So Mercury is the carrier of information. He is the messenger, the messenger that, when we understand astrology in its most basic, broad, fundamental way, a messenger that brings a message. The messages from the organs, the individual body parts, to the brain itself. And the brain receives these messages and pilots the body around to fulfill the needs of these organic needs. So Mercury is the information that goes to our head. So many times we have to look at how are we doing physically. It's a lot of information at the state of things, the state of our our being. Many times can neglect to understand.
So Mercury is, um, the everyday. It is the opinion, our personal point of view. Let me close the shades because I can hear an approaching delivery truck. What I need to do is bring the outside back inside so I can put that together, put them in the back of the house. And I teach. So, uh, when we have, uh, Mercury in transit, we're looking at how are pieces of information or communication, um, ways that we can solve problems. How is that in relationship to a certain need or expression? These are not the sexiest transits. And all transits of Mercury to other planets, um, are going to involve some kind of, uh, yeah, either enhanced [Music] or, uh, or conflict, uh, uh, more conflict-filled or, uh, mystery-filled communication. So we can actually come to some epiphanies when we do have the three transits. But these are not transits that we associate with the beginning of relationships. Sometimes we can associate them with the beginning friendships, our relationships. So we find an uncommon environment.
So when we have the conjunction, we are starting a new cycle of how to get our personal point across and how to assert ourselves. So an initiatory quality to things because the sun is Mercury to the Sun. We have Mercury to the Sun transiting Mercury to the Sun is an initiative, uh, that we want to take. So we want to be at the center of things, and we are expressing ourselves with, um, with with style, in our, in a way that we feel like we are getting to communicate what's really going on, who we really are, and what we really want. So we are sewing the seeds of better, more clear, concise, authentic personal expression. That's what Mercury is enhancing and delivering and working on. Planet that's working on the NAL. We may attract attention, and in fact, we like to do that with this particular conjunction. And it may be somebody that has something to offer us in terms of promotion or attention. Uh, it could be somebody that, it's often somebody that is a boss or an authority figure or a superior. So we are, um, bold in how we're putting ourselves out there, how we're asserting ourselves, how we're showing up, and we're getting the kind of confident attention, assurance that gives us a sense that, yeah, we're on the right track. So, so we make an impression. We will stand up for ourselves. And I think that's where we get a lot of the good recognition is that people are viewing us as, you know, somebody that is, um, you know, willing to say what they mean and mean what they say and accept some of those consequences. So it does make a good impression on those who, you know, have an expectation that have an expectation of strength or an expectation that we can't shoulder some amount of responsibility.
All righty, so let's look at the sextile. This is a busy day. It is a day where we are, um, making many connections, having more, uh, than average interactions with people, feeling pretty darn good about, uh, where it is that we're going. This is a confident, uh, day. Although it is not, uh, not not the strongest influence, but we do speak our opinions pretty confidently. If we speak our mind pretty confidently, we may be able to come to some kind of solution, a practical, useful solution to a problem. Humility is a little bit easier to come by when it comes to considering other people's opinions. That's the influence of the sextile on the sun. Uh, so discussions that involve others, um, we're much more flexible about letting in other people's opinions. Our decisions are more colored by, uh, you know, having a variety of sides, looking at a variety of sides, um, not just looking for one person. In, um, it's an easy day to assume kind of smaller amount of, uh, or, uh, just taking on a little bit more than we usually would in terms of showing what we can do, showing up in the workplace, showing up around the house. Uh, it is a day when we will feel like a lot of people want to get in touch with us or hold of us or, or we'll have a few people that may need service from us or may need something from us. So that contributes to the busyness of this particular day. So we can have information reach us, be involved in communications that might be consequential. Often are. It, it's not like, like the most consequential, like we'll receive our cancer diagnosis on that day. It's not something that we associate with, you know, the most critical information ever. But, you know, we'll have this on a couple of days of the year, the sextile, and it can, the information that we need to know, it is more important. It, it's not superficial. That's what I'm getting.
Uh, this is a transit where we will probably travel. It may not be across the world, and it probably won't be unless we have other contributing transits to that, um, something that is more within our county or within our coast, uh, but it, it is a time where we can be called somewhere that is out of our usual, you know, scope of what's normal, but not so far away that it was ting.
So when we have a square of Mercury to the Sun, we have to look at how our more personal attitudes or egocentric self can be in conflict with what we need to know or what it is that we need to say or what we're trying to get across or what we are interpreting. So this is a day when we are not as mindful as we should be. So the frequency that we're putting out is very frenetic and nervous and, uh, lacking, uh, uh, is it lacking patience? So we can make a lot of mistakes, and we need to often chew on what it is that we say wrong, or we misinterpret. We have to chew on that for a while, have to digest that, process that before we can have more of a correct interpretation of things. Pierce through the that the layer of defense that our ego is very much responsible for. So humility is something that if we're not, uh, operating from, and often we're not with the square, we are not making the biggest, the biggest mistakes. They can be more embarrassing mistakes. During a retrograde period, though, Mercury, this is when we will probably get a redo, a chance to revisit what it is that we up or misinterpreted. But, but, uh, yeah, during this particular square, um, we are not thinking methodically. We're probably doing too much. We're scattered, and it is that lack of mindfulness and the lack of really stopping to think about what we're doing or saying that will have consequences, and we will probably have to either issue some apologies or just have some energy that's going to have to be expanded when it comes to making up for something, setting things right in some way, or I guess we can just choose to walk away, um, depends on what the situation is.
So, uh, if we are somebody that naturally has a hard time with the with being busy, like we, we lack the vigor, uh, to sustain a busier pace, or we are, uh, maybe dealing with a Neptune transit, we just lack energy in general. This can be a few days that can actually be good for somebody like that because we're already coming from a point of maybe like zero or one when it comes to interaction, where most of us are going to be coming from like a five and ramping up to a 10. But if we're coming from a zero or a one and then we're getting to a five, then, um, we're not getting to the point where we're adding so much that we aren't able to respond to it correctly, but we're adding more. Um, so you have to look at it in terms of of what's already going on with us personally. Most people are going to be making some amount of mistakes and having to issue some apologies or do some amount of reassess it, redo it, particularly during a retrograde period.
So let's look at Mercury trine to the [Music] sun. We know the trines are awesome, oh, particularly in transit. Trines are awesome. It's a period where we are, uh, you know, experiencing success without really having to spend any energy. [Music] Um, so we are receiving communication, good news, usually beneficial things are coming towards us. Um, our frequency is pretty darn clear and inviting to other, uh, you know, to information outside of ourselves. We don't have the ego getting in the way of what we're receiving in such a way that we have a blockage or a, you know, reactions, things that are overblown or stupid. So, uh, we're able to say what we need and mean what we say when we've got this trine, and it's easy to be clear, it's easy to be concise, it's easy to get our point across in a way that's going to bring us the kinds of results that we're looking for, the kind of response that we want. Lack that ability with the square. So with the trine, um, business goes well, work goes well. We are considering details. We're considering the little things. We do that with the sextile too. We're very good at that. Uh, and with the trine too, we're looking not just at what are the details now, but how is that likely to turn out? So a very practical clairvoyance, you know, the ability to look more into the future and have a clear, uh, interpretation or idea of what is going to happen. So we don't turn psychic on this day, we turn practically able to interpret what these steps are probably going to turn into. So, uh, we're good at interpreting results, likely results, that's what it is.
Uh, we could also receive some kind of information or input or advice that can help us solve a lingering problem. We're open to other people's perspectives or opinions, and we realize that we may have to humble ourselves, uh, to some degree in order to receive the kind of information that it is that we really need. Uh, we have a grand curiosity on this day. We may start a new book, um, we may open ourselves up to some new avenue of, you know, learning something or in information. It, it is not again, the sexiest transit in the sky. It could be a simple as, uh, yeah, deciding that we're going to do ceramics or something. This is something we've want been wanting to do for a long time, and now we see that there's something we're capable of and something we invest in. We can, you know, look down the road and see this is something that's going to be beneficial to me in one way or another. So we don't feel like we're wasting, um, wasting time, wasting energy in developing something new. So it's not really a loss at all. It's more of a game. We're bringing something into our life. Adding trines are much about adding. So, uh, we can do what's routine pretty easily, but I think it's much more common with the trine to open our mind up to something that contributes to the vision for our life, a bigger idea. Trine has that, you know, that effect of the ninth house and Jupiter.
So let's look at the opposition between Mercury and the sun. Uh, so we know that oppositions have this us versus other effect. They're the culmination, the crescendo of the conjunction that was began at conjunction of transiting Mercury to the Sun. See outling of that, the results of. We can feel like we need to [Music] say what it is that we need to say. We don't have a lot of patience or, um, uh, personal objectivity on this particular day. We can be very, very aid. Uh, we need to allow others to take their turn to be able to express themselves because we always have this issue of compromise, sharing, cooperation. With an opposition, we can want to get our our ideas out there first. So we can feel like we can feel like it's very important to get it out, you know, what it is that we're thinking or needing to say. But it's very likely that we will receive, uh, we say just as passionate or clear or urgent a response from others. So we're not, um, we're not necessarily offensive in our delivery. It is, it, it does have an urgency with the opposition, but it doesn't necessarily come with the conflict that is there with the square. Um, because we feel like we need to say something, something needs to be cleared, something needs to be expressed. It opens the channel to communication to receive an equal response, and it can be at the expense of our ego, how we are communicating or what we're putting out there. It can be is something that, you know, is just so necessary for us to say or to get across or to gain a solution to that there's no part of us that's like, yeah, I just, I'm just going to put it out there and whatever happens happens. So our personal agenda isn't necessarily leading what is going on here or how we're we're coming across, and then that is reflected back to to us. So the more, um, I think the more that we listen to that, uh, that need to share and and just to be really spontaneous about that, that that's appreciated, and that is what we end up getting back. So there's a, there's a, a lack of, I think, is it defensiveness with the opposition that is definitely there with the square. So we usually in real time or in more of a, you know, consistent exchange, yet the kind of resolution or communication that we're looking for with the opposition and won't have to double back so much, um, apologize and fix as we will have to with the square. Just to clarify, is it the, um, the defensiveness? Does that exist in the square or in the opposition? It's the square. We're looking, uh, beyond that to give expression to the urgency that's there rather than to give more expression to what we want or need or how it want to be seen. Versus like with the square, the opposition is where we're willing to go beyond the we go often, and that's why we get, um, that reflected response from others. So it, it, it is a, I think a, it's an easier transit overall than the square.
All right, so third parties can be necessary and helpful when we do have the opposition, and this is a good thing, uh, because it can help to, uh, illustrate, uh, each other's perspective. Having a mediator when we have the opposition can make it very possible to come to some kind of agreement or understanding or solution to a problem. This could be in the workplace as well. So, um, yeah, it, it, it is a, a typically a beneficial transit if we are already very argumentative and if we have Mercury also in a hard transit to Mars at the same time as it is opposite to the Sun, and we can have, we'll have more layers to this. It can be a transit that, you know, that urgency to express comes with some amount of conflict or consequences. Is there is not just the sun involved? There can be another part of the ego involved. Um, so we can, you know, believe ourselves to be, maybe a part of us is, you know, willing to to see beyond our personal, you know, need for validation or recognition or stroking at that time. Um, but it can be complicated because there can be another part of this is quite defensive. So you have to look at everything in terms of transits and what we can expect. But, um, particularly in in that situation where we are more likely to be offended easier, having a third party or a mediator can be extremely helpful. So both of us, you know, explaining our side of things and, uh, you know, having somebody in between that can reiterate and, uh, you can give their input or their opinion and in opinion about things, um, both of us can find that we can be pretty agreeable.
All right, so I think that's it. All right, why don't we open up questions?
