Hello, my new YouTube friends. So, this is my first official official video, um, on YouTube on this channel, Crown for Overflow. So, I'm Christina Rose. I am a Christian life coach, and I spend most of my time on Instagram. So, it's at Crownforflow. If you want to follow me there, this is probably the best way to get in touch with me. Um, and stay tuned to this channel. So, I would love for you to subscribe. I know I got to get in the habit of all these things. Um, but I want to make this channel like super easy and simple and jump right into the message. But if you are a new subscriber, I want to get to know you. So, I am, I've never built on YouTube before. So, I think the best way is to just share, you know, where you're tuning in from. Just introduce yourself so I can reply to you in the comments.
So, I have my, I will always have a few outlines of notes that I want to talk about, but really, I just prayed to Jesus to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through me. Um, and I'm really excited about this message. It's almost overwhelming because there's so much gold that I want to share, and I really want to keep these videos to 10 to 15 minutes. So, I'll be producing more. Um, this is just the beginning.
So, I have been, um, hosting a virtual Bible study. It's free. If you want information, go to my Instagram. Um, I'm going to be having it for the next 3 weeks, I think, the next month. And we are walking through the book of John in the in the Gospels in the New Testament. And there's so much gold. We've broken it down into four chapters. And what I want to share with you is that I've recognized this pattern when Jesus is talking about the miracles, how these miracles are activated. And, um, there's so, there's so much gold. I, I just, it's going to take maybe a whole playlist to talk about just the revelations that I have, um, received from reading this. And the way that the miracles were activated is that it all came with taking action, following the instructions of Jesus. And so, we really think about how can we apply this to our lives.
So, let's talk about the first, you know, miracles in the first eight chapters. When he turned water into wine, when he told the man to go home, his boy, he was healed. When he, um, healed the man by the poolside that was paralyzed, they said he was lame. He, they said he was blind in the Bible for 38 years. Okay? And so, he gave them instructions that didn't make sense. Even when he, um, healed the blind man who was blind his whole life to for him to see, like they gave, he gave such s super simple instructions that didn't make sense, but when they followed that out of faith because they believed in him, they were immediately healed, right? And so, I ask myself, when I have been throughout the Gospels, it tells us not to toil. It tells us to seek the kingdom first, and all these things will be added unto you. And I had spent most of my adult life toiling, hustling, you know, working out of burn, burnout, operating out of fear, scarcity, lack. And it's not to judge myself. It's not to judge yourself, but this is kind of how we're programmed to live in fear. And it's completely opposite of what the scriptures teach us.
And so, I want to share with you, um, maybe you're facing a dilemma in your life. Like you are, maybe you're new in business like me, and you really want to grow, and you're like, I have limited resources or time or just knowledge or the know-how. So, what it is telling us through the book of John, and I think this was in chapter 8, you know, when Jesus turned, um, fed 5,000 people with the resources the young boy had with five loaves of bread and two fish, he multiplied those resources because the boy brought everything he had to Jesus. And Jesus can do things that will blow our mind. I'm living proof of this of how God has operated in my life this year. You know, I've had experiences that I didn't even know how to pray for. And I'm seeing the fruit of, like, the fruit of that surrender, you know, come into my life, um, this year. It doesn't mean I don't face adversity. It doesn't mean I don't face opposition. I absolutely definitely do. But what brings me comfort and what brings me peace is consistently going back to the word.
So, it tells us the very beginning of John, it tells us that Jesus is the word, you know, the word came in flesh. That's Jesus. So, I have spent many, many years feeling like, I can't hear you. Where are you? How do I reach you? You know, I've been going in a lot of outside directions to be like, I just, I don't know what to do. I need clarity. And what he tells us is that encountering Jesus is actually studying the word because he is the word. It is alive. It's living. It can be applied to our life. He has given me a new set of eyes to read scripture, not have it interpreted by anybody else but the Holy Spirit, you know.
And so, um, what activates miracles in our life? You get to ask yourself. This is where you get to get really, really honest with yourself, vulnerable like me, and and just be like, have I really been spending time in the word and in prayer to ask for direction, to ask for the instructions to activate the miracles in my life? And I could honestly say no. For most of my 20s and 30s, I really haven't. It wasn't until I rededicated my life in 2019 did I start going back to the word, you know. And so, I'm going to be talking about that as well. Let me know if you can relate to that. Um, but we encounter Jesus through reading scripture and just going through John again and just seeing just, um, how simple these instructions were. And I feel that a lot of times the world, culture, society complicates things and even entangles us in a lot of, um, religious systems, keeping us from actually having our own relationship with Jesus to get those instructions.
And so, this is really just a video to bring awareness to who are you, who's guiding you, who's mentoring you, who's advising you, right? Is it keeping you running in circles? Are you, you know, um, are you refreshed by what you are learning? And if not, I highly encourage you, start in the book of John. Start there. Ask the Holy Spirit in prayer, please give me a set of new eyes to see this. Speak to my heart. And let me see what else I wrote in my notes.
Um, so how we go about, um, we go to Jesus asking for the instructions. That takes faith, right? And when we actually act upon that, we have to take that step. In every single miracle, you will see Jesus told them what to do, what to do. And that's what activated the miracle. And we, um, this is where I have doubted myself because it takes faith and it takes unshakable faith to really take those next steps. So, it may seem like this doesn't even make sense, like, why am I doing this? But how you can know is allowing those, um, steps that you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you when, when it's your time reading the word, your time in prayer, your time listening to him, journaling down, writing notes, as simple as it is as this. And just allowing that to be confirmed by scripture. And sometimes for me, it's like, I think about what the Holy Spirit has spoke to me years ago, and I'm just seeing it now, right? But I just never stopped like leaning in and taking those steps one step at a time. You don't have to see the whole staircase, right? I love that quote by Dr. Martin Luther. Um, you don't have to see the whole staircase. It's just taking that one step at a time.
And so, I encourage you today to start reading in John. You know, we, we are just going and just started in John chapter 9. We're breaking it down four chapters a week. Just start reading in John. Just a chapter a day and see how the Holy Spirit guides you. I would love to know what's activated for you through this process. Encounter Jesus through reading his word. Pray over it, and that he gives you eyes to see, and then journal out the notes that he's instructing you to do. Like, just put it on a to-do list, you know. And if it feels, um, like panic, confusion, chaos, any of that, that's not from God. It will bring you peace. It will bring you peace. It will bring you excitement. It will bring you joy. It will bring you, this doesn't make sense. I need to go here. I need to go there. I need to call that person. But you do it anyways. You know, that's how we start walking in obedience. That's how we start shifting things like completely relying on the Lord to lead you with every single decision in your life. You know, because I truly trust his word that he says his plans are to prosper us, right? His plans are to turn evil for good. What the enemy used for evil, that he turns it into good, right? Even when we can't see, even if there's a huge storm going on, we always focus and stay focused on Jesus and allow that comfort of his word to bring you peace throughout the trials. There is no other way. I'm living my life. This is the path that I'm going on. I trust me, we're going to talk about it. We're going to talk about how far off the path I went, the chaos that it brought in my life, um, and how Jesus has redeemed me and I'm currently living in his redemption story.
