My religion is true and your religion is false. One of the things that I remember is that when I was involved in religion, that the religion that I believed in, I had 100% conviction that the one that I had was 100% truth and that all the other religions outside of that were 100% false. And I swore up and down at that time that the truth that I had was from The One and Only Living God and that everybody else must have been from the devil. Right, this is the type of mindset that I remember having, um, during my stages of going throughout religion.
And so looking back, one of the interesting things that I find is that I had many of these strong convictions and beliefs. And many of these beliefs that I had about other people's beliefs being false was founded upon not even knowing really what those other religions were about. Right, I used to think that other things like Buddhism, uh, Islam, Hinduism, African stuff, all those things like to believe were absolutely from the devil. But the thing is, I didn't hardly know anything about those religions.
Then what happened is that I started doing one thing that terrifies a lot of people who are involved in religions, especially the proselytizing religions, Christianity and Islam, is that I started to ask questions and then go and start seeking for answers. And I started climbing myself out of the little box that I had created for myself and started seeing from a top-down view how things are starting to work. Right, and so as a result, I begin to understand that many of those beliefs that I had about all the other people having these fake religions from the devil and mine being the one true religion, that many of these other people also had the same types of belief about what I was believing. Right, I started to see it. Everyone's pointing the fingers at everyone else. Other people were saying that all those people over there, they have the devil on them. Right, they don't have the true gospel. They don't have the true, true religion. We have the true religion. Right, and you see other people in other corners, they're pointing to other people on, on, you know, to the other side of the room saying that they have the truth and they, other people are meant to be the ones who deceive people at the end of times. Right, and you start to see it all unfold when you have the top-down view. Right, when I wasn't immersed in the belief, as I start to climb out of the box, I can start to see these things.
Right, and so after coming from a very zealous group, I was in the Israelites for a certain time. After coming from that zealous group and then seeing other zealous groups as well, who have a real zeal for what it is that they believe and they also have means and justifications for what it is that they believe. Right, they can pull out Bible scriptures and Islamic scriptures all day long to justify what it is that they believe. I came to the conclusion, right, that these are just beliefs. Right, I got to see it for what it was. That these are just beliefs. Right, and while it's necessary to have beliefs, at the same time, it's also necessary to understand that other people are going to have beliefs that are very different from what you have, and they are right in their own mind. Right, and I come to understand this as I begin to grow, growing character and growing understanding.
And so what I want to do is show some people out there what it looks like with other groups who have strong convictions and how they see other groups, and how each and every one of these groups is strong in their conviction, and they also think that the other groups are false in their beliefs. So let's go into this first video here and showing how this Christian pastor believes that his Jesus is the right one while the Mormon Jesus is the fake one.
"The Christ of Mormonism, the Jesus of Mormonism, is a created being who's the spirit brother of Adam and Lucifer, created by a God who was created by another God. And we say the Jesus of Mormonism is not the true Jesus, a false Jesus. While Mormons affirm that they believe in the Jesus that we believe in, it has always been Satan's Antichrist strategy to affirm the wrong Christ, the wrong Jesus, and thus to subtly deceive people, redefining Jesus. It's been very effective."
Now, the truth of the matter is that Jesus has been redefined ever since his death. People have been redefining Jesus to fit whatever they imagine him to be that's suitable for the life that they have and that suits the image that they want him to be. Right, and that's why you have all these variations of Jesus and what Jesus is supposed to have done and what people imagined him to be like. Right, so this is not just unique to the Mormons. But in his mind, he can't see that that the Jesus that he has redefined is also not going to go back to the original Jesus. Right, it's one that he has crafted himself. And this is what all people have done with this character Jesus. They've made it fit into their own belief. And right, and I realized that this is something that I was doing as well when I was in religion. Right, which means that you have to analyze your own thoughts. And this is something that's terrifying to a lot of people because you might find something there that you didn't expect and you didn't want to find.
Now here's what it looks like when a Christian pastor believes his Jesus to be correct and the Jehovah's Witness Jesus to be incorrect.
"Hey, what's going on family? So we're downtown Orlando and I see some Jehovah's Witnesses posted up over there. We're just going to go over there and interview them and, um, see what they believe in."
"Hello guys, we're just out here vlogging. What is this, guys? Invitation of the most important day of the year. We're offering to the public. It's a memorial of the death of Jesus Christ."
"Is Christianity? Is it something different?"
"Or yes, we consider ourselves to be Christians and we have a nice page on our website that's for anybody in the news field to look at and answer a lot of questions when it comes to what our beliefs are."
"And so you guys don't know the answers to the questions of the things you believe in? You guys pointed to a website and somebody else?"
"I'll tell you this though, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in the death, burial, and resurrection, and that he's the fullness of God bodily. That this is actually pointing people the wrong direction. It's, it's a false gospel. I know the gospel. If anyone asks me, a Muslim, a Catholic, a Jehovah's Witness, I could be able to defend the gospel. So what I would say is, instead of pointing people to a website and in fear, not knowing if you're going to heaven or hell or where people's souls go when they die, seek the scriptures, not by man, and not by somebody who, who figured out the scriptures in 1970 something and and figured out a new revelation. So I would highly recommend you guys would honestly repent, turn away from this wickedness, and stop pointing people the wrong way."
So this is what I mean by people redefining Jesus and making Jesus out to whatever it is that they see to be fit for themselves. And this is exactly what we saw in this video. People make Jesus out, and whenever it doesn't conform to their belief, then somebody else's Jesus is going to be the wrong one. And to tell you to go and repent and go find the Jesus that they have in their mind. In his mind, he has redefined Jesus to make it fit to his own conformity and to his own standards. And then the other people, the Jehovah's Witnesses, they have another version of Jesus that they have. Right, and each one of these people have redefined Jesus because we can't actually know what the actual Jesus was. Because in order to really know somebody, you have to have been there and lived with someone. Same thing for today, you can't really know a person unless you've really, you know, become acquainted with those people. Right, you've sat with them, you've talked to them, you've had actual discussions with them. We have a small amount of, uh, literature referring to the life of Jesus, small, a few, you know, pages, few pages. And from those pages, it's other people's accounts who have written these things decades after he was purported to have lived. Right, and so it's hard to say that it's anyone has an accurate depiction of what Jesus really was and what the person really was when he lived. Right, but you can see people are willing to go to war for these things. Right, they're willing to go out on the streets and battle, willing to go to other people and say that other people are wrong. But all you have to do is step back and just consider real quick and see how reliable it is, the interpretation that some, that, you know, someone may have of Jesus to the reality of what it is that he actually was when he was living. Right, and the chances are, it's a high probability that it's most likely the idea that a person has of Jesus is probably not what the person was when he lived. Right, especially off the, you know, the small amount of documentation that we have about his life. Right, so these, but people have firm beliefs on these things.
Okay, so let's go on to the next video where we have a Catholic who's saying that the Catholic church is the one and only true church. Right, this is her opinion on it.
"Often times you'll catch me saying that the Catholic Church is the one true church and that it was established in 33 AD. Now, there are many reasons as to why I believe this, but one of the main reasons that I believe this is that Jesus Christ established a church. In Matthew 16:18, we know that this church was established. Scripture teaches us that this church will remain till the very end of age, that Christ will remain with them, and that this church will always prevail. The only church that we could trace back to the time of Christ is the Catholic Church. I don't want to get into the whole semantics part of it where people are like, well, it says the church in Acts 11, it doesn't say Catholic. The thing is, Catholic was first used in 107 AD by St. Irenaeus. Well, maybe not first used, but first written down in 107 AD. But nonetheless, the only church that you can trace back to the time of Christ is the Catholic Church. All other Protestant churches came around after the 1500s."
Uhoh, here we go. A lot of people hold the opinions that the Roman Catholic Church is from the devil. Right, many people in the Christian community hold those thoughts. But to her point, right, she has a point from her perspective. And her perspective is that all these other churches come out of the Roman Catholic Church. So if the Roman Catholic Church is the seed of the devil, here we go. But this is a good example here showing how someone could believe that their church is the one and true and only church, and they have justification to back it up. Right, everyone's going to have things that they base their beliefs off, and they're going to have reasons behind it. Whether those reasons be true, whether they be strong reasons or not, they hold them to be true in their own minds. Right, and so we have seen here as an example, and she holds these truths to be 100% accurate, that the Roman Catholic Church is, is the true church. Right, and she's sticking with that. Right, and everyone else is going to have different opinions, but that's her belief. Like she mentioned in there, she believes that.
Now here we go. Now in this next video, it's going to show how there's a Christian who's saying that the Catholic church is a false doctrine. Watch this.
"Hey, Troy Goldsmith here. Just wanted to take a minute to disprove Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholicism, uh, it's a false religion because, um, it teaches a different gospel. It's false because it teaches is a different gospel."
Different gospel from what it is that he believes. Right, so obviously why wouldn't it be false? Okay. Um, Rome's doctrine and and their dogma concerning justification, um, it, it contradicts that which scripture teaches. For example, in Romans 3:28, Paul and the apostles held that a person is justified by faith without works of law. Now, uh, at the Council of Trent, uh, Rome, um, established that its dogma on justification was that if a person believes that a person is justified by faith alone and that good works are merely a fruit, that person is anathematized, eternally a curse. Therefore, Roman Catholicism is false because it contradicts the word of God on an essential doctrine."
Or does it contradict the word of a man who wrote that? Right, so we have to think about this. So obviously he's against doing work. Right, this is his doctrine. So he's in alignment with that. And anything that is different from that, he's going to say is false. Why wouldn't he? Right, it's contradicting a belief that he has. No one wants to say that their belief is false. Right, and so they'll push it out on everyone else who does not believe in that belief that they have created in their own mind. Right, and so he's saying this is the word of God, the one that Paul wrote. You know, this is how this stuff works. Right, it's amazing to me every time I see it. Right, because it's so clear and obvious that it's, you know, you could say a blind person can see it, but obviously people who have eyes can't see it. Right, and that's probably because you need a different set of eyes when you're looking at this stuff.
Right, so here's another video here where this person is saying that everything else is fake other than Jesus because they couldn't find his bones.
"This video will settle the religion debate forever. Confucius founded Confucianism, and after he died, he was, was buried right here, and you can still find his bones there. Buddha founded Buddhism, and here's where his remains are. Muhammad founded Islam, and this is where he's buried, and that's where you can find his bones. But here's what changed everything. Jesus founded Christianity, and he resurrected from the dead, and nobody's ever been able to find his body or remains."
Now here we go. Now people will come up with anything. Right, this is what I'm talking about. Now, this absolutely does not settle the debate on religion. Right, if anything, all this does is prove that the people who founded those other religions actually existed. While there, you can't be 100% certain that Jesus actually existed. Right, and if they had the bones of Jesus, it would prove that. But if they did find any bones of Jesus, then obviously it would go against the doctrine of him, uh, coming back from the dead and flying up into the sky and being taken away. Right, but this just shows that people can come up with anything to prove their point in their religious belief. Right, whether if it's nonsense or not. Right, and so here's another video here where there's a Christian person who's saying that Hinduism is absolutely false. Now watch this.
"Thoughts on Hinduism? Well, it's just another false religion like any other. This one especially makes no sense because they believe that humans are in a cycle of death and rebirth over and over again. But of course, there's zero evidence for this whatsoever. We know for a fact that Jesus rose from the dead, and he taught that if you believe in Jesus, you're going to live forever, not an infinite loop of birth and death and rebirth. You know, fire, that one is fire here."
So for him, he sees in Hinduism this coming back from death and rebirth and all these cycles, there's absolutely zero evidence for this. But somehow for Jesus rising from the dead, he has all this evidence. And we know for a fact that Jesus rose from the dead. Right, you see how this stuff works? Right, this is what happens when you get blinded by religion. Right, and belief. It doesn't allow you to reason properly. All he has to do is just step back, right, and he will see that what he's claiming in his belief is, is no different, right, in its claim than someone who's claiming rebirth. Right, they're all, both of those claims are just beliefs. No one can substantiate or, or, um, prove any one of those. No one can. Right, they're just beliefs.
"They also teach that even if you don't live righteously, you're going to be reborn and live forever. You'll never die because you're immortal. But of course, we know that Jesus taught that you will perish if you do not walk in the light. You will not get to live forever. You're not immortal unless you receive immortality from Jesus Christ by grace through faith in him."
See that? So we know this is what he's saying. These are strong words of conviction. He knows this with a fact. Right, and just like the Islamic person knows it for a fact for them that the Prophet Muhammad is the last true messenger and that Allah is the one true God. All these people know these things for, for a fact. The Mormons know for a fact Joseph Smith is the prophet of God. Right, these people know these things for for a fact, strong beliefs. But the reality of the situation is that these beliefs are right in the minds of the believers, and they're wrong in the minds of the non-believers. Right, they're just beliefs.
Okay, so let's go into this video here where you have a Christian person saying that the Black Hebrews need to repent and that they're the fake Jews.
"Uhoh, I want you to listen to me. I want you to listen to me good. The Black Hebrew Israelites, they're fake Jews. If you notice, all they do is stand on the street corners and cuss people out. They don't display any of the fruit of the spirit. They don't display the love of Christ. Their message of salvation is found in skin color and not the blood of Jesus."
Now, the Israelites hearing this, they would say the same thing about this gentleman here. They would say that he doesn't have the blood of Christ. He doesn't have the fruits of the spirit. What he's doing is against the scripture. Right, and so it is on both sides pointing the fingers like this. And each one of them could find some scripture in the Bible, pull it out, and they could both justify their position. Right, because this is how these things work. You refuse, you, you see one thing in the light in which you want it to be, but they would refuse to see another thing in another light that goes against that belief that they have. That's how these beliefs work, and that's how people function when they hold these types of beliefs. And the truth is that each one is right in their own imagination. That's what we have to really understand. Right, it takes some time to come to that understanding. But when you come to understand that and realize it, then you lift all the weight off your shoulders. And now you don't have to fight about whose belief is right and who is not, because they're just beliefs. Right, and each one is right according to the way they see it when we're talking about things that are just purely based on belief, right, and not factual things.
"If you consider yourself a Black Hebrew Israelite, you need to repent because even though that verse in the Book of Revelation was referencing Jews from time back then, nowadays many of you are fake Jews."
Here we go. You see how spicy this thing can get. And so you see how this stuff works, don't you? And so for me, years ago, when I begin to realize how belief works, and I begin to see how it worked in my own mind, and I begin to see how it worked in the minds of others, I begin to see that it was like a psychological blinding mechanism. Right, and it doesn't allow you to see and realize how the beliefs that you may have are not too far, uh, different from other people who have different beliefs. Right, and that many people are making claims that cannot be proven or disproven. Right, that they're just claims and beliefs. But what happens is that many people who can't see that, they begin to call other people's beliefs false. Right, and then the other people, as a, you know, in return, obviously they're going to call your beliefs false, and you have both people, you know, going back and forth at this. And this is especially true, especially true for the Islamic and Christian-based religions. Those are the ones who are out there who have a mission to go and convert people. Those are the ones who you tend to see always pointing the finger at the other person being false, and the other, and their belief being true. Right, the ones who come out of those type of doctrines, Bible-based and Quran-based. And I don't see many of this activity coming from the religions like the, uh, Buddhism, Hinduism, the traditional African religions, and other traditional religions throughout the world. You don't see them. They have more of a religious tolerance. They're more mature in the, the way that they see the world. Right, and the other ones, they're, you know, a lot more immature in the way that they see things. Right, and they can't see that other people just have different beliefs. Right, because of the doctrine what's rooted in the doctrine that they have and what's rooted in those scriptures that they follow. Right, it lends towards that type of behavior. And their mission is to go out and to go and colonize people's minds. Right, and to go and convert as many people as possible into their way of seeing things. Right, because they cannot stand that other people have different beliefs than what they have when it comes to this idea of God or spirituality or religion. Right, and so hopefully you've had the chance to see many people pointing out that they have the truth and other people do not have the truth. They all point the finger out at one another. But one thing that they do not do is point the finger at themselves and they don't analyze themselves in their own, uh, views and religious beliefs. Because what happens when you start doing that, right, then you, there's a chance that you might end up exiting those religions, which is a terrifying thing in the minds of many people.
