the "Sign in" button and enter your Apple account email address or phone number. Click the arrow to the right of the text field and choose how you'd like to finish signing in. If you're using a supported browser and also have an iPhone using iOS 17 or later, you can sign in with a passkey, or click "Continue with password" to sign in using your Apple account password, which is what we'll do. Enter your Apple account password and click the arrow to the right of the password field. Last, type in the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number to finish signing in.
