Hitman 3 (100% mastery playthrough) - Day 214: Featured Contracts (Purple's Paradox)

Gentlemen, let's go over the plan. The first constant is none other than Janus, the legendary Cold War spy master. A KGB senior officer and head of the sixth column special branch at Lubiana. Janice is a certified genius and expert of counter intelligence. He retired from the KGB in 1988 when he fell out of favor with the Kremlin and defected to the US shortly after the Soviet Union collapsed.

Now, it is unclear when Janus stepped down as the constant, but since 2004, he has been a resident of a quiet community in suburban Vermont, Mr. Gray. Right. So, here's the catch. As an elite KGB agent, Janus was trained to withstand interrogation and torture. No amount of pressure will force him to disclose information he doesn't want to. Instead, we will need to search his home for clues. But if Providence learns of our presence, the game is up.

So, we frame Janus. Make Providence think he was the real Shadow Plan. Correct. I will file a false report claiming to have traced a number of calls from Janice's house to the Institute in Romania. The case will seem clear. Mr. Gray was only a figurehead. Janice was pulling the strings all along. And by eliminating him, we will have neutralized the militia once and for all.

However, for this subtifuuse to work, you'll also need to deal with Janus' security detail, a Providence Herald and former Secret Service agent by the name of Nolan Cassidy. Intel describes him as diligent and inquisitive, and we cannot risk that he contradicts our story to his employer. Seems workable. I certainly hope so. Everything depends on this next move. 47, you made this our fight. Now, let's even the playing field.

Hello and welcome to day 214 of my attempt to 100% everything in Hitman 3. Today we are starting at Bon Creek because there is new challenge here which I don't actually know how to do. Eliminate both targets in a single explosion. I was just talking before I um started talking right now during the briefing, which has been cut out for the YouTube recording. I don't know if there's a mission story that we can use to bring both targets together. If not, then maybe it's as simple as murdering everyone in the Cassidy Residence, knocking out Janice, dragging his body outside, and then maybe we needs to do the same thing at the party over the fence. I'm not sure. Anyway, we're going to do that first and then we're going to take a look at a set of featured contracts which went live uh a couple of days ago, I think. Purple's Paradox. There are 10 contracts here. I've not looked at the details other than the authors, but we'll see how far we get with that today. Purple did have a set of featured contracts laced last year around November, which I don't remember anything about. So, I'm going to take that to mean that it wasn't a bad set of contracts. Either way, that's the plans for today.

I need to bring along an explosive because we need to blow them up in the same explosion. It looks like it's happening in Janice's backyard. Although there's a third person there. That is Gwin Moola, isn't it? Don't know what to make of this. And if you're watching on Twitch, I believe the campaign is over now, unfortunately, which means you cannot get that anymore. But just in case, make sure your account is linked to your Twitch account because there will be drops in future. There's a fiber wire coming up and something else that I do not recall. And you'll be able to get those by watching me or someone better than me for a half an hour or an hour or whatever the requirements are. Anyway, how do we want to do this? I think I'll start here. Now that I've shown you that coin, I need to drop it. Let's bring along an explosive. Not of the proxy variety. We need a remote. I will bring a lockpick. Come on. No, not that. What am I doing? And I don't think Anomeic is terribly helpful here, so I might just go with this. Basically, my plan's going to be to go nuclear inside Janice's house, punch him in the face or strangle him from behind. Hopefully, it does not kill him because he's an old man. And then we need to do the same with Cassidy and somehow get the two close together. And I've just remembered that. Oh my god, what's going on with my analog stick? Let's make blow compressed air at the start of the stream. I've just remembered that there is an explosive down here. If we go into this corridor, it's not here in Freelancer. So, on normal mode, there is a remote explosive in here. Let's switch to Janice's bodyguard. Right there, it's in the form of a car bomb. Definitely use that for a featured contract or two. Need to take them out of the same explosion. So, Janice, we can just drag outside here to that shed. And then we need this guy to come over here. He will ingest food at the party, but best case, he's going to move into that toilet in the house directly ahead. So I don't know how we get him over here other than dragging him. Jinx cold war my master and the first providence and now he's unconscious on the floor. It feels like there's less people around here. Compared to Freelancer. Anyway, I might just be making that up. Maybe what I can do instead of attacking the party here is I can kill everyone over here. They work for Helen West after all. We can kill everyone over here. Kill everyone on the street and then drag him down. That way I would not disrupt the party. That seems like a better idea because the only person who can really disrupt me would be the runners outside. Also, I need to That one was noticed. I need to put that back up to 100%. So, unfortunately, I do own the Seven Deadly Sins DLC and all that I've got. What do I want? A lawsuit between Janice and a local resident. I don't purchase the DLC with respect to accessing the Elise of Target arcades after they've gone live for a month, but I've definitely played through them and 100% of those currently engaged in a civil lawsuit with another resident of Whittleton Creek. James Batty, the plaintiff, wants Janice to stop his annual landing of a helicopter near the local creek. Batty claims it interrupts the nesting birds and a species of frog that has been declared endangered. Must be a very important trip given his poor health. Let me try going in here. Want to see if the robe is enough to do this. I don't think it is. Although it is highlighted there. What level am I tofu? Uh very high. Not very good, but very high. What is that? All right. So, I guess there's an essential clue there which we're not going to get. Uh, it's well over 1k. Problem is, when you play freelancer a lot, it goes up. I think it's around 6,000 something. This one's got conditions attached to it which make it very difficult for me to actually just complete it quickly. Uh, that is not what I'm looking for. All right, the microfilm is in Janice's house. I've not looked at these other than just seeing who the contract creators were. There are some names that I recognize. Starting with Chonking, Street Guards Revenge. Rain, rain, rain. Nothing but rain. The street guards are sick of working in the cold and rain. Unfortunately, there are no job vaccines downstairs. It the warm facility. If there were to be a few accidents, though, maybe some positions would open up. Shrimp 82, thank you. We need to talk about your use of apostrophes. It's all good. I mean, no offense by what I just said there. We're taking out five facility guards as a street guard. We can start there, work our way down or potentially switch using someone outside. Maybe one of the two guarding the door, taking out five. So, let me start with this. I'll bring along the uh let's bring along the purple gun. That thing looks classy. And guessing into the facility, we can either do that by going through the aforementioned door, which needs a lockpick, or we going through the front entrance, which I don't really want to do. Let me go through the door with the lockpick. We'll just go with that to start with. I'll put myself on mute for a moment, and let's take a look. I love those little drones when they scoot around like that. All right. Hopefully that's better. Immediate improvement. So, who are we dealing with here? One outside in the corridor. You're easy. One of the two blocking this entrance here. You're tricky because you two never move. That means I'm going to need to maybe tran this guy and take you out. And we've got a bunch of NPCs beyond there. You're relatively easy if I can pull you inside there, but getting in there as a guard is going to be tricky. You're not too bad. We use the photocopy edge to take you out. And you're not too bad as well. I can pull you around the corner. The only one that's a bit tricky is this guy standing here. So, first dude is here. He is not a problem. Terrible shot. Yeah. The issue I've got here is that guard there is going to ruin everything. So maybe what I can do is hermetic him or trank him and then go for this guy. I do see that if I shoot them here, they're not going to upset the people beyond there. So horrible. If we go for you second, then we can come around, swing around to tier one security, take you out, make our way through there. I can shrank the analyst, knock her out. If there's someone else there, knock them out as well. Then I just need to make my way into this room. And we do that by going through here with a screwdriver. Okay, I think we're good.
