Ryan: The other day, I saw a picture of this guy named William, who broke the world record for the most expensive Starbucks drink ever. It cost him $148.99. And it got me thinking: What is the most expensive drive-thru item I can possibly order? Well, today I'm holding a contest with all the drive-thrus in my city to see who wins the Bag Award. I made this trophy. It's... I worked hard on it. So here are the rules: 1. It has to be a single item. 2. I can't tell the employees what the current record is. 3. The item cannot have any vegetables on it, mostly because I'm scared of them. It has nothing to do with the challenge. And at the end of this video, I'm gonna try to beat William's world record. Let's go to the first drive-thru! I am actually very nervous. I don't know what their most expensive item is, but I did steal Mr. Beast's credit card for this video. I'll flash it for just a second. Okay? Because there's unlimited money on this card. Ready? Boom! Sorry, Mr. Beast! Oh, he's calling me.
MrBeast: Ryan, I...
Ryan: Hello?
MrBeast: Where the heck is my card?
Isabella: Hey, how's it going?
Ryan: Good.
Ryan: How are you?
Isabella: I'm doing well. Thanks for asking! What can I get started for you today?
Ryan: I'm having a little contest to see what drive-thru sells me the most expensive item. I'm curious what you'd be willing to make me.
Isabella: Give me one second! It was just one of those today?
Ryan: Yeah. Just... yeah.
Ryan: Whatever you...
Isabella: Yeah, alrighty.
Isabella: We'll see you up at the window. Okay?
Ryan: All right. Oh, boy. I have no idea what she just made me. I have no idea how much it's gonna cost. Will she win the Bag Award?
Ryan: Let's see!
Isabella: Hi!
Ryan: Howdy?
Isabella: Now, do you want a drink that's, like, actually good and you just want it expensive?
Ryan: This is the award that I made.
Isabella: But do you want it to be, like, drinkable or just, like, disgusting?
Ryan: I mean, it's just... I just want it to be pricey. If it's yummy, that's a bonus.
Isabella: Okay, so...
Ryan: If you guys win, I'll be back to give you the trophy. Yummy. What was your name? Isabella. Thanks so much! This is our first contestant of the video. Get a load of this. Get it, get it! Look at this! What even is that on top? The ingredient list is insane. A venti iced chai tea with vanilla cold foam, oat milk, 6 shots of who knows what, vanilla syrup, a scoop of vanilla bean powder, caramel drizzle, mocha drizzle and sprinkles of some sort. I don't know what those letters mean. Although the Bag Award can only go to the drive-thru with the most expensive item, there will be an honorable mention for which one tastes the best. With all that being said, here goes absolutely nothing. That's actually pretty good. That's gas. My friends, we've got ourselves a leader. A Starbucks drink that costs $19.70. It's also the only one that's participated so far. So let's move on to the next one!
Taco Bell drive-thru is poppin' right now. Lunchtime on a Friday? Of course it is. Taco Bell might be a sleeper. Their menu isn't that pricey. It's pretty affordable. However, you throw in some add-ons and things might get a little crazy.
Michael: Alright, what can I do for you today?
Ryan: Can I get the most expensive item on the menu?
Michael: I wouldn't know what that would be by heart. I think it would be the steak power bowl.
Ryan: Okay, yeah. I've got a trophy for the winner, so you gotta bring it home to Taco Bell.
Michael: Oh, yeah.
Michael: Absolutely.
Ryan: Let's go! I've got a $20 bill with Taco Bell written all over it.
Michael: Oh, I'll take that.
Ryan: I really do.
Michael: Go ahead and pull up, and I'll see what I can do for you.
Ryan: All right. Thanks! That man sounded competitive. I'm gonna spend as much money on this credit card before MrBeast's legal team finds me. It's not easy being a businessman. Couldn't find my collared shirt. It's just a tank top.
Michael: Hey, how's it going, man?
Ryan: Yo! What's up?
Michael: All right, it's gonna be...
Ryan: Oh! Here we go. Dude, check out this trophy I made!
Michael: Man, that's a pretty...
Ryan: It's the Bag Award.
Michael: You know, I think that's a pretty cool trophy.
Ryan: Cheers! I'm nervous.
Ryan: What was your name?
Michael: Uh, Michael.
Ryan: Michael. I appreciate you, bro.
Ryan: All right, take care!
Michael: You too!
Ryan: Guys. Michael at Taco Bell is a legend. We've got a new record thanks to the Nachos BellGrande. Add chicken, add steak, add fries, add seasoned rice and a bunch of other stuff that I probably don't like. He put no tomatoes, though. I appreciate that. I'm scared of vegetables. Here we go. Oh, my gosh! It's so heavy. There it is. Look at that! Oh, my gosh! It literally smells like it cost $20. There are so many ingredients in this bowl. My chip can't even support the weight. Mhm! This one tastes even better than Starbucks. My friends, we have ourselves a new bag of word leader. Taco Bell $20.02. You guys... you guys are the best. I love the sound effect. The sound effect... it's like the best sound effect ever. When I was growing up, McDonald's was known for their dollar menu. That's why you go. You go to McDonald's because you can get stuff for a dollar. It was really fun. It was actually a really great time until inflation. I don't know anything about economics. The dollar menu, I mean, it's not a dollar menu anymore. Let's be honest! It's like multiple dollars. They just have things that are more than a dollar on it, which is genius. Regardless, it's gonna take a miracle to beat Taco Bell. But I have faith. So I'm having a competition. I'm trying to see which drive-thru can make me the most expensive item.
McDonald's worker: I can just add a bunch of bacon and patties on the double quarter.
Ryan: That'd be... yeah, that's perfect. And just no veggies as well.
Ryan: Gotta bring the dub home to McDonald's.
McDonald's worker: First window, please, sir!
McDonald's worker: Take care!
Ryan: Perfect, thanks! I'm taking these glasses off, I feel obnoxious.
McDonald's worker: Sorry! I wish it could have been bigger, but...
Ryan: Oh, no, that's fine.
Ryan: How much?
McDonald's worker: That'll be...
Ryan: Bro, this is crazy. Hey, cheers! Thank you, brother! They told me to come park. I think this is gonna take a while for them to make in the kitchen.
Ryan: Hey, cheers!
McDonald's worker: Have a good one!
Ryan: Thanks, man! Uh, so McDonald's just went off. They just... I did not expect McDonald's to go this crazy. In this bag, this extremely heavy bag, here's what we have. It's a double Quarter Pounder with cheese, two extra beef patties. And then add two 3 half strips of bacon, which is really confusing me as to how much total bacon that is. And lastly, three 2 full strips of bacon. That does not make sense either. I'm gonna reveal the price shortly, but first we need to eat this. It's literally so heavy. Oh, I feel like I'm doing something illegal. I might be. Are you guys ready for this? Oh, my gosh! Oh, my actual goodness! Look at the size of this burger! This is concerning at best. There's 4 patties on here. And the amount of bacon that is absolutely overflowing out of this burger is concerning as well. Here goes nothing. Oh, gosh! There's people watching me. Mhm! This is so greasy. Oh, my goodness! There's bacon inside of the patties as well as eight strips fully of bacon on top. McDonald's created this burger on their own accord and the total cost is: $21.24. We got a new bag holder. McDonald's $21.24 for a single item. Mhm! On to the next drive-through. Let's see what you got, Miss Wendy! Oh, gosh! This drive-through always scares me with the...
Ryan: It looks like a...
Wendy's worker: Thank you for choosing Wendy's! How may I help you?
Ryan: I'm having a little competition. I'm trying to see which drive-through will sell me the most expensive item.
Wendy's worker: It just has to be one item? Or we can add and do whatever?
Ryan: Yeah, it has to be a single item, but you can add whatever add-ons you want. And there can't be any vegetables, just because I'm scared of veggies. That's just a personal thing.
Wendy's worker: So no vegetables?
Ryan: No veggies. Yeah.
Wendy's worker: Anything else?
Ryan: That's gonna be it.
Wendy's worker: Okay.
Ryan: Thank you! I'm convinced someone shot this drive-through screen. I'm convinced. Are you there?
Wendy's worker: Yes.
Ryan: Oh, sorry! I'm so excited to see what you make. Bug flew in my mouth.
Wendy's worker: Okay, your total will be...
Ryan: Thank you! Your boy dozed off. Holy smokes! How long was I there? Hey! How's it going? Good. Awesome. Cheers! What could this item actually be? I don't know what I'm gonna do if it's another burger. Bro, the yellow police are behind me. What the heck? Oh, thank you, man! You guys are so fun. Take care! Holy smokes! This is so heavy. This is the heaviest bag yet. We'll put it that way. I'm about to show you something. It might actually send you into shock. Wendy's just sold me this. They banned the cube in 2011. This is beyond the cube. This is the rectangle. It's a tower. I have no idea what this is, because they didn't give me a receipt. The cost is gonna blow your mind. All right? This actually feels like a surgical procedure. Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! What have I done? Guys, I think this competition has created a monster. There are one, two, three, four, five patties. There's bacon in between every single one of them. And who knows what else is on this burger. Looks like a premium bun. All right, let's see if this sends my body into some sort of shock! I'm doing this for the inaugural Bag Award. All right? Oh! It's spicy. Oh! Whoa! Oh! Bro, what is that sauce? I think the craziest part about this whole order is they didn't give me any napkins. Didn't give me any napkins at all. I'm gonna find a way to eat more of this. I think it's time for the price reveal. Are you ready for this? You're not. Don't say yes! $25.14. We've got a new bag holder, and she's got ponytails.
Sonic's menu is pretty crazy. There's, like, a lot of stuff on here. I mean, after Wendy's, the bar is set very high, so we'll see. We'll see what they give me. But Sonic's fun. I think Sonic's known to be fun.
Andre: This is Sonic. My name is Andre. May I take your order?
Ryan: Hey, Andre! How's it going?
Yes, sir. Basically, my friend wants me to get him the most expensive thing on the menu.
Ryan: That's what he said.
Andre: Okay.
Ryan: He's a crazy guy. No veggies though.
Andre: Crispy chicken sandwich?
Ryan: Fire! That sounds great.
Ryan: With no veggies.
Andre: Just the sandwich?
Ryan: Yep. That'll do. You guys, I don't know if Sonic understood the assignment. We got a crispy chicken sandwich for $6.48. That might be grounds for a disqualification. That would be the case, but I really like the way she said crispy.
Sonic's worker: Crispy?
Ryan: Yes. Cheers, you too! Bye-bye! I'm not even getting out of the car. But I will say this is the one I've been most excited to eat so far. We're still in the running for honorable mention. This is so hot. Oh, ho ho! Maybe Sonic will end up winning after all the medical bills. My fingertips feel burned. Bottoms up! Now that I've eaten that sandwich, I can say the bag holder is still Wendy's. I mean, that's a bag. Even though Sonic fell short, and we're talking about single digits here, $6.48. I have a lot of faith in this next one. The line at In-N-Out is always huge. This line is massive. There's... there's so many people here. It wraps around this way, too. That must mean it's fire. The Bag Award is still in my passenger seat. I actually have a lot of faith in In-N-Out. I feel like they're just fun. I feel like the employees are always so good. The service is incredible, and I just... I believe in them. I think they're gonna... They're gonna come through for me. I'll see you guys in about 3 hours, when it's my turn to order. Nah, it's not gonna be that long.
Ryan: It might.
IN-N-OUT worker: Hi, how are you?
Ryan: Hey, how's it going?
IN-N-OUT worker: Good. What can I do for you?
Ryan: I've got a fun challenge for you.
Ryan: All right?
IN-N-OUT worker: Oh, dear!
Ryan: I'm trying to get a fast-food place to give me the most expensive item. So I'm doing, like, a competition with all the fast-food places.
IN-N-OUT worker: I'm confused. Okay, so like a 4x4?
Ryan: Yep. That'll do it. All right, they're giving me their most expensive item.
Ryan: We'll see.
IN-N-OUT worker: Hi! How are you?
Ryan: Good. How's it going?
IN-N-OUT worker: I'm doing well, thank you! I had a 4x4 with spread on it.
Ryan: That's right.
IN-N-OUT worker: Alright, that'll be...
Ryan: Okay.
IN-N-OUT worker: Thank you!
Ryan: Life is a beach. I'm just playing in the sand. I don't know what this item is, but I'm not sure my intestines can handle another massive burger. So let's see what it is! Oh, cheers! Massive burger. That is crazy. Let's go eat this bad boy! You know what's crazy? I woke up this morning and literally thought to myself, it looks like a great day to eat 18lbs of ground beef. We've got another massive burger. The 4x4 is what they call it. My goodness! Wow! It is actually really good. The only problem with this burger is that it was under $10. The bag holder remains Wendy and all of her glory. The Bag Award might be in the bag. Let's move on! Goodness, I look like a mess. Nah! We are at Chick-fil-A. I'm really nervous for this one because I am ordering face to face, and I'm gonna have to ask for the most expensive item they can possibly dream up. I know their slogan is "My pleasure". Today is "My goodness". Yeah! It's a surprising request, I think is what I'm. So I've got a crazy request. I'm going around to different fast-food restaurants to see who could sell me the most expensive... expensive item.
Mel: Okay.
Ryan: Like you make me like a 5 stacker chicken sandwich or something?
Mel: I can see. I can go ask my manager.
Ryan: Okay. Cheers! Thanks, Mel! We got a manager on the job. This is the first restaurant where they went to go ask their manager how crazy they can make it. Hey! Sorry! I'm doing a little competition with fast-food restaurants. Basically trying to see which one will sell me the most expensive single item.
Manager: Oh, okay!
Ryan: I want Chick-fil-A to... to win, to be honest. You guys are the best.
Manager: Alrighty. So actually, so do this one by itself. Add everything you can.
Ryan: Oh!
Mel: Okay. Thank you so much!
Dang, you're tapping away over there.
Mel: I know, I was like...
Ryan: Okay, let's do it! That's crazy. I can't wait to see what this is. Awesome. Thanks, Mel! Take care! See ya! I cannot explain how long that order took for her to just type in. I actually felt kind of awkward just sitting there for that long. Awesome. Cheers! Thank you! Bye, guys! Thanks, Mel! Peace! Emergency meeting. When I tell you my jaw is on the floor... When I tell you I am hiding in the parking lot because I don't, I don't think... Oh, gosh! I... when I'm about to show you is not gonna be... It's not gonna be easy. Can I read you the ingredient list? We might have a rule break here. Okay? So we'll have to address that. But just listen to this! One club sandwich. 6 extra lettuces, 9 extra tomatoes, 8 extra American cheeses, 7 extra Cheddar Jack cheeses, 4 extra bacons, butter. 6 extra pimento cheeses and 2 pickles. My friends, I present to you whatever the heck this is. Whatever that... Dude! Look how many cheeses! That's all cheese. Now, I didn't want vegetables. That was kind of one of my rules, so we might have a disqualification. I'm thinking about it. There's a single grilled chicken patty at the bottom of this. At a certain point, you can't even call it a sandwich. That's my thing. Let's be honest! How do I even eat this, huh? How do I even eat this thing? My mouth is literally not big enough to eat this. I'm giving this to my dad's chocolate lab for dinner. Dot, if you're watching this, get ready! The main point is: this sandwich costs $26.03. We got a new winner. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Back it up! I had a rule. No veggies. Look at that! There's green, there's tomatoes. The rules have been broken. We've got a few restaurants to go, but there's been only one fast-food joint that has operated with integrity and charged me a ton of money. Wendy's. Still on the throne. Wendy's is winning. Let's carry on! I'm losing daylight. We have arrived at my all-time favorite fast-food joint. If you're from Texas, if you're from the South, you get me. Going into this one after a disqualification, I don't know. I'm a little cynical, but I'm also hopeful. And I am also ready to order.
Whataburger worker: Thank you for choosing Whataburger! Can I get a name for the order, please?
Ryan: Hey, my name is Ryan.
Whataburger worker: What can I get for you?
Ryan: I just want, like, the most expensive item on the menu you could possibly dream up.
Whataburger worker: Okay.
Ryan: I'm having a competition with the other fast-food joints, and right now Wendy's is winning. I believe in you.
Whataburger worker: Okay. Is... okay?
Ryan: Perfect.
Ryan: Let's do it!
Whataburger worker: Really?
Whataburger worker: Okay.
Ryan: You went crazy. I gotta put my glasses on for this one. When she was reciting what she put on that sandwich, I think my heart rate got up to 200. MrBeast's credit card company is furious. There's a little bit of shame every time I pull up to the window to receive what I ordered. But also there's a sense of camaraderie because they're the ones who made it for me. It was their imagination. That's the crazy thing about it.
Ryan: I'm taking these off. I feel silly.
Whataburger worker 2: Did you read it back to him?
Ryan: She did.
Whataburger worker 2: That's gonna be...
Ryan: Dang, dude. Let's go! I am terrified to see what this sandwich looks like. There's 4 chicken strips on it. Dude, they are dying laughing in there. That is so funny. Cheers, brother!
Whataburger worker 2: You got it?
Ryan: Yeah, I got it. Holy smokes! Guys, what's better than this? Nothing like spending a Friday night alone with a big bag of 1 Patty Melt, chicken gravy, extra honey BBQ sauce, ranch dipping sauce, extra honey mustard, extra honey butter dip, extra buffalo sauce, extra jala-ranch sauce, extra creamy pepper dip. Extra whatasauce dip, extra sweet & spicy sauce. Plain, 3 bacon slices. Large meat patties. Large cheese slice, large cheese slice, large cheese slice, large meat patty. Extra chicken strip, extra chicken strip, extra chicken strip, extra chicken strip. I am terrified. Are there 4 chicken strips on this sandwich? I mean, it looks huge. It is huge. There's no doubt about it. I think my perspective has been a little bit skewed by my day today, but this is the biggest sandwich imaginable. All right, here goes nothing. Okay I'm gonna open it. Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! What have I gotten myself? This is absurd. Are you guys seeing the size of this sandwich? This is not normal. There's 4 chicken strips on it. Here we go, guys. Bro. I feel like Willem Dafoe from that one gif. Oh, my gosh! Oh! All right, please don't judge me! But I actually think this is the best-tasting sandwich so far. I actually look like an extra in The Walking Dead right now. I gotta get out of here, guys. We have a new leader. The current bag holder is no longer Wendy's. It is Whataburger.
Jack worker: Hello, sir! Can I help you?
Ryan: Hey! How are you doing?
Ryan: Hello?
Jack worker: Hello?
Ryan: Hey! How's it going?
Jack worker: Good.
Ryan: Awesome. Can I get the most expensive item on the menu? I got my friend's credit card, so I'm just gonna blow. Blow some money, you know?
Jack worker: Say it again, please!
Ryan: I said you can just, like, put as many add-ons as you want to make it really expensive. Because I got my friend Jimmy's credit card.
Jack worker: Okay, sir. Are you coming to a window, please?
Ryan: Yeah, I'll come to the window. Sorry about that! We've got another face-to-face conversation to have. I've got a lot to explain. I'm just doing this thing. I'm trying to get the most expensive drive-through item in the world. I got my friend Jimmy's credit card, and he told me, go get the... Awesome. I'm losing daylight. The sun is setting. I'm excited to see what Jack In The Box cooks up. Aha! You guys aren't gonna like this. Awesome. Thanks, bro! Yo, I didn't know what to say. Uh... okay. Okay. Calm down, calm down. I know, I know. It's crazy. They just let you add whatever sound effect you want to... to the videos. This is a Buttery Jack. Before I tell you how much it costs, let's try it! All day, all night. Valid. As you can see, there are just so many things that didn't go right with Jack In The Box. For one, my brother confirmed with me. No veggies. We got veggies and that's okay. Bon appetit! Cheers! It's actually really good. Is that a sauce? A special sauce? That looks like a special sauce. Breaking news. Lettuce is not that bad. I just ate lettuce. I just ate lettuce. The last thing I'll say about Jack In The Box: this cost $7.89, which on a normal day, I would be upset about because that's... that's kind of expensive for a single sandwich. But today it's not my money. No, but seriously, I think there was a pretty big misunderstanding there about the goal. That's why we've got one award and one award only. We have only one restaurant to go, and it's the only one that I think can actually take down our leader. What is it, you ask? In case you guys didn't know, fish is back. For some reason. I have a deep love for Arby's because honestly, it's just insane that this whole establishment is rooted in roast beef. That's crazy to me. If anyone's gonna... Hey! Long story short, I'm having a little competition. This is actually the end of the day. I'm trying to get the most expensive drive-thru item possible from a fast-food joint.
Arby's worker: Um, yes. It's the meat mountain.
Ryan: Okay.
Ryan: Thank you so much!
Arby's worker: You're welcome.
Ryan: The craziest thing about this whole video is: my New Year's resolution was to not eat. It was to not eat any fast food. Awesome. Cheers! Thank you, guys! This, my friends, the meat mountain. How's that for a view? I love Arby's. I've actually had this sandwich before, which I'm not proud to say. Or maybe I am. At this point, I don't care. Wow, that is not normal. Look, guys, I love Arby's. I do, but this did not even come close to our Bag Award winner. Wow, guys! It's actually really emotional right now. I'm about to give the first annual Bag Award to Whataburger. The staff in that building right there sold me the most expensive item out of any drive-thru ever in the world. Without further ado, I mean, what? Let's do it! $28.73. Howdy? I'm gonna wait. It spins. You guys won. I gotta give you your award. I went all around town. You're the one who made it. You made it. Oh! Let's go! So, yeah. You guys won the first annual Bag Award.
Ryan: Congrats!
Whataburger worker: Thank you! Look! It spins. Alandra! Yay! Woo! Click here to watch another video! YouTube thinks you'll really like this one. This one could be a really fun time for you to enjoy with your day. Just tap it! Tap the little... Tap the thumbnail! Yeah.
