But the idea here is huge. You could have a main agent that gets a task, breaks it into smaller pieces, and hands each piece to a sub agent. Each sub agent does its thing and reports back. They also added per channel async reactions. So when your agent gets a message in a specific channel, it can react to show it received it. Little thing, but it makes the experience way smoother. Plus, there are cron webhook toggles. Now that means you can set up scheduled tasks and turn notifications on or off. And you can add auth tokens for secure workflows if you're running this for a business. That matters a lot.

Okay, back to the update. Let's talk security because this is where it gets really serious. They replaced SHA1 hashing with SHA256. If you don't know what that means, just know this: SHA1 is old. It's been cracked. It's not safe anymore. SHA256 is the current standard. It's what banks use. So your credentials and data inside OpenClaw are now way more protected.
Next, they locked down Docker sandboxes. Before this, there were ways that code running inside a container could potentially escape and access your system. That's bad. Really bad. Now they've blocked those escape routes. Your container is a jail, and nothing is getting out.
They also added credential redaction in logs. So if you're debugging something and you look at your logs, your passwords and API keys won't be sitting there in plain text anymore. They get scrubbed automatically. Uh, this is the kind of thing that prevents real disasters. One leaked API key can cost you thousands. Now that's handled.
And they fixed access vulnerabilities in the control UI. Cross-site scripting is one of the most common web attacks out there. If someone could inject bad code into your OpenClaw dashboard, they could steal your session, your data, all of it. That's patched.
Now, on top of all that security stuff, they fixed a bunch of agent-level issues, too. Context windows work better now. Timeouts are handled properly. Telegram DMs got fixed. Sub-agent announcements work correctly. Um, the terminal interface got improvements for streaming and sanitization. Basically, they went through the whole thing and tightened every bolt.
