Collusion Strikes The Flock League

The Flock League39:04

Transcription

First off, Nathan, why the hell are you making that Tyler one?

I'm sorry. And I I feel terrible.

I'm I'm in shambles.

You no longer have the ability to call out collusion in this league.

Hey everybody, checking in on Friday here. Nico Collins just got ruled out. This is what I expected. I mean, I was coping all week thinking that he could possibly play, but with the Monday night game, so we're going to be without Nico, and I'm going to have to go dumpster diving on the waiver wire. I've been shopping Nico all week. So, honestly, maybe it's time I get serious about moving him and try and really, really try and grind a deal because I'm just really unhappy with him. It's just not good enough for my first round pick. We need to hold higher standards. I owe that to you, to all to all the members of the fan wagon. Like I said, I've been shopping Nico all week and I'm going to get serious tonight about getting a deal done.

Trade completed. My first of note in the Flock League this year. I said Mason, Nico Collins, who I'm absolutely done with. I'm so happy to have him off the roster. My first round pick. Is it a little hard to let go? No. We have high standards here. And Nico wasn't meeting them. So, we ship him off for two wide receivers, T. Higgins and Stefon Diggs. And this might have been the most seamless and quickest negotiation I've ever had for a trade. Sometimes when moves like this happen where the guy accepts the first offer you make, you feel bad about it. I don't feel bad about this at all. I feel really good about it. And yeah, I'm uh curious to see what the rest of the league thinks.

Well, I woke up this morning feeling like the Ben Affleck meme. I've never smoked a day in my life, but I I might start. Before I say anything, I just want to say that I love Sammy, but I feel like you didn't represent the land community well here. Number one, this fixes every problem for Mason's Mason's team. Truthfully, every problem Mason had, it's now fixed. And the other problem that Mason had on his roster was nobody wants Stefon Diggs. Not a soul in this league wants Stefon Diggs. Anybody, you could ask anybody in this league. Has Mason sent you a trade for Stefon Diggs? Yes. Did you have any interest in it? No. Okay. So, it fixes a problem for Mason. But in my humble opinion, this now creates a problem for Sammy. No, it doesn't create a problem for him this week, right? It's a one-week fix in my mind. But next week, if you look at his bench, he's got plenty of difficult decisions to make each and every week. Now that he's turned one player we all want to start into two players we could start depending on the matchup. I just think it's it's a one-week fix. It's against me. Maybe I'm biased, but I I think this is going to create a problem for him long term rather than fix a problem.

Also, I want to address Mason Dodd real quickly here. You no longer have the ability to call out collusion in this league. You can no longer go to the domain boys and be like, "Oh, well Avery won the championship because of collusion." Your own employee. You did this to your own employee. I don't care what any trade calculator has to say about this. By the way, I'm very anti-AI. I'm anti the robots. And of all the people that Sammy could have sent Nico Collins to, of all the people in this league he could have sent Nico Collins, Mason, you sent him to Mason. are the weekly videos of this man doing the most simple tasks and saying he's the best in the world at it. I mean, this man can make pancakes and be like, "These are the best pancakes. Your pancakes aren't as good as mine." I mean, you want to listen to that gloating. That's what you're helping Mason do, man.

All right, let me give you a little insight on how this trade went down. I'm sitting there on USPS.com and making labels, shipping flockfantasy.com hats to the true fans. And what did I get? I got a little weird Discord notification and Sammy messages me and goes, "Hey, what do you think about this? T. Higgins and Stefon Diggs for Nico Collins." I go on a little site called flockfantasy.com. I search where all the creators have Nico Collins in their rankings. I throw it in the trade calculator. I include the player I'm going to pick up off the waiver wire. He goes, "Oh, I'm going to slightly win this deal." And I look at my matchup. Of course, I have like a 90% chance to win. I'm the team of Destiny. I'm going up against Nick the freaking editor. And I go, "Oh, yeah. Um, this accomplishes a couple different things. One, it makes my team better in the long run. Two, I'm not going to have to lose this week. I can get through the Nico concussion because again, I'm the team of Destiny, best team in the league. And three, you know who's been chirping? Mr. Zachary Savage." So, I went, "Oh, my first gut reaction to Sammy was, "Oh, is this going to help you beat Zach this week?" "Yes, it is." "Oh, is it going to help me win the championship?" "Yes, it is." Sounds like a win-win to me.

And let me correct the record here from Mr. Zachary Savage. One, Sammy is not my employee. And if anybody from the IRS is watching this, I truly mean when I say that Sammy is an independent contractor. He has still never had a real job. The second thing that I need to reference is, oh, you think this makes my team a juggernaut? I'm going to win the league now, and this is collusion. Well, buddy, I can go on a little site called flockfantasy.com, pull it up, and you have Nico Collins ranked wide receiver 17th. You are crying because I traded a wide receiver two with T. Higgins, a wide receiver three with Stefon Diggs by your own rankings for a mid wide receiver two with Nico Collins by your own rankings. Don't you think that if that's how you feel, you should have Nico Collins ranked higher than wide receiver 17?

But this message goes out to everybody in my league. I was embarrassed. We were embarrassed in front of the entire world last week when we lost to bed. We are now sitting at 5-2 in the second spot in this league. Is that acceptable? No. I'm walking down the grocery store aisle and I just hear all of a sudden, "Oh, Mason, what the hell's going on in the Flock League? How have you lost two weeks? I thought you were the best at this." And I have to say I am the best at this. But my players, they don't listen. And I have to punish that. Some people lead by love. Some people lead by fear. So Cam Scataboo, you're gone. T. Higgins, you're gone. Stefon Diggs, you're gone. Romeo Doubs and Nico Collins, I hope you can live up to the expectations.

Well, I think we can all agree that Mason Dodd has a very bright mind. Why don't we dive into that bright mind? This is how the Mason Dodd clips work as a tree. Should I include context? Well, hold on. Before I record a clip, does it benefit me to include any context? Yes. Well, then let's definitely include. No. Well, then let's definitely not include that context. You know what's the funniest part about Mason sending this clip is he's literally sending a clip of my rankings that are in tears. So the player at the top of the tier and the player at the bottom of the tier, those are bucketed values, meaning I value them very similarly. So thank you for showing people that I think Nico Collins can be as high as a wide receiver 11 rest of season. It's weird that you didn't include the context of where I have T. Higgins and Stefon Diggs ranked. But if we want to go to the Flock Fantasy website, let's see where does Mason Dodd have Nico Collins ranked. Is that wide receiver 14? Surely T. Higgins and Stefon Diggs can't be too far down. Okay, hold on. Let's see. One tier. No, I don't see these names. Okay, the second tier, right? No, we don't see three tiers down. At the bottom of the tier. And honestly, like I understand why Mason is trying to come on and defend this. I've been in this position plenty of times where you make a trade where you so obviously win and then you're like, how do I approach the chat after this? So, I get why he's doing what he's doing, but to do it to the man that you employ, the man that there's money in his bank account because he's working for you. I mean, Sammy is working for Mason, but Mason's working Sammy. That's a damn shame.

You know, some people call us fantasy football experts. Some people call us, you know, professionals at our trade. Uh, some people call us geniuses. Some people call us idiots. And the reality is in the profession of fantasy football content, we are no more than just straight addicts. We are addicted to not just the game of football. We are addicted to the game about the game of football. And we make trades just left and right. The trendsetter this week was me uh who made a pretty fair deal. I did what I needed to do. And since that trade has been done, there have been three more trades that have gone down in the 48 hours since. Based on the addicts in this league, this Nico Collins trade will not be the last one of the week. Sammy, you could have done better for you.

So, nobody in the Flock League likes the trade for me. Genuinely, not a single person thinks that I made out well here. Zach and Nathan were particularly vocal about their disdain for this. And now, while I think it's fine to think that I came out on the wrong side of this, the fact that it's Mason makes it worse for them is what I'm feeling. The fact that Mason is so insufferable, it just multiplies their disdain for the trade exponentially. All this tells me is that these are a bunch of guys who haven't had to deal with Nico Collins. I'll have Nick flash up the stats from flockfantasy.com of these three guys so far this season. I just want to get off of this offense. I'd rather watch Joe Flacco and Drake May every week. And if everybody in the Flock league hates the deal, honestly, I might be happier with it now because I recall a certain Nico Collins trade at the beginning of last year also involving Mason Dodd where everybody thought that Mason won it, that Mason fleeced Danny. and how did that turn out? Also, the opinions that I actually care about are you guys. And what I heard from y'all in the comments on my channel is that you love the deal for me. So, I'm really happy with this. I'm excited to have both of these guys, T. Higgins and Stefon Diggs, in my lineup this week. Hopefully, they can carry me to a victory over Mr. Zack Savage. Revenge for him hating on my trade.

You were the chosen one. It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. Sunday morning, the Drake London is out notification hits. It's all coming up. Sammy.

Oh man, I love waking up early for this stuff, man. I just love fantasy football. Bright and early 4 a.m. I can't wait to watch Jaden Daniels and Bucky Irving and Drake London and all these guys in my line. No, wait, wait a second. No. So wait, Zach, you traded Puka Nacua two weeks ago because he was injured and you needed players to play. And Jaden Daniels, you had two quarters of him. Drake London had a shitty game and now he's out. Bucky's still dead. Fantasy football's fun, right guys? Right, guys? We're doing this 'cause it's fun. We're all having fun, right? Try to get a deal done before the kickoff. Uh, a lot of terrible offers. People are offering me Marvin Mims for Trey Benson. The other people I will protect because their offers were terrible. But our lineup, I mean, you don't there's not a single player you can point to that you're confident in this week. So, fantasy football, it's fun, right guys? Deon Henry continues to carry the [ __ ] out of the fan wagon. He is my only good player.

Oh, welcome to the club. Scataboo. T. Higgins 50-some yard touchdown. Nico Collins who? Oh my god. I cannot believe T. Higgins in the end zone. Maybe we never needed Drake London anyway. Maybe that's all this team needed. And just like that, my season is officially over. Uh, lost my running back, too. Absolutely awful uh for Cam Scataboo. A lot of other teams in this league in shambles right now, and I uh cannot escape the injury bug either.

Cam Scataboo just went down basically with a season-ending injury and what's crazy is that I'm playing him against Nathan. My season's already over and I'm a Giants fan. I would have rather have Cam not break his ankle and me lose another fantasy week because why it doesn't matter to me. I'm one and I'm one and six. I love my team so much more rather than my fantasy team at this moment specifically of course. But I'm sorry, Nathan. I'm sorry. And I I feel terrible, man. Just an absolute awful injury for Cam Scataboo. I don't want to overreact or anything, but it feels like injuries are worse this year than they've ever been. It feels like we're in a Madden simulation and someone turned the injury slider all the way up to 100. And for Cam Scataboo, man, that's a terrible injury.

It brings me no joy. Legitimately no joy to bring this up, but why did I trade away Cam Scataboo earlier in the week? Oh, Nick, can you please rewind? Baby? All right. Well, that was very embarrassing. Okay, but Nick, anyway, can you please rewind to what we said? Wanted to offload risk. In my mind, I'm taking a lot of risk off the table, right? He's a torpedo. He uses his head as a weapon.

Look, there are some unwritten rules to fantasy football that I think most of us know. Most of us, I say most of us because I don't think Mason Dodd knows them. And one of those unwritten rules is uh just to be a good human being. You just don't victory lap injuries. But Mason found a way. He found a way to do it. There he is, fellas. Right on cue. Cornball. Mason knew all along that Cam Scataboo was going down. Nick, I want you to play the clip of me saying earlier this week that Mason has only benefited from injuries because this dude is the luckiest [ __ ] I've ever met in my life. But for some reason, just the way that Mason's season has gone so far, if you look at Mason's roster, guy hasn't had one injury, nothing. No, nothing has gone wrong for his roster. The fact that he trades Cam Scataboo away the week he blows his ankle out is absolutely insane to me. So, I go and check the drive. The first thing after the Cam Scataboo injury and Jocker, we got Mason in there tapping his noggin like he knew that Cam Scataboo's ankle was going to split in half. Nice.

Just like in the NFL they say, you know what, you have to go on to the next play. You have to put the bad play behind or the emotions aside. And that's exactly what I'm doing. Even though I don't have Cam Scataboo, I'm putting that emotions to the side and saying, you know what, on to the next thing. And the next thing was Chase Brown downtown scoring a touchdown, which is great. Which gives me a chance. Now, no Cam Scataboo for Nathan. That is going to hurt him. Um, not only in this game, but for the long haul. But I'm not going to victory lap. Why? Because I've done that early in this season in the first couple weeks, and it bit me in the butt. So, I'm going to stay levelheaded and just hope for the best moving forward.

And I'm about to get absolutely cooked by not about I am just getting cooked. See you all next year when I am sitting in Denny's for 24 hours because I can't eat pancakes.

Shakira, see you're telling me there's a chance.

I got to say I hope that Khalil Shakir scores 20 more touchdowns this year just so we can keep seeing Bucky do his little dance. I love it.

Stefon Diggs, welcome to the fan wagon. We are so happy to have you, bro. I'm sitting here and I'm watching Isaiah Davis rip off a 50-yard run.

Isaiah Davis for the Devs has triple the amount of fantasy points of my first round pick Robinson right now. What the hell is going on?

Man coverage, which they don't normally do. Today they haven't played nearly as much and they played way more zones.

You've got to be kidding me. I traded away Quinon Judkins. I feel like a piece of crap for trading away Quinon. And now Quinon Judkins is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. No one in this league can win. No one in this league can win. This is just unbelievable.

And just to add insult to injury, fellas, now Quinchon Judkins is questionable to return. Let's uh do a little riddle here. There were three players traded. Romeo Doubs, Cam Scataboo, Quinchan Judkins. Can you guess which one Mason ended up with? Yeah, the one that's not injured of the other three. Very fun fantasy football experience for everybody involved. Rest up, Quin Sean. We'll see you in Valhalla.

You know, I hate to be that guy to, you know, bring up an injury to a player that's not on my team, but you know, I mean, I tried to tell you I tried to tell you that Saquon was going to pull his hamstring. And Mason, you suck. This is what you've been doing all year, dude. It was only a matter of time. It was only a freaking matter of time.

All right, early window has concluded and we have a little lead on Zach, almost 20 points. I have JK Dobbins in the late window. He has Jake Ferguson, Alvin Kamara, Brandon Aubrey, and the Colts defense. So, this window is big for us. Hopefully, a big game from Dobbins against that awful Cowboys run. And then Zach has Jakori Kroski Merritt on Monday night. So, I'm feeling like I need at least a 10-point, 8 to 10-point lead going into Monday to feel comfortable. Bo picks. Bo. Bix. Oh my god, dude. I had to win this week. Like, I absolutely had to. No JSN, no AJ Brown, no J.K. Dobbins. And I'm still projected to win, but like dude, just once I would like a Monday night football game where I don't have to sweat something out. And it appears we're headed for that. I'm wearing the Igbuka jersey because I need to summon my rookie to get me a little bit of a lead here. The Devs are within striking distance. They got Romeo Doubs, Courtland Sutton. My only real hope here is that Igbuka and Chase McLoughlin can give me some breathing room because I would really, really like to not have to sit and clench my ass shut all of Monday Night Football hoping that Travis Kelce doesn't get like 11 points or something. What would be great is if I have like a 35-point lead or something. But uh, yeah, the Devs, shout out to you guys, man. Isaiah Davis, what a call. Great starts all around for them. And um, I am just on the [ __ ] end of the stick right now. The best player in fantasy football, Jonathan Taylor. When I needed him most, another touchdown. And for the people who say, "Oh, Sal's always out doing stuff." Oh my god, I can't believe he's the one person in the fantasy football industry who has a social life outside of work. He doesn't watch the games. What's that? A quad box on a Sunday. Must be a mistake. Broncos are at the goal line. This has to be JK Dobbins. Come on, JK. Give it to him. Go. No. Come on, GK. Give it to him. Go. Get in the end zone. Push him. Push him. He's in. He's in. Let's go. They're ruling him short. They're actually saying he's short. They're saying forward progress. Oh my god, dude. Oh my god. Two Harvey touchdowns. But there's nothing like Troy Franklin turning into Jamar Chase and dropping 20 plus on your head. It's nothing like it. It's a really good feeling. Real nice feeling to see Chase Brown turn into freaking Derrick Henry. A blast watching James Cook just look like LT all at the same time all in the same week. Been a, you know, great phenomenal year. So done with this league.

Now I'm going to be honest. McCaffrey got less than 25 points for like the first time this year. He didn't even get 10 points. I was sweating a little bit. Sweating a little bit. Then Jonathan Taylor had his first touchdown. Looked like we were going to have a 50-50 close end to these four o'clock games. We have nobody on Sunday and Monday night until Jonathan Taylor said, "Let me just end this game for you." S with an 80-yard touchdown run. Just like that, 14 fantasy points. I absolutely now have the victory over Thomas. We're moving to seven and one. We're hoping to potentially take a two or three-game lead over most of the other players in this league. But the thing that I want to talk about is I mean, we're getting to the point now we're more than halfway through the season once next week kicks off where we have to start looking at how many games until you clinch the playoffs in the Flock League. If I indeed, which I will move to seven and one, I'll be three games up on a playoff spot. Three games up with a points tiebreaker is basically four games up for the most part. Three and a half, whatever you want to call it. Now it's all about clinching that playoff spot and then securing one of these top two buys with another win this week only going to help that goal. Oh, hey. Um, me again. The kicker of my fantasy team has three 50-plus yard field goals. God bless kickers.

It was the fourth quarter of the Colts game. I was already highly likely to win this matchup against Thomas. We're talking 98, 99%. And I see Jonathan Taylor is still in the game and I'm like, yo, get this guy out of the game. The last thing I need is an injury when it doesn't matter. You're up 24 points in the fourth quarter. What do they do? At first it looks like a run, but it's a pooch pass. 20-yard touchdown for Jonathan Taylor. He now has three touchdowns, I think, in four games this year. He almost has 40 fantasy points. So even on a day where McCaffrey doesn't reach 10 points, if there were questions and doubts about, oh, this team is only two running backs that S has with Trey McBride on bye and Christian McCaffrey doing nothing in fantasy today, we're still going to drop 140 fantasy points. Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time this year, yours truly, for the first time, can say I have secured a W before Sunday Night and Monday Night Football because it doesn't matter what happens moving on, there is a comfortable enough lead for me to say I have gone 2-0 in the past two weeks and something special is happening. Hope is coming back. She's a beautiful, sexy, curvaceous, gorgeous girl and she comes back every single week. Let's go.

Afternoon games are over and I'm just, you know, weekly Sunday ritual watching my uh favorite YouTuber and um honestly those late those late games went about as good as they possibly could. Jake Ferguson, goose egg, Alvin Kamara, Brandon Aubrey, Colts defense combined for like less than 20, less than 15. Now puts us in a situation where if Jakori Kroski Merritt doesn't score, I think it is 11.8 points, we win this week. So, I don't know how much you guys know about Zach, but there is nothing Zach loves more than a Monday night sweat. Well, we were having one of our better starts to fantasy football this entire year in the first slate. Before the second slate began, we had like a 90% chance or something to win. It was it was very high and it made sense logically, right? Then in the second slate, we had Alvin Kamara, Jake Ferguson, Brandon Aubrey, and the Colts defense. And those four combined for less than 20 points. Now, I got to rely on Jakori Kroski Merritt getting 12 points on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs defense. I feel like I'm almost guaranteed to lose.

Okay, you haven't really heard from me all day because my matchup has been on lockdown mode. Like I thought I was winning this by a mile. I mean, we were projected to score the most points in the league. Tell me why we are almost halfway through with Monday Night Football. Josh Jacobs, DK Metcalf have done nothing. And it looks like I have a chance to choke this away. I swear y'all thought I made crazy trades last week. Just wait, Metcalf. Just wait, Jacobs. If you don't get your ass out there in the second half and start putting up points, we're going to have a problem.

Parker Craft. Oh my god, look at this man rumble. What are we doing? 33 points from a tight end again. Like, why do I have to have these generational games from these players when they play my squad? I literally just wanted an easy win. Can't happen. Can't happen. 33 points from Tucker Craft. One of us. One of us. One of us. One of us.

So, I made the trade with Nathan. We have been talking about a Benson trade for a while. I think the Scataboo injury just crushed this whole. Understandably so. Honestly, we've both been through a ton of injuries. Honestly, I think this trade like I'm really happy with the way this trade makes my team look. If my entire team was healthy, this team would be a legit force to be reckoned with. Just know nobody's healthy. So, so it's Monday morning and the Devs gave me a nice little sweat last night. Uh Romeo Doubs and Courtland Sutton. I was really worried they were going to close that gap, but shout out to my kicker for ripping up a 17 bomb and making me feel a little bit better about our win today. Travis Kelce, if he goes beyond 25.05 fantasy points, I would lose tonight. Looking around the league, it looks like Zack and Sammy are in a fight. Avery should hold on against uh Danny. It looks like he's going to stay above me in the standings going to five and three as well. Vidaki shout out climbing out of the basement with another win. And Nick is going to drop to last place in the league here. Mason looks like he will hold on and stay in second place. and then S widening his lead in first place there. So, looks like we're going to be in fourth place assuming we hold on tonight against the Devs and uh setting up a big matchup against the Suddenly 2-0 in the last two weeks. Bodaki going in to next week. I think it's important that we further discuss what's at stake tonight. Not only is it a 4-4 record with the loser falling to three and five, but Monday night specifically is really important here. I don't It's been talked about how Zack Zach has had a Monday night sweat so many times this year and it's crazy how it's been. I don't think you guys fully understand the pain on Monday that this guy has been through so far this year. This is going to be the sixth week out of eight where Zach has had a Monday night sweat. So, it's safe to say Monday nights have not been kind to Zach and we just need that trend to continue.

Okay, so second trade between Zach and I uh goes down in the clock league within 24 hours. And I know how exciting two guys that are not going to be in the playoffs making trades, but there's a whole story. There's a whole backstory behind this. Basically, heading into Sunday, Drake London like an hour before the game is declared to be out. So I, you know, try to be cute and I'm like, "Okay, let's let's flex Darnell Mooney instead of Xavier Worthy." The day progresses, Baki is cooking me. I'm in shambles. I lose Cam's Scataboo, you know, and the the rest is history with the first trade, right? I have to make this move to get like some semblance of an upside shot at running back with Benson long term. What people don't realize with the negotiations in this trade is for about 4 hours I was trying to convince Zach to move Worthy instead of Addison. Then we get to the end of the games on Sunday and Zach is now in a position where he's 12 points away from a victory and he has JCM in his flex spot. So, we essentially come full circle back here where where Zach is like, "Okay, I'm actually in a position to win." And am I really going to depend on JCM over Xavier Worthy who's just in a better offense? We'll see if the bet pays off, but he essentially he changes his mind, which I totally respect. He's trying to go for the dub. He's trying to take the upside shot tonight.

So, people are saying that this is a desperation move by me to trade for Xavier Worthy. Absolutely. Of course. Like, how could you read it any other way? Yes, it's a desperation move. There's no question about it. Look, I prefer Addison over Worthy rest of season. Of course, it's a desperation move, guys. The difference between being three and five versus four and four cannot be overstated. I don't know how anyone who has watched the Commanders, and I say this as someone who loves him, can convince themselves that there are any signs that this team is going to do well tonight. Remember the um how the Dallas Cowboys fell apart this week? They looked like absolute dog [ __ ]. That's the team that dogwalked us last week. Okay, it's just there's too much buffoonery and potential [ __ ] going on for me to rely on JCM tonight. Unfortunately, I need 12 points and my confidence is higher in Worthy doing that because Worthy can do that on one touch. And yeah, I will be absolutely furious if I end up looking like a fool and JCM ends up putting up 12 points. I think we have to do this. So, is what it is. Let's wrap.

Zach makes two last-minute trades to try to stay in this. First off, Nathan, why the hell are you making that Tyler Warren trade? Literally no idea what it accomplishes. You're just bailing Zach out. And then you actually have him bailing on Jakori Kroski Merritt. Smart move. And Zach trades for Xavier Worthy to start tonight. I'm rooting for the fan, but the funniest outcome possible would be Xavier Worthy under 12 points and Jakori Kroski over.

Danny has Isaiah Pacheco and My wide receiver is wind up at running back right now. Danny can't even get his guy on the field. My wide receiver is taking his running back snaps. That's brutal, Danny. That's brutal, buddy.

Xavier Worthy has 3.7 points at halftime. One play where he caught a 27-yard pass. Rooting for a player to do poorly is so much less fun. So, let's just have another half just like that. And then I can just go to 500, four and four, and just sleep well. Oh, this is great. Kelce touchdown. There is a small, small chance that the Devs pull up this upset over Cory. And y'all know if FSE doesn't have any haters, that means I am dead in the grave. So, I'm rooting for the Devs here. And oh, I I don't know how many points they need. Let's just figure this out together. They were down by 11. I mean, they came into this game with no shot. And yeah, now they just need three more points. Let's go Dev team.

Travis Kelce [ __ ] me for 17 straight weeks last year because I drafted this guy in the third round and now I'm up 25 points coming into tonight and the guy has 21.9 and there's still a full quarter of football left. I fear the Dev team may cook me here. This this could be done. I'm I'm in shambles. Okay, there's a quarter left. I have a 5 and 12-point lead. The Chiefs are up 14. They do not need to throw the ball anymore. Isaiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt, Bashard Smith, I don't care. Run the ball. This is the biggest drive that we've had so far this season. It's the fourth quarter right now. You have Zach three Xavier Worthy points away from taking down the fan. You have the Devs three Travis Kelce points away from taking down Cory. Honestly, I'm rooting for Kelce. I want the fan and I want the Devs to win. You know, I'm rooting against every creator that's not yours truly. Well, it looks like this is in the books, unfortunately. Um, JCM 2 and 1/2 points. Kind of what I thought was going to happen. Xavier Worthy. We needed one more catch. Um, yeah, it's going to be another loss. I'm thinking about all the things that could have happened where we could have won this game if Jake Ferguson could have given me a single catch. If the Colts could have not given up one garbage time touchdown. But ultimately, uh, it is what it is. So, Zach just lost by one point after making the trade for Xavier Worthy to plug into his lineup this week. I I I think we should probably all be calling Zach and making sure he's okay. Maybe we ping Madaki and Madaki can go over there and check on Zack. Zack, just remember, it's not always as bad as it seems, man. You know, you've got a lot of things to live for in this life. uh, you know, you've got your hats and um the kangaroos there and such. So, just know that this is still better than the alternative and everybody here loves you, Zach. We We love you. Take it one day at a time, one step at a time, man. Ladies and gentlemen, what a sweat. Whole the worst way to watch football. The absolute worst way to watch football. That sucks. But we hold on for the win. Respect to Zack. GG's. As for the fan wagon, we are four and four. We're in the hunt for the playoffs. We need the strength and power of the people behind the fan wagon going into week nine. Let's go.

Holy crap, dude. That took years off of my life. Honestly, I I survived. We're going to five and three. I'm watching Shohei Ohtani do otherworldly [ __ ] to my Blue Jays, simultaneously clenching my ass cheeks shut for Travis Kelce to not catch another pass. After that touchdown, I thought I was a goner, man. We survived. We're on to week number nine. We're five and three. We're going to be fourth in the standings. And I think we're in really good shape. But that was scary, man. That was freaking scary. You know what? We don't spend enough time doing reflecting on my greatness. Like, let's go back and let's look. Yeah, maybe Baki beat me last week. Well, apparently Bodaki is one of the best teams in the league now. He just scored the most points in the league. So, we decide to shake some things up. We trade the combination of Cam Scataboo, T. Higgins, and Stefon Diggs for Nico Collins and Romeo Doubs. Maybe you can call me Houdini. Maybe, maybe, maybe. I had a little bit of a bad feeling 'cause Cam's Scataboo is now effectively a zero. So, if we just revisit those trades, we sent Stefon Diggs and T. Higgins for Nico Collins and Romeo. Team of Destiny Way the hell up. Six and two. And this is when our battle really begins.

All right, week eight is officially in the books and we have two heartbreaking losses and one upset of the week. And let's get straight into the matchup. Going into the first heartbreak, Bush versus the Devs. The Devs lose by just three points. They needed Travis Kelce on Monday night against the Washington Commanders to get two more catches and it just didn't happen. And Bush takes on the W. He's going to be advancing to five and three where the Devs are falling to four and four. The second matchup, short and sweet. Thomas the editor versus S. I mean S. What an absolute juggernaut. Mason Dodd versus Nick the editor. I'm sorry Nick. I mean there's just nothing happening for your team. Mason advances to five or six and two and then Nick falling to one and seven. Avery versus Danny Lad. Over 150 fantasy points there. He is the highest scoring of the week. Avery advancing to five and three. All right, our next matchup, which is our second heartbreak of the week. My co-host, Zack versus Sammy Stack. Zack falls by losing to Sammy by 1.5 fantasy points this week. It is so so rough, so so tough for him. Look, he trades for Jordan Addison, Tyler Warren, and and all these other players throughout the week. Then he trades Jordan Addison away for Xavier Worthy because he had JCM in the lineup and Xavier Worthy drops 10.3. Man, that is a heartbreaker. All right, going to the last matchup of the week. That is yours truly versus Nathan Schmidt. And this is also the upset of the week. I take home the W. I am 2-0 in the neck in the past two weeks, which is so exciting. Meaning I am no longer in the bottom of the leaderboard. And hey, that means I'm only one game behind not being last in the league as a creator because I don't want to be at Denny's. And recapping the league standings after week eight, Sal is at the very top by himself, essentially securing himself a bye in the playoffs. Mason at 6-2 who is also essentially securing himself a bye-week as well. Now we have Avery and Bush who are both five and three. Then you have the guys that are sitting all tied in. Danny, Thomas, and Sammy, who are four and four. Then Nathan and Zach are both three and five. Now, that is pretty crucial to me. Why? Because I'm now two and six. And that means I'm only one game behind them, getting away from the bottom, and not going to Denny's as the creator. And then obviously we have Nick at 1-7. So, anything is possible. There is still hope out there. If you are 1-7, 2-6, you can still make the playoffs. You just have to go perfect. Good luck.

This one goes out to Nick after Rashi Rice's 24th point of the night. I can't thank you enough for giving him to me because I really wanted to win this league again and getting 15 points every time Mahomes throws to Rice for a touchdown. I mean, there's no better feeling in the world. So, shout out to Nick. I love you, buddy. I'm sorry you had to sell him. Shout out to all the people who said I lost that trade, too. Did you really think I was going to make a trade that I would lose? You know, while like half the league had a sweat on Monday Night Football, you know, came down to the final drive, the final pass, Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, will they get it? Neither of them did. I'm sitting there thinking, I don't care about any of this. I'm just still wondering how Nick, the editor, gave away Rashi Rice as he's scoring his third touchdown in two weeks. He gets tackled at the one, almost has a fourth touchdown in two weeks, 90 receiving yards, whatever it is at this point. He gives Rashi Rice and Javonte Williams, the two best players on his team at that point in time. Gifts them to Avery for like Quinton Johnston. I I mean, what do we Nick is going to be in the loser's toilet bowl game. He's going to lose because his team is atrocious. Again, he traded his two best players away for Quinton Johnston. And he's going to be at the Waffle House challenge in Austin, Texas. And as somebody who's trying to compete and win this league, when I see Avery with a juggernaut team right now with Rashi Rice only trending up by the week, I'm looking at this like I cannot wait for Nick to be at that Waffle House having to do the challenge there all day. Who knows 12, 16 plus hours. I mean, I might hire a homeless guy, pay him to just sit right next to Nick and bother him the entire time. I'll pay him double the pay if he doesn't take a shower for two weeks and just absolutely stinks because I am so I'm so frustrated with Nick just gifting his two best players to Avery right now. He deserves to lose this week. He deserves to lose every single week up until the toilet bowl where he also deserves to lose.

He gets a blank ridiculous downfield. Caught five touchdowns to the field for the season where he does.
