Listen, I have a powerful message that I believe is from the Lord in the form of a positive affirmation that I believe that if it gets down in your spirit, it will help you to overcome anything that the enemy throws at you. >> Praise the Lord and God bless you. Welcome to another exciting episode of Doers of the Word Ministries broadcast on the Marketplace Network. My name is Bishop Reginald Given and I'm the senior pastor of the Word of Truth Community Worship Center and we're located at 17610 Belfflower Boulevard in the city of Belfflower, California 92571 and we are just excited about what God is doing not only in our congregation but what he's doing on the broadcast. I want to share a message with you today that I believe will strengthen you in your walk with God. It will enhance your faith. And you know, positive affirmations are a great thing. Uh you have to speak faith. You have to believe. You have to you have to tell the devil what God has said about your situation and push him aside and not let him get in your ear.
>> Teach it.
>> Positive affirmations. When I received this message, it it it blessed me. I I could feel the spirit of God bubbling up down on the inside of me, giving me new courage, giving me new hope, new faith to run on in spite of what I was facing.
>> So, the title of this message today is in the form of a affirmation, I'm going to be all right anyhow. That's the name of the message. I'm you got to tell yourself that I'm going to be all right regardless of the political climate, regardless of viruses and diseases going around, regardless of layoff notices, regardless of of of conflicts in the marriage, regardless in hearing bad news from the doctor. You got to say to yourself, I'm going to be all right. Anyhow, let me get into the message. There's a word that I want to uh unpack to you today and that word is resolve.
>> Resolve. R E S O L V E. Resolve. Resolve is a very vital and important element which is an extreme necessity in each of our lives. In order to have peace, in order to have contentment in this life, it's a necessity because we all have to learn how to deal with the constant turmoil that is being set before us.
>> Yes. Whether it involves your relationships, whether it involves your finances, whether it involves your health or your employment or your housing or your transportation and and I mean the list can go on and on. Regardless to what it may be, without a resolve to some of these challenges that are set before us, our lives would literally explode. So when we talk about what resolve is, we discover that it involves finding out first. Finding out what is the best solution possible to solving a problem that is resolved. And then number two, once you have made that decision, once you have found the solution, then you have to make a firm decision that once you find the solution that you stick with the solution. Even watch this, even when it does not appear to be working.
>> Wow.
>> You know, you've heard this saying many times, prayer changes things. Well, Lord, I've been praying and ain't nothing changing. I've been fasting and things are still the same.
>> Well, prayer is the greatest possible solution to any problem. So, you just have to keep on praying. Even if it doesn't seem like it's working, it may not be working visibly to you, but down on the inside and in the spirit realm, it's it's working. It's it it's it's going to bring it to pass. So you have to stick with the best possible solution and prayer is the best possible solution. Resolve is also settling that dispute that goes on in your mind as to whether to move forward or to stay put. Whether to spend that dollar or to save that dollar, whether to change something that you have been accustomed to or to allow it to go on remaining the same, you have to resolve that. And when I look at the word resolve, I I I find that it is usually associated with another word called conflict. Conflict is a serious disagreement or a clash between opposing forces, opposing ideas or opposing interests. And it can manifest as an external struggle between people or between groups or it can manifest as an internal mental struggle with inside an individual. Go with me to the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 4 8 and 9. That's 2 Corinthians chapter 4:es 8 and 9. And in this particular verses, Paul is addressing the saints in Corenth concerning being done wrong for doing the right thing. Amen. This letter was written around AD 55-57. It was written from Macedonia during Paul's third missionary journey. It was written following what Paul himself describes as a very painful visit. Painful because Paul was experiencing some intense anxiety. He was experiencing some intense emotional distress. and he was experiencing intense opposition from false teachers who constantly questioned his apostolic authority. And listen, for Paul, the reason why it was painful, it got so bad that he even felt like his life was being threatened. Amen. He began to fear for his very life.
2 Corinthians chapter 4 beginning at verse 8-10 Paul says we are troubled on every side yet not distressed we are perplexed but not in despair persecuted but not forsaken cast down but not destroyed always bearing about in the body, the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our bodies. You see, when you're troubled on every side, you know, that that means that it doesn't matter whether you turn to the left or whether you turn to the right. It it it doesn't matter whether you go forward or whether you go backwards. No matter what move you make, you're bound to run into some trouble.
>> But Paul's resolve, and this is what I want to get over to you. Paul had to make a resolve. Paul's resolve to being troubled was that he refused
>> to be distressed. Amen. Praise God. He refused to be distressed. Paul's resolve within himself. He said, "I serve a God." Amen. That told me in Psalm 46:1
>> that he was my refuge and my strength.
>> He told me that he was a very present help in a time of trouble. And like Paul, you got to also do the same thing. You got to resolve not to let trouble get you down.
>> I heard the songwriter say, "Trouble don't last always." Praise God.
>> But what does last always and will continue to last throughout all eternity is the goodness and the mercies of God.
>> Wow. In Lamentations 3 22 it says it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because what? His compassions fail not. Tell someone sitting next to you, thank God that his compassions fail not. Amen. Paul said he was perplexed but not in despair. I stopped by to let you know that there will be times and this is not a incident where it might happen or it's a possibility that it will happen. No, there will be times when you will be completely puzzled and can't understand why things are happening to you the way they're happening. and and and when these things begin to take place, it it sometimes it leaves you feeling uncertain
>> about your tomorrow
>> and whether there's any hope for a brighter future.
>> But you got to resolve like Paul. You got to em and Paul is somebody that that is worth emulating. You got to resolve like Paul. I cannot allow myself to despair. In Jeremiah chapter 29 11-13 it says for I know the thoughts that I think toward you sayaith the Lord thoughts of peace not of evil to give you an expected end. Listen God expects all of us to end well. You may have a rocky start
>> and it might be pretty bumpy in between, you know, journeys, but at the end of the day, at the end of the road,
>> God is there waiting at the finish line and he's expecting us
>> to finish and to end well. Verse 12 says this, "Then shall you call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will listen to your cry."
>> Amen.
>> Oh, bless his name. And you shall seek me, and you shall find me when you shall search for me with all of your heart. Tell somebody, you got to put your heart into it.
>> You got to put forth some effort. How can you despair? I'm going just ask the question. How can you despair? A a man when God is on your side.
>> He is the creator of the universe. There is nothing too hard for God.
>> Amen. And not only that, but he has already said to us that he is listening to our every cry.
>> Don't think that God don't think your words are falling on deaf ears. Everything that you say, God hears it and he takes it into consideration.
>> Amen. Paul said this. He said he was persecuted
>> but not forsaken. Listen, I I just want to let you know this. This is this is a a spiritual fact. Whenever you take a stand for what is right, people will persecute you for it.
>> Amen. This world loves darkness rather than light. Why? Because their deeds are evil. And so when you walk in the room, you represent light
>> and they don't want to be exposed.
>> So they will persecute you.
>> In 2 Timothy 3:12, it says these words. Paul is even speaking. He says, "Yay, and all all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." It's just the world in which we live.
>> Amen.
>> But you got to resolve like Paul. There's that word again, resolve. You got to resolve like Paul who was being done wrong for doing what was right. He was doing the right thing.
>> Yes, sir.
>> And people persecuted him for it. Amen.
>> Knowing that in the midst of your persecution, you are not forsaken. Amen. And listen, it is so sweet to know that the one back you will never see is God's.
>> That's right.
>> Think about that.
>> Amen. He promised never to turn his back on us, but will always have our back, so to speak, no matter what we go through. And it's so sweet to know that he will be with you in the valley. He will be with you in the fire. He'll be with you in the flood. He'll be with you going out. He will be with you coming in. Amen. And I know these these are are are figurative words, but but sometimes a problem can be like you're in a valley
>> and and and you just can't dig your way out. Sometimes those those trials seem so fiery that they're they're just they're just burning and and and and sometimes you feel like you're just being swept away like a flood. Amen. But God is with us.
>> Somebody ought to say amen.
>> Amen. To know that he is with us in all of our trials and tribulations is enough for us to resolve to hang on in there. Don't give up. Don't throw in the towel. Don't file for divorce. Don't file for bankruptcy. Hang on in there.
>> God is with us. Paul said he was cast down but not destroyed. Listen. people. I I had to ask God to deliver me from people, but people people that should have loved you that dropped you. Uh people that should have cared for you but dropped you. People that should have had your back but dropped you.
>> Uh let me ask you a question. Have you ever been Have you ever been dropped? Yes.
>> Have Have you have you ever been a victim
>> of people?
>> Yes.
>> Amen. You've done nothing but good to them and then they turn around and attack you for it.
>> Amen.
>> You've loaned them money and then they avoid you.
>> Amen. They they speak well of you in front of your face, but as soon as you turn your back, they're they're they're desecrating your name.
>> Yes. people. Have you ever been a victim of people? Uh if you haven't, keep living. Uh because that's life. That is going to happen to you. It's going to happen to me. It happened to Paul. Uh I heard somebody say, "Into every life a little rain must fall."
>> But you got to resolve like Paul. Let's get back to the resolve part. You got to resolve like Paul that no matter what people may have done to you,
>> yes,
>> you will not I made up my mind. I will not be destroyed.
>> Amen. I won't be destroyed because greater is he that is in me
>> than he that is in the world.
>> I won't be destroyed because he told me to stand. He said, "Having done all, stand." Amen. When the dust clears and the shield is bent and the sword is chipped and and and the helmet is kind of turned backwards. Amen. When the when all that is said and done, you're still standing.
>> That's right.
>> You're still standing. Amen. I won't be destroyed because he is greater than the opposition.
>> Amen. And that's what you have to realize. The devil wants you to think that he has power, but our God has all power. And he says that I have given you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy so that nothing
>> shall by any means hurt you. You got to resolve that the devil can't hurt you.
>> Amen.
>> You got to resolve that the devil cannot take from you what God has given you.
>> Amen. I have resolved that I'm going to be all right anyhow. I speak that to myself every morning. I get up in the morning, no matter what's going on, first thing I say, Lord, I thank you and I'm going to be all right anyhow,
>> no matter what what happens. And I tell people this. I say, you can lie on me if you want to. You can take advantage of my kindness if you want to. You can even walk off and leave me if you want to. But I have resolved and I've made up in my mind.
>> That's right.
>> I'm going to be all right anyhow.
>> Amen. That's my message. And I pray that it has encouraged your heart. You got to you got to talk to the devil. You got to not only talk to the devil, but you got to talk to yourself. You got to tell yourself, I can get up from this.
>> I can survive this.
>> I can rebuild from this. I can have what I what I what I want. I can do what I need to do. You got to tell yourself these things because the devil's not going to tell you. He's going to tell you the opposite.
>> And God is God is rooting you on because he says you can do all things
>> through Christ
