And what this city needs is a healthy dose of the fear of God. I know many of you are just sinning, sinning, sinning without any fear of God. You know, God one day is going to judge your life for every deed. For every beer that you guzzle, every joint that you smoke, God is going to judge your life. So, what you need is a good, healthy dose of the fear of God. God ought to be feared.

>> Cuz he punishes the wicked in hell. That's right. Amen. He's holy and righteous and good and he punishes

sinners with hellfire. Jesus Christ can save you from sin and death and hell. That's good news. Jesus Christ can save to the uttermost. The Bible says

Okay, Justin Morel here. This is a fair in Maui, Hawaii, and we're going to be doing some street preaching. I guess this is a location that one of the event organizers directed the group to in the past and so hopefully we won't have any problems. There's lots of foot traffic. There's a big piece of grass that you know if a crowd gathers they won't be blocking the flow of traffic. So we'll see. And uh we're about to get started before it gets too late. It's uh I think maybe about 7:00. It's just picking up. Lots of people are just arriving. And I'm going to lift up my voice. My voice is a bit horsearse from all the preaching this week on campus and then also this morning. uh preaching uh at the beaches uh from a boat. So, we'll we'll see how it goes.
So, the Bible says that God is calling all men everywhere to repent because he's appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man Jesus Christ. So I came out here to warn you that one day God is going to judge your life for everything that you do, every word, every thought, every action, one day God's going to judge your life. So the Bible says repent. If you're a homosexual, you need to repent and get your heart right with God. The Bible says unless a man is born again, he will not see the kingdom of God. You know, but Jesus died for you. Hallelujah. Good news. Jesus shed his blood for you. And through Jesus Christ, you can have your sin forgiven. Through Jesus Christ, you can have everlasting life. Bible says Jesus tasted death for every man. and whosoever shall call on the name of THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED. And if you're living a life of sin, then you're living a life towards hell. See, your life, the choices of your life, TEND TO HEAVEN or hell. Service to God or service to the devil. The choices of your life are right or wrong, righteous or sinful. leading you to heaven or leading you to hell. And God is commanding all men everywhere to repent. If you're guilty of these things, you need to repent. If you're smoking your marijuana or getting drunk, you need to repent. Yes, God is calling all men everywhere to repent. For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him would not perish like most of you are doing, but would have everlasting life. Hope you read your Bibles, people. It's good for you. Sin is bad for you. So give it up. The Bible is good for you. Read it every day. The Bible a day keeps the devil away.
Uh oh. We we go to different churches. We just get together to preach the Bible.

>> Yeah. I was saved by grace 16 years ago. I was locked up and I heard a hellfire preacher and I realized I deserve to go to hell. And because I deserve to go to hell, I was in need of grace. You see?
>> Yeah. So I I committed my life to the Lord 16 years ago. Been
>> I knew that
>> been grateful for his grace ever since. So I just want to tell everybody what he's done for me.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Why not? So we just did in the parade.
>> Oh, what parade?
>> The parade that they was in the parade. Parade before this bear.
>> Oh, that's cool. Like you you had a float and stuff like a
>> They had a float and we was rapping.
>> Oh, okay. See, do you Christian rap?
>> Yeah, I used to listen to Christian rap when I first got saved. Like uh like KJ52, I met him and talked to him and he would told him how he influenced me, you know, when I first got saved and some other guys. Well, I just got kind of I grew out of it because it used to put me into the same mentality I used to have before I got saved. Like when I listen to rap, it just the same type of feeling. Yeah. The beats, the music. I really like when people redo the old hymns, you know, uh like modern bands that sing the older hymns. I think they're rich in content. That's why I liked rap music, at least the talented ones, because they actually had deep lyric, you know, poetic. Like Tupac would rap about his girlfriend, but it was really his gun, you know? It was it was talent and poetic. A lot of the rappers today don't have that. But but the older hymns, you read an old Methodist himnil and and that's poetically rich, you know. Yeah. You could probably get some good rap lyrics out of a Methodist himnil.

>> New Hope.
>> New Hope. I've heard of them. Yeah. You guys all go to the same church?
>> We were like I I moved on.
>> Oh, you moved to another one.
>> Where'd you go? Well, I flew in from Texas. I I got a little church uh well, a community church I go to in Texas with my family, but I travel all over the country. Was just in Alaska. Now I'm here in Hawaii. Was on the university, preached on over a 100 universities and colleges all across the nation. I'm originally from Connecticut. That's where I got saved and started street preaching there. I went to the inner city, you know, the bus stops, bars, clubs, and all that stuff. Wow.
>> So, for 14 years, I've been traveling, street preaching, and uh this is what I do full-time now. So,
>> yeah.
>> You think of Jesus sent us by like works.
>> Well, well, like I said, by grace through faith, but not a dead faith. Not a faith is, oh yeah, I'm a believer and I'm living in sin. No, real faith results in obedience. Like Abraham was justified by faith, but it also says by faith Abraham obeyed God. Hebrews chap 11, you know, the the the hall of fame of faith, you know, right? So he he obeyed by faith. So when people say, "Oh, yeah. I'm justified by faith, but then they're not living a life of obedience." I say, "Well, like James, show me your faith. What what faith are you talking about?" You know, cuz cuz what you genuinely believe should affect how you live. And if you really trust God, you'll do what he says. You know, I I trust him. He died for me. He shed his blood for me. I mean, I have I have no good reason to ever disobey him. So, like when he tells me do this, do that. Yes, sir. You know, absolutely. Cuz cuz by faith, you know, uh but since you've been saved, can sin send you to hell?
>> I believe you can backslide uh from faith. Uh you can become an unbeliever. I mean, if you if you go back to a life of disobedience, then you're no longer walking by faith. And so, the Bible warns about falling away from the faith. I don't So, maybe that's where we disagree. I don't believe in like a once- saved always saved. Uh I believe, you know, uh you're justified by faith as long as you remain faithful. And you can't claim to be justified by faith if you're not living faithful. It's hard though when you don't believe that there's no peace. You know what I mean? There's no rest because you may think like here and then I die. I don't know if I'm going to
>> Well, there's no peace in sin. That's true.
>> And no, I have no you you should have no security or comfort in sin,
>> right?
>> Uh if I sin and when I have sinned, I've repented. I had to have peace. The Holy Ghost convicted me, told me, "You're not right. You need to get right." And and then when I repent, well, then I have peace.
>> So, yeah. Conditional
>> Bible says you're a new creation in Christ.
>> Yeah.
>> You can like metamorphosize back into an old creation.
>> Well, and then when you
>> Sure, you could look at the look at the prodical son.
>> How many times you go back and forth in that process?
>> I don't know. Throughout your whole life, you're on probation. But if you're a new creature in Christ, you shouldn't be sinning every day,

>> You know, because you're new.
>> But we do fall short every day. Not indeed. Sometimes, but
>> Well, I think it depends on how you define it, but I don't like willfully rebel against God every day. I I live a life of daily obedience, you know, and that was instantaneous. People talk about this progressive sanctification. I know that when I got saved, I was instantly changed in my heart and character. Now, there were still temptations I had to face daily. There were still things I needed to get, you know, uh, stronger in. Some temptations were were weaker and stronger than others. But I lived a life since my conversion of of a habitual life of obedience. You know, I gave up drugs, alcohol, I used to sell drugs. I used I mean, all that stuff. I gave it all up at one shot. You know, I s surrendered my life. And so that's the new creature in Christ. The old has passed, the new has come. And it's it's a radical change of character. But I could I could I could backslide to the old life. I could start going out and getting drunk again, getting high again.
>> But I but I would have no security or comfort.
>> From heaven.
>> Oh yeah. Yeah. You The Bible says, "Be not deceived. The unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God."
>> But that was before the crossed.
>> And no, that was what Paul said to believers. 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 10 was written to Christians.
>> What about when Jesus said that no one can snatch you out of my house?
>> That doesn't mean you can't walk away yourself. The Bible
>> So you can jump out of that.
>> Sure you could. The Bible The Bible warns uh you know Paul exhorted in the book of Acts, he exhorted them to continue in the faith, continue in the grace of God. Well, that implies that you you could fall away. The Bible talks about those who shipwreck their faith. Well, you you can't shipwreck something you didn't have. So they they really had faith. Look at the unforgiving servant. Okay, he was real. He was forgiven. You can't say the unforgiving servant was never forgiven. He was forgiven of his debt. He couldn't pay it. But then he he refused to forgive others of the debts they owed him. And so that he he had his debt reinstated. So Jesus told this whole parable and he said he turned to his disciples and said, "So will my heavenly father do to you if you don't forgive others." And so he's that's conditional security that
>> then also Paul says that we forgive because Christ has already forgiven us.
>> That's right.
>> So it's opposite what you're saying.
>> Jesus was saying if you don't forgive then I won't forgive you. But Paul says we forgive because we know what I mean. So he's trying to
>> Well, yeah. Because he forgave us, we should forgive others. And and as Christians, we do forgive others. But but if I don't, then that disqualifies me from the forgiveness of God. According to that parable,
>> it also says that you're sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
>> Seals can be broken.
>> I guess I guess that's why we differ.
>> I I wrote an article on it. I mean, I went to a church that taught once you're saved, you're always saved. But the more I just read the Bible, I'm like, "Well, what about this verse here? What about that verse there?" You know, like there there were lots of verses that that taught this conditional aspect where the Bible says if we sin willfully after we receive a knowledge of the truth, you know, Hebrews uh 10:31 that s
>> or 10:26,
>> you know, he's trying to bring them into the going back to
>> Well, no, it says that they have tried and underfoot the blood whereby they were sanctified and have counted the uh and have done despite unto the spirit of grace. So that means that they actually were sanctified by his blood. So
>> it also says in those chapters of Hebrews that you know he has cleansed us from all unrighteousness.
>> That's right.
>> All unrighteousness.
>> Yeah. So you shouldn't be sinning anymore. You should be living a a life of daily holiness.
>> Your past sins, your present sins, and your future sins. When Jesus died, all your sins are future sins. You got to think about that.
>> Every single sin.
>> Yeah. But you're you're you're purged and cleansed. But you're cleansed at conversion, which says if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us.
>> 2,000 years ago.
>> Sure. But he died. He died.
>> He saw your whole body.
>> But he died for everyone.
>> I just don't want you to put sin above the cross. Not saying that we should go out.
>> Well, no. I'm saying,
>> right? Well, I think if if you
>> above the cross,
>> I'm but the the forgiveness through the cross is conditional. Like I wasn't forgiven until I believed,
>> you know, even though even even though Jesus had already died for my sin, I wasn't forgiven until I believed. So there's there's forgiveness through the cross, but it's conditional. He died for everyone, but not everyone is saved,
>> right? And you receive him into your heart, but you receive the forgiveness of sins. All your sins. Well, I don't think I don't think you have forgiveness of sins you haven't committed yet. I think if future sins happen, you need to confess it and forsake it. That's why like 1 John 1:8-9 says, you know, if we sin uh or if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin. That's talking to believers there.

>> No, I don't think it is.
>> It's a one time act.
>> He's talking to people who have already been forgiven.
>> How many times can you be cleansed all right?
>> As many times as it takes. Look at the prodical son. That's what I'm trying to say. Trying to wrap your mind around it. I'm not saying to change, but you know,
>> I mean, look at the prodical son, okay? The prodical son knew the father.
>> Then he left the father, went to the pig pigsty, and then he then he came back. And what did the father say? This is my son who was dead and is now alive again.
>> In other words, he's alive for the second time.
>> But he was always a son.
>> Yeah. But he was dead.
>> But he was dead in his sins.
>> And then he became alive again. So, so here is this idea of of forsaking God and coming back
>> become sons of God. Before that, we're not a son.
>> So, even those who are sons didn't matter.
>> So, even those who are sons can become dead in their sins and need to become alive again. That's the idea of forsaking God. You can forsake God. So, you need to be on guard. The world is trying to tempt you. The devil would be out of a job if you couldn't, you know, why is the devil bothering us, you know, if we can't uh forsake the Lord? He's trying to lure us back into sin. You know, he's seeking whom he may devour. So, well, I'm not here to debate. I'm not here to debate once saved, always saved all night.

Uh I see like homosexuals come to the Lord, drug dealers come to the Lord, atheists come to the Lord, Satanists come to the Lord, you know, just out in the streets and in the inner city uh all the time. And it's really like a street preacher movement. You know, we're raising up laborers all over. I just got word today about a preacher from Switzerland who started watching our videos and started street preaching in Switzerland and now he's in Iceland with another uh sister just got

>> Well, let me ask when when were you saved? Were you saved at Calvary or were you saved at conversion?
>> The moment God cross and die for me.
>> So, you were saved before you had faith?
>> When I believed.
>> When? So, you were saved at conversion. Right. So, so forgiveness through Calvary is still conditional upon our repentance and faith. That's just that's where we differ. That's just what we do. That's all.

>> we're still both sons of God.
>> But hey, that's just one little thing we do.
>> Well, don't Yeah. Don't don't don't forsake God and you don't have to worry about it, right?
>> Yeah. Just just keep on keeping on. But I listen, I know people that, you know, really really walked with God, served God, sacrificed for God, and and have fallen away. And I know people say, "Oh, well, they weren't saved to begin with." I don't believe that just from my from what I've seen with them that they I believe they were saved. And it's like, like I said, the unforgiving servant, he was forgiven, but because of his later conduct, he had his pardon revoked. And then he w he w in the parable he was given over to the tormentors. You know, I think Peter Peter was genuinely saved, but then he denied the Lord three times and he needed to be restored.
>> So we need you're saying that we need to live a life of righteousness.
>> Well, righteous a righteous life is the result of faith.
>> That's what it comes down to. Is righteousness a gift or is righteousness a reward of you doing right?
>> I don't think it's a gift or a reward. I think it's a fruit of of a faithful heart. So you can't claim to be justified by faith if you're not bearing fruits of repentance.
>> But through the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness, we reign in life through the one Jesus Christ. The free gift of righteousness.
>> That's true. But gifts, gifts by definition,
>> it's not a reward. It's a gift.
>> That's right. It's No, it's definitely not a reward. But gifts by definition is like a reward because I do write I'm righteous.
>> No, I think righteousness is by faith. Justification is by faith. And a righteous life is what you were asking about. That's the fruit of a righteous heart or a faithful heart.

>> Well, yeah. Well, imputed righteousness is is a gift in the sense that God forgives you. He treats you as if you've never sinned. You know, that's what like you're righteous in his eyes as if you've never sinned.
>> Does he take away that gift when you sin?
>> Yeah, I think he does. You know,

>> Well, it's really I'm giving the gift back. I'm, you know, because
>> an Indian giver. Well, a gift can be received or rejected. I mean, that's the nature of a gift. He's not forcing this gift upon you. He's offering it to you.

>> I don't I don't see any reason to believe that it's conditional upon repent, believe, and persevere onto the end.

>> Well, what Jesus did is on you.

He commands me to persevere and and if I but if I sin I don't feel peace or comfort or security and you shouldn't you should feel conviction and repent of it. You shouldn't feel, you know, peace if you're live if you're living in sin. And that's one of the problems. You got lots of
>> feel the righteousness of God even when you sin. We all sin every day. I can say everybody.

>> I agree with that. So I I don't look at women with lust. I I control my mind. The Bible says we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. You know, uh the power of grace

>> No, I've preached at Marty Gro. I've had women flash me. I we I mean, I've seen it. And I don't lust after them by grace. That see grace doesn't just cover your past sins. It prevents your future sins. You know, the Bible says uh for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared unto all men, teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lust. You know the verse I'm talking about like

>> Yeah. Christians are called saints to the saints in Ephesus to the saints in Rome. We
>> get angry still sometimes. You know, it's still murder in our heart. Well, he says if you're angry without cause, if you're read in the King James
>> and have you without cause after I mean

>> it's really hard to live this life.
>> Well, but when you're tempted

>> I just got there through the great knowing that I'm no matter what, you know, but you've gotten there through you know restrictions on yourself.
>> Yeah. I came under the fear of God and that that you know the fear of God is the beginning it did. I feel like I feel progress.
>> Well, here's the thing though.
>> If you are tempted, he provides a way of escape. It says he never allows you to be tempted above what you're able. So, whatever you deal with on a daily basis, he's providing ways of escape.
>> I'm just saying willpower can only go so far.
>> Yeah. No way. So, so you guys like mask? Yeah. Things like obey the ten commandments do all the ceremonial laws and holidays.
>> No, no, we don't obey the, you know, the Torah. Uh, but you know that love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. That's still obligatory in the New Testament. you know, sum total of the law.
>> Yeah, that's that's still you're still supposed to love God and love your neighbor. That hasn't been put away with. Uh but we don't think, oh, you know what? I need to obey the law to be justified. Let me go get circumcised. Let me go and, you know, do all these things. No, no, no. You put your faith in Christ and you're justified. And then as a result of that faith, you live an obedient life,
>> right? Out of the gratitude that you receive, right?
>> Yeah.
>> From a gift that you receive. Certainly it's out of gratitude but still knowing that that having faith and living by faith is a condition that has no fear of losing my salvation which makes me more secure in my understanding.

>> work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
>> Right. Work it out because it's already
>> What are you afraid of?
>> How can you work something out that's not already?
>> But why why should you have fear and trembling? Afraid of what?
>> That's just a term that the Jews use. So you're interested. The woman was fear and trembling when she touched his garment. He turned around and the woman with fear and trembling was right there.

>> She was nervous.
>> Well, she was nervous for whatever reason.
>> She was healed.
>> Well, she had she was nervous. Well, they you know, they were saying who he said, "Who touched me?" And uh she, you know, she then she's like, "Oh, did I do something wrong?" You know, so she was kind of nervous about it. She's healed.
>> I don't see I don't know why healing would make her fear and tremble. She was she was she was fearing cuz Jesus said, "Who touched me? Who touched me?"
>> And now the whole crowd is like looking at her. So I can see I mean, you know, God is going to
>> Well, that's the way I've always read it. That's the I mean, I've always read it that way.
