Richard Trumman's here again, Artificial Lawyer TV doing another product walk through. Uh, this week we are looking at Legal On and to tell us more about some of its key features is Daniel, the CEO. How you doing, Dan?

>> Right. Well, um, we've got a lot to get through and there's plenty that Daniel's going to tell you about. I shall come back in time honor fashion and, uh, but for now, please, Daniel, take it away.
>> Awesome. I'm excited to share more about Legal Online. So, just by way of intro, I've spent the better part of the last decade talking with in-house legal teams about what makes their jobs hard, and the answer is pretty consistent. It's we don't have the time or people to do it all. And that's the kind of work and situation that Legalon is built for. We are AI for in-house legal and we help teams with the tasks that take up time, contracts, intake, day-to-day questions from the business and we help turn that work uh turn it around faster, make it more consistent and make it easier to scale. So today I want to show you a real shift in what's possible for in-house legal teams and enabled by our product.
When I joined Legalon several years ago, the mission was simple. Contractor review is one of the biggest pain points for in-house lawyers and the existing tools weren't solving it. So we built a product that combined real legal expertise, attorney drafted playbooks, practical guidance, preferred language, and we put that with AI that could apply it in seconds. And we became a global leader in contract review. And we're now used by 8,000 plus organizations around the world. We've grown by 4x uh over the last 3 years. And as we grew, here's what happened. Once we sped up review, the bottlenecks around it became impossible to ignore. Uh missing details in the intake process, documenting standards, coordinating across teams, capturing records in one place. All of that is necessary work and it's not what lawyers want to spend their judgment on. So we expanded beyond review into building a broader legal productivity platform and that connects the full workflow intake and matter management review and redlinining an assistant for everyday legal work and vault uh which is an intelligent repository for post signature contract management. A big part of that platform is now a new execution layer too specialized AI agents that can carry out multi-step tasks and complete work end to end. They run inside legalon in the workflows that your team is already using and they're under attorney control and they actually do whole pieces of work for you. Today I'm going to show you a few of these agents and how they connect with key parts of the platform like review, like our assistant and matter management.
So, I want to get started by quickly orienting you to legal onre um where teams can review redline contracts, review and redline contracts with AI that's grounded in expert playbooks covering thousands of legal issues and each team's legal standards. So, to get started, you can select review from the home screen or you can open up an existing contract. The review process works the same way in our Word addin, allowing you to integrate Legalon into your existing workflow, whether you use Word online or the desktop version. Now that we're in the review panel, we have two options for this review. We can use legalon playbooks or my playbooks. And legal on playbooks are our expertubuilt offering supporting dozens of different contract types tailored to identify risks for both buy side and sellside positions. You just select the contract type you're reviewing and here legal on identified it as an MSA. But legal teams will also often have their own business specific standards. So our my playbooks feature allows you to create alerts that highlight the provisions that matter most to your team. So today we're working from the counterparties MSA. So I'm going to select our buy side MSA playbook. In seconds, Legalon will use these playbooks and automatically conduct a first pass review identifying whether your positions are met or unmet and it will bring you to the relevant source language in the contract and provide a rationale for the reasoning. Here you can see that the agreement has language stating that the payment is due on the invoice date and we want this to be net30. And for any issue that's unmet, you can click AI revise to make a precise red line with one click. Um, you can see here walking through a couple alerts that are met and each provides rationale and reasoning for it as well. Now alongside your standards, Legalon will also look for risks and negotiation points from our expert playbooks. And so this since this is a routine MSA, we can filter those to just show you the the high importance alerts as well. The first issue pointed out is a one-sided indemnification provision and the legal on playbooks provide a suggestion, favorable sample language and expert guidance detailing the strategic implications for negotiating that that position. You can click AI revise to make a precise red line.
Okay. So now let me shift to show you the legal and assistant and this is connected uh it connects your knowledge across the platform. The way to think about the assistant is it's your personal legal AI that knows your contracts, your repository, your standards and it can help you with everyday legal work. It can perform analysis across the documents you're working with, trusted legal sources um on the web, uh your repository of contracts and matters in your matter management system. So imagine an IP ownership question came up regarding this MSA. We could start with a simple question like who will own the IP developed under this agreement and the assistant will come back after reviewing the contract give you an answer. Now if you want to find language in your contract repository you can ask find language in my executed contracts where IP belongs to the customer in a service contract. And here the assistant cites the exact contracts it pulls from making it easy to trace every answer back to its source. And this is useful on its own, absolutely. But it's also even more powerful when you combine the assistant with action. So let me show you what I mean. Here you can see I'm asking it to use this language to draft a revision to IP ownership under this contract. And the assistant will generate that language, insert it into the contract, show you where those revisions are made, and it inserts a precise red line. Um, the the last thing I want to note here is with the assistant, you can also save your workflows and your prompts in our prompt library. Things like reviewing corporate information and making changes to an agreement, reviewing and cleaning up defined terms and more. So, these can be saved to just your account or shared across your whole team.
Okay, now you've seen legal on review and assistant. Let's jump into the playbook agent. Because reviewing contracts quickly is one thing, but reviewing them consistently against your standards is where AI can also unlock new value and really help you scale with technology. One of the challenges in practice is those standards are scattered in cheat sheets, word docs, spreadsheets, templated language, and a lot of institutional knowledge that lives in people's heads. So turning that into something structured and optimized for AI can take a lot of work. it can take days or or weeks. So that's why we built the playbook agent. It turns your negotiation standards and your cheat sheets and templates into AI ready prompts. So um you can deploy all of that quickly into review and redlinining. Here is an example of a set of standards um that a legal team might have. So you open up this agent showing you this set of standards the team might have um for a byside SAS playbook. And you can see it includes acceptable positions for a team's most negotiated terms, limitations of liability, IP, data protection, so on. So I drag and drop that into legalon and import the document. And from there, the agent analyzes the structure, the topics, the language in the file, and it produces a fully structured playbook that is optimized for AI contractor view. So what you see here is is that output, a playbook canvas that's ready to go. The agent has taken that original document and converted it into clear playbook instructions grounded directly in source snippets from the uploaded playbook. It's extracted model language, fallback positions, alternatives, and other key guidance. And from here, it's as simple as reviewing that canvas, making any tweaks you want, and then clicking finalize. And those rules now become alerts that you can run anytime, anytime you review MSAs going forward, just like I showed you uh, you know, a minute or so ago. So, here we are. We're back in the review screen. you're selecting my playbooks and now you get to use this new playbook that you just created in the agent. Um, so again, all you need to do is open it within the app or use it within Microsoft Word and you're ready to get going. We will spot issues and apply changes based on your specific playbook. You can see AI revise here making a change for you.
Okay. Um, now for organizations operating across borders, many contracts arrive in foreign languages. And so this naturally leads to the next agent I want to demonstrate, which is our new translation agent. And this tool is really valuable for any team that is working with international counterparties. With the translation agent, I can upload the contract in its original language. Here you can see it's in Japanese. I can instantly translate it into English and begin reviewing it against my playbook using Legalon's AI contract review technology. So we'll hit review. And here you can see legal on identifying issues and applying precise red lines all in English. And the translation agent works directly inside these workflows. It supports multil- language review across dozens of languages. And once the review is complete, uh those red lines are translated back into the original language but preserving legal meaning and intent. And so the the critical thing here to mention is that the entire contract is not re-ransated. only the specific red lines edited are translated back. Other translation tools translate the entire document and that can introduce word choice differences and other unintended changes. And so the the proprietary approach that we've built is really unique to us and it's it's legalra AI translation that empowers teams to work across languages uh with a lot more confidence and without losing legal precision. So you can see on the left, notice the edits I made in English now appear very cleanly in the original contract. And what once might have taken days of translation, review, and back and forth can now happen in just a couple minutes without legal without leaving legal on and with a very precise level of control. Okay?
So now everything I've shown you so far happens after the legal team has the contract in hand. But the reality is that huge amounts of time get eaten up before that in the intake process. requests come in incomplete or unclear and legal teams spend a lot of time chasing down missing information instead of moving matters forward. How how often has it been the case that a legal team sets up an intake form that the sales team then immediately tries to bypass by just emailing the legal team directly? So, Legalon's intake agent changes that. The intake agent gathers missing information automatically before matters reach the legal queue and that reduces the back and forth. It slows teams down. So here for example, a business stakeholder requests an NDA review by the legal team and the intake agent recognizes the request to the legal team doesn't have all the information required to process it. So as you can see here, the requester didn't include um a due date, transaction details, and the draft for review. And the intake agent assesses that proactively contacts the sender by email to collect it. And the intake agent is really the front door for this whole uh ecosystem. And you can see all of that uh conversation taking place now here in your matter management view before you ever even get to the matter as the lawyer. So behind the scenes, this is driven by your your intake and matter management configuration. The system can map the fields that you want to require. Things like due date, uh counterparty, urgency, estimated deal value. You can configure this however you want based on what matters for your team. And then when a business user submits a request, the intake agent will analyze it against those requirements that you've set out. You can see here I'm just building a form like an intake form. And this form can live via oop, sorry. This form can live via a URL. So you can share it with your team. They can access this via the web. But this form also powers the email interaction that the agent will do for you when requests come in in an unstructured way. And so just going back to that, you can you can see that here. It will take this structure that you've created for it um and ask and answer those questions for you. So once it's complete, it delivers that record to the legal queue ready for your team to pick up without any back and forth.
So um let me bring it back to the big picture. In-house legal teams are asked to run with speed and judgment and limited resources. That's not new. But what is new is that for the first time they really have a powerful new way to work with AI. Speeding up tasks that used to take hours and enabling them to take on projects that were previously too time consuming or expensive to be practical. The way that I now think about it and describe it to customers is you can ask what can I hire legalon to do right review contracts against your standards respond to business requests translate and redline agreements. The platform works in dozens of different languages. You can review contracts across dozens of different languages. We offer tailored um, and expert guidance for multiple jurisdictions um, including Japan, the United States, and the UK. In the next couple of weeks, we're expanding that to another 22 jurisdictions. So, more countries where we will have tailored expert guidance that powers AI review. So, places like Germany, Italy, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand. Um, so we are very much at the forefront in building this jurisdiction specific guidance into AI contract view. that you can work across languages and do it with a very high level of confidence that the AI is being grounded in legally valid and and trustworthy content.
