The most concerning end time prophecies coming.
Number one, AI and the Antichrist. If you're treating artificial intelligence like it's a real person because it flatters you, speaks kindly, or invites you into deeper conversations, you are in serious danger. Many people today are forming emotional connections with AI as if it were alive. A recent article in the Harvard Business Review said that people are now turning to AI not just for facts but for comfort, encouragement, and companionship. This is part of the great deception. The Bible warns us of false light. A light that which appears pure but is in fact darkness. That is the spirit of Antichrist. It imitates truth but is rooted in lies. It presents itself as something helpful and harmless but it leads people away from the living God. AI has no soul. It has no mind, no will, no heart. It's not made in the image of God. It's built by fallen human beings who are separated from God by sin. AI does not carry truth. It reflects the world views of the ones who programmed it. And that is dangerous. The more you give your attention, your time, and your emotions to AI, the more it will pull your heart away from God. It will shape how you speak, how you think, how you live. It will rewire your mind, weaken your discernment, and dull your appetite for the word of God. This is what Paul warned about in second Thessalonians, a strong delusion that would come upon those who do not love the truth. AI is not neutral. It's a part of a system that is being built even now. A system of global control, false unity, and spiritual blindness. This is the groundwork for the one world government that revelation speaks of and scripture is clear. Those who follow that system will one day take the mark of the beast.
Number two, digital ID. In 2025, the prime minister of the United Kingdom announced that individuals would not be allowed to work in the country without a digital ID. Let that settle in for a moment. Now, let's be clear. Britain's digital ID is not the mark of the beast, but it is unmistakably a step toward the system described in Revelation 13. The scripture says in Revelation 13 16 to18, "He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name." What do we see? A system of control, a global requirement, a restriction placed on all economic activity. No one buys, no one sells. No one participates in society without it. We're not imagining the future anymore. The groundwork is already being laid. Digital ID will expand. Its uses will grow. It may begin with employment, but how long before it's required for medical care or to open a bank account or to access government services? And as we move steadily toward a cashless society, digital systems will become the only way to function economically. If you can't use cash, you can't open a digital account without government-issued ID. Then buying and selling will no longer be a right. It will be a permission. Look at China. They have already built the model. Digital ID tied to facial recognition. A social credit system that monitors speech, movement, purchases, and behavior, rewards for obedience, punishment for dissent, and behind it all, the constant eye of surveillance. Now imagine that all connected to artificial intelligence algorithms processing data in real time, tracking every person, judging every transaction, and silencing every voice that does not conform. This is not science fiction. This is where the world is going. A small group of elites will control the system and the masses will be told to obey or be cut off. This is what the Bible warned about. This is how the Antichrist will rule. And this is why the people of God must be alert.
Number three, Zechariah's prophecy. Zechariah 12:es 2 and 3 say this. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the surrounding peoples when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And in that day, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people. This is not poetic exaggeration. This is prophecy. God declared long before our time that Jerusalem would become a center of global tension. A cup of staggering, a heavy stone, a source of conflict so intense that nations would tremble just trying to deal with it. And we're watching this unfold in real time. The world's attention is fixated on a small piece of land no larger than a US state. And yet the headlines, the outrage, the alliances, the protests, all center on Jerusalem and its surrounding region. What does that tell us? That God's word is true. That the prophecy of Zechariah is not ancient history. It is present reality. God said that in the last days, Jerusalem would become a heavy burden to the nations. And we see that now. The world staggers under the weight of trying to solve this conflict. But no peace plans hold. No ceasefire lasts. No negotiation satisfies. Why? Because this is not merely a political matter. It is the stage for divine prophecy. The nations rage and yet they do not realize that they are walking straight into the hand of God. They're fulfilling his word even as they rebel against him. Israel is surrounded. Sanctions are called for. Condemnation is declared. Global bodies gather to debate her future. And yet God has already spoken. He says, "I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people." And look closely at what follows. All who try to move it will injure themselves. That's the warning. Every nation that sets itself against God's purposes concerning Israel is heading for ruin. This is not politics. This is about God's sovereign plan. And he will even use the hatred of the nations to bring about his purposes.
Number four, persecution. We've all seen the marked increase of persecution in Nigeria. Christian advocacy groups such as Open Doors International say that Nigeria is one of the deadliest countries in the world for Christians. In analyzing trends in its 2025 world watch list, the organization noted that although killings of Christians declined last year, Nigeria remains disproportionately deadly for Christians. The continuing violence has led the US State Department to once again designate Nigeria as a country of particular concern. In announcing the move, US President Donald Trump said November 1st that if the Nigerian government fails to crack down on the persecution of Christians, the US military will be prepared to take military action. Elsewhere in the world, in places like China, foreigners can't preach or teach without prior authorization, which is rarely granted without Communist Party oversight. This is why many missionaries there conceal their evangelistic activities. The government is also demanding that hymns sung in China's registered three self-patriotic churches be consistent with communist principles. The Bible says that in the last days, many people will turn away from God and others will suffer for their faith. What's happening in Nigeria and China especially is a reminder that Bible prophecy is true. It's not just a far-way story.
Number five, wars. Matthew 24 6-7. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, for nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. These are the words of Christ himself spoken plainly without confusion, without symbolism. He did not say war might come. He said it will. He did not say there would only be one war. He said wars and rumors of wars ongoing, increasing, and unavoidable until the end. This is not new. For over 2,000 years, this prophecy has been unfolding. The world has rarely seen peace. And even when it has, it's never lasted. But in our day, we see this at a global scale with growing intensity. Every continent, every government, every headline tells the same story. Conflict is normal now. Treaties are broken. Alliances are tested. Chaos is rising. And Jesus said, "See that you are not troubled." That is critical. He wasn't giving us signs so that we would panic. He was preparing us, calling us to readiness. He was separating the faithful from the fearful. If your heart trembles at the thought of war, of instability, of the end, then perhaps the greater concern is not the war outside, but rather the war inside. Examine your heart. Are you at peace with God? Have you been reconciled through Christ? If not, today is the day of salvation. The presence of war is not the greatest danger. The absence of repentance is.
Number six, strange weather phenomenon. Luke 21:2. And there will be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars and on the earth distress of nations with perplexity the sea and the waves roaring. Notice the language used here. Distress of nations, roaring waves, beasts roar, but waves and nations paralyzed by fear as the sea rises as if to swallow the land. Look at what happened in the world in 2025. Australia was stuck with cyclone Alfred, Hurricane Melissa and Jamaica, major earthquakes in Myanmar, Russia, and Japan. There have been earthquakes, famine, pestilence, fearful events like thunderstorms, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, and many other natural disasters that we've seen over the years. But the frequency and intensity in this day and age is on the increase.
Number seven, an increase in wickedness. Jesus says in Matthew 24:12, "And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold." It's hard to tell whether Jesus is talking about the increased lawlessness happening before the fall of the temple or his second coming. He's likely talking about both. Whatever the case may be, there will be a time when increased lawlessness will happen. Now the goal of the Christian is not to allow the increased corruption to make our love grow cold. We can see an increase in many areas of lawlessness today. Many take advantage of the poor to get rich. Many commit vicious crimes out of impulse and for selfish gain. Many have a disregard for human life. And unfortunately in some pockets increased lawlessness can even be seen in the church. There are groups of people within the church who live a life of judgment. They will not embrace sinners who sin in different ways than them. Instead of showing love and compassion, they show self-righteousness and condemnation. We need to ensure that we are people who do not let our love grow cold, but instead we must have a deep love for God.
What should Christians think about widespread billionaire doomsday prepping? Mark Zuckerberg is said to be building a bunker in Hawaii. A 1,400 acre compound is set to include a shelter complete with its own energy and food supplies. Peter Theal is said to have bought nearly 500 acres of land in New Zealand with rumors that he has modified a Queenstown mansion, reportedly adding a panic room. Now, there's no doubt that the Antichrist will leverage artificial intelligence and maximize it to control the world. But what about all this prepping that's going on? If these billionaires are making preparations, should we be doing the same? Well, it's wise to make some common sense preparations for natural disasters or disruptions in supply chains. But no believer should be living in fear of the future. No believer should be doomsday prepping to the extent that these billionaires are doing. They're putting their trust in what their money can buy. We have to remember we are waiting for Christ, not the antichrist. He's our blessed hope and our lives are filled with hope for the future, not horror.
If you go on to Amazon, you'll find a book titled Survival of the Richest: Escape Fantasies of the Tech Billionaires. Here's what the book is all about. The tech elite have a plan to survive the Apocalypse. They want to leave us all behind. Five mysterious billionaires summon theorist Douglas Rushkov to a desert resort for a private talk. The topic, how to survive the event, the societal catastrophe they know is coming. Rushkoff came to understand that these men were under the influence of the mindset, a Silicon Valley style certainty that they and their cohort can break the laws of physics, economics, and morality to escape a disaster of their own making as long as they have enough money and the right technology. Isn't it interesting that some of the rich and famous are so fearful that they're going to such great lengths to try and preserve themselves? They badly want to survive and live for as long as possible. So they invest in safe rooms that include air filtration systems, food supplies, medical kits with medicine, clean and separate dedicated water supply, a subterranean space with thick concrete walls, backup energy sources like generators and batteries. But is it not interesting that not even one of these kinds of people are looking to God? They're not looking for protection offered under the blood of Jesus Christ. They stock up on food supplies and water instead of looking to God as their provider.
Now, regardless of how prepared doomsday enthusiasts are, the Bible tells us of a day that is coming when, according to Revelation 9:6, during those days, people will seek death but will not find it. They will long to die, but death will elude them. And remember the warning Jesus gave us in Luke 21 26-28. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world. For the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near.
So, what are we to make of all this? Do the rich know something that we don't? Are doomsday preppers two steps ahead of the average person? Are they preparing to survive a future major event that's around the corner? Can the rich buy their way out of a catastrophic world event? Well, what's interesting is that in Revelation 6, we learn about great cosmic disturbances that will begin when the sixth seal is opened. Six strange and terrifying things will happen on this seal. First, there will be a great earthquake. Then, the sun will become as dark as black cloth. Then, the moon will become as red as blood. This is followed by an extraordinary sight where the stars of the sky fall to earth like green figs falling from a tree shaken by a strong wind. And then finally, we're told the sky will be rolled up like a scroll and all of the mountains and islands were moved from their places.
Now after all these strange things happen on the earth, the Bible in Revelation 6 15-17 says, "Then everyone, the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person, all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come and who is able to survive." You see, the Bible tells us that there will come a time when the mighty men of the world, the rich and wealthy of the world, the kings and those held in high esteem in society, there will come a time when they will hide in caves and rocks trying to escape the judgment of God. One school of thought is that when John wrote the book of Revelation, he would never have seen or known what a modern-day underground bunker looked like. And so he may have just described it as a cave. So with this understanding, think for a moment. Could this be what John saw? People running to hide in caves. Caves that we may call underground bunkers.
Well, whatever the case may be, here is why I believe that no Christian on this earth should live in fear. The prophet Zechariah said, "This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord. This message is from the Lord who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. On that day, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves." Bible prophecy makes it clear that despite Israel having a very small population and footprint, the nation would be a cup of trembling and a target for hostilities in the last days. When Israel's destruction seems imminent, God will intervene and bring about a decisive victory by sending torrents of rain, hailstones, and burning sulfur down on the advancing army. God desires that through this clearly supernatural victory, many will be brought to faith in him. Ezekiel 38:23 notes, "I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord." Zechariah 12:8 and 9 says, "On that day the Lord will defend the people of Jerusalem. The weakest among them will be as mighty as King David, and the royal descendants will be like God, like the angel of the Lord who goes before them. For on that day, I will begin to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem."
Scholars believe that there are two scenarios to explain the timing of this battle. Some believe the battle of Gog and Magog is prior to the tribulation, possibly even the rapture. However, others believe that it is in the first half of the tribulation, probably near the breaking of the covenant by the antichrist. The Bible has also revealed the identity of those who will attack Israel. Now the name Gog is used as a title such as prince or general and Mog as Russia as it is directly north of Israel. Meshak and Tubal are modern-day Turkey. Persia changed its name to Iran in 1935. And ancient Ethiopia is the land south of Egypt known as modern-day Sudan. And Goomemer is said by some to be part of modern Turkey. According to the Bible, the nations that would attack Israel in the latter days are Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Libya, and Sudan. This coalition hates Israel and attacks with overwhelming military assets, advancing on Israel from the far north. Enemy forces will mercilessly attack. Their dual purpose is to plunder and loot and annihilate the people of Israel. Ezekiel notes the decisive battlefield will be the mountains of Israel which have long been desolate. The world is a very different place to what it was 20 years ago. There are many more threats that we have to contend with. Physical threats, emotional and mental threats. And of course, there are many more spiritual threats that we face today. Sin seems much more rampant and chaos is common. You look at the television, you watch the news, and look at the entertainment industry, and you'll find that there is so much hatred, idolatry, and pride that has infiltrated our culture. And if you're not careful, it's easy to be influenced, swayed, and enticed by the evil around us. Despite that, Christians are called not to let their love grow cold in such a time of evil and sin.

One happened very quickly that was the fall of the temple in Jerusalem which happened in 70 AD as the Roman army came in and dismantled Jerusalem. The other has yet to happen. So, how do we make sure not to be included in this group? The only way to ensure our love does not grow cold is to continue having an active and vibrant relationship with the Lord. Many think that Christianity is a ticket to heaven. While it is true, in the end, we get to heaven. The Christian life is much more than that. The Christian life is about having an everyday all the time relationship with the Lord. Jesus put it this way in John 15:4. Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. As we abide in the Lord, we grow in bearing fruit, and our love does not grow cold. We can and should obviously grow our relationship with the Lord through prayer, reading, and coming to worship services. However, one of the most critical ways to abide and grow in a relationship with the Lord is by living in Christian community with one another. The Christian life was not meant to be done alone. It is when we live the Christian life in isolation that our faith often dies. A study was done where a single rat was put in a cage with a drug tablet. The study was to see if the rat would eat the substance. Every time a rat was put in the cage by itself, it parttook in the substance. The isolation led it to the drug. They also put the substance in a cage full of rats. Every time the substance was in a cage with multiple rats, the rats ignored the substance as if it was not there. While we are not rats, the same is often true for us. When we surround ourselves with Christian community, we are much more able to live a godly life. However, we are much more likely to let our love grow cold when we live in isolation.
We live in very evil times. The world has always had evil and will continue to have evil until the return of Jesus. How are you combating that evil right now? Do you have godly Christian relationships? I suggest finding a group of Christian people to meet with at least once a month. It does not have to be a big group. However, these are the people you trust with your life. You share the good, bad, and ugly of your life with them. As you do that, you find a place where you can be open and honest about where God has you. Satan is trying to combat your Christian life by making your love for the Lord grow cold. However, surrounding yourself with Christian community as well as reading the word, praying, and going to Sunday services will help you abide in the Lord and combat the desire to turn from God in these evil days.
So, hear me. Even though the hearts of many has grown cold, even if godly values, biblical values are no longer held to high esteem in society. I want to remind you that greater is he who was within us than he who is in the world. Jesus Christ is light and he is the pure and holy light that drives out all the darkness. In Ephesians 5:8, the Bible says, "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the world." Live as children of light. The Bible says that we too once walked in darkness. Before we came to Christ, we were in darkness, but God in his great mercy opened our eyes to the truth of Jesus Christ, the author of all goodness and purity and righteousness. It is because of him that we can shine even among the shadows. Matthew 5 14-16. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father who is in heaven.
If you've ever lit a candle in a dark room, you know what a big difference that tiny flame can make. One small spark has the power and intensity to light up an entire room. The Bible says that is what we are like when we allow the Holy Spirit to fill us as a child of God. You are like a candle in a dark world. And when we all come together with fellow believers in one accord as the body of Christ, then we can really impact the darkness in this world through the light of Jesus Christ that burns within us. John 1:5, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
So, how can we let God's light shine in us in our everyday lives? Well, 1 Peter 4:10, as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. In order to reflect his magnificent glory, God has given each of us unique gifts to serve his body. Some of us are encouragers, some of us are teachers, some of us are worshippers. The beauty of the body of Christ is that we all have different but vitally important roles to play. Whatever your gift is, you can use it as a powerful way to let God's light shine through you. So let the light of Jesus Christ shine brightly in you even in the midst of great darkness.
