The dark side of Brian Ayala's ministry

Against The Text1:22:07

Transcription

A lot of my own um issues after that after that happened and I went through um a time of deep depression. I was suicidal. I like I said I didn't understand why this was happening uh why I had to go through it. But looking back on it now from where I am today I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Lord was always with me.

We don't chase vibes we chase verses bringing reclaim to the judge of judges. Hot takes melt when the text start burning. We're reform and we're always learning. Every ism gets the same cross exam. Hold it to the word. If it bends, it's a sham. Not our feelings. Not cult is a trend. If it contradicts scripture against

Welcome everyone to another episode of against the text. It is your brother in the Lord Pedro and your brother Chris. Man, what's up dude? Dude, it's been some time man, man. It's crazy how life just comes along, man. But um again, we find it necessary. We find it necessary. We find it necessary. Again, this page is called against the text. Yeah. Not because we're going against the text, though. Some people had thought that. Yeah. You know, but Well, really, it's it's anything that goes how does how does your theology how does your logic match up against scripture? Yeah, that's really what it is. And not only that, even our lives. Even our lives. Exactly. Exactly. And that's that's what I was going to say right now. even even the the very edge of our life. Uh are we really in Christ? And so um you guys seen that intro clip. Um that intro clip is talking about something very interesting and very unfortunate to be honest because yes, we all have a secret past life. And in this video, as we highlight the pastor of Extreme Harvest Church, Brian, uh we want to bring some things to light because uh things have beun to escalate. Um and there's a lot of momentum catching on this. And I think more eyes and more ears need to be on this specifically um spiritual leaders p people who have partnered with Brian Ayala people who have endorsed him in the past people um this isn't this this goes beyond theology now um because now it's trickling into people's lifestyles and it's affecting people not in a good way but there is a lot of sheep being wounded in the process of Brian's ministry. Yeah. And this seems to be getting dismissed for whatever odd reason. And so we want to Yeah. And this is this is scary, guys. Like it's it's uh when someone's I mean, nobody likes being confronted. Nobody likes their past coming out. Um if you were to dig up into my past, would you find some ugly stuff in me? Yeah, absolutely you will, man. Absolutely. Um that's that's not the issue, right? Can we be forgiven? Absolutely. Uh but there's a difference between qualifications and forgiveness. So, uh, and then we'll get into it here in a little bit, but I do want to read this verse here because this is what as a believer in Christ and not just a believer, right? Or elders in elders, uh, leaders in the church, this should you should be living by this, but not only leaders and elders, but this is the life of every Christian. This is what what 1 Timothy 4:16 says.

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. And so it all boils down to this. How seriously do we take God's word? Is it really something that we do treasure? H what is our view of God? Do we have a high view of God or do you do we have a high view of ourselves? Because I can guarantee you when we have a high view of ourselves, reputation, platforms, um livelihood will depend on that. But when we have a live high view of our of our God, our creator of the universe, again, we we we do what Psalms 51 says with David, right? Against you and only you have I sinned. And this will cause repentance no matter the consequences. And there's a difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. Worldly sorrow really cares about the worldly things. Uh when stuff comes out about them, there's no repentance. There's a lot of damage control. And this is what we're seeing.

Exactly. This is exactly what we're seeing. If any of y'all have been following this um what's been going on with Drew Anderson, how Drew Anderson was pretty much Brian Yala's right-hand man at one time, right? and uh chose to left the church or more so gotten kicked out of the church. Um and it took it took him about 3 years to come forward on some things. He finally came forward on how his experience was at that church, how it negatively affected him and his family. It didn't it had a long lasting effect on him and same thing with other families. Anybody who has left extreme, I mean, name somebody who has left extreme on good terms. I don't think I've heard any, man. I haven't heard any testimony where like, man, that's a solid church. We no longer live there no more, but blah blah blah. Um I I haven't heard any of them. And that's a small one. Um but everyone who has left has said some diabolical things about Brian. And sure, we can blame it on their bitter or they're bleeding on everybody. They like to use that a lot, unfortunately. Um, but we want to um I Brian has been named among the individuals who dealt with sexual morality. And if you watch Stephanie's video, um, we'll put a small, you know, her thumbnail right here so that way you guys can go watch it for yourselves. Um, there is a detailed story about her and Brian while Brian was pastoring in ministry.

And this is while he was pastoring. This is while he's pastoring. Bro, this uh if this alleg if these allegations are coming down where you're pastoring, you're no longer qualified. and and you can't be qualified. It's not like you can re-qualify and just keep doing this all over again. No, this is this happened.

Let's talk about that, right? Can someone be qualified again? Yeah. Um, but it all depends, right, on the context on on what actually happened? Was that person a true believer during that time? Um, did they did they repent, right? Uh, there's there's a lot of nuances that we we I like John MacArthur's um take on re-qualification. And I and I I didn't necessarily hear from John MacArthur. I heard it from one of our elders. Uh, but he said if someone were to ever be reququalified, their repentance needs to outweigh their sin and it needs to overwhelm that. Now, if the damage has been done and you brought in reproach upon the name of God on a massive scale, I don't think there's any re-qualifications there. Yeah. likes Steve Lawson. There's no require camp. He's he's he's a reformed brother. He's in our camp. One of the best teachers I've probably ever heard. I learned a lot from the guy. Yeah. Uh have tons of his books and everything. And so, um but he he can never qualify as a pastor. Yeah. He can never qualify anymore as a pastor. And that's important because Brian right now is dismissing this as this was in the past. He's even affirmed it in a video. I even show you a clip right here. This week we have a 10year-old situation again coming back to try to dismantle and destroy where he claims that oh they want to bring up something that happened 10 years ago when all he does is brag. He's been pastoring for over 20 years in holiness. In holiness, right? We got to live holy and and and all for 20 years. And do you mess up as a leader? Sure. Do you fall short of the glory of God as a pastor? Sure. But there are qualifications that you cannot violate. This is the problem.

What does above reproach mean? Above reproach means that you can't that as a leader like Brian, right? A lot of leaders around here, there's going to be accusations thrown at you. And the the to be above reproach is that these these accusations can't be valid. Above reproach. Does it mean uh perfection? It doesn't mean perfection. Okay. It doesn't mean perfection at all because a lot of people would That That's good that you brought that up because people were saying, "Well, then who can be a pastor?" Yeah. Because if it did, nobody could be a pastor. Yeah. Nobody could. But no, what this means is you need to be well spoken of of outsiders. Yeah. And is Brian well spoken of of outsiders? I don't think so. Yeah. And and and I want to add a couple of things here, right? Because uh being above reproach literally means that a man's life is not uh categorized by a pattern of sin. um is not categorized by scandals or hypocrisy or doineering behavior. Right. Right. Right. Or any behavior that brings legitimate disgrace upon the name of Christ and the church. Exactly. Right now, this whole situation that's happening right here, that's a scandal. Yeah. So, it it is it is a heavy scandal. And there's more than a few things accusations being thrown at them. drugs, money, money laundering, probably uh mishandling the church's funds, um sexual morality. We want to be careful with the allegations, right? Yeah. Again, we're not making these claims and u but we're highlighting things that have been probably said amongst their group and all that, but all I'm saying is Brian, you and and your leaders are going to have to give an account to God. And in light of speaking on this, I want to read a passage because for every leader that that that's at extreme for everyone that is back backing up Brian in light of everything that has came out, the time frames, right? The the dates, the events of what happened, his wife knows, all these people know and they choose to suppress it for what? The money is too much now. Like this is your livelihood now. like I don't know but I want you on shame on you for everyone who's endorsing this you are participating in Brian sin but I want to read this to you and it's in Ephesians chapter 5:es 1-6 pay close attention um because this is for believers in Christ not just elders not just leaders but real believers in Christ now it says

uh therefore be imitators of God as beloved children and walk in love just as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Verse three, it says, "But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you as in proper among the saints." We know that Brian has been named among all these things. Verse four, it says, "Nor filthiness or foolish talk or coarse gesting which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks." We see behind the pulpit, he spews out perversion. Yes. Left and right. Perversion never ceases to end with this man. Verse 5 says, "For this you know with certainty that no one sexually immoral or impure or greedy or who is an idoltor has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. The wrath of God is waiting for everyone who is participating in these things, endorsing these things, doing these things, and saying they're believers, especially men who are claiming to be leaders, spiritual advisors. Um, there's so many wild claims that is coming from this church. I am surprised that not everybody comes out, sounds the alarms and shuts this thing down. Everybody needs to really come out and say, "Okay, this is it. This is it." They need they need to blow the whistle on this thing already. Why? Because in the process of any of you guys letting this ministry continue to go on and not saying anything, not doing anything, people are getting hurt, women are getting hurt, kids are getting completely deceived. Those claims we can make because we know by the sound, gracious doctrine of our God throughout scripture being undefiled that Brian doesn't preach the gospel. He doesn't preach sound doctrine. He doesn't know his way around the scriptures, which is one of the qualifications. You need to be able to rightly divide the word of God, cut it straight. He doesn't know any of these things. And yet, he's over here being loud. And that is his qualifying.

I'll give you an example. And I'll give you an example, right? Yesterday's sermon. And yes, Brian, we watch your sermons. I'm going to keep watching them. Um ju just just because I I I want to be the I don't want to come off the wall, you know what I mean? I don't want to come off the wall. I want to be a watchman, right? The the true watchman. But uh what is it? He he's talking about Matthew 27:1. And he says that the governor in that verse is Herod. Um again, he doesn't know, like you're saying, he doesn't know context. He doesn't know how to interpret the scriptures. He doesn't know how to rightly divide it. Right. And and I'll give you an example. We'll play that clip here

in Matthew 27. Let's go over to verse 11. that Jesus stood before the governor. Mind you, the governor was Herod. Herod was the governor at THAT TIME AND HE WASN'T A GOOD GOVERNOR. And the reason, you know, he wasn't a good governor BECAUSE THERE WAS NOBODY FROM ROME THAT WOULD GOVERN that would want to govern in Jerusalem. Can I get an a and then look at what Matthew 27:11 says. Now Jesus stood before the governor. You just saw that he said the governor was Herod. He's wrong. And the governor questioned him saying, "Are you the king of the Jews?" And the Jesus said to him, "You yourselves say it." And while he was being accused by the chief priests and elders, he did not answer. Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?" Again, the governor was not Herod. Simply reading the text shows you that the governor was Pilate. It wasn't Herod. And so, this is where somebody that doesn't do their homework, right? who doesn't really take the word of God seriously in that way. Um is just going to proof text and tell you whatever they want to fit the narrative. Right?

And so again, this and we've seen him do this constantly over and over and over. And so we we want to go over the damages that has been done so far and the misleading that has been taking place at Extreme Harvest Church with his leaders because he keeps saying this stuff, you know, don't come off the wall, meaning don't bow, don't bend, you know, don't leave, you know, don't stay with me, you know, stick around. And he and you know, hold on, I'm sorry, man. Before you continue, this guy one, he first before all these allegations came out, his sermons were really like, hey, if you start hearing things, that type of man, you know, and then now he's like, you're hearing these things, stop hearing these things. Yeah. It started it started with Drew. So Drew made a video and he dropped it on April 2nd and I confirmed the dates on that. He dropped on April 2nd and all he did was highlight, you know, this is what was going on. This is the type of manipulation that was taking place and so on and so forth. And then from there on, you know, Brian has been going through some stuff. I guess his mind he's been going through some mind battles and he's been getting kind of worried. People have left because of these things. And about two weeks before the video had came out, which we knew the video was going to come out. Yeah. Two weeks before the video came out, all his sermons were like, you know, they're going to say things about you. Kind of preparing the people to hear some wild allegations against him. People are going to say things. People are going to dig up your past. People are going to Why was he going there? And do you see his sermons? Right. Church worship is supposed to be about Christ, glorifying Christ, pointing you back to Christ. Exactly. This is all around Brian. Yeah. It it is. It is. And he makes a sermon about you and himself. And and and that's just wrong. That's not That's not a real church. That's not a real worship service. It's not. And and and and it shouldn't be revolved, like you said, it shouldn't be revolved around one man. It shouldn't be revolved around any man. And men shouldn't be highlighted within the teaching of God's word so much more than Christ, right? And you don't see Christ being highlighted. Here's what you do see. You see all the weird byproducts that he talks about. All we do is preach the gospel without ever preaching the gospel. What is the gospel? He literally all Exactly. What is the gospel to Brian? Right. Um, and he he really just it's all this fluff. If you know and you're there and you've seen Brian teach, you you've watched his sermons constantly, you've been in service, if there was no altra call, if the music died down, if the lights were turned on, if the all this synth and padding music, background stuff was put away and the smoke, the smoke machines, the lights, and it was the Bible and Brian you guys would be completely lost in the sermon. There'll be no emotions, no anything. So, you know, the driver of Brian is only emotions. And I've I've sat through one of his Bible studies because I attended there in 2020. And he makes absolute no sense when he's I'm not I'm not saying that to be mean, but there's real no substance. There's no depth to his teaching. It's so shallow. It's all about God having a plan. It's the same thing over and over. God has a plan. God wants to do these things. Out of all the sermons that I've heard from Brian, um I've never been like, man, I need to check my heart here. I need to start having a different pattern of life here. It's always been like this is so what do we do from here? The emotions are gone. What do I do next? Exactly. When I hear a true biblical sermon, there's conviction in my heart. And it makes the people have to rely on Brian because when they go home, they're living off that hype for a few days until they got to go back and get another dose. And that's even what Brian pushes, you know, come get another dose of the Holy Ghost. Come get instead of people just being able to kind of cling to Christ and get the true substance of God's word and have really something to hold on to forever with or without Brian. like if I ever leave our church or if you ever leave the church, it's not that all they teach is sound doctrine. And so we have something to truly hold on to. We're not holding on to the teachers there. We're not holding on to anybody like that. But in this church, they're holding on to Brian. Everybody's holding on to Brian and they they're holding him so close because to them, this is what holiness looks like. And don't touch God's anointed. and they made all these crazy claims, but I want to highlight a post and uh the person's not hurt at all. And the person was Stephanie. Stephanie um saw a post that was written by Lori Low. This is Darwin Low's wife. And they now pastor their own church on Worbach, I believe. And they are the spiritual advisors still at Brian's church. And they're the marriage counselors at Brian's church. Wow. So, um that's kind of scary, man. That is kind of scary. That is That's really scary. Not not kind of. This is really scary. And so here's what the post reads. I think I sent it to you. Yeah. Um, but here here's what the post reads. And this this is someone who has lived with Brian was Brian's assistant. she saw the ugly and Brian the the all the the video that you guys would will probably go watch and have already seen with Brian uh which is Stephanie's video is that Lori knew about the drugs the money the all of these things supposedly so Lori and Lori um if I'm not mistaken gave Brian her daughter at 10 he raised Ana I mean he's publicly said it like hundreds of times that he's raised um Lor's daughter, which is the whole sit family situation is kind of weird. It's neither here nor there, but ju I just want to reference all these things because to tell you how close uh to the situation that Lori is to Brian and all these allegations being made towards Brian. Now, someone who is coming out and saying, "I did these things with this pastor. I was single. I, you know, hung out with this pastor. I foul with this pastor and I expose myself. You would think she would be the one that the church would actually, you know, start to protect and hold and and actually see things from a biblical perspective, but we're seeing the complete opposite. We're seeing their leaders bash her, telling the church publicly to stay away from her, get away from the noise, saying all these subliminal messages online, and kind of just telling her to get over it. Just get over it. It was a long time ago. Get over it. But Brian got to heal supposedly, right? Brian got to got to continue to pastor, continue to collect money, continue to go while this single girl that wasn't married and wasn't pastoring at the time like Brian was fell into dreadful depression, fell into uh all kinds of stuff. She wanted she was suicidal. But actually, before we play that, before I read this, let's um let's watch a real that Stephanie made that kind of highlights the the whole thing.

And here it is. Brian is not Jesus and Brian is not God. And people follow him like he is a God. people coming out now has it's given me the courage and finally tell my story. I had to navigate a lot uh a lot of my own um issues after that after that happened and I went through um a time of deep depression. I was suicidal. I like I said I didn't understand why this was happening uh why I had to go through it. But looking back on it now from where I am today, I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Lord was always with me. I remember he took my phone and he messaged this guy who still to this day remembers this because he was so taken aback because he really thought that we were going to be together. And he messaged him and said, "Hey, I'm her pastor and I'm her spiritual guide and you need to not contact her anymore." basically and this particular incident while I was in the room that morning he came into the room he laid down next to me cabinets I see like smearing off bottles the spoon with the the white residue on it and then the lighter right next to it. Um so I handed her the spoon and the lighter and she took it from me and she's like don't worry about it I'll take care of it. That was it. There was I didn't get any other explanation, no followup, no nothing after that for for that. He he did use drugs during his time in ministry.

All right. So that that that was Lorie's post. Um she posted that reel all over the place. And Lori or Stephanie? I mean Stephanie, my bad. That was Stephanie. But the the girl that took the drugs and the alcohol and that she went to to confide in about Brian, what she saw about Brian, um it was Lori at that time. And this was probably around 2014, 15, some somewhere around there. And again, Brian has been pastoring, I believe, since 2006, which 20 years ago. Yeah. 2005. Yeah. 2006, 2005, somewhere around there. Yep. I was in high school, man. Yeah. And so Brian has been doing this for a while. And these allegations were in 10 years after he was pastoring and he's still pastoring today. And so this is what that lady that was being talked about by Stephanie Lori had said and she goes on to write um Wednesday night uh she wrote, "I used to have a boss at USAA and she would make me so mad when I would complain. Her response was always, "Get over it." Funny how those words hit different today. Church, we've been hurt, cheated, lied on, accused, betrayed, overlooked, and wounded by people we trusted. But at some point, you have to stop bleeding on everyone around you. Stop replaying the offense. Stop carrying what Jesus already died to heal. Get over it and forgive in big capital letters. I'll give it to you. Uh, not because they deserve it, but because your freedom is worth more than your offense. Mamas, you got littles. What What are they seeing? Rebellion, offense, or do they see freedom? And she's saying that this was pastor Heather Scott from um, Mercy Culture, Mercy Culture Church, Liz Landon Shott's wife. And so they have they had attended a conference. And interestingly, Brian highlighted parts of that conference. Yeah. At his church on last Sunday, I believe. Yes. And when he highlighted it, it was interesting because it was like this is so convenient. And you know, Mer uh Mercy Culture is dealing with something similar with Dr. Michael Brown, right? With these allegations. So that's why they're that's why this cover up culture thing is taking place right now. It's like this was in the past, just leave it. This was in the past. Just leave it. What about Peter? What about Paul? What about all these apostles who were who were wicked men at one time? Here's the problem. Yeah. They weren't doing that while leading the church. Exactly. They weren't doing this while leading the flock. They weren't doing any of this. And I get So, what are people going to say? Um, oh, what about Peter? Was while he was a disciple, didn't he deny Christ three times? So, again, he wasn't a leader. He wasn't Yeah. He wasn't even appointed to leave the church yet. Exactly. Yeah. It was until he repented and he faced God and Christ specifically chose him. But nonetheless, this had nothing to do Brian's situation and anyone like Dr. Michael Brown, um Robert Morris, um all of these pastors, Mike Bickl, all of these scandals that have been coming out. This has been going on while they're pastoring. And this is what they need to do is completely stop because they violated. They can no longer um qualify for uh a leader. Now, that is l that's what the Brian's church is producing. Hey, you were offended at this church. Get over it. Hey, my pastor slept with your wife. Get over it. Hey, you saw my pastor doing drugs at one time. He he still loves God. Get over it. Oh, he said something foolish over the pulpit. That was last week. Get over it. Yeah. Yeah. And and here it's like what the thing you talking about? Uh, like I mentioned a little while ago.

All right. Here and again people like to misrepresent what qualifications and forgiveness are. People think like that doesn't mean you can't be forgiven. Right. You can be forgiven, man. Again, and I told this to Brian personally. Um, you can be forgiven but still disqualified. Right. Right. Um, and that and that's and again people love to use David in these situations because David sinned. He he committed adultery with Bashibba. But where in the text does it say that David was a pastor? Yeah. He wasn't even a pastor and we can't equivalate of a body of church. A king. Yeah. Yeah. To a pastor today. Exactly. And then he was a shepherd. Come on, guys. A He was an actual literal literal shepherd. He wasn't pastoring or leading uh uh a church. Right. Exactly. And you can apply that because the church came when after Christ. This is literally in the new test. This is Christ church. Christ established the church and that and he's the chief shepherd. And so uh again uh he this is you cannot conflate kingdom leadership with church leadership. Like that there's no way those two are are are mixing and matching together. Um David was not a pastor. Um he would not be a qualified pastor even today. Uh I'm pretty sure David would probably take gladly take the seat and just learn from other pastors. Oh yeah. And and and sit under leadership uh shephering authority. Um does that mean that you can't serve in other areas like um uh like brothers in the Lord? Uh yeah, again you you uh you're just disqualified from a p pastoral role. That doesn't mean you can't preach the gospel or be restored to the body of Christ, you know, like Exactly. And and the the crazy thing is is Everyone watching out there, if you're sticking with Brian, Noah, Valerie, all his leaders, I I love you enough to tell you, run from this man. Seriously, run from him. He's leading you to hell. He's unrepentant. He's not a sound biblical leader. If God were to come now, Brian would not go. He's an unrepentant man. He he he his life is showing that his heart is harden. I want to mention that too that his heart is hardened and it's getting harder and and we and Peter were talking the other day. This looks exactly when you read the book of Romans chapter 9. Romans chapter 9:6, but it says um but it is not as though the word of God has failed for they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel nor are they all children because they are Abraham's seed. But through Isaac your seed will be named. That is the child of the flesh are not um that is the children of the flesh are not the children of God. But the children of the promise are considered as seed. For this is the word of the promise. At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son. And not only this, but there was Rebecca also when she had conceived twins by one man, our father Isaac. For though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that the purpose of God according to his choice would stand, not because of works, but because of him who calls. This is this passage is highlighting God's sovereign choice. Verse 12, it was said to her, "The older shall serve the younger, just as it is written, Jacob I love, but Esau I hate it." These were twins. Why did he hate Esau? Verse 14. What shall we say then? Is there any unrighteousness with God? May it never be. For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. So then it does not depend on the one who wills or the one who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I raised you up in order to demonstrate my power in you and in order that my name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth." So then he has mercy on whom he desires and he hardens whom he desires. The reason why he brings up Pharaoh in this passage because we see in Exodus 4 that he hardened Pharaoh's heart how many times? 10 times. And that also says Pharaoh harden his own heart. Pharaoh harden his own heart. And both are true. They're not contradictions. They're just both are true. Yeah. Um, and Pharaoh's what did he do? He played the sorry card for some reason right now Brian's playing the victim. Yeah. I mean, if you look at the book, the story of of Israel being the Exodus, right? Um Pharaoh had this false repentance. Okay, I'll let I'll let the people go. Just just get rid of this plague or whatever the case is, right? Okay, I'll let I'll let your people go. Just just stop the the frogs from spilling over the mats and and the animals, the beast, right? Um, he kept going back to that false repentance. It was a false repentance. Yeah, Brian kind of kind of does the same thing. Right now you can hear him crying. He is doing the same thing. Uh, he's What is he doing? Oh, I'm not saying anything. You know, I haven't said anything to them. I haven't brought nobody's names up. Playing the sorry card. playing the having this victim mentality when he was the one that did the offense, right? He's playing his victim. And how did how how did all this start, right? Because this is not merely the allegations, right? This is this has been going we did we did this podcast two three years ago. I don't even remember how long ago. It's already what three years ago around there. Yeah. And and what we brought up were the al were not even allegations, just the twisting of God's word, right, that Brian has been doing. And that's where it started. That's how it's been how how it's went. It's it's because of the twisting of God's word. Again, I mentioned earlier, do you if you have a low view of God, the scriptures mean nothing to you. Yeah. You'll use them to benefit yourself. You don't regard God at all. A a sin become in private becomes super easy. Um, you don't have this weight on your conscience when do we all sin? Have I sinned in privately? Yeah, we I I think everybody uh comes to that point where yeah, you sin privately, but what do we do with that sin, right? Do we confess our sin? Absolutely. Yeah. Um, we confess our sin no matter how big or small again and we've emphasized this in the in this podcast many times before. Uh, the story of Joseph, how could I do this great evil before the Lord? Exactly. And and and that's that's that's where it matters to where it's like I like how Ray Comfort says this, right, with pornography. Um, you wouldn't do this in front of people. Why would you do it when God is when you're alone? God is still there. Exactly. Uh, you wouldn't do this in the in the pew, right? Who who would do that, right? Who would watch pornography in the preview? But yet, in the presence of God, in the presence of God, nobody else is watching because and it's all because you have a low view of God and a high view of yourself. This is why it's so easy for you for people to watch pornography. They feel, these individuals feel like somehow they'll escape because of their good deeds. They feel like they're going to escape the wrath of God because they're doing Does Brian do good things? Probably. He He said it last night. He feeds the poor. He goes out. He He w You know what? Keep going. That brings me to this passage. Yeah. He He witnesses and and uh he goes to the west side and helps people and he does all the Has he done that? I I He's done that. I I've seen them. Yeah. They're out there on on uh 410 and um Ingram preaching the gospel to them on Thursdays. Well, not the gospel. Not the gospel, but they're out there saying stuff, you know, and and with their signs and they're doing things out of the goodness, I believe, of their heart. They really believe they're making a difference and everything like that. And and it's and it's amazing to see people putting in a lot of effort to something they truly believe in. That is a beautiful thing. But people are finding their safety in that. They're finding their safety in those things and not their safety hidden in Christ. And this is what idolatry actually looks like is to find your security in actual actual things and really not in Christ because what if all of these things are gone? Yeah. You know, what if what if tomorrow Brian ends up on his deathbed or one of us end up on our deathbed? What what do we have to hold on to? Exactly. and and what you just mentioned right now, all the good things that he's pointing to. We have a building that we're going to purchase. It must be God that's going to give us this. We have we have all these thing these good things that are happening. Uh, it must be God. And I'm sorry. And he's saying that because it's like back off. This is what you're you're messing with good things here. Yeah. Exactly. And he's pointing to like if if I was a false pastor, none of this would be happening. That's not that's not true. Um, and then and and this points me back to Luke 18. Okay, let me let me show you what Luke 18:9 says because again, a a per a self-righteous person, they point to their good deeds. They look at look at what I've done. I fast twice a day. I I um I give a tenth of all that I have publicly. And what does a repentant sinner do? Doesn't even look up to heaven, but says, "Lord, have mercy on me, the sinner." Yeah. He knows he has nothing to offer. Luke 18:9 it says, "And he also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and viewed others with contempt." Two men went up into the temple to pray. One, a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and was praying these things to himself. God, I thank you that I'm like I'm not like the other people, swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. What did he say? Hey, I fast twice a week. I paid tithes of all that I get. But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, "God, be merciful to me, the sinner." And again, hold on before watch I I want you to compare this verse, these these these few verses that I just read are here and look at Brian's sermon right now. You're going to see a lot of the Pharisee here. Look at what I've done. Yeah. Look at the fruit that I produce. Yeah. Look at all this. Uh, you want to pay attention to the naysayers and the haters and look at the sermon and and match it up with what the Bible actually says. Exactly. This is exactly what a self-righteous person does. They want to take the heat off their back, put pour water on the fire so that the attention can be away from them and look at the good things that are happening. That does not mean that you are in Christ. just because all the success happens just because you have a successful church. And Brian uh, you might you might have a successful church after this. I don't know what's going to happen. Or the Lord might himself might just shut it down. Either way, it's going to be the Lord. Either the Lord will let let that continue to where he's hardening hardening your heart or he'll shut it down and you might still harden your heart. I don't know.

And you know what? I was going to mention something similar right now. Um, what does God's mercy on Brian look like? Exposing his sin. Yes. Yes. Calling him to repentance, giving him an opportunity to be broken over it, feeling the weight of his sin, feeling the torment of God's anger, feeling the the heaviness of it all, humbling himself, throwing the ministry in the trash. People might not think this is what God's mercy looks like. But it's better to lose all of this. Yes. Than to lose heaven. Than to lose Christ. Than to have nothing to do with Christ. This is nothing. Your reputation platform. We need to focus on Christ here. And that's and that's what God's mercy is that God wouldn't allow you to die in that sin. He wouldn't allow you that. That is mercy. And mercy doesn't look like what people are saying. It looks like like Brian, oh, God's going to bless you. You're beautiful. He's going to bless you with all these things and God's going to pour out his loving mercy on you. And if you notice, every time people uh he does like a fundraiser. Um I think he did one earlier today. He said um he did do one earlier. Yeah. Where he said somebody gave a generous amount, $500. I don't know if it was 500. Oh, maybe. I don't know. I can't remember. But he said, "Man, the Lord's going to bless you with abundantly." and something along those lines. But why is it always when it's monetary stuff, you know, like why when it's a fundraiser? Yeah. What if no one has those abilities? Are they just not in favor of God now? Yeah. Are they and and this is and man, mercy can look very ugly to people. And that's that's the part I think where it don't want to be talked about, right? Or it don't want to be preached about because it's not appealing to anybody to say, "Hey, your life is going to be exposed. you're going to lose everything you got and you're going to be at your lowest place and you're going to be broken. People don't see that as mercy, but that's exactly the place that where God needs you to be to humble yourself to accept the gospel.

How do we know that? I mean, we've seen it with David. God broke him. He said again, seen that with Paul. Yeah. Yeah. What what conversion doesn't look like that? Psalm 32. This is again we don't know what situation was happening here but in Psalm 32 it might have been the sin with Basheba but he this is what David is saying. He says when I kept silent about my sin my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long for day and night your hand was heavy upon me. My vitality was drained away as with the heat of summer. I acknowledge my sin to you and my iniquity I did not cover up. I said, "I will confess my transgression to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin." Therefore, let every holy one pray to you at a time when you may be found. Surely, in a flood of great waters, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place. You guard me from trouble. You surround me with songs of deliverance. Sa I will give you insight and teach you in the way you should go. I will counse you with my eye upon you. Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding whose harness are a bit are bit and brittle to control them otherwise they will not come near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked but he who trust in Yahweh. Loving kindness shall surround him. Be glad in Yahweh and rejoice you righteous ones and shout for joy all who are upright in heart. Do you see the shift in uh uh David's tone here? Right? He's he starts off with with uh um distress and yet when he confesses his sin, the Lord lifts him up and he's he's fine with that, you know. And here and here and here's the thing, right? Uh take the log out of your own eye, right? It's it's a David in Psalm 51, he he does this very same thing. He confesses his sin to the Lord. He takes the log out of his own eye and then he goes, "Then I will be able to teach sinners your ways. Then I'll be able to share your word with sinners." Um, Brian, you can't do that right now. And and and and again, as in a pastoral role, you can't. You're disqualified. You've disqualified yourself from ministry.

I mean, you you look at the sermons on Sundays, on Wednesdays, you look at his life. In what way are you being a true good witness? It's hard to even say, "Hey, anything good is coming out of this." I mean, all your sermons are defending yourself and defending your past and defending your your present and it's there's no humility like none. And if there is a sense of humility, like we've seen a false version of his humility

When he went live talking about how his um AC units got broken into and stolen, what is the insinuation in his life? It's somebody that has been here. And this individual, you know, April 2nd was the day. Well, that's literally like you're throwing out a real accusation. And >> which we had nothing to do that. >> We had nothing to do with. >> I don't think Drew did that either. >> Absolutely. No, absolutely. And then uh Drew caught wind of that, right? And he confronted him with it. >> Um through a text message. All right. I think. Yeah. So he he tagged us in there. Um >> yeah, he he put us on a group chat. Um, so Drew and Brian mentions that we >> other day somebody messaged me and I know you're probably watching. I won't say your name and I never said your name because some of you now got my number messaging yang a bunch of baloney. The reason I have not responded on my phone is because I don't have to. But >> we won't get to that sermon yet. Okay. >> But Brian mentions that um we can talk about this part, but Brian mentions that um >> in his sermon last night that, you know, he got a text message and a nasty text message and these people are are ugly and saying foolish things >> and I'm being attacked >> and he's being attacked and it just hit him in a low place and now we got his number and all these things and it was me and it was Pedro and it was Drew on this text and all we did was call him to repentance. And and the reason why we bring that up is because of his false humility. >> Right? >> Um Drew ended up putting a post out recently that his wife was sick and that she needed they needed um financial help to pay the surgery bill and things like that. And and so um what Brian did is he posted on his public page, hey, we love this couple pretty much and we're going to we're going to give. I want to urge you to give. And then he gives $3,000 to the thing and then puts it up, talks about it on his service. But after he just got done pretty much bashing Drew and bashing everybody who's been saying things and saying speaking nasty uh nasty about people and and all these different things and then plays the humble card. >> And what is he doing this for? This is a false sense of humility. Like >> he wants a pat on his back. >> Yeah. He wants his and he wants the heat off of him. >> Yeah. Because he knew something was coming. And then this video comes out about Brian and all he's doing everything to throw water on the fire. But right now, Brian's in the hot seat. He is officially in the hot seat. And this is what the message says. You have that message? >> Yeah, I got it. Right. >> Um this is what um brother Pedro text Brian. Brian again, we love you and we do this out of love. It may not feel good, but until you repent, until you truly come to the end of yourself, we're we're not going to stop and we're not and this is not going to end here. Um, right. >> But go ahead. >> All right. So, this is what um I text him cuz he responded with uh of course after Drew sent his message and uh we'll I guess we'll we'll message that later. Um, what is it? Uh Brian responded with love you brother. I pray that all is well with Christina. So he he he sounds really humble in this message. >> Yeah. >> And so I responded with Brian, one thing he says is uh um God bless you and truth will always come forth. Uh every word you and I both know will have to give an account for God or before God. Let me let me read that again. He says this. God bless you and truth will always come forth. This is Brian talking. Every word you and I both know will hate will have to give an account for before God. And I responded to Brian and uh glad that I I was able that he would responded because I told him, "Hey, Brian, uh you're right about one thing. We will both give an account before God for every careless word, every false representation, and every handling of his holy word. Uh that reality should not comfort us in our sin. It should terrify us into honesty and repentance. Brother, I call you a brother if you are truly in Christ. Uh this is not loving gossip. Nor is it hatred to confront sin openly when it has been public and ongoing. Uh scripture commands shepherds to be above reproach, soberminded, self-controlled, dignified, truthful, and examples to the flock. 1 Timothy chapter 3, Titus 1. This is not about whether God forgives sinners. He absolutely does. This is about qualification for ministry. A man could be forgiven and still be disqualified from shepherding Christ Church. And what grieves me is not merely the allegations or the story surrounding your name, but your continual twisting and mishandling of scripture to protect yourself and preserve the platform. And this is what he's been doing. >> That whole time that is what he has been doing. >> And so I asked him because uh this is the double standard that Brian has. Uh, and I asked them, "Why is it so easy for you to bend God's word to fit your narrative? Why does humility appear in private conversations, but online the stories become exaggerated, self-protective, and polished?" And so, the reason I asked him that is because, again, he he's playing the humble card in this text message, but yet he goes on on his sermons and online, and he just straight up bashes us. >> Yeah. He acts like a big old tough guy and does, but then he's humble. He plays the humble card in a secret. >> When it should be the opposite. It should be both. >> It should be both. >> It should be both. >> Um, and then I asked them, why are there not one or two concerns, but many voices over the time over time raising similar warnings? Because again, it's not just Stephanie saying this. There's a few uh people that are saying this. Uh, scripture says, "Every matter shall be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses." And that doesn't automatically make every accusation true. But a wise and humble shepherd trembles before multiple people when multiple people over the years are saying the same things. Uh brother, stop hiding behind don't listen to the gossip because that's what he told us. Don't listen to the gossip while dismissing all correction. That's what he hides behind. He hides behind the don't don't listen to the gossip. >> It's just gossip. >> Yeah, it's just gossip. >> Don't listen to them. >> And the voice of correction. And he he actually commanded his church yesterday to shut everybody off, right? And we're going to get to that sermon. >> Yeah. Um and and I told him this is not repentance. He's deflecting. A godly pastor does not spend his energy preserving his image while the sheep are wounded and confused. He falls on his face before God when these accusations are coming. Like, hey, you know what? I I need I need to repent. I need I need the Lord. U you said truth always comes forth and I agree. And when it fully comes forth before the throne of Christ, all your charisma, all your emotional sermons, all your Facebook posts, all your influence and public sympathy will mean absolutely nothing. >> Nothing. Yeah. >> And so God is not mocked. He sees the hidden motives. He sees the private conversations, the inconsistencies, the exaggerations, and every misuse of his word. Uh there's no facade before him. And so this is why I'm pleading with you again. I'm pleading here with Brian. I'm I'm I'm pleading with him so that he can repent. I tell him, "Stop pretending everything is fine. Stop clinging to a title scripture no longer permits you to hold. Step away. Repent deeply. Seek restoration as a brother in Christ, not a celebrity pastor protecting a ministry." Right. >> And that's really what he it seems like he's doing. He wants his celebrity. >> He wants a status so bad. >> Yes. Um and that's not We need to We need to do better. you we need to we can't be preserving that. It's better to enter the kingdom humbled and broken. Like you just said a while ago, it is better to enter the kingdom humbled and broken than to stand before God, having spent years justifying yourself while misleading his people. Again, you don't want to enter the throne of Christ and be dismissed. And Christ tells you, "Depart from me. I never knew." >> Right. Yeah. No. >> Um >> this and and I told him, "Hey, this is not written because I hate you." It's written because ultimately we fear God. I fear God's word, man. Like I I'm under the scrutiny of scripture. He's under the scrutiny of scripture. Uh yeah, that that is scary. I I I have no ground to stand on on the on the last day on judgment day. >> What does it say? The the heaven and earth will disappear, >> right? >> There's nothing the imagery of this there's nothing for you to stand on. And because e even and then I tell them and because if even now you are hardened your heart against you harden your heart against correction against witnesses against scripture itself then you are proving more concern for your reputation than for your soul. >> Yeah. >> And that and that's basically the gist of it. And you can just post it like >> Yeah. Whatever. >> Yeah. Yeah. No, I'll put I'll put those up because again, th this episode is to bring about what has been going on with Brian there. Just to give a small recap, April 2nd is when Drew came out and um he made about a few videos, I would say around three videos and some posts talking about, you know, what are the markers of these type of individuals. >> And at first, he didn't even mention his name at all. >> He didn't mention his name at first. And yet Brian already knew who he was talking to. >> Yeah, Brian. Because of his videos, because of all his lives, he was like, "Oh, they're talking bad about me." And all this stuff. But the moment Drew made that post, a lot of people began to reach out to him from Extreme. And people have left Extreme because of this video or because of the post that that Drew has been making. And in no way did Drew bash Extreme, but he said, "These are the red flags." And he gave biblical examples of what it means to be an elder, what it means to be um in those positions, what the Bible qualifies and doesn't qualify, and and what we should be looking for, spiritual manipulation and fear and and exploitation of money and all these things that he knows firsthand that went down. This wasn't secondhand information. >> He saw it. >> He saw it himself. And you can simply watch a sermon, watch his offering, and get firsthand experience yourself. Yeah. >> I mean, it's not something far-fetched. He goes live with all this stuff. >> And I've said this before, right? He he says the same thing. >> I hardly ever do this. I hardly ever pick up an offering like this. And it's literally like almost every Sunday he does. >> And there's never ending projects. >> Yeah. >> There's neverending projects with Brian. There's always something to pick up a special offering for. Not just a regular, you know, hey, we're giving. It's a special offering. There's always something. Something went out or they need something or they need to send people here or they need to do this or they need a bigger building or they need to put up the billboard or they need to do open up a gym or they need to open up a restaurant or they need to open up a salon or they need to open up a barber shop or they need to open up a All of these things I'm not making up. All of these things are actually things that you're doing. So, I mean, the money it went to a food truck. I mean, I don't There's a food truck now. There's a mansion that was bought. >> Oh. Oh, man. And >> there's a coffee shop that was open. >> I mean, forget those other ones. >> There's a gym that was opened up, >> dude. >> But what about the mansion? >> Well, the mansion, what did Brian say? He's opening up this 13,000 square foot mansion to house battered women and uh sex trafficked women and children. >> And that God told him that's what the house is going to be for. >> And he has clips of him saying, "I can hear them crying. Why can't you?" In the spirit, he can hear all these people crying and saying all this weird stuff. And he said that God told him to buy that house. God told them to open up that home. God told them to get it ready. God told them to furnish the whole thing and to make sure these people are giving. You even did a video on it because they were picking up offerings for it. And one of your videos um in that video, Brian mentions, you know, 600 people here and the giving here is horrible, >> you know, and and kind of puts that pressure on the people and what is >> that's that's devouring the sheep, man. That's accusation toward the sheep. >> That is. And then what does he use the house for? >> Men. It's a men's home. And I thank God. Thank God for that >> that he did not use that for women because of all these allegations going on. >> Now all these allegations are coming up. Who who knows what could have happened. But uh but the thing is that he he's he's lying on God because he's saying God told him to do this and that it was going to be used for this. >> And I hate the copout, man. like, "Oh, God did tell me this, but the reason why it didn't come to pass is because, you know, there wasn't obedience or there wasn't um um in order for God's breakthrough to happen for you, you need to do A, B, and C." It's almost like if God needs help being God, >> right? And I hate that that that way of thinking because if God really told you these things, why didn't it take place? Why didn't it happen? I mean, I don't see no other prophecy in scripture being fulfilled that way. What God says is going to happen happens. >> Yeah. To the tea. >> To the tea. >> To the mark. You read Isaiah. You read Isaiah 9. You read Isaiah what? 53. >> Yeah. >> To the tea. And when was it written? About 700 years prior to Christ coming. >> Yeah. And then we got Genesis 3:15. >> Gen. Yeah, bro. >> About the seed pointed accuracy. >> Emanuel. He'll be named Emanuel. uh a child is born to a virgin. It's it's it's had to be God. There's no other way. >> It had to be God. Um but they're using and and you know, it's scary because you're using these things and these biblical prophecies and saying you can do these things. But unfortunately, Matthew 7 exists. >> Yeah. >> And I say unfortunately because it's not a it's not something to take lightly. On that day, many will say, "Lord, Lord, didn't I prophesy in your name? Didn't I do mighty miracles in your name? And and didn't I heal people in your name?" The Lord's going to look at them and say, "I never knew you." In other words, I never chose you. >> That's scary. And and you look at these the sermons or his services, >> what is he always emphasizing? Casting out devils, >> mighty signs and wonders, >> which never happened. Everything that is literally God is going to say to people in Matthew 7, everything he's literally emphasizing all those things. And it's like, dude, do you not see? And and it's funny because we're the ones that supposedly don't have the spirit of God. We're the ones that are dead Christians because we're not participating in this foolery. This is this is trickery he's doing, you know. But >> yeah, and these are false signs and wonders, right? Um we see a lot of uh these people do it and it's never a verified miracle. But it's crazy, man. And and they all have the same traits, same mentality. I mean, Mike Winger with Greg Lock right now. >> Oh, yeah. That's a That's crazy. That and that's exactly >> they're all part of the same camp, these these coverup culture situations, >> right? >> Um yeah, it's insane how this is all playing out. And ultimately, again, this is this is not you're not being attacked. This is God exposing. God is doing this. God will not be >> We didn't tell Stephanie to make this video. >> No, I didn't. >> We didn't We didn't tell anybody to do anything. >> Yeah. No, we didn't. >> We again, we didn't know I didn't know Drew when we first made videos about this church. I didn't know anybody really there. I was only at this church for about four months tops. I would say maybe not even that. >> Pedro knows him more than I do, but as far as all the new people there, we don't really know. and and and I was never as far as like part of the church. I would visit a church every once in a while. He was part of a ministry that I I would do. >> Um and it was mainly just it wasn't like uh like he he did something great for me or like man I really learned from this guy. Like I really I mean did I admire his preaching in the beginning? Yeah. I thought man he's bold you know he's he's he's he's loud like a lion you know like but but uh what is it? Um, when I started when God started working in my heart and looking at scripture and holding up scripture to a higher standard, that's when I recognized, man, what have I believed my whole life? You know, serious. >> So, uh, and it wasn't anything particularly Brian did. He I'm not church hurt or anything like that. Brian never did anything to me. The >> Yeah, you were never really a part of his church. >> Yeah. The Pentecostal movement didn't do anything to me. I just looked at scripture and I looked at the behavior and the patterns of these other people and I recognized, yeah, this is false. >> And if you and the the sucky thing is and the sad thing is is if you call out anything, you're somehow bitter. >> You're somehow church hurt. You're somehow, you know, um, jealous. You're somehow a hater. And this is all Brian paints us to be. >> There's nothing to hate on. There's nothing to be bitter about on a personal level. Uh there's nothing to for on our part. We didn't I mean I wasn't close to Brian. Um there there's nothing like that. It's all very been it's all been doctrally. And why why a lot of people might say then why choose Brian? There's other pastors to do this too. Why Brian? Well, one Brian makes the most noise and he's obvious and he he does like he filters through so many people, man. And it's ridiculous. His turnaround for people is like it's crazy. And so because of that, we wanted to just highlight someone local. And we were like, "Okay, well, who's locally that we know for sure that's preaching heresy? Well, let's start looking at their sermons. Let's start seeing what they're really teaching." And that was it. You know, we just >> Unfortunately, Brian was the >> Unfortunately, >> his sermons came across our feed. >> It came It kept coming out AC multiple multiple times. >> Yeah. And I guess I guess we're acquainted with people, so a lot of mutual friends and things like that. But nonetheless, it was the one that kept popping up. >> Again, we see it as coincidence, but again, this is all God's doing. It >> it is all God's doing, and God is sovereign. And and I pray that this really encourages a lot of you guys to feel confident to just leave. Feel confident to just um walk out. I I pray that the fear of God strikes you and you guys feel the weight of your sin and the weight of everything you guys are doing to protect Brian. Um, you guys need to protect the truth, not protect Brian specifically. Does Brian deserve protection? Of course, he needs to be hidden in Christ, >> you know. And we're not saying he but he can't be separate from the brothers in Christ if he is a brother. Yeah. >> He he needs to be he needs to come to the truth and say, "Hey, I did this. I am no longer qualified. I have messed up countless times. I've been involved in drugs and and all this exploitation. I've mishandled the word of God. I've I've had an affair. All these allegations and whatever the case may be. And just sit down and what is Brian saying? None of these things are true. None of these things are true. And that's the sad part because this is more than one person bringing these allegations. And since Stephanie came out, there's more and more and more and more and more people bringing their own allegations. People that are tied very close to Brian very since the very beginning. People that are still there close to him bringing more things out on their own. And I pray that they really leave, bro. >> I really I really do pray. But we'll end this episode here. >> Well, I mean, before we we end it, right? I mean there's I mean there's definitely a lot more things that we can say uh because we need to stop pretending that accountability uh is persecution. It's not >> Exactly. That's a that's a good point, bro. That's such a good point. >> Asking biblical questions is not an attack, guys. Um uh wanting transparency is not divisiveness. We're not trying to be divisive here. We just want transparency. Uh protecting the flock is not hatred. We're we're really protecting the flock here. We want the flock to be protected. The church belongs to Christ, not to any platform, any personality or any ministries that the church belongs to Christ. And at the same time, we definitely want to guard our own hearts, right? We we're not here to mock. Uh we're not here exaggerate >> or speculate beyond what is known. Uh we're not here to destroy someone personally. Uh Brian, we're not here to destroy you personally. Uh our desire should always be repentance. Uh that's really what we're calling you out for Brian for to repent truth, holiness, and the protection of God's people. If these allegations are false, then >> truth will expose that, >> right? >> Again, truth will expose that >> and anybody can do their own thing and suppress the truth as long as they want. >> Um >> the truth will ultimately prevail. >> Yeah. And so, and if they are true, Brian, if they are true, then repentance is is a biblical accountability that you must follow. Um, either way, the answer cannot be silence, right? Emotional manipulation. Um, or pretending everything is fine. There must be a response. Like, you have to respond. And, and if anyone's listening, do not build your faith on personalities or a person, >> right? >> Don't build your faith on them, right? Build your faith on Christ. Build your faith on God's word. Stand firm on God's word. Um men can fail. Men will fail. Platform platforms will collapse, >> right? >> But the word of God stands forever. The the issue here is not whether you uh uh what is it? You started well. The issue here is whether you finish well. >> Yeah. Faithful servants will finish well and again all this exposure like if my sin sin being exposed again it's mercy God's having mercy on you because rather if it's better to be exposed now repent of it believe the gospel and know that you're found secure in Christ rather than pretend this whole time pretend this whole time and hear those dreaded words on that day, depart from me, I never knew you. >> Yeah. >> So, we say all this uh carefully, right? Because we ourselves will stand before God and we'll give an account to God uh for every careless word. Um so, we want to speak truthfully, biblically, and >> and carefully. >> We say this with fear before the Lord. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> None of us are exempt from falling into these grievous sins either, you know. >> Exactly. No. Yeah. >> Yeah. We're not saying we're above these things. >> The moment I think to myself, "Oh, I would never do that. >> That's probably the day you fall." >> The outcome that your your downfall will be >> That's what the deceitfulness of sin does. It it it tells you there's sin and then there's the deceitfulness of sin. And deceitfulness of sin, it's when you convince yourself that you can no longer do those things or you're past those things or you're above those things or or man, I fall, but not like that, you know? And >> yeah, we we really got to be careful on that. I I >> know I'm capable. >> Yeah, >> I know I'm capable. >> We're all We all have great potential of violating the commands of God at the highest level. Not just in our mind, but also in deed. We have the we have the capability of murder, of false witness, of lust, of you name it, adultery. >> Yeah. Throwing God's name in vain and and we on the on the highest forms of it, right? Not just subtly doing these things, but blatantly doing these things and purpose purposefully. And uh so we're not saying that we're above these things, but nonetheless, we need to hold each other accountable. >> Yeah. And it definitely does bring fear to me. Like it's like, man, I think I see these things and I'm like, >> I know I know how may it never be. >> May it never be. And I know how how dreaded of a center sinner I can be. You know, it's like >> Mhm. >> I I think about this all the time because I'm like, man, um I can fall. And if it wasn't for the grace of God. >> Yeah. >> If it's not for his mercy, it's not for God >> really working in my heart where it's like, >> man, because I know I know my own foolish thoughts. I know my own thinking, man. I I I know the things that I say. And um and again, we have to maximize these little things, right? because uh that's where it starts. It really starts there. And >> yeah, discipline yourself >> and again the scrutiny of scripture. I think about that and it makes me feel so tiny, man. >> Yeah. And how do you come to a place where you're actually scrutinizing scrutinizing yourself like this and really examining yourself? I we we implore you guys open up the word of God daily. Don't skip out uh don't skip an opportunity to get with your family. Don't skip an opportunity to to be biblical about anything. Don't skip an opportunity to sit alone while you're scrolling and just say, "Man, I can be reading a passage right now. I can be praying right now. I can be doing these things right now." Don't miss these vital opportunities to really know God, spend time with God, be spiritually fed because that's how God chooses to to to grow us spiritually. He uses four simple means of grace, right? Devotion to prayer, devotion to the word of God, right? devotion to gathering, devotion, uh devotion to uh uh the Lord's table, and and by these simple means of grace, God chooses to grow us. >> He doesn't he doesn't grow us outside of these simple means of grace, not by all of this hyper myth uh mythological views and philosophies and all these different things and understanding all these things on a massively deep level. It's just these simple means of grace. Devote yourself to prayer, to the word of God. just >> and and definitely we we this is why we're using this time to point you back to Christ >> because again, yes, this these allegations are horrible. They're ugly. They some people are probably just watching the allegation part. Oh, what are these guys got to say about this? But we want to point you back to Christ. And I implore you and I and I and memorize this verse. Hebrews 4:13. >> Just just memorize this. I encourage you to just repeat this over and over. Even Jude 24. Uh ju repeat these things over and over. Just have them in the forefront of your mind. Uh uh meditate on them day and night. Like God told Joshua, meditate on these things day and night. I mean, you look at you look at this book of Joshua. Why did he have so so much success? It wasn't because of Joshua's strength. Because Joshua had something in him, the charisma. No, it was it was purely because God commanded him to meditate on these things day and night. And this is what Hebrews 4:13 says. And there is no creature hidden from his sight, but all things are uncovered and laid bare to the eyes of him to whom we have to give an account. >> Yeah. >> And this is a >> Oh, man. This is uh >> 4:13 and even going down to 16. >> Yeah. >> It's a sobering reminder. And this verse right here, this verse alone here, this is what makes me just want to curl up in a fetus position, man. I I just like look at this and I'm like, >> Everything's laid bare before him. >> Exactly. I'm like, >> And that's scary. >> Yeah. And that is scary because God doesn't just check, oh, let me see if he's really just behaving and sees the outer, but God just comes to judge the secret lives of men. >> Yes, >> That's scary, bro. >> Yeah. Standing before God, I have no defense. >> My only defense. >> Literally, it's >> is in Christ. >> That's it. >> And that's my only comfort, >> man. I was going over the catechism with with the kids today is um why does why does our redeemer need to be human yesterday and today? Why does our redeemer need to be God? Because he was fully man and fully God, right? Truly man and truly God. And man, it it it doesn't matter like like the who Christ is, it it needs to be emphasized so much because it literally took a God to satisfy the wrath of God, right? It it took it took a god to really crush his own son and to be pleased with it because nobody can really satisfy there there isn't there isn't 20 galaxies that can satisfy the wrath of God there there isn't mountains nothing could satisfy the wrath of God there isn't the the highest peaks the depths of the ocean nothing could satisfy the wrath of God so it took the very son of God the son to really absorb the blow for us and to satisfy that wrath. That's why it's so important to know who Christ really is and what he's actually accomplished for such wicked sinners. And now there's a mediator standing between us >> and who the anger of God. That's really what's happening. And if you are going to stand before the Lord that day and you don't have a mediator, you will absorb the full wrath of God. And that is It's an eternal punishment. >> Yeah. It doesn't sin against an eternal. >> It ain't for a day. It ain't for a night. It ain't for a moment. >> It's eternal, bro. And this is the weight that we should understand and feel. And who is Christ, right? Our christology needs to get higher and grow and grow and grow so you can have a deep appreciation for your savior and for your salvation. Right, man. Bro, like catechisms, bro. >> Yeah, man. No. And >> encourage you guys go to catechisms. This is really what um what should sober you up, you know? It's uh again, we're not here I mean, may my reputation perish. May my name perish, you know, like what George Whitfield says. >> I like that. Yeah. >> Um may Christ be glorified. That that's >> the name of Whitfield die. Right. >> Name let the name of Whitfield die and >> Christ's name in it forever. You know, it's a you know, a correction. I I just want to bring a funny funny moment here. Uh we we have a good brother in the Lord, uh Danny. Uh he he called out one of my errors in in one of these videos that we did. I think security. >> Shout out to Danny, bro. Uh >> shout out to Danny. >> He caught it, man. And uh >> that's our personal Spurgeon right there, bro. >> He's our personal Spurgeon, man. >> Brother pictures over here. >> Brother Danny, man. And he uh he asked a question. I forgot I said that. I'm like I went back and I looked at the video. I'm like, dude, why did I say that? What in the world? My mind was just somewhere else, dude. I'm like, man. Okay. Uh but uh yeah man the scrutiny of scripture man of scripture nobody nobody's exempt man that that that was really uh good >> um so if you go back to eternal security uh the first part >> perseverance of the saint >> perseverance of the saints yeah there we go which is >> your distinction >> I don't know what I was thinking to be honest with you bro I messed up >> and and it's okay right so >> and you didn't correct me didn't correct me >> I didn't even catch it I was kind of thrown back you caught me on off guard bro >> dude you put me on spot, bro. >> Anyway, no, that that's it's just praise God for these moments, right? Uh again, we're not all going to get it right. We're not we're not God, right? >> You know, uh >> and and some of these doctrines, right? They're they're they're so deep and and because we use like crazy amounts of terminology. We can intermingle a lot of things or try to separate them and all this stuff, but yeah, we're not God. We don't get it all the way right. And there is a lot to learn, man, while you're still breathing. Oh, man. There's so much to learn that you have access to. You guys can really learn about who God is, who the um God the Son is, the who what the Trinity actually is? Um the doctrine of eternal security, right? The doctrine of total depravity, um the doctrine of the will, right? Um the bondage of the will that Martin Luther wrote, right? Who has the real will in here? Is it us and God? Did Christ really die for our will to choose him? A lot of people think so. There's a lot of these rich doctrines and understandings and things that we can dismantle through the scriptures, but just read. Just really read and start to ask questions. Uh a good student, ask questions. So, just get to asking, you know, ask ask your pastors, ask your leaders, say, "Hey, I read this and I don't understand it fully. Can you help me take get a good grip on this passage?" And they should be excited that people are coming to them and asking them questions. >> Oh, yeah. Absolutely. And then will we have uh secondary and tertiary? Is that how you say it? >> Tertiuary. >> Something like that. >> Something like that. We have primary secondary. >> Secondary. >> Tertiary. >> Tertiuary. >> Something like that. >> Uh that means it's neither here nor there. You can do it if you want. >> Exactly. Yeah. So, uh will there be those? Yeah, absolutely. Uh what we can't defer on is in the primary. Um >> and that's a gospel. >> Exactly. The primary issues. We're not going to agree on eschatology. All right, man. Some of us have sounder views on it. >> Ah, all right. And then we're not going to agree >> on hermeneutics. >> Yeah, hermeneutics. Yeah, we're not going to agree on the >> um >> what is it? The head coverings and >> Yeah. No, >> all that stuff. There's there's there's different on baptism, secondary issue. >> Me and Pedro, right? I hold to covenant theology. He holds to uh dispensationalism, which is fine, but we are still brothers. And the church I go to doesn't hold to covenant theology. I go to Pedro's church, >> but we I can go there and gleam from this church and learn and guide my family and raise my kids to this church and get corrected in this church and grow in this church. Why? Because our primaries are held and bowed to the authority of scripture. All of these things and our ideas, they bow to the authority of scripture. And we have, man, we have some of the greatest teachers at our church, bro. >> Praise God, man. And it's uh and again, um what is it? Uh yeah, we we we won't agree on everything, but what what's happening there is Christ is being glorified. >> Exactly. Amen. >> People are being discipled. Uh >> which is the most important thing for a church. >> Yeah. >> Is discipleship, not events, not conferences. If all of those things were thrown out the window, you would need discipleship like legit, you know. >> Exactly. Yeah. That's And man, my first 10 years of being a young believer, man, I did not have any discipleship. >> Uh >> I bet you had a lot of conferences. >> Oh, there was a bunch of conferences. I was preaching at those conferences without any training. >> Without any discipleship, >> any discipleship or training, I wanted to say nugget after nugget after nugget and people were just clapping and clapping. Dude, that was really the what you were living for those moments, >> dude. Yeah, there's a buildup in Brian's church, Brian's sermon every time. There's like buildup after buildup after buildup. >> Those buildups are crazy. I'd probably run out of film in one service if I just grabbed the buildups. >> Bro, I And I don't know how his throat handles that, bro. That drum that drummer must be buff. >> Oh man. But yeah, I would have sore throat for weeks, bro. >> Dude, all they yelling, >> dude. I I teach first graders and >> man, and you know what, Brian, that zeal would be amazing with sound doctrine. >> Amen. Yeah, >> that zeal would be >> Get another vodie bakum. >> Get another vote right there, man. >> Hey, a little vodie bakum. >> A little vot. >> Not a little Rob Parson. >> Not a little Rob Parson, brother. A little vot. No, but that zeal, you know, don't lose the zeal, right? Don't lose the compassion. Don't lose the charisma, you know, but those things shouldn't be done while you're misled, right? Those things shouldn't be done while you're untrained really or you're undiscipled in the scriptures because that'll be misled charisma, right? You you'll be misplacing it in the wrong areas and then you might be zealous some for something so much that when that area you were charismatic about so much gets corrected, you might get fully offended and just really drop sound doctrine just because you were so charismatic about one thing your whole life. And really that's what's going on here. Um but yeah, don't lose the charisma. Just get it with sound doctrine right. Get the gospel right. Ask yourself out there. >> Um or answer this question if you're watching it. What is the gospel? >> Write it down >> in your words. Write down what is the gospel? And then line up your thing in scripture. Say, is my analysis of the gospel in found in scripture? >> That that that's so easy to do. And if you're wrong, then learn the gospel. Really grow in the gospel. I mean, it's written over and over and over. I mean, the Bible is highlighted through Christ, and it's for Christ. It's about Christ. It points to Christ. So, >> Exactly, man. But yeah, no, we didn't want to end this podcast without glorifying Christ. >> Amen, bro. >> Pointing back to the scriptures. >> Amen. >> Pointing back to who God is, >> how God can change filthy the filthiest of sinners. Again, what did Paul say in 1 Timothy 1:15? >> I am the chief of sinners. Of who? I am the foremost. >> Yeah. >> Right. Some uh something along those lines. Put it right here. >> Go ahead. Go ahead. >> Oh, man. All right. No, but yeah. No, that that's it's um we definitely want to be reminded that God can save even the most uh most what is it? Um nobody's a we can't cast out anybody, right? We can't dismiss anyone. God can save anyone he wants. Uh it's God's choice here. >> It is God's choice and it's only God's choice. >> Exactly. >> Um but yeah, with that being said, guys, we love you guys. We pray that you continue to examine the scriptures. We pray that you get begin to examine your own hearts through the scriptures and that you guys would >> uh test all things against the text. God bless guys. >> Against the text, you fall. Every proud stripped away. Nothing is hidden before his gaze. I'm small and light. He's great.
