Candace Owens' Fans Turn On Her (And It's Bad)

Candace Owens fans just turned on her, and it's actually pretty hilarious. The dislike ratio is crazy. The comments are wild. And why, you may ask? Well, it's all because she sat down with Erica Kirk and finally, finally, uh, started to kind of walk back some of the things that she said.

In yesterday's video, she acknowledged that she went too far. She said she was angry and she walked back calling Turning Point a "godforsaken company."

"They were sort of most upset with what I obviously, a bit of a fever pitch when I tweeted that it was a god-forsaken company and people should not give money to it. And I have to own that that's aggressive. That is actually aggressive in retrospect. I was very frustrated and I don't know, I just felt like we weren't getting any answers and there were so many lies. And then I was getting attacked for asking all meaningful questions that was within their capacity to answer. And I told you, I, I definitely my problem in life is that I can rise to anger very quickly."

The response from her audience has been brutal. Her latest upload is sitting roughly at 56,000 dislikes compared to 123,000 likes. That's not normal pushback. That's a fracture. For context, that means that 31% of the viewers watching this video, nearly one out of three, reacted negatively.

And the comments, oh, those are even worse. Accusations of betrayal, claims that she's sold out. People saying that it's time to put their phones down. "It's a big club, they aren't in it." "Four, four and a half hours of conversation and we're still confused." "Saying that she ruined her reputation." "If you haven't been gaslit before, this is what it feels like."

"One person said, 'Are you kidding me? This is so bizarre. She's flipped. She must have been threatened. Why was the meeting private, Candace?'"

"Accepting a private meeting with each other. It was never about either one of you. It's a sham. We learn nothing. Absolutely nothing. No one can be trusted. Literally no one. I think that's implying Candace."

"Um, it was at this moment I..." This one has 14,000 likes. "It was at this moment I realized I need to get off of the internet. If I'm going to be destroyed by the system, let it be in person, not due to coercion of my mind and spirit because of the totally avoidable social media influence."

"Sounds like they caught wind of our woke right challenge here. Why did you use the first 20 minutes to criticize the public instead of talking about the convo? This feels like swimming the whole Atlantic and then dying in the shore. What a waste." [laughter]

"After you trained us how to detect lies, guess what? We detect one."

"Private. This is amazing. Oh man, those call logs make no sense. Um, so, so many amazing, uh, comments here. And apparently at the time of this recording, she posted and deleted this comment on her own video from yesterday."

"Okay, I'm a bit frustrated by the comments here. First and foremost, I was only given the option for closed door meeting. I obviously agreed to it. It was almost 5 hours long. I need more time to digest. I just wanted to present the facts to you all today of what they said without any of my own innuendo because there is a lot to digest and pray about. It's also difficult to put into words what it's like to be in my position and to have to consider the scenarios that no person on earth should have to consider."

"Again, the the fact that she keeps making this all about her is amazing. Okay. How many people can say they've watched a friend, uh, be deleted over politics and then has to consider the possibility the entire government colluded to make it happen and maybe even people close to him all while being attacked from every media group influencer in the world. It's very heavy stuff. And on top of it, I have to deal with how fickle the audience is if I don't make one, uh, even make one mistake or pronunciation. God forbid, man. When you build, when you build this sort of audience, this is how, uh, this this goes, you know."

"And I have to give a shout out to my man John McCrae yet again with a W who said, 'I can't wait to see the comments of this before they come out.'"

"And here's the deal. You see, this isn't really just about Candace. This is about what happens when you build influence on something that can't carry weight. And the interesting part is that Jesus actually warned us about this in the scriptures. We're going to come back to that in a second."

"Now, in case you thought she was going to be a little bit more delicate talking about this now that she's had time with Erica Kirk, who is the new CEO of Turning Point, uh, think again. This is her sitting down with Piers Morgan and this came out today."

"Could anybody at Turning Point in your opinion know that Charlie Kirk was going to be..."

"There is specifically two people at Turning Point USA and I have communicated that information to Erica and Justin Strife that I would not be surprised if they had foreign knowledge of Charlie Kirk being assassinated."

"And what evidence do you have that they had any prior knowledge of them?"

"Because I don't have concrete evidence is the reason why I'm not naming them. So I've been evidence but you're but you're telling the widow that these two people may have been involved in..."

"But you see the problem. Well, it's what the evidence for it is people that they there was not concrete evidence. It's like you're trying to get me to say something that I never said and then asking me to defend it. Actually go to you're asking me privately. Did I communicate to them that I think you should look further? That's called an investigation." [laughter]

"I don't have concrete evidence, but I'm going to make these outlandish claims, uh, and also tell people to look into these people. But I don't have concrete evidence, but I'm going to make the claims. And then at some point, the claims become the evidence. It just, it's just getting more and more outlandish by every passing moment."

"St. Augustine once warned that truth doesn't bend to our passions. He said, 'Reality eventually collects its debts.' The Christian faith has always insisted on this idea. You don't get to redefine reality without consequences. So when people ask me, why are you talking about this? This is why. Because this isn't just about personalities. It's about formation. It's about foundations. It's about whether what we're building can eventually survive pressure."

"Now, in a moment, we're going to look at some scripture to kind of glue all this together. But let's go through a couple of the things that Candace talked about regarding her conversation with Erica and things she still doesn't understand that we're going to help her out with and then aspects that, uh, kind of acknowledges that maybe she got some stuff wrong."

"One piece of this where I was, I still don't understand it, and the magic bullet. Okay, now we all recall what happened. I casually say on the show, hey, I saw the footage. There was no blood. Very quickly, what happens is Andrew Kovet whips up this this tweet about the what happened with the bullet and he said he had, he wanted to address all the discussion that was being had about the online chatter. I'm obviously paraphrasing here. He spoke with the surgeon. The bullet should have gone through. Who the surgeon had explained that what he's typically seen on these wounds and basically this was all a miracle. Charlie saved lives even in death. The internet clocked it. This miracle. The healthy bone. His bone was so healthy. And that kind of was like the beginning of the WTF, right? I feel like that was kind of the beginning of it."

"So she's confused about the magic bullet. I've heard this brought up repeatedly whenever we're talking about, you can't explain a magic bullet. I got you. So the bullet not making sense led her to make the claim that therefore there was a second person that was, and that is something that, you know, Andrew, uh, responded to with the miracle bullet. Now, there's a more sensible explanation to all of this. And again, I got to send a big shout out to Quazine cuz he did a video on this, right? And this is actually much simpler, uh, than you think. It doesn't require a miracle for that caliber bullet, uh, to not, um, go through him."

"What if it's just a different bullet? 306 is the size of the bullet, but there are different bullet types. Non-expanding bullets designed to pass through the body and expanding bullets designed to stay in. There are..."

"So you can still have that same caliber, big, big, big bullet, and it may not be used the same as a different type. And he's going to explain what type of people would use this sort of bullet. Check this out."

"Also reduced recoil bullets for people sensitive to kickback. Those have the highest chance of stopping inside the body. Who uses reduced recoil ammunition? Old people like Tyler Robinson's grandfather who passed down the rifle or young people like Tyler who'd been since he was 14. So maybe the bullet stayed in because that's what this type of bullet does."

"Who would have thought? Who would have thought there's a natural explanation for this?"

"Another thing that Candace said was that, hey, Charlie was texting someone. Erica said she had his phone. She didn't see the iMessages. It was in a different app. In the app. She claimed that her her sources that it was the Jews. He was afraid the Jews were going to take him out. When the people who looked at those text messages ended up saying it, it wasn't the Jews, it was the left, which is what it seems like happened. A radicalized leftist who was in a relationship with a trans furry boyfriend."

"Uh, Andrew Kovet received a message the night before and Dan Flood received a message the night before. Now, they asked me if I had actually like a concrete a copy of what Dan Flood got the night before and I said no. Somebody told me what it said, which was almost exactly what Andrew said, which is they're going to..."

"Andrew did not know who they were, who they that he was referring to, uh, were, but they clarified that the message that Dan Flood received said, 'The left is going to kill me.' So, I can't confirm that one way or the other. I have to trust them on that because I did not see that concrete message. I was told that it said they."

"Now, obviously, we discussed the moment and I'm laughing here because you TikTokers are actually out of control. You guys are going to be the reason that Israel gets TikTok."

"So she acknowledges that, uh, there was no conversation about they or the Jews or Israel, uh, wanting to get him, but just they, the left is who did it. And then she goes on yet again to mock, uh, parts of her audience that are on TikTok, being her internet sleuth."

"Now, the sad part in all of this is how many people were deceived by this. How many people right now are in her comments saying, 'Woo, I need a break. I, I, I need a break. This is this is too much.' They feel like she flipped on her. Why? Why is that? And and even my audience, parts of my audience that ended up watching some of her, just completely devolved outside of any sort of reasonable thinking, any sort of understanding of how logical fallacies work, how omissions work, the multiple lies she was caught in. Why?"

"Well, I think it's because of what Jesus talked about regarding what are we building our lives on. Let me explain. In Matthew chapter 7, uh, verse 24, Jesus is talking about building our lives on his words. Uh, Matthew 24:27 says, 'Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house. Yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.' But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on the sand."

"Now, in John, Jesus also says that he is the way, he is the truth, he is the life. So ultimately the question should be, what are we building our house on? Are we building it on Jesus's words or are we building it on internet chatter?"

"Jesus is getting at that anyone who builds their house on sand can look stable for a while until the storm comes. And when the storm hits, the collapse isn't subtle. It's sudden and it's public. See, when an audience is built primarily on outrage and suspicion. When loyalty is fueled by shared enemies instead of shared truth, it doesn't take much to trigger a collapse. The same energy that built you up is the same energy that will turn on you and tear you down."

"You see, the same instability shows up when people start soft-pedaling dangerous ideas or cozying up to ideologies that they don't fully understand. And we're seeing it right now in conversation around Islam or some would say radical Islam. From the Bondi Beach incident to Patrick David finally crashing out on Islam to an Arab woman on Piers Morgan being labeled a white nationalist by a New York Times journalist for warning about it. When you speak against falsehood, the labels come fast."

"And it's also why people are starting to notice how certain figures, including Candace and Tucker, have been increasingly comfortable aligning themselves with Muslim voices without clearly naming where those worldviews fundamentally clash with Christianity. There's a lot of Assyrians and Armenians who live in Australia and I'm a Syrian and Armenian."

Uh, we came out here because of punchline RZ Muslims ethnically cleansing all the Armenian Christians from the capital of Baku. This just happened again three years ago, right? Two and a half years ago, right before October 7th, another 100,000 Armenians were ethnically cl Armenian Christian were ethnically cleansed from the the mountain Nogo Karabakh region. So yeah, miss me with this like religion of peace. Listen to what he goes on to say next."

A 19-year-old comes and stabs him in the eye and he still forgave him because our religion of Christianity believes in that. We're supposed to sit in America, think it's okay with what's going on in Dearborn and Somalia. Governor Tim Walls has the audacity to get up and say we're going to let even more Somalians in after a billion, billion and a half was stolen from taxpayers over there."

And this happened to me recently when I when I've spoken out about this. Oh, you're Islamophobic. Listen, there's there's there's no phobia or irrational fear I have of Islam. If anything, I have a very rational fear of the fruits of Islam actually practiced towards their logical conclusion of what the book is. Not a shot at all Muslims. It is the reality of what the actual prophet taught and what he believed and how initially he was peaceful at the beginning of the Quran and then towards the end he's spreading his religion with the sword. He's taking a six-year-old wife and consummating the marriage when she was still playing with dolls at nine years old. These are all facts. LIKE THEY THEY DON'T EVEN DENY THIS ANYMORE. MATTER OF FACT, THEY'RE GOING in and trying to debate and argue for child marriage, right? We saw that with the back and forth between David Wood. The very same people that are attacking David Wood are actually advocating and saying, 'Yeah, child marriage is all right.' You know, the marriage between cousins, it's all right. Who cares if it lowers IQs? We, we've seen this stuff happen publicly. And so what happens when you speak out? Well, you get dismissed as an Islamophobe. Case in point, Jillian Michaels dismissed as a white nationalist. Not some, this isn't by someone THAT'S FRIENDS. THIS IS BY A NEW YORK Times reporter. Okay, check this out. This just happened."

"This is where we are, folks. You say, 'Hey, wait a minute. The the the root and the fruit of some of this stuff is pretty bad. The root and the fruit of some of this stuff is pretty bad. Maybe we should be intentional with some of this immigration policy. Maybe, uh, we should ask that they condemn some of the attacks that are happening. Maybe we shouldn't have entire cities like Dearborn, Michigan, and stuff is happening. Maybe we shouldn't be so focused on the Zionists who are flying planes that are Egyptian and following around Erica Kirk and and and and and propagating this sort of stuff. Maybe there's an actual, uh, threat that's telling you like, like if someone tells you who they really are and what they really believe, maybe you should believe them. Instead, we get dismissed as an Arab woman. By the way, Lebanese and Lebanese and Syrian woman gets dismissed as a white nationalist. She's, I don't even think she's like conservative. As far as I know, I think she's in a same-sex relationship. Um, fairly kind of center-left, maybe moderate. Uh, and and that's what happens. But, and this is not by a French press. This by a New York Times reporter. You see, there's nothing, uh, journalistic by calling her a white nationalist. That's not journalism. That's intimidation. And here's the part that matters most. While Western media argues over optics, Christians around the world are paying the price, especially in places like Nigeria. And this is where I want to highlight my friend Mike Winger because instead of just sounding the alarm, he's actually pointing people to something practical we can all do. So Mike Winger released this video yesterday. It's called 'Warning: Muslims Will End a Bunch of Christians on Christmas.' Okay, Nigerian sources, legit sources. So, uh, let's look at what he is saying, what is coming down the line, and then again, practical thing every single one of us need to do, and I'm going to walk you guys how to do it. This is not clickbait. This is not a joke, not ex, not an exaggeration. Uh, within the next 10 days, nine days, there is looking like there's going to be a real attack, a coordinated attack on multiple towns inside of Nigeria for this eradication of Christians. This is coming from insiders inside of Nigeria who've communicated it through truthnigeria.com."

Saul even knows Jud Saul even knows the towns that are going to be attacked. He's warning the governments of these things. The Nigerian government historically doesn't care, doesn't do anything. Even recently, there were 300 kids that were kidnapped. You guys heard this story. 300 kids that were kidnapped just three weeks ago."

"And so far, while in the US, if that happened, those kidnappers would be dead or in custody and those kids would be free already. It would have happened within 24 hours, right?"

It's suggesting that Congressman Bud might be behind this for for his own political career stuff and not not for what's good for the country."

They're coming in with their big old AKs or fully automatic, you know, rifles. This stuff is going..."

All right. And this is where I want to zoom in for a second because when you see something like what's happening in Nigeria, the question isn't just what do we believe? It's what do we do? What, what we've been given? What do we do with the access to email our local representative and take action for something like helping the Christians in Nigeria? In my book, Godly Ambition, I talk a lot about stewardship. How our time, talent, treasure, resources aren't just personal assets. They're actually responsibility. And stewardship doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks very ordinary. And one of the things we've been doing and having a blast on is actually opening up the lines to talk about things like this at our daily show. And I actually got a call recently that reminded me of that. Someone asking me a simple question about what do we do as a church? What's up, Rice? Where are you calling from and what is your question, brother?

>> Do you guys happen to do anything special around the, uh, around the Christmas holiday, Christmas season? Just curious what other regions and locations do, um, as far as like, I guess charity work or do you have special sermons or anything that are given?

>> Yeah, so, uh, man, I, we used to do Advent back in the day. Me and my wife were really, really into the Advent season. We haven't done that as a church this, this, this time around. We do a big huge Christmas market where it's basically a huge community outreach event where the church, uh, donates a bunch of stuff to different families inside and outside of the church that are going through it in a rough season and basically gives them an opportunity to come to our big Christmas market, knock out all their Christmas shopping.

>> Uh, any needs they have. And so that's like our big Christmas, uh, outreach, uh, type event. And yeah, we, we've done that pretty consistently. Pretty, pretty big event.

>> That's actually really cool. That's super cool. Yeah, we do, uh, we do like a feed the need event every year. And so every year instead of, uh, instead of doing a Sunday sermon, um, we'll set up tables and, uh, big packing boxes and we'll, I think they accept donations too, but the church will go out and order like a ton of food and, uh, there's like a list so you'll come in and pack boxes and then you'll go into the community and, uh, deliver boxes and kind of, you know, talk to people, kind of little community involvement. So it's kind of.

>> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's kind of cool.

>> It's, it's, it's an awesome

>> opportunity that we get to be the hands and feet of Jesus like on this side of eternity to say, "Hey, we know there are people that are struggling. We know there are people that are that are going through it. And and like because God's been so good to us because God's blessed us and and ultimately like, you know, came and lived the life we couldn't live, died the death we should have died on the cross in our place for our sins, like we get to, uh, help show that joy that we have by helping other people." Sometimes they're Christians and sometimes they're not. Have you ever heard of the, uh, have you ever heard of the Advent conspiracy?

>> No, there's an Advent conspiracy. [laughter]

>> Yeah. So, like there's a, um, man, I'm going to butcher like the, the overall basis of it. If you go to Google and you Google like the Advent conspiracy, our church has done that, uh, probably the last seven years. It's really cool. It like hits four, I think it's four main points. It's, uh, spend less, give more, love all, and worship fully. That's what it is.

>> And it's called an Advent conspiracy. They use the word conspiracy.

>> That is so interesting.

>> Yeah. It's, it's not really like a conspiracy like you think. Um, it's more.

>> It's a fun title though. It definitely, it definitely hooked me in.

>> I see it. Yeah, I got it pulled up. Worship, spend less, give more, love all. I love that, bro. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. This is looks like it's a, a book that someone put out. I love that.

>> Yeah, there's a book also. Our, uh, our, our church had started, I don't know, maybe six years ago doing the Advent conspiracy thing and we'll hit each one each week and we'll tie it back to scripture and I don't know. It's kind of cool.

Now, all of this brings us to one final conversation, stewardship, or management. And another way to put it that makes it not sound as deep and lofty doesn't just apply to our time, talent, and treasure. It also applies how we handle the truth, what we say, what we believe, and whether we're willing to hold to certain convictions that we see as evident even when they're not popular. Uh, and this is why I want to talk about the backlash that Kirk Cameron is facing right now over his views on hell and annihilationism. You see, this isn't about canceling someone. Um, and it's definitely not about dog piling, as that's what seems to be happening. This is very odd when Jesus said, "The world will know we're his disciples by how we love one another." And this is what happens when we have theological convictions that collide with cultural pressures. So, let me give you a quick recap. Some of you guys have been seeing what's happening. Long story short, Kirk Cameron did a video with his son, uh, kind of coming out in a way of them, uh, seeing hell as a real place, but not as an eternal place. Uh, and he lays out his views for that in today's video that he just released. Okay. So, at the 144 minute mark, uh, Kirk kind of explains, I guess, his surprise a bit in terms of this sparking a lot of the conversation on this topic and and clarifies exactly where he is on this sort of stuff. Over the last few weeks, that conversation has sparked strong reactions, to put it mildly. Some of those reactions have been thoughtful, like my friends at Answers in Genesis and my friend Ray Comfort, and even, uh, my friend, apologist Wes Huff. Some have been supportive. Many have said, "We've asked these same questions, but been afraid to really put them up on the table." And then some have been deeply critical. I've been accused of denying hell, denying judgment, even denying the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

>> Yeah. I think this is what happens, man, with with conversations like this that just unfortunately people don't know how to parse what is and isn't an essential issue and then also hearing what they want to hear and then creating a straw man out of what they said. You guys should really go back and watch his initial video with his son. I would say a pretty thoughtful 30 minute explanation of what his views are, how they got there, uh, why it, it, it makes sense for them, and still being open of like, guys, I'm not certain of this position, but this is kind of where I'm leaning right now. And that caused a lot of hoopla online.

>> I think it has to do with the culture that we're living in. We now have incredibly short attention spans. I get it. People watch a 10 or 15 second clip, often edited by somebody else, pulled out of context, sometimes intentionally, in order to stir outrage and drive clicks and increase viewership for someone else's channel. In fact, there have been exponentially more views on reaction videos about my conversation with my son than there have been views of people who actually watched the full episode in context. [laughter]

>> Well, yeah. Welcome to, to, to the internet in, uh, in this era, man. Uh, yeah, cuz people aren't going to sit through a 35-minute Bible study, which is what they actually did. They just want the TikTok version.

>> Now, I totally expect that kind of behavior from non-believers, from people who reject God, people who oppose the Christian faith. But what genuinely surprised me, what I was not prepared for, and honestly what was so disheartening to me personally was to see that same pattern coming from within the church itself, from my own brothers and sisters in Christ and even some very influential prominent leaders within the church, who either did not watch the full episode in context or for whatever reason decided to totally mischaracterize what my son and I actually said.

Okay, so here he explains a little later in the video what his position is, what conditionalism is, and why he holds to it. Check this out.

>> Go back. I encourage you, watch the original video. Conditionalism begins with a biblical claim about what human beings are. We're mortals. That means we are subject to death. It started in the Garden of Eden. According to scripture, human beings are not naturally immortal. After the fall, God alone naturally possesses immortality. Eternal life [snorts] is a gift, I believe, and it's something that God grants to those who are saved, the redeemed through Jesus Christ. "He who believes in the Son shall not perish but have eternal life." Immortality is not something that all people automatically possess.

>> I, I think it's important to have these conversations. Again, I don't hold to Kirk's position, but I don't think Kirk's position is that wild of a position to come to when you read the scriptures and study the word and look at church history, right? So, it's interesting that this caused such, such a backlash. Like, I really find it interesting.

>> And then from there, conditionalism clearly affirms this. Judgment is coming and it's real. God is just because he is holy. Sin is serious. And, uh, I think maybe that's some of the, the concern is like, this makes God soft. Like if God doesn't send sinners into an eternal conscious state forever and ever and ever and ever, it makes God soft. Maybe that's some of it, like in terms of the reformed leaning type, type folks, you know?

>> And accountability before God is unavoidable. It also affirms real punishment, including real conscious suffering. Where Christians are differing on their views of hell is not over whether or not judgment happens, but over what scripture says is the final outcome of that judgment. Conditionalism holds that those who finally reject God and die will be judged according to their deeds in full justice and then eventually cast into what the scripture calls the lake of fire, also known as the second death. After full and just punishment, the unrepentant perish, they die, and that death is final.

>> I, I appreciate him clarifying even more so what his actual position is, uh, because I think this would be helpful for people instead of straw manning it. Okay. Now, here he makes, I think, a very valid point that if I'm honest, I think a lot of Protestants struggle with with regards to contextualizing these conversations. What are conversations we shouldn't be having because they're close-handed doctrines? They're essential issues versus open-handed conversations that we've had throughout all of church history. And so he makes this point here. Many of us have never been taught church history.

>> Check this out. In the early church, I mean like way early, like the year 100, 200, 300, 400, men like Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and Athanasius, they emphasized conditional life and final [snorts] destruction apart from Christ. That's the conditionalist view. And then during the Reformation, Martin Luther, the father of the Protestant Reformation, rejected [clears throat] the idea that human beings are naturally immortal. And he openly questioned longheld assumptions about the soul and final judgment.

>> Okay, I didn't know that about Martin Luther. I knew that there was definitely different positions on hell within the early church. And I'm not talking the church fathers. I'm talking about the apostolic fathers, right? Folks within that first 100 to 200 years. So I didn't know that about Martin Luther. That's really interesting. And then in more recent history, respected evangelical scholars like John Stott, F.F. Bruce, and Edward Fudge examined the scriptures carefully and came to similar conclusions. It's interesting that Francis Chan's co-writer in the book he wrote about hell after the book was published shifted his views away from eternal conscious torment and says he is leaning toward conditionalism because he thinks it's more biblically sound, although he's still grappling with some passages. So when I ask questions about how the Bible describes final judgment, I am not rejecting orthodoxy. I'm standing in a long Christian tradition that believes scripture deserves careful, humble, and honest study.

>> Yeah.

>> And to pastors, you are not my adversaries. You are my allies in.

>> Amen. Amen. So he goes on to announce something that he's going to be doing. I've, I, I think I told Kirk, I'd love to help in this in any way, shape, or form I can. This is a dope proposition. Something he's hoping to get people together. Check this out. Here's what I'd like to do next. In the weeks ahead, I want to host a thoughtful scripture-centered roundt conversation with some of my heroes, with some of the best and the brightest. It won't be a debate. It's not going to be a sound bite. It won't be clickbait. I'm talking about men who.

>> We can have a little clickbait.

>> It's okay, Kirk. We can make it spicy, you know.

>> Who love God, who will honor his word and disagree with one another in good faith.

>> Yeah. Yeah. To model for us as students how Christians can have dangerous conversations about topics that matter, with humility, with courage, and with love. No character attacks, no outrage, no shortcuts, just brothers in Christ, opening the scriptures together and showing us as a family of faith how to reason, how to listen, and how to learn.

>> Yes.

>> Without fear.

>> I love it. Because the truth does not fear honest questions, and neither should you.

Now, at the same time, we have to remember something essential. There are core Christian truths that we must agree on. Unity matters when it comes to those things. The truth handed down to us from the earliest days of the church. Those essential beliefs were preserved. They were protected. They were passed on to us in the form of the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed. This was like 300 AD, 400 AD. A confession of faith shared by Christians for more than 1,700 years. And it's interesting that neither one mentions the topic we have been discussing because it is a secondary issue.

>> Yeah, man. Shout out to, uh, Kirk Cameron. I'm excited. I'm excited to see how this conversation goes. I think this is good. I think this is healthy. I think we need to spend more time having these conversations, talking to each other, and I'm glad he made that distinction that there are essential close-handed doctrines that are not up for debate for Christians. And what I appreciate about all of that is that Kirk is not demanding uniformity. He's not trying to cancel anyone. He's saying, "Let's talk about this as Christians. Let, let us reason together." Open-handed theological questions, serious issues, uh, with humility, scripture, and charity. And honestly, that's a sign of a healthy church community, a healthy Christian community, a healthy online Christian community, because strong faith doesn't avoid hard questions. As he said, it creates space to wrestle with them. Uh, so I'll be looking forward to see how he does that. And in my opinion, that's what it looks like to build our foundations on the rock of Jesus' word instead of the sand. Storms don't create weak foundations, they reveal them. So my encouragement to you is simple. Build wisely.
