Attention creates Reality

Welcome to Attention Creates Reality. This recording will work best for you if you've already listened to and practiced the first recording of the series, Emotions Create Reality.

One of the most important tools your consciousness already has is its ability to focus, steer, switch, and remove attention. What you focus attention on creates reality directly. What you focus on with one of your senses or with your mind, you perceive. What you do not focus on or look at, you do not perceive. Attention determines what you perceive as reality and what not. The moment you are not looking at something, it does not exist. I mean this quite literally.

What you focus attention on first becomes more important, noticeable, more familiar. Keep on focusing on it and it becomes more feelable, more solid, more meaningful and ultimately more real. Beliefs are solidified thoughts that have been focused on so long and with such emotion that they start accumulating similar thoughts and emotions and turn into a package of thoughts we call belief. Believing is therefore a form of high concentration.

Attention is also what you've wanted from others since you were a child and you went to great effort in order to get it. Attention from others is what you become dependent on or demand when you're unable to generate energy, love, or attention yourself or give love and attention to yourself. Having a problem simply means having your attention fixed on something and being unable to release the fixation of attention.

Energy and emotion go where attention goes. Attention is one of the only things that knows no limits. That means you can make it travel anywhere you want and find out anything you want simply by putting your attention on something. Simply by doing that, you find out things about it that you did not notice before. You perceive things you did not perceive before and feel things you did not feel before. Attention allows you to learn everything about anything.

The only reason many people experience each day like the day before and the day before and the day before is because they keep using attention in a similar way as the day before and the day before. If you want to experience something new, you have to put your attention on new things and thus activate new energy vibrations.

The attention of most people is not determined or steered by themselves, but determined by others, controlled by others, reacting to impulses, advertisement, pressure, authorities, media, schools, circumstances, indoctrination, pulled left and right by one's cravings and resistances. So while you apply attention exercises, you regain self-determination rather than being the ball that's being played, you become the player.

Since reality creation is basically a question of where you put your attention, training your attention is one of the most essential things you can do. You are then not working on what you perceive, but on the perceiver. When you are training your attention, you are training the source, the cause and not the effect. You stop searching for the truth out there and start examining the tool with which you were searching. Imagine you've been looking for the truth with a flashlight for many years. Shining your flashlight here and there. Beginning to become aware of your attention is like beginning to examine the flashlight itself, improving its quality, and finally realizing you are that flashlight. You are the light that you've been searching for.

The most basic exercise is to simply focus your attention on something for any given time span. The longer you're able to do that, the more your willpower grows. A willpower that can be transferred to any other issue, thing, or subject. Most meditational techniques are based on focusing attention in one way or the other. Focusing attention, no matter on what, will slow the flow of thoughts, will calm a restless mind.

If you focus on something with the intention of getting into vibrational synchrony with it, with the intention of manifesting the vibration of it, then attention will solidify subtle etheric energy into material physical form. This may sound very esoteric to you, but it's easy demonstrable. Fela, this may sound esoteric to you, but it is easily demonstrable. You know that when you focus on one thing, all other things retreat into the background. When you focus on a thought for a while, real life physical experiences that resonate or match that thought start happening. When you say yes to something, you are focused on it. When you say no to something, you are focused on it. That's why you start to attract everything that you desire, want, appreciate, and you also start to attract everything you don't want, don't like, resist, and fear. Since you are giving off contradictory vibrations most of the day, meaning focusing on all kinds of things you do want and all kinds of things that you don't want, most attention particles are neutralized. They neutralize each other. Understand your attention as an electronic signal and what you experience as reality as the feedback from that signal.

In order to do the exercises and meditations that follow, you'll have to stop the recording after each exercise description. If you're in a cart, do not do these exercises. They are the most appropriate when you feel like improving yourself. Do not force any of these exercises. Enjoy them. And please be aware that attention or focus does not have to mean effort or hard concentration. I mean, look around you in the room. Spot an object. Notice how it's just there, already there. You don't have to concentrate or work hard in order to perceive it. You don't have to attach to it or hold on to it. All you have to do is receive it softly. It's already there. That's the difference between hard concentration and soft attention. In the first mode, these exercises would make you feel exhausted, tired. In the second mode, these exercises will heighten your awareness, elate your enthusiasm, your energy, and your effectiveness.

Exercise number one, the joker card. The joker card that you can pull any time and that will always make you more aware, shift your attention to the better, make you feel more in touch with yourself and where you want to go. Consists of three questions. When you pull your joker card, and you can pull it anywhere, any time, it works in any situation or reality, and you ask yourself the following three questions.

Question one, where is my attention now?

Question two, where could my attention be now?

Question three, where do I want my attention to be now?

The joker card is three simple questions. Where is my attention now? Where could my attention be now? And where do I want my attention to be now? I call this simple three question process the joker card because it will shift your awareness to the better every time you use it. And you can use it in any situation if you have such a joker card. The only challenge is actually using it because sometimes you may be unaware to an extent that you don't even remember to use it. Which is why you might want to remind yourself of the joker card by writing it on a real card and carrying it with you.

I will now go into detail on each of the questions so that you get a better impression of what each of the question is about. Question number one is where is my attention now? You could also ask where has my attention been up to now today or what have I been thinking about or what have I been feeling or what have I been doing? This question removes you from a habitual pattern you are in because you put your attention on your attention instead of being immersed in it. You gain perspective and you sink deeper into the here and the now.

Question number two is where could my attention be now? You could also ask where could my attention have been or where could my attention be today? But the real question is of the dozens of options you have, no the millions or trillions of options you have, where could your attention be? You see, here you allow yourself to realize how habitual and fixed your attention normally is and that it could just as well be on millions of other things. It could be in other countries, on other topics, on other people, on other events. It could be anywhere, even on other planets. In this step, also allow your attention to wander to things you've rarely thought of or you normally don't focus on. This releases the fixation of your previous focus, disperses attention, makes what you were focusing on previously less heavy, less serious, less charged, less important.

Question number three is where do I want my attention to be now? Or where do I want my attention to be today? Or what do I really want to focus on? Or what would feel good to focus on or to look at or to do? After realizing where your attention has been, then dispersing it on other things and thus feeling a bit lighter, you actually determine and decide, decide, decide where you want to put your attention now. You shift focus to something that is good for you because it feels good to you, something better and improved. And you stay with it until you actually feel that relief, feel that improvement in your body. Remember, you are not going to get any problem solved by only focusing on that problem. Your consciousness always needs an example, a picture of what you want instead. And once it has an example, it knows what it can focus on and normally does focus on that automatically. and soon feels much better. But you have to give the example otherwise it won't know what to focus on and its focus will be determined by outside or random events. So what do I want my attention to be on actually really

Exercise number two, attention on attention. This little exercise involves recognizing attention as your only true source of awareness and support. In it, you simply put attention on attention. Meaning, you become aware of what you are aware of. This again removes your viewpoint from identification with a reality to the source of that reality. Let's say for example you're at a gas station and start applying this exercise. Your thought process would sound something like this. Okay, I am aware of that blue car over there. Now I'm aware that I'm judging that car. Now I'm aware of a strange smell coming from behind me. Now I'm aware of how I'm creating a story about that person over there. Now I'm aware of how I'm judging myself that I'm creating a story about that person over there and so forth and so on. Having attention on attention means you are examining where your attention is going on automatic. Thus regaining a sense of control over your attention removing it from automatic.

Exercise number three, shifting attention. Imagine you are sitting in a restaurant and don't speak the language that the waiter speaks. You speak one language, the waiter speaks another language. So, you'll have to be pointing at the things you want on the menu. The waiter comes and you start pointing out the things that you don't want and you're thinking, "I do not want this and this is bad and that tastes terrible and I wish I wouldn't have this." All the while pointing. Now, what do you think the waiter will bring you? He will bring you exactly what you pointed at, exactly what you do not want. The universe is like a copy machine that can only respond to what you activate with your attention. You cannot deactivate or get rid of negative thoughts and emotions. The moment you attempt to deactivate or get rid of them, you are actually activating them, warming them up because you're focusing attention on them. You can only deactivate the unwanted in that sense by activating what you want instead. So when you have a so-called negative or unwanted emotion, thought or condition, the time will come where you will eventually have to shift your attention, shift your focus to what is wanted instead. Otherwise, you'll just keep on getting the unwanted. While it is true that most people can more easily define what they want by first experiencing what they absolutely do not want, this method is not really necessary. All it does is postpone the fulfillment of what you want. All you'd have to do is define what you do want. So, here's a very simple looking yet very important and effective exercise.

Step one, write down things that you have been experiencing that you dislike or do not want.

And step two, for every point on your list, define and specify what you do want instead of that. And that's all really. That is all. Acknowledging what is unwanted, specifying what is wanted instead.

Exercise number four, decide and focus. Decide what you're going to focus on next. When you've decided, focus on that. Now, decide what you're going to focus on next. When you are sure you've decided, focus on that. Decide, then focus. Repeat this several dozens of times until you feel the change in your vibration. the change in your attention until you feel more relaxed, more self-determined. First deciding, then focusing.

Exercise number five, losing yourself in the here and now. Choose a neutral object, something you neither desire nor resist. Perhaps the rug or a curtain or anything else relatively neutral. Then examine it. Look at it. Go into detail on it. Notice things about it that you hadn't noticed before. Learn something new about it. Discover something new about it that has passed your attention up to now. Become increasingly interested in it. Focus on it until you lose yourself in it. Immerse yourself in it. Until all boredom, all impatience is gone totally and until you forget schedules, forget obligations, forget time, forget space and forget even yourself. And once you have reached that state of utter calm and fascination, that high awareness state in the here and now, do the same thing with another object and then another object. Continue this exercise until your senses of well-being, calm, or excitement increase beyond what you formerly thought possible. Don't worry. Since you are not focusing with the intention of manifesting or emotionally synchronizing, you will not attract this into your life. What you are doing is similar to what you do when you lose yourself in a good book or an interesting movie. Sometimes you are so immersed that you don't even hear the phone ringing. What you are practicing here is calming the mind, powering up your concentration, regaining that sense of fascination you had as a little child, regaining devotion and your ability to learn new things. What you are ultimately practicing is the method you used to enter any reality you want and to learn anything you want and to find out anything you want simply by means of attention. You can use the very same method, the very same way of focusing with something that you desire. In this exercise, we are doing it on neutral things to calm the mind and learn concentration. When you do it with things you desire, you do it with the intention of feeling more and more of it, of synchronizing your vibration with it. The longer you look, the more familiar you become with it. The more familiar you become with it, the less you fear it. the more you trust it. The more you trust it, the closer it comes to you. So after you've gained some positive experience with neutral objects, apply the very same exercise of losing yourself to things you would like to have, own, or experience. The exercise can be applied to real life objects, visualized thoughts, memories. It can be applied verbally or in written format or mentally.

Exercise number six, neutralizing charged attention. Charged or fixed attention means you cannot get your attention off something. You keep thinking about it, keep fearing it, keep getting angry or sad about it, or keep experiencing it as a reality, a nuisance. That would be negatively charged attention created by resistance, denial, pushing away, strongly saying no to something. Emotionally charged or fixed attention can also be created by positively charged attention. This happens when you desire something that is on a higher level than your emotional or vibrational state is able to be. So you're on step number four in the desire. On step number seven, this creates a longing, craving, desperately wanting or needing a desire that remains unfulfilled, opposing. One way to release this type of unfulfilled desire is by letting go of the desire altogether. And another way is by upgrading your own belief and vibration to a point where you're in sync with the desire. To be honest, I prefer the second way. But in both cases, resistance and desire, you have the ability to neutralize the attention.

The first way to do this would be to deliberately focus on the issue you are fixed on. Then deliberately remove attention from it to something else. Then deliberately focus on the problem again. And then deliberately on something else again. And then again intentionally describing the problem. then intentionally describing something else. And in this way, keep on alternating your focus back and forth, back and forth, on and off, on and off, switching on and off until the fixation is eventually released. And you can feel the relief. This is an extremely powerful exercise that will work on any issue if it's done until you feel the relief, have new realizations or solutions. Normally, the exercise is done by focusing a few minutes on the issue and a few minutes on something else and alternating in this rhythm. But it is enough if you focus on one thing until you are immersed in it and can feel it and then you switch to the other and then intentionally back into the problem and then intentionally out again. The principle behind this is that you eventually gain complete control of what you not only create intentionally but also get back out of intentionally many times over. You can only let go of what you really have. This exercise is best done in written form, but it can also be done verbally or with the mind.

Another way to neutralize attention is with a very advanced technique. To demonstrate this technique, take out a piece of paper and draw a line, a horizontal line or scale that goes from minus 10 to + 10. The zero in the middle is the point of neutral attention. The minus numbers are points of resistance and fear increasing up to minus 10. The plus numbers are points of desire increasing up to outright craving at number 10. Write down a few examples you would have of various points at that scale. For example, on minus one, you might have writing tax statements if that's something you don't particularly enjoy. Or if you're afraid of spiders, you might have that on minus5. If you're absolutely terrified of heights, that might be on minus 8. If you hate certain people, you may place them on minus4, 5, or 6. Your favorite meal might be on plus one. An attractive person of the preferred sex may be on plus4. Being rich and abundant might be on plus six. Your addiction to chocolate may be on plus 7 and so on.

Now, now, now as you know from physics, positively charged energy is neutralized by negatively charged energy and negatively charged energy is neutralized by positively charged energy. So, as crazy as it may sound, you can neutralize the negatives by projecting positive energy on them and vice versa. Let's say you want to neutralize charged attention on spiders or phobia or fear of spiders. That means you'd start projecting and mentally associating positive things with spiders. Visualizing spiders as cute, nice, cuddly, so sweet, friendly, teddy bear like, nice little teeny weeny, comfy, cozy spiders. At first, you'd hit on doubts and resistances while doing this. Maybe you'd even find yourself unwilling to do this exercise at first, but as you continue, spiders will start moving up the scale. teeny weeny beautiful cuddly nice little spiders. And it moves to minus4 then to minus3 and to minus2 and to minus1 and finally to zero to neutral. When you neutralize attention, you feel a great sense of relief. A fear is overcome. A new perspective, a new perception, a new life begun. But if you'd continue to project desire, longing, wanting on spiders, then it would move even further up the scale, and your neutral feeling about spiders would become a positive one. With some issues such as pain or war or deeper issues, you would not want to do that. You'd want to stop on zero on neutral. Maybe you wouldn't even want to move such issues to neutral, but you could at least move a painful issue from minus 10 to minus3 to ease up a bit on it so that it does not dominate your entire radius of attention and feeling.

Now vice versa, let's say you have craving of chocolate on level seven. and you would like to ease up on that a bit. That means you would simply project the minus the resistance negative association to it. You'd start visualizing and thinking about it as sickening, making you fat, vomiting in connection with spoiled chocolate, poisoned chocolate, unhealthy chocolate, dangerous chocolate, and so forth and so on. Initially you'd have doubts but as you continue to focus in this way chocolate would move down to + 5 + three yucky chocolate disgusting chocolate + one and finally neutralize at zero. If after you've lost your craving, you continue with this type of focus, with this type of imagination, then it would actually turn into real resistance towards chocolate. So stop the exercise before that happens. Having it on neutral or even one plus or two plus is quite enough not to have your attention overtly dominated by it. With this, you have just learned the secrets of neutralizing attention. And this secret will benefit you in many, many ways, some of which you are not aware of quite yet.

What is the value of neutral attention? Well, for one thing, neutral attention is the only type of attention that does not attract some kind of reality. What you say yes to, you attract. What you say no to, you attract. But what you are neutral on, you do not attract. Neutral attention is therefore your point of relaxation. It is also where those people who are heading towards spiritual realms seeking spiritual dimensions beyond this reality like to rest. Zero point awareness is the gate to realities beyond the world of creation. That's why any issue you view with completely neutral attention, without reaction, without pushing it away or pulling it to you will neutralize. And this is another third way to neutralize charged issues by simply sitting down observing the thoughts until they vaporize. Any unwanted thoughts you view like this for a while will naturally evaporate. Neutral attention is similar to a movie camera on a film set. Everyone on the film set is somehow focused on one thing or the other. The camera is the only viewpoint that sees the film set in its entirety that sees everything just as it is. The camera does not have any preferences or resistances and unless it is zoomed by someone, it doesn't focus on anything specific, but takes the whole picture as it truly is. Neutral attention is the most useful sort of attention. Positively charged attention, meaning attention that is charged with an emotional desire for something, is also very useful. But it is only useful when you are on the appropriate level or in the appropriate state to receive what you are desiring. Anything you desire, you start attracting. But with many people, it is not the wanting or intending or desiring that's the problem, but being in a state where one allows oneself to receive what was attracted. Therefore, if you have another look at that scale, + one to + 5, soft desire and appreciation of something rather than a needy craving for something, which would be 6 to 10, is most conducive to attracting that reality.

Exercise seven, defragmenting attention.

Step one, write down questions you've been asking yourself or take issues you've been thinking about and rephrase them to questions you want answered. Or simply create a list of questions you'd really like to have answered.

Step two, now have another look at your questions, your questions list, and rephrase them if necessary so that they become better, more intelligent questions. Upgrade the questions. For example, if you want to lose weight, you could be asking yourself the question, "Why am I so fat?" or why am I overweight? But there's a more intelligent question you could ask. You could rephrase that question into how can I lose weight? Or an even better question to ask, how can I lose weight and enjoy the process? In this sense, see if there's any question on your list that you can upgrade.

Step three, answer the questions yourself before turning to anyone outside of yourself. Before looking for the answers out there, ask yourself these questions. Use your intuition, your imagination, your common sense, and your gut feeling of self-determined spiritual authority to find answers within yourself. Answers you are satisfied with. If there is an answer you are not satisfied with, think deeper or rephrase the question until you can answer it and feel good about the answer. The answers that come from within you are always better than the answers that come from another source.

Step four. Now, if you want to, you may address the questions to others if you still need to. You can also address the questions to your inner coach or higher self. You can say the following prayer before falling asleep. Thank you higher self or thank you God for showing me that these issues are already solved. Thank you for showing me that these issues are already solved. That's a nice prayer. Or you can visualize a representation of your higher self and ask the questions to that higher self. Or you can ask them to someone you respect. It's up to you. The point is that it gives your attention relief to have unanswered issues answered. And even more power is gained when you can answer them yourself.

Exercise 8. Using attention to manifest the desire.

Step one, write down a goal you have or a desire you want to manifest. Is now the moment to choose from the millions of options you have a desire, a goal, an intention. Because if you do not choose, your focus does not know where to go. So write down a desire you want to manifest, an honest desire.

Step two, now specify this desire. Write about it in detail. If you want, you can write something like a film script with a scenario and even dialogues. But just make what you want very specific. It doesn't mean things will manifest in just this way. But it is important to give consciousness a specific example of what it is you want. If you simply say, well, I want to be happy. Well, happiness means many different things to many different people. That is not specific. Write down what it means to you. Pictures, ideas, examples, scenarios. Focus attention on this desire by specifying it.

Step three. Next, write down the reasons why you want this. I want this because because answering the why question, listing reasons for your desire focuses your attention even stronger, even more powerfully on the desired outcome.

Step three. Now write down reasons why you believe you can experience this, why you believe you do deserve this, why you believe you will achieve it. This will focus your energy even more.

Step four. Now simply feel the result of your focus in your body. Let go of any expectation of when and how this desire should manifest. Allow the universal manager to take care of it. Let the feeling be evidence enough. The feeling evidence enough. If things come up that only seem to contradict your desire, stay in your feeling. Nevertheless, remain in the vibe. Remain in the flow of that desire. Do not react to these countervents as if they were contradicting your desire. Do not randomly act on your goal. Instead, only act on the opportunities that come up because of your new vibrational intent. Or act on things that would inspire you in that direction. Or act as if you were already in that desired reality.
