At the end, when the spell makes everyone forget Peter Parker, he goes to MJ, hoping to remind her who he really is. He even wrote a note to help explain everything.
But here's the catch. He never read it to her. He just folded it up and slipped it back into his pocket.
So, what did that note say? Marvel actually revealed it in the end credits. It starts with, "Dear MJ, you don't know me, so this is going to sound pretty crazy, but the truth is you actually do know me."
And if that wasn't emotional enough, the credits also show Betty Brand's high school documentary. There's a photo of Peter, but his face is blocked by a pigeon, almost like the universe itself is erasing every trace of him. Crazy, right?
