How I Vibecoded a $100k ARR SaaS In A Weekend #softwareengineer #coding #developer

I vibe coded an app in a weekend and I scaled to 100k of revenue in five days. That is an example of the crazy, ridiculous, and in my opinion really toxic and unhealthy stories that are going around the internet these days for anyone that's trying to become an entrepreneur.

Everyone is making it seem like building an app is something you can do in a weekend with Vibe coding and then you can just post one or two videos on social media and you can scale it to a $100,000 business in like a day or something. But as a serial app builder that's built over 14 different apps in the past 5 years, I'm here to tell you that that is not what you should set your expectations as, or else you're going to be severely disappointed.

Now, I really do believe that there are certain edge cases out there who are able to vibe code apps and scale it to huge revenue numbers really quickly. But that is not going to happen to 99.9999% of people out there, meaning it's probably not going to happen to you. Don't get me wrong, building an app has become way easier with the help of AI. But building an app is just one portion of the equation. The other part of the equation is getting users and getting users to pay for your tool and marketing it in front of them.

When I started my app building journey 5 years ago, I thought I'd be retired in 3 months making $100,000 a month and I would be chilling every single day doing absolutely nothing. But clearly that's not the case. Now don't get me wrong, this is probably a skill issue. I'm probably just an extra bad entrepreneur, like a very not good entrepreneur, and that's why it's taking me so long to get my big break. But it's more likely that it's going to take you two, three, four, five years to actually build a substantial software business than building an app in the weekend and scaling it to millions of dollars in a weekend with a single social media post.

Don't beat yourself up. Dream big. Set expectations accordingly. And your ship every single day.
