Trina’s encounter from Jesus

Radical Launch5:54

Transcription

The reason I think I had the encounter is I knew it. I had a call in ministry and I was looking for my husband. And I know my check out these guys in my hand, they're pretty nice, you know, he'd be cute. And you know, I'm not dead, you know. And and you know, when I would see guys in ministry, I'm like, I would be pretty cool, you know, having a husband like that, love and God and and and all of a sudden I'm in worship at Voices of Prophets in 2009 and I'm one at the stage and Jesus shows up right in front of me and he says, "Am I enough for you?" And he says it three times. And I am just weeping, I'm just a mess and I'm crying. He says, "Am I enough for you? Even if I have no one else for you, am I enough for you?" And I am just undone. I'm saying, "Yes, yes!" out of my desperate cry, like he is enough. And then he says, "When I have you where I want to, I will bring that spouse alongside of you that you and him will catapult each other into your destinies. He said, 'You have one, he has one, and together you have a destiny.'" And he started taking me on a journey after that. And he actually showed me who my husband was, probably about six months later. He gave me a vision of it, you know. And and I'm gonna meet him. Either he's in Tanzania or going to Tanzania. And he's got short, spiky blond hair, blue eyes, muscular, tan, a long jawline. And his name is Jeremy. And his spell J-E-R-A-M-Y. I know for a fact. And that's been since 2009.

So later, God showed me, he started showing me pastors and wives and and how the pastors' wives are so beaten up and got sheep bites. And and in anyways, showing me that the husbands aren't lifting up the wives to where they're called. They're supposed to be the dutiful wife and and to help lift up the pastor and and maybe help with the children's ministry and be they understand and protect him from the sheep and they get the sheep bites. And he's just showing me all kinds of different things. And he even showed me a testimony from Heidi Baker at the same time to kind of solidify what he was showing me. And he, she was in Brazil and she was across the table from a pastor's wife and she gave this powerful word about being an architect. And I don't remember the ins and outs of the word, but the gist of it is the husband didn't know the wife's dreams. And now she, as far as I know, at least she was back then, as far as I know, she is still the one who was drawing up the blueprints for the University of Mozambique, the size of Stanford. And her husband was carrying her briefcase. So I got her showing me then.

And I was asking him, like, "Where is this Jeremy?" You know. And he said, "If I gave you Jeremy before you're ready, your gifting would lift him up and and you would help him succeed in his destiny, but you would never fulfill, even though the destiny between you two, you would fulfill his destiny and you would never fulfill your own." Because your weakness is that you don't like confrontation. And if he wasn't lifting you up, you wouldn't tell him that he wasn't lifting you up. And you wouldn't confront him. And you would just be the dutiful wife trying to submit to your husband. And so he showed me that I, when I had my focus on him, he is preparing my husband for me and he's preparing me for my husband.

And in the midst of that, you know, he showed me all these young girls coming out of these high schools and college, wanting to jump into ministry. And the first thing the church thinks they need is a husband because you can't serve God without a husband. That's what the world teaches you. Well, you can, you can serve God without a husband. Maria Woodworth-Etter, Amy McPherson, you know, Katherine Coleman, there's so many others that have laid their lives down, they served God, you know. And some had husbands and some didn't. And and it's not even about that. It's, you know, some had their eyes taken off of God when they found their husbands, you know. Others didn't, you know. Some are running beside their husband in ministry, like Bill and Benny Johnson, you know. Some were running beside their husband like, you know, the the Banoofs, Winnie and Georgina Banoof. They have separate destinies. They have Georgina has one, Winnie has one, and together they have one. And I feel like they're like an example of how we can do it. It doesn't mean it is the only example. And he was showing me that these young girls are latching on to guys because they're Christians, but they're unequally yoked. And then they wonder why their marriages are not working or they're struggling and they're called in two different directions. It's because they didn't ask, they weren't necessarily asking God who was their husband, you know. They were listening more to the world and people were picking their husbands for them. And and that was just an example of what he was showing me where we keep getting, so we keep diving into, well, I need this, but no, we don't. You know, the church says we need to be covered by her husband. No, we need to be covered by God. And when we have our eyes on him, he's gonna elevate us and he's gonna launch us into the arms of the husband that he has for us. God bless you.
