Repurpose Content: How I Easily Post 3x A Day

You guys, I've secretly been repurposing content for years, but I do it in a way that's not amateur. Where I'm not taking the same piece of content and within the hour sending it as an Instagram post, and an Instagram or, and an email, and also a LinkedIn post. That is amateur hour because what that does is train your audience to not open all of your stuff, or not read all of your stuff.

Because I know a content creator who does this, and I never open her emails because she always emails out the same thing. "I just saw on Instagram." So she's trained me to never open up her email emails because of the way she repurposes content. So what we want to do, and what I'm going to teach you how to do in this video, is teach you how to repurpose content so it's really sneaky, so people don't know you're repurposing at all, but it massively cuts down your workload.

Because you guys are all asking me, "Maria, how are you publishing three Instagram posts a day, an email every single day, two YouTube videos a week?" It's not because I'm all of a sudden amazing, like, really amazing to put out all this content all at once. No, I'm just sneaky. I just repurpose content really, really well. So I want to show you how to do that. And we're going to focus specifically on Instagram because that's the one that I get asked questions about the most.

And what I'm going to do is show you how I repurpose 15 pieces of content from one. So I take one post and I turn it into... this is not it. This is it. I take one post and I turn it into 15 different posts. So this is the full list. And what I'm going to do is define a couple of terms for you and then give you some examples so you can see how this works. And at the end of this video, you're going to have a very clear game plan on how to turn one Instagram post into 15 different Instagram posts, but done so sneakily, nobody ever knows you're doing it.

Couple of terms that you should know. "All of it in the Reel" means after the hook, you're going to immediately answer the hook in the actual reel itself. So sometimes we might put hooks, or, um, we might put the information in a caption. That would be like, um, like number three. "B-roll" is hook plus caption. But when we say "all of it in the Reel," and I'll give you an example of this in a minute, it's all the information is happening in the Reel.

"B-roll," in case you don't know, is just like filler footage. So videos of you walking, videos of you sipping tea, that's called b-roll. "Talking head" is exactly what it sounds like: your head talking. And then "hooks." I use "tease" instead of "hook" because really, at the end of the day, what a hook is supposed to do is like tease the content and get the viewer to watch more. And I feel like "hook" is just frankly overusing it because it's so overused, we forget like what it means.

So sorry about my focus. This has been doing this all day. Actually, the third time I've tried to film this video because of the focus being there. There you go. Being so bad. That's what it should be doing. So, um, I've got about this much patience left with that focus, just FYI. So my third time, I just don't know what's going on, but I'll fix it. I'll fix it. Deep breaths, Maria. We're gonna get there. We're gonna get there.

Okay, so I want to give you some examples now of how this works and how I repurpose content. Because repurposing content is not copying and pasting content. Copying and pasting content is taking the same thing and just literally copying and pasting. We are going to repurpose the content. We're going to use the same concept, use the same idea, use the same words even, but do it differently. And I'm going to take it right from the top and give you an example of what this looks like. So if we go to... I got a whole list of documents here. So here's the first example. I took...

Okay, so when I say "all of it in the Reel," this is what I mean. Here's the hook: "Rich people think my passive income business got me." And then immediately, all in the Reel, on the video footage itself, is the information. And I want you also want you to look at the caption because it's basically going to be almost identical to the ones that I'm about ready to show you on the carousel. And this is... but I, but there's something that I want to drive home here. So we'll pull the carousel up.

Okay, so the carousel looks almost exactly the same, right? It's "Rich people think my passive income business got me." But what I've done is I've elevated the repurposed content. And that should be your takeaway: is that you are not just going to copy and paste and repost. What you're reposting should be repurposed and elevated. So as if you go back to the Reel, it just... instead of me saying "a personal shopper" like I did on the Reel, for the carousel, which is repurposed, I actually have a picture of the personal shopper and I tag her. Same thing with my in-person assistant. Instead of just saying "in-person assistant," I actually show screenshots of our conversation, which is interesting. Same thing with my hair. And then on the Reel, somebody had left a really nice comment about how me hiring all these people is supporting their dreams. And I liked that comment so much, I wanted to share it in the repurposed content.

And so what I want you to see here is that when we repurpose content, we aren't just going to copy and paste it. We're going to elevate it. So we take the same thing, it's basically the same words, but we take it one level further with every iteration. So it just keeps getting better and better. And it's done in completely different formats. So visually, this looks absolutely nothing like the Reel. It's not a screenshot of the same Reel footage. It's just a very different piece of content, but the words are the same.

So then let's go to the next one because this one really drives the point home. So we'll do "tease plus caption" or "hook plus caption." So the hook here is: "Here's how I keep getting my content to go viral." And then I really want you to pay attention to the key phrase here: "velocity of engagement." Pay attention to this caption because I take this caption, and mind you, the date on this one is March 31st. Okay? So then months later, literally on my way to the airport, but I got this question. I just wanted to quickly answer it. There is this... this is how I know I'm going to go viral. Cuz every time I want to go viral, I do well. Like 80% of the time I want to go viral, I go viral. And this is how I do it. It's using this thing called velocity of engagement. And so what I'm going to do is explain it in the caption. If you read the caption down below, I'm going to explain it. But this term, velocity of engagement, is one of the main reasons I got 100,000 followers, over 100,000 followers in one year. So go read the...

So if we go back to that other Reel, that's what I say in the caption. I say, "Hey, here's this term. It's called velocity of engagement." And then I paste it. But look at the date difference. June 10th. So what is that, basically? March, April, May, June. Four months later, I take that... that um caption. I say the words from the caption with my mouth. And then I, I say, "Hey, go check out the caption to learn what velocity of engagement is." This piece of content versus this piece of content. So loud. But I even say something like, "I actually know how to go viral." And the talking head one. These pieces of content are so spaced out, and they look so different, but it's the exact same information. And I literally was on the way to the airport when I made that one. And so I'm keeping up with my content schedule by repurposing content, but I'm not doing it in a way that's super obvious.

So if we go back to this list, you can kind of see how it's going to start to come together. These are all the different ways you can take the same idea and turn it into 15 different posts. So let's say that you are a stylist, and you have the idea with a really specific tip on "never leave the house with, um, wrinkled clothes." That's your tip. Well, you can make 15 different posts saying the exact same thing in all these different ways. B-roll, all of it in the Reel, b-roll educational, right? So b-roll, all of it in the Reel, inspo would be you dressed up looking like a million dollars. B-roll, all of it in the Reel would be literally you, like, ironing your clothes. B-roll plus caption, b-roll plus DM. I'm going to do more examples. "Royalty" plus 3B. Talking heads, basically the same thing. All of it in the Reel.

So talking head would be: "Hey, my name is Jessica, and I'm going to tell you one of the most basic things you can do to look like a million bucks is to never leave the house with wrinkled clothes. You can get a steamer on Facebook Marketplace for $5. It takes three seconds to steam your clothes. It immediately elevates your look, right?" And maybe that's the exact same thing you said as a b-roll, but that time you typed it out and put the words in the Reel itself. Same thing with the carousel. I want to start doing some examples with the IG story so you can see how this all comes together.

Okay, um, okay, let's do IG "all of it in a story." So this is an Instagram story that's going to pull up. Let's try this one more time. Okay, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna pull up the carousel one first, and then we'll find the story version of it. Okay. Oh, yeah, yeah. So "Nine lessons I've learned after posting my 900th post." This is the carousel version of what I put on my story. Okay, so this one did super well. Just, just look at the general, general vibe of this. Okay. "You're not shadow banned. Pay attention to your mental health." If you want mediocre results. Now, I did add, and I'll tell you, I'll give you a little spoiler, in the Instagram story, I only shared three things I've learned. The way I elevated it after I repurposed it is by adding literally six more. So again, I'm sticking to my rule of, you can't just repurpose, you have to elevate.

Now I'm going to go to my profile and just show you the, quickly show you the original one. This was the original one. There we go. So they look pretty similar, right? They're not that different. The difference in this case is that I just realized I have to be the gym in nine minutes. I have my personal trainer coming in nine minutes, and I'm, I'm not dressed for the gym. So we're going to quickly finish this. I've been recording for 10 minutes. So the lesson is to elevate, not just copy and paste.

Let's do one more example. And then I think what I will do to make it easier for you guys is I'll also link this in the description so you can look at all of these examples. Um, okay, here's, here's a tutorial. Here's a hack to get more views on your IG stories. Okay. And then the way that I repurposed it. B-roll version. Well, actually, you know what? The b-roll version of this. So I can quickly go to it. We go. And if you look at the car, at the caption, the caption is the exact same words that I had in the carousel.

So there's three things that I want you to do that I'm going to give you as your homework assignment before I go to the gym in eight minutes. Don't want to make my personal trainer wait for me, so I got to teach this to you very quickly. First, get the list that I'll put in the description because that's going to be really helpful. You're going to have the whole list, and I've explained the concept enough for you to get it. You get the idea that it's the same idea, the same concept that I'm going to turn around and publish on 15 different formats. Um, you're going to have examples provided so you can really flush this out a little bit further than I was able to. And the, we've really been already together for 12 minutes.

Second thing I'm going to do is, if content in general is really difficult, I'm going to link to these things called the viral content packs. It's story templates, carousel templates, Reel templates, which I think is going to get you even one step over to the finish line where you need to be. Because if you're looking at a blank slate every time you go to post on Instagram, that's very difficult. What I want you to do is have an idea. Now you've got the list of 15 different ways you can repurpose it, and then use content templates to just paste your own stuff into them. So I'll link to those down in the description below.

I'm going to make my gym appointment. I only get two of those a week, so I'm definitely not missing that. Thank you guys so much for joining me. Sorry for the quicker finish. You know, I normally like to take my time on these. Hopefully, you got the idea. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. I will answer them for you. I'll see you in the next one.
