Hey everyone, Robert Sterns here, coming to you from Washington D.C. We're at National Church of God, Fort Washington, Maryland. Bishop Step Lowry, who is our dear friend, who we love here at the East Coast Leadership Conference. We've been having an amazing, amazing time. And a large portion of why we've been having such an amazing time is because of our friend, Dr. Miles Monroe, and the incredible, incredible ministry and word that you've been bringing. It's been so remarkable.
You know, I knew two things about this conference. I knew that God had given us the theme, "Establishing Kingdom Order." Yes. And I knew that the Lord had spoken to us to have you here. Wow. And you and I have interacted in ministry for the past 15 years. Yes. Um, but it's just never worked with your incredible, busy schedule to have you at one of our events. We've been at many events together around the world in ministry, but you've never yet been to an Eagles Wings event. And God sent you here on purpose, on time, at this time, at this time, at this moment. Speak a word, uh, about Kingdom Order, this conference, and what God's putting in your heart, uh, for the new breed of believer, of Kingdom believer, that's arising. Yeah.
But I think that the theme of this conference that the Lord gave you is right on time. It is also the thrust of God right now around the world. Uh, there is so much conflict in religion, right? And, uh, Christianity has been reduced to two, a religion that there's just a matter of time when we will see that all religions basically cannot satisfy or bring peace to humanity. Uh, as a matter of fact, it seems as if that the number one source of problems on Earth is religion. Even terrorism itself is motivated by religious zeal. Uh, you look at history, most of history, the conflicts in history, results of religious activities. You know, the Inquisition and the Crusaders and all this stuff, it's all religiously motivated. And so religion obviously is not the answer to humanity's problems. So there must be something else. And if that is true, then maybe we missed Jesus's message. Because if religion is not solving our problems, even the one that claims to represent Jesus, then maybe we missed his message. And I am suggesting that we missed this message. And this conference is forcing us to go back and to take another look and rediscover the Jesus that most of us never met before. Jesus Christ wants us to reestablish the foundation of his message, to return to that mandate. And that mandate was the Kingdom of God on Earth. All he preached was the kingdom. And I believe that the conflict that is coming in the world, people think is going to be between Islam and and Christianity. I disagree. I believe that the great conflict that's about to take us in this planet is a conflict between Christianity and the Kingdom of Heaven. Kingdom citizens will have to be distinguished from Christians. Christianity is now become, first of all, a political party or ideology. It has become a, a matter of an institution. It's an organization. Uh, there are so many different types of Christian representation. You got, you got homosexual churches, homosexual bishops. You've got bishops who are down low and low-down bishops. You've got people in churches who are living all kinds of lives which claim to be Christians. You've got political parties say they are Christian Democratic Party or Christian Republican, all this stuff going on. So Christianity is really confusing. When I studied Jesus, I discovered that Jesus Christ was not a religious man. He didn't, didn't bring a religion to Earth. He didn't preach a religious message. He said in Matthew 4:17, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has arrived." And every page after that, he kept repeating himself, the kingdom, the kingdom, the kingdom. So I believe that, uh, uh, in the next 10 to 20 years, we're going to see a rediscovery of the Kingdom message. And you are actively involved at the Diplomat Center in the Bahamas in training, really giving a fresh worldview to Christian leaders and making them Kingdom leaders. And, and so people can visit your website and get in touch with what's going down there because it's not just about, I think, I think maybe in the past you have been perceived as a teacher mainly of, well, what's the vision and the purpose that God's put in you? And that was the message for the season. But God has transitioned it now, and it's about, what is the Kingdom message for the U.S., the corporate people of God, and how do we represent that?
One final question, 'cause I know you have to go. And, uh, one final question: How much of your revelation that's coming to you on this message of Kingdom would you say has been, uh, peaked by or, or, or, or catalyzed by your connection to Israel? We met in Israel. We met in Jerusalem. You've been there, I don't know how many times. We've been there. Love Israel. And interacting with Israel, with Jewish people, challenges the thinking of a traditional Christian. How has that played out for you?
You know, I think that, first of all, the history of Israel itself is a Kingdom history. Uh, you know, matter of fact, Jerusalem is called the City of the Great King, not the City of the Great Prime Minister. All right. So the very context of Israel and the center of its capital is a Kingdom-based capital. In the book of Isaiah, the promise of the Kingdom, Isaiah chapter 9, it says, "For unto us a child would be born, a son would be given, and he's coming with the government upon his shoulders, not a religion. His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Then it says, "Of the increase of his government, there shall be no end." Not religion. And then it says, "He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom forever." And the Lord shall accomplish us with his zeal. In other words, the very promise of the coming of Christ was the bringing of a kingdom. So Israel will never be fully satisfied until it restores its connection to the Kingdom of God, not a republic or a democracy. And this is why Israel can never be completely fulfilled until they honor the Kingdom and the King of Israel, which is Jesus Christ. And that's why this message is so important to Israel. When I went back to Israel, Bob, for the first time over 29 years ago, my faith changed because I discovered that the faith that I was believing in didn't have a root. And, you know, if you have no root, then you can't get nutrients, you can't understand fruitfulness. The city of Jerusalem is the root of the church. That's right. Jesus began his church in Jerusalem, not Rome, not Rome, not Tulsa. I tell you. And that's the problem. We have shifted. Yeah. The focus of his work to Rome or some other place. Jesus says, "You begin in Jerusalem, and then Samaria, and Judea, and then the, the past world." Comes back to Jerusalem. Exactly. So when you go to Israel, you suddenly realize not just the content of your faith, but the context of your faith. Everything you read about in the Bible comes alive. And, and then the people there, they are so unique. They give you back a sense of, of relationship with a family. And I believe that until the church in the Western world reconnects itself to the, to the center of the church, the foundation of the church in Israel, they will never have a sense of identity. And so we need to pray, sir. We need to pray for the stability of Israel, the safety of Jerusalem. And pray as the Lord says, "If we pray for Jerusalem, the peace of Jerusalem, the Lord will bless us." And it's not that the Jewish people are better or superior or different. It simply means they are victims of prophecy. MH. Every family, every family has a firstborn child. Absolutely. And that firstborn child makes the way for those who are to come after. Exactly.
