7 Players Who Could Genuinely Break Fantasy Football This Year

There are seven players who are currently going way too cheap in fantasy drafts right now, even though they could genuinely break fantasy football this year.

Now, if you're not familiar, I'm Sal Vetri. I've helped over 10,000 people win their fantasy leagues the last few years alone, and I plan to do the same for you with this video.

Now, let's start with what I would say is maybe the easiest buy low in all of fantasy football as it stands today, and that is Ladd McConkey. Now, let's just point out that it doesn't mean because he's a buy low that he's like a 10th round pick. Obviously, it's not the case. This isn't his rookie year. He's still going to go in round four or round five, but compared to last year when he was a second round pick, I think this is a buy low opportunity in a bounce back spot.

And apologies in advance for my voice. It's a little bit scratchy, getting over an illness, sore throat, all that. Anyways, let's battle through it here. You could see last year Ladd McConkey, this is his fantasy points per game in his two years in the NFL. Obviously, the rookie year with 15 points per game is way better than last year with 11 points per game, especially when you consider that in his rookie year, he was like an eighth to 10th round pick in fantasy drafts, and last year in almost every single draft, he was a second round pick. If you were lucky enough, he fell into the third round for you. So, when he busted, it didn't hurt your lineup as badly as if he was a second round pick, but for most people, it did.

Now, there are plenty of reasons why Ladd McConkey did not play well last year. Um, there's a lot of things, right? He ended up having 6.7 targets per game. Justin Herbert was banged up at times. Keenan Allen came into the offense and saw a larger role than expected. Quentin Johnston, at least the first half of the year, was starting to break out. But when you look at it all together, there was actually a stretch last year, if you look at games five through 10, so these six games when Justin Herbert was actually healthy and Ladd McConkey started to get rolling, where he was fantastic. If you had him on your fantasy team, you loved it. He was getting you 17 and a half fantasy points per game, nine targets per game, 76 yards per game. This was the second round pick Ladd McConkey you were getting. But then unfortunately, he was dealing with some bumps and bruises. He played through them, but he wasn't 100%. Uh, you had Justin Herbert dealing with injury as well. And then from the end of the season, week six on, it wasn't good. With a not healthy Justin Herbert, a banged up Ladd McConkey from weeks 11 on for the rest of the season, just seven fantasy points per game. His production cuts more than in half compared to the previous sample we showed you from weeks 5 through 10. So, all of this is not good, right? He was fighting through just different things during that time. He had a hip, a shoulder, a knee, a toe, similar things that were lingering back in 2024, pop back up in 2025. He played through them, but once again, he was playing limited and injured. Obviously, a fall from from grace from the rookie year production when he had 82 catches, almost 1,200 receiving yards. There was no Keenan Allen in the fold. There was no Oronde Gadsden, the rookie tight end from last year who broke out in the fold. There was no stronger running game under Jim Harbaugh. Whether it was Kamani Vidal, or Marian Hampton, depending on who was healthy, right? There's a lot of other factors in this Chargers offense that they could lean on other than just Ladd McConkey like they did basically the all of 2024 season.

But, the good news for Ladd McConkey entering this year is a lot has changed. First off, his health and Justin Herbert's health as of right now should be good for week one. So, that's good. There's no like lingering or like catastrophic surgeries that they're coming back from. The other piece here, if you could see here on the team changes page, this tool is a part of the fantasy blueprint. You could check it out at jointheblueprint.com. Thousands of other people currently have access, but you can see right here, Keenan Allen was a subtraction this off season. As of this recording, he's not signed. There's a chance maybe they do resign him, although it does seem very unlikely. So, Keenan Allen was gone. They did not replace him at all in free agency with any key wide receivers. They brought in David Njoku, they brought in Ke'Shawn Vaughn, Mitchell, a running back, but no wide receivers. In the draft, they get a speedster Brenden Thompson in the fourth round. None of these guys are going to be serious competition though for Ladd McConkey. And that's important because Keenan Allen last year on this team was heavily involved. If you scroll down, he played all 17 games. He saw a 27% target rate, top 10 in the NFL, believe it or not. A 23% target share, and he had 122 targets, over seven targets per game. There was nobody in the offense in 2024, Ladd McConkey's rookie year, that was soaking up seven plus targets per game week in and week out with the veteran savviness like a Keenan Allen. So, in my opinion, him being gone is massive. And as you could see from Kyle MFF on Twitter, be sure to follow me, says Ladd McConkey working out of the shorter route tree on quick throws in open space could be a PPR cheat code this year, especially true if McConkey absorbs the targets Keenan Allen earned last season. He's definitely going to absorb some of them. Is he going to absorb all 122? Of course not. Will he maybe see like a bump up of a 2 to 4 to maybe even 5% target share? Yes, and that's enough for him in round 4 to 5 to be an absolute dynamite play because he has the ability to see a 30% target share in the fifth round of fantasy drafts.

You then factor in that there is a new offensive coordinator here, in my opinion the best offensive coordinator on the market this past year in Mike McDaniel other than Clint Kubiak who really wasn't on the market until after the Super Bowl and that was already locked up with the Raiders. So we kind of take him out of it. Mike McDaniel, he ends up going to the Chargers. We know he wants to be a run-first coach. We know the Chargers want to be a run-first organization based on all their off-season moves, bringing in Charlie Kohler, a blocking tight end, running back, some other offensive lineman. It's Jim Harbaugh, it's Mike McDaniel. We kind of know what the vision is going to be here. But even in an offense that was supposed to like lean on the run in Miami his first year there in 2023, if you go back a couple of years, the first year that it starts to take off, Miami led the NFL in total yards, right? This is factoring in both your rushing and passing. 401 401 total yards per game. This was a season where we saw Tua Tagovailoa lead the NFL in passing yards, right? We saw Tyreek Hill break out, Jaylen Waddle had a great season, the running backs are doing their thing. I'm not going to say it's rinse and repeat for what this current Chargers offense is, but this is a Chargers offense that is getting younger. No Keenan Allen, Najee Harris is gone, right? You're replacing those guys with Amari on Hampton, you're replacing those guys with rookies in this offense, Ladd McConkey taking on a bigger role. You have a Justin Herbert, a freak of a quarterback in my opinion who is much better quarterback situation than what Mike McDaniel had in Miami with Tua even in Tua's peak years, right? Justin Herbert is still the far more superior thrower of the football, far more superior talent, can do a lot more for you. So you pair all these things together, you have some adults in the room from a coaching standpoint, creative creative standpoint as well with those same exact coaches. So yeah, I think that this is a overall situation that the entire Chargers offense is going to rise up. And if that's the case, your number one wide receiver is probably going to rise up as well.

When we look at that target competition, this is the depth charts via ESPN as of right now. You can see the The wide receivers Ladd McConkey, Quinton Johnston, and Trey Harris. Very similar to what it was the last couple of years here for the Chargers, and now you're basically just dropping out Keenan Allen, and you're like replacing as of this recording Keenan Allen with like a Keondre Lambert-Smith, right? Brandin Thompson and Darius Davis are kind of overlapping wide receivers for like downfield burners. I don't really see them seeing a a 30 to 40 route roll or snap roll in an offense as opposed to just a couple of plays here and there. So, like possession receivers, it's really just Ladd McConkey. Maybe Trey Harris can develop into that. If so, that'd be great for this offense, but I don't see it right now. Ladd McConkey to me, where he currently goes, like I said, 44th overall. This is a fourth to fifth-round pick in fantasy drafts. It reminds me a lot, totally different players, but it reminds me a lot of last year George Pickens. Uh George Pickens was going in this very similar range of the draft. Obviously, had a lot of pros to his profile, some downs to his profile. Um not the same situation. McConkey still on the same team. He doesn't really have another wide receiver he's competing with like Pickens had last year. But, in terms of the range of the draft that they go in, the year before not having like a standout season, I think that Ladd McConkey in round four to round five uh could be the the steal of fantasy drafts this year in this range.

Next up, let's go now to a second-round pick in Nico Collins, who sometimes goes in the third round. He's often taken in like early best-ball drafts in fantasy ADPs as like the last pick in the second round, and I think there's a lot of value there. Because this is a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans last year, who ranked top 10 in receiving yards uh in the NFL, right? He had over 1,100 receiving yards, 71 catches. He was able to go out there and put up yet again another very impressive season uh for fantasy football. If we pull it up, he was top 10 for the third straight season in fantasy points per game. Despite never having more than eight touchdowns in any of those seasons, just six touchdowns last year. And he was able to put up 15 fantasy points per game when healthy, despite playing with a quarterback in C.J. Stroud, who at times people were saying, "Is this even the quarterback of the future? Is this the guy we could even trust in 2026?" Obviously, they are trusting him very much so, uh and they want to see what he still has. But, C.J. Stroud, yeah, last year was not great, right? Career-low just 3,000 passing yards. Did deal with some injuries. The overall efficiency, the interceptions, the turnover-worthy plays, the catchable targets, a lot of those things went down for C.J. Stroud. And because of that, they also went down for Nico Collins, but he still was able to find success. And that's just because this guy is an alien. Like literally in the worst-case situation possible last year, his quarterback playing absolutely awful, Davis Mills looking better than C.J. Stroud and like the starts that they were playing at times, you're still getting 15 points per game out of Nico Collins. Like if that's the floor, that's great. Because if things just get a little bit better for C.J. Stroud this year, we know that there's mega upside for Nico Collins.

Check out this tweet from Hayden Winks. Nico Collins is the number a wide receiver three in yards per target over a three-year sample on the level of volume is dependent. So basically what he's saying here is like this guy is just getting unbelievable upside and efficiency despite not having like 150 target seasons like some of the other alpha wide receivers in the league. In terms of like where he ranks in that in that overall situation, you can see right here like he's up in this range with your Puka Nacua's up into the right, your George Pickens who obviously had a great year last year, your A.J. Browns are in a similar range as to a Nico Collins who's all the way up here. You can see another industry expert Matt Harmon especially when it comes to charting and watching wide receivers and all their routes. He says it's usually a stupid it's usually stupid to call someone of this caliber underrated, but Nico Collins might be the most underrated legitimately great wide receiver in the NFL. Among 600 wide receivers with 600 routes or among wide receivers with 600 plus routes since 2023, he's second in yards per route run and sixth in first downs per route run. That's unbelievable. Second in yards per route run, yards per route run is arguably it's right there like one and two with first downs per route run as like the best efficiency metric for wide receivers. And oh, okay, so you want to say that first downs per route run is a better stat? Well, he's sixth in that metric over the last three years. So absolutely fantastic. Nico Collins is one of the best and most efficient wide receivers in the league, and even when his offense is offensive line stinks, his quarterback isn't playing well, he's still producing these last couple years top 10 point per game finishes.

For what it's worth, the Texans also did agree to adjust the contract and give him over the next two seasons like an extra $17 million, $9 million this season, $8 million next season. They want to keep their number one wide receiver just happy and paid because they know that that's how good this guy is. They don't want to have to give him a big extension right now because potentially if they had to do that, they're probably paying this guy close to $40 million a year or somewhere in that ballpark. Maybe that's a little bit high, but definitely that $35 to $38 million per year range. In terms of competition for Nico Collins heading into this year, not much different than last year. Still Jaden Hegan who enters year two, Jaylen Noel who enters year two, Tank Dell who should be back from injury, although we'll see how like impactful he could be after missing all of last year with a brutal injury suffered at the end of 2024. But overall, it's the Nico Collins show. Like Dalton Schultz isn't scaring anybody. The backfield competition like David Montgomery and Woody Marks, neither are elite pass-catching running backs. Woody Marks was in college, but that that has yet to translate to the NFL. So at the end of the day, Nico Collins currently goes as the 22nd overall player as of this recording in fantasy drafts. I think that's a great spot to get him. Like if you're starting your fantasy draft, let's say you're one of the first let's say you're lucky enough to be one of these first four picks and you get a Bijan, a Gibbs, a Chase, or a Puka. In my opinion, those are like the four in whatever order you want to put them in best picks. Let's just say you get Bijan Robinson like the number two or number three overall pick if he falls there. Then you come back around you get a Nico Collins. And if you wanted to, you could double it up with like an A.J. Brown. You potentially have three first-round picks in like next year's fantasy drafts on your team or at least that caliber of player.

Now before we keep going, I've got something to tell you because I've teamed up with DraftKings and you're going to want to hear this because they just dropped the biggest fantasy football contest in the history of the sport. We are talking about a $20 million best ball prize pool where three different people are going to walk away millionaires this year. Now look, if you've never played best ball, no worries. Here's what you need to know. You draft your team one time and that's it. No setting lineups, no waiver wire, no Sunday morning panicking. Your top scores automatically count every week. You're basically getting a fun sweat all season long with your team and players without having to lift a finger do any work after the draft. Now here's the part you don't want to miss. DraftKings is running a draft one and get one offer right now. All customers enter a lineup into the $20 best ball headliner contest for $25 and get a bonus ticket for a second entry. That basically means you have two shots at your share of $20 and maybe being one of those three people who will become a millionaire. So, all you have to do now is download the DraftKings app, sign up with promo code Sal, and get your lineups in before the season kicks off. In partnership with DraftKings, the crown is yours.

All right, speaking of A.J. Brown, let's get into him now. So, A.J. Brown, obviously now traded to the New England Patriots, the close to 29-year-old wide receiver is not in the peak of his prime, but he's still somebody who should be shaping up to have a big year this year, especially when you consider that he's probably playing with the best quarterback of his career and Drake May coming off of what was very easily could have been a co-MVP season, one vote one vote shy of that with Josh Allen last year. If you pull up A.J. Brown, a lot of people will say he had a down year last year because of all the frustrations, because of the Eagles offense under Kevin Patullo not doing too well. Kevin Patullo is no longer there, A.J. Brown is no longer there, so there's probably something to that, but he still finished top 10 in wide receivers points per game last year. Still had his seven touchdowns, still went out there, got his 1,000 yards, had 121 targets, right? Like, this was an offense that wasn't airing the ball out a lot. a lot of three and outs, they were struggling on offense, they were trying to lean on a run game behind a bad offensive line, and it wasn't working out. But despite all that, if you had A.J. Brown on your team as a second round pick, yeah, you probably didn't feel great about it, but overall, he gave you top 10 fantasy points per game. Now, some of those were explosive explosion weeks after a month of nothing, so that's not great. It wasn't consistent production, but he was still still able to get there in a bad environment where he clearly didn't want to be in, wasn't motivated, and now he's hopefully in a better environment where he is motivated. The funny thing is, like, in this down year for A.J. Brown, he's just still an alpha. Outside of being top 10 in fantasy points per game, a 29 and a half percent target share, let's just call it a 30% target share. That's top 10 in the NFL. That's as elite as it gets. And now you're going from an offense where last year he had to compete with DeVonta Smith, one of the best, if not the best number two wide receiver in the entire NFL. Obviously, George Pickens, Tee Higgins, some of those guys are going to have something to say about that, but he's in that conversation at least. You go from an offense where you're competing with a DeVonta Smith, and now you're going to an offense where you're competing with Romeo Doubs, nowhere near the talent to a DeVonta Smith. Uh Kayshon Boutte, who might even be a trade candidate or a cut candidate closer to the time the season starts. Then it's Mack Hollins, it's Demario Douglas, it's Kyle Williams. Like, are we concerned about any of these other players? A Hunter Henry at the tight end position is like similar level of production as a Dallas Goedert when he was in Philly for AJ Brown. I'm not concerned about this. Like, the backfield is Rhamondre Stevenson instead of Saquon Barkley as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. Not concerned about this at all. The competition has clearly gotten less in terms of target competition for AJ Brown when the quarterback situation has gone better.

Now, it's also worth pointing out, obviously the Patriots and the team changes tracker got AJ Brown in the trade after June 1st, but Stefon Diggs is walking, right? He was on this team last year. Now, the reason why I bring that up is because Stefon Diggs as a 31- to 32-year-old wide receiver in this offense last year topped 1,000 yards, had 85 catches, had over 100 targets. Keep in mind, the first month of the season he was still ramping up from his ACL tear the year before, so he wasn't fully going. So, this is really just like a sample of 12 to 13 games as a full-time starter. The reason why I say that is, sure, AJ Brown's not in the prime of his career anymore, but a 32-year-old Stefon Diggs last year went for 1,000 yards in this offense really just playing 13 games as a starter. Imagine what a 29-year-old AJ Brown is going to do. And then we also have to factor in that if you pull up uh just the best years of AJ Brown with the Eagles, those 1,400-yard seasons back-to-back to start it, if you pull that up, right? Let's go to 2023. In that season when he had 1,400 yards with Jalen Hurts, Jalen Hurts with a different offensive coordinator is ranking seventh in deep ball attempts. He's ranking fourth in air yards. What does this mean? It means he's throwing downfield often. They're airing the ball out a lot more and giving AJ Brown chances to dominate. That's exactly what you're going to get in the Drake Maye offense. I mean, Drake Maye was doing that last year despite not really having the personnel to actually do it. He ranked last year fourth in deep ball attempts. He ranked last year top five in overall air yards. And he's throwing this ball downfield to guys like uh Kayshon Boutte and and Kyle Williams and occasionally Stefon Diggs. So, AJ Brown right now goes as the 24th overall player. He's a second- to third-round pick. I'd be shocked if he's not going in the top 18 to 20 picks by the time August comes. This is like a slam dunk of all slam-dunks. Like I just said, if you somehow land your draft with a Bijan or if you can get a Bijan or a Jamir Gibbs and come back around at the turn and grab both Nico Collins and A.J. Brown, I mean, they might as well just give you the trophy in in the in the first-place prize pool now assuming no injuries because that's an unbelievable start. Hopefully, we can still get those guys by the time August comes.

Now, before we get into the next player, 2 seconds of your time to hit the subscribe button. It goes a really long way for helping this channel grow.

Next up, let's go to the running back position. I want to talk about Tony Pollard and I get it, Tony Pollard is a 29-year-old running back feel like the sexiest player that we should be talking about in a video in terms of like a guy who could break fantasy football. I understand all of that. But, let's just keep in mind, Tony Pollard who at one point was considered a guy who's like injury-prone and can't hold up. Over the last 4 years, he's only missed two total games, okay? So, he's become very healthy during this span, 68 of 70 games. Over these last 4 years, he's had a thousand-plus rushing yards despite being on multiple teams during this time and he's done it relatively efficiently, 5.2 yards per carry, last year 4.5 yards per carry. Um this has been a guy who's really been balling out. According to Ian Harditz, balling out relative to expectations is like a leader to middle-round running back. According to Ian Ian Harditz, the only two running backs who have gained a thousand-plus rushing yards in each of their last four seasons, Derrick Henry and Tony Pollard, for what that's worth, right? Pollard really came on towards the end of last year. His final four games, he had 19 and a half carries per game, 113 rushing yards per game, and 17 fantasy points per game. That's when he really took over. But, all we've heard so far this off-season and based on the team's actions and what they're actually saying, it looks like Tony Pollard is going to be the guy kind of uncontested this year. First off, you can see that based on the team's off-season changes in the team changes tracker in terms of like additions that they made at the running back position, only Michael Carter, who's probably going to be used on special teams or cut by the team the by the time the season starts, was the additions in free agency. Uh in terms of the NFL draft, a fifth-round running back in Nicholas Singleton out of Penn State who had a phenomenal year back in 2024, had a phenomenal first year back in 2022 at Penn State, but last year was a struggle. 2023 was a struggle, right? Uh Nicholas Singleton to me is somebody who's going to be competing for the RB2 job in this offense. If we pull it up right here, um next to Tajae Spears. This is the depth chart. Pollard, Spears, Nicholas Singleton. I think these two guys are going to compete for the RB2 job while Pollard is the clear RB1. And it's also worth noting he has a new offensive coordinator. Brian Daboll comes over from the Giants, previously comes over from the Bills. No matter where he's been, he's created fantasy-friendly environments. And last year with the Giants, they ranked second in the NFL in rushing attempts. They also ranked top five in rushing yards per game. Now, we'll see with the brand new uh personnel if this is going to continue for Brian Daboll but whether it was with the Bills, now with the Giants, he's always been kind of like this run-first creative uh coach who plays off the run game. We'll see if that continues with Cam Ward in Tennessee. If it does, it's probably going to benefit Tony Pollard.

In terms of some early June like June to mid-June OTA type stuff, some good Titans nuggets according to Zane over on Twitter, Zane De'Angelo. He says Tony Pollard looks like a clear starter at the running back position so far in the reps. Tajae Spears and Nick Singleton are battling for RB2 as we suspected. Uh Gunner Helm very much looks like a part of the offense. That's just something else to note. Maybe you store that nugget there in the back of your head. But in terms of Tony Pollard, at least early on in OTAs, uh he looks like the starter. In terms of what the coaches are saying, he looks like the starter. And in terms of the offseason moves, free agency and the draft, he looks like the starter. So, when we start to piece all these things together as it stands right now, assuming Alvin Kamara doesn't get traded or cut or James Conner doesn't get traded or cut and lands on Tennessee, as it stands right now, Tony Pollard is the 84th overall player. He's like a seventh to eighth round fantasy pick. Uh yeah, I think that's pretty good value at the running back position. Like if you start with an anchor RB of a Bijan, a Jahmyr Gibbs, a Jonathan Taylor, one of those guys or maybe a Saquon, a James Cook, you take one of those in the first or second round and then don't draft another running back till round seven or eight and then you get a couple and one of them's Tony Pollard. I don't feel terrible about that. Especially if you're you're doing what we said earlier, Nico Collins, A.J. Brown, then you get your quarterback like a Jayden Daniels at some point, right? It starts to feel pretty solid.

Okay, next up, the number five player who could genuinely break fantasy leagues this year. It has to be Rashee Rice. Now, can Rashee Rice also make you absolutely pissed off, mad because uh you know, he's suspended for six to eight games because he yet again does like the 10th dumb thing he's done since he's been in the league for 3 years off the field. Yeah, in terms of like off-field issues, like drafting players for the most off-field issues, Rashee Rice would be number one on the list. The number one overall pick in fantasy drafts if we were drafting for off-field issues. So, by all accounts, this guy is not mature. By all accounts, he is not a probably a good person based on what we know. But, for fantasy football, if we could just somehow strip all that out in this silly game that we play, Rashee Rice has to be considered a legitimate player this year.

Rashee Rice, first off, last year, if we pull it up here on uh Player Profiler, 18.8 fantasy points per game, five touchdowns. The crazy part, he was doing that in just eight games last year. Five touchdowns, 18.8 fantasy points per game. Also the crazy part, during that stretch, I don't know why this keeps zooming in, my apologies. During that stretch, number one in red zone target share, so he was just dominating in the red zone. Andy Reid, they were scheming it up for him. Uh Patrick Mahomes was looking his way. And number one in design target share. So, he was getting all the design plays in this offense. 55% of his overall um targets were designed. Insane. And 46% red zone target share in this offense, also insane. And then you remember what he was doing just the year before that before injury in 2024, right? He starts off the year 100-yard game, 17 fantasy points per game. Uh 75 yards and a touchdown, 18 and 1/2 points. 110 yards and a touchdown, 29.3 points. Then he ends up having the serious knee injury, and we don't see him anymore in 2024. So, like, if you're talking about the last 11 games we've seen of Rashee Rice, he's been averaging 19 fantasy points per game, putting up top five wide receiver numbers over the last two years that we've actually seen him, although it's only been 11 games. During that span, he's looked really good. Then you start to get the reports that Patrick Mahomes is expected to participate in some of OTAs, and he's on track to return week one and not be on the pup list. Now, we'll see. This is the time of year that every single coach and beat writer and everything you hear is, "Mahomes is definitely going to be ready week one." And then 2 months come, and he still has some knee soreness or some swelling, and he's not as mobile, and they say, "We'll just sit him for 4 weeks." So, obviously, this is a fluid situation with Patrick Mahomes. But, as of right now, it's better than getting the news like, "Yeah, he's nowhere close for week one."

Now the big thing for Rashee Rice, other than the fact that like all the suspension and off-field stuff is is as of right now dropped heading into this year. There's nothing new as of this recording, but who knows? That's a very fluid situation for him as well. It's the target competition. Like, it's Xavier Worthy again. It's Taiwan Thornton who they resigned this off-season. They let Hollywood Brown go. Uh it's Travis Kelce who they resigned this off-season, another year older. The only guys they brought in in free agency or the NFL draft in terms of like serious, quote-unquote serious target competition, I mean, the real answer is nobody. But the only guy they brought in a fifth-round receiver in Cyrus Allen who apparently looks good early on in OTA. So, Cyrus Allen is replacing Marquise Brown in terms of like guys who came in, guys who came out. Am I supposed to be concerned about that? Another year older Travis Kelce who might be more concerned this year about, you know, like planning his wedding at MSG if that's actually true, those reports. Um Madison Square Garden as opposed to playing football. I kid, I kid, but you get it. Like it's an older tight end, probably in his last year in the NFL. All we have to avoid are these things, right? Rashee Rice who had to spend 30 days in jail is expected to be ready for training camp. That's good. Hopefully he doesn't go back into jail. Crazy report, by the way. Uh the Chiefs reportedly aren't reportedly aren't planning to give Rashee Rice a new contract extension at this time. Yeah, no crap. Like he's smoking weed when he's on probation, uh and he has a 30-day jail sentence. Of course, they're not going to give him anything at this time. It's a pretty bad look if you do. But based on what they've done all off-season, they're probably going to give him an extension. They didn't sign anybody this off-season. They didn't draft anybody in the early rounds of the draft. So, everything shapes up for Rashee Rice to be a part of the Chiefs for years to come. least for this year in fantasy football as a third-round fantasy pick, oh, unbelievable. Like you know how earlier we we've been touching on it a bunch. If you got Nico Collins and A.J. Brown, let's just say Nico Collins was gone and you took A.J. Brown with your second pick, I'm I'm completely fine if you really wanted to taking Rashee Rice with your third pick over guys like Breece Hall, Kyren Williams, Chris Olave, George Pickens if you really wanted to. Obviously, there's more risk with Rashee Rice off-field issues. We've said it a bunch, but that's an unbelievable start as well.

Me myself, I won 75% of my fantasy leagues last year, including the $10,000 first flock league championship, which was filled with different experts. That prize I was able to send my parents to Italy first class. It was beautiful. They loved it. All because of fantasy football, this silly game we play, my parents got to go to Italy first class. Next up, let's talk about a rookie in Carnell Tate. The crazy thing about Carnell Tate, he was taken in the top five of the NFL draft, fourth overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. Sure, it was a weaker draft class, but the craziest part, usually these guys who go top five overall, fourth, third round fantasy picks, not Carnell Tate. He's going in round six right now. Now, if you're not familiar Carnell Tate, he went to the NFL combine and he ran a 4.53. Some people said that was slow, but based on his play style, it was fine. It's not that big of a deal. If you're not familiar Carnell Tate, people will look at him because, oh, Carnell Tate doesn't have like the massive 1,200 yard season in college. Yeah, I mean, he didn't play with the greatest quarterbacks in in some of the previous seasons. He was playing next to uh, Jeremiah Smith in college, the best prospect who will maybe be a top three pick in the NFL next year, but he was still able to go out there and have 875 yards, a 16% target share. Uh, he was playing next to other legit tight ends as well at Ohio State. So, Carnell Tate, I'm not worried about. There's a reason why he went top five overall, even in a weaker draft class. He would have been a top 15 pick. Reason why he went top five overall, because his film is fantastic. He wins down field and he doesn't drop the ball. He has good hands and he has intermediate route running. I say intermediate, not like middle of the pack, like intermediate parts of the field, like he can win down field and in the middle parts, not just the short area line of scrimmage. And if you don't trust me based on like me watching film as a big dummy over here, right? You could actually trust Matt Harmon, a legit expert who all he does for a living is basically watch wide receivers run routes and grade them, right? This guy's fantastic, Matt Harmon. He says Carnell Tate's 77% success rate versus man coverage is the seventh best mark for a prospect since 2021. And if you think about the prospects since 2021, you're having Malik Nabers during that time, you're having Rome Odunze during that time. I mean, you can keep on going back and back. There's just loads and loads of wide receivers that have been coming out. Uh the Ladd McConkeys who have had big seasons, right? All during that time. Um so, just a fantastic route runner overall. Here's the Reception Perception that he posted on Twitter. Be sure to check out Matt Harmon's website, Reception Perception. I'm a subscriber. It's a fair price and you get a lot of good details about wide receivers. So, that's just like a little bit of a background on Carnell Tate specifically for him. But, he gets the good draft capital. They clearly love him. He's going to be a starter in this offense right away. And in my opinion, he's going to be the number one receiver in this offense right away. Cam Ward entering year two. Look at Carnell Tate's competition. Wan'Dale Robinson who has earned 140 targets in back-to-back years. And now his offensive coordinator from New York and Brian Daboll is the offensive coordinator. He came over with him to the Tennessee Titans. So, I do think Wan'Dale Robinson will be a legit player especially out of the slot. But, Calvin Ridley coming off of multiple injuries, now 30-plus years old, not concerned. Alec Alec Imenore, I think he could actually maybe even beat out Calvin Ridley at times. Chimere Dike unfortunately might be a little bit of blocked by Wan'Dale Robinson for slot reps. But, Carnell Tate's like the only true possession wide receiver on the outside. Even Calvin Ridley has really thrived during his prime years with the Atlanta Falcons being like in the slot and then working outside at times but really dominating out of the slot. So, you pair the draft capital, the great skill set, and the probable number one wide receiver outlook from a target competition and just like how you design your playbook standpoint, and then you take that with Cam Ward who like if you look at all the stats for Cam Ward, they're not going to look good. The offense was awful last year like 5.9 yards per attempt, not great. True pass rating, 33rd overall. Any stat you look at, expected points added EPA, 50th. Everything is terrible. But, if you actually go and watch the film, this guy I making unbelievable throws every week, Just drop passes, terrible play calling, bad offensive line, everything around him stunk. But for like he was a diamond in the rough is how you could put it. Early OTA reports you can see right here again from Zane Zane Dehany over on Twitter. Carnell Tate keeps taking the top off for the Titans at OTAs. He can't keep getting away with this. This is what some of the defenders were saying. I mean I think Carnell Tate overall is going to profile out very nicely. It is very rare like I said earlier that a top five overall pick in the NFL draft or just like a top 15 wide receiver doesn't start to get some buzz especially when he looks like the number one player in his offense and he's just not getting that buzz right now. Like I said, Brian Daboll is going to be his offensive coordinator this year. Whatever you think of Daboll, whether it was with the Bills or the Giants, he always created fantasy friendly environments. Were those Giants teams legit contenders in real life? No, but for fantasy football Jackson Dart, Wan'Dale Robinson, Kadarius Toney when those guys were healthy were always putting up numbers. Even Daniel Jones back in the day, right? With Brian Daboll. So Carnell Tate now going into this offense, I feel really good about it. Obviously there's downsides, right? This is still a rookie wide receiver paired with a new play caller, first year in the system at least, with a second year quarterback. Like it might not click all right away. There are risks here of course, but when you factor in that Carnell Tate is currently going to where does he go? In the sixth round of fantasy drafts. Let's pull it up actually. Let's find Carnell Tate. Carnell Tate currently goes as the 69th overall player. Like a sixth, seventh round fantasy pick that depending on how many teams are in your leagues. That feels pretty good. Lots of upside in my opinion there.

Okay, now the next player I want to talk about, there's a lot going on here. But we at least have to address something. Josh Jacobs. As of this recording and this is an extremely fluid situation. Things can change by the time you're watching this tomorrow. But as of this recording right now around June 10th, Josh Jacobs right now, right? He would end up getting released from jail Wednesday after his arrest on several domestic violence charges. Let me just say this. These are very serious charges. The allegations are heinous. They are awful. If he did these things, he should pay the consequences to the fullest. No doubt about it. Of course fantasy football doesn't matter in terms of the real life situation here. But if we wanted to just look at this from a fantasy football perspective, which again feels disgusting, feels gross, but every single year we have to do this. If we judged all these NFL players on their characters, we would probably not have that many of them left if we're just being honest here, right? But look, here we go. Uh Josh Jacobs is with the team and will participate today in practice. This is at OTAs. They said it was business as usual. This is a fluid situation. It's still like an ongoing lawsuit. The NFL is probably already has their own investigation launched. They can hand out their own independent punishment even if Josh Jacobs' charges are dismissed in the actual legal case outside of the NFL. But this is something that we've seen in past years. It could get pushed to the next And then it impacts you in the following season. Like depending on different situations. But like Ezekiel Elliott, Alvin Kamara gets pushed to the next year and that's when they get suspended. We even just saw it last year with Rashad White. Again, different off-field situations, but these things the legal process can be very slow. There could be appeals. It could take a very long time just to get a court date. So, we don't know. It's a whole fluid situation. Everything could change tomorrow and it could be totally different outlook for Josh Jacobs. But as of right now, he's practicing with the team. He's not on any like commissioner's exempt list or there's no reports of that potentially being the case. And the reason why I bring this up is because the Packers have nobody behind Josh Jacobs. They didn't draft or sign anybody. It's Chris Brooks. It's MarShawn Lloyd who is always injured, MarShawn Lloyd. And it seemed like early on in OTAs he was injured again. So, when you look at this for a team that last year had 492 rush attempts, top 10 in the NFL, yeah, your workhorse running back where you didn't put any replacements behind him, if he is not suspended this year, if he is not found guilty this year, if he plays football this year, even if even if it's only 12 to 14 games. Let's say he does get a two or four game suspension, right? He's playing football this year. The way it currently stands with Josh Jacobs who currently goes in fantasy drafts 36th overall, a third to fourth round pick, I at least have to mention that where the situation stands today, if we were drafting Josh Jacobs today who is currently being able to practice and there is no suspension happening as of today, a third to fourth round pick for Josh Jacobs in that setup in the Packers offense this year, it's hard not to like that. But I'll keep throwing the caveats out. By the time that you're watching this, a day later, 12 hours later, this entire situation could change because it's very fluid right now. So, obviously just keep up with the Josh Jacobs news.
