We might as well just go ahead for baby number three. Come spend New Year's Eve as a 23 year old stay at home mom and wife of two under two. I am so very absolutely fed up with these periods. Of course, I started in the new year and since having two children, I don't know why they just feel like they're so much worse.
I woke up and went straight to take a bath and got into some comfortable PJs because I like to be comfortable when I feel like this and did mama's skin care and took care of me. I let get in the tub with me because of course I can never take a bath by myself. Literally, even if that means my husband is even getting in with me. Then Coco woke up all smiles as usual. So, I went to get her dressed for the day and her little chunky sofa is just so cute. My own baby gives me baby fever and that's why I say number three, too. And will always be my baby.
I let Coco play in her crib and then went dressed for the day and me and her brushed our teeth together and of course had our worship music on. You got to know we bringing Jesus in the new year with us. Without Jesus, we are literally nothing and have nothing. And honestly, I don't really have any resolutions, but God has already started teaching me new things this new year.
The world is a mess, y'all. There's literally demons everywhere. And God reminded me that he wants us to be the salt of the earth. And that means as followers of Jesus, we're called to have a positive and preserving influence on the world, rebuking and casting out all them demons while enhancing goodness and preventing moral decay. Now, here's the juicy part. Just like salt enhances our food and prevents the decay of our food. It's so beautiful when you actually sit there and think about it. We serve the most amazing father and he is so intentional. Our family does and will continue to be that light and salt that Jesus calls of us in everyone's lives. The only reason you're Christian is because somebody told you about Jesus. We have to be the salt.
I let Coy helped me make breakfast. We made eggs and avocado toast. Then dad got back from his workout and he brought me a smoothie. We said grace and had breakfast as a family together. Even opened up our Bibles for a little Bible study. Then I put Ka down for a nap and went help daddy outside to build some stuff. And right before I found them outside in his truck. He's literally obsessed with that truck. Coy absolutely loves being outside. We want our girl to grow up country and as old school as possible. So we let her play outside all day.
While she was out there, I decided to start taking all of our Christmas stuff down. It was the perfect time for a good reset and refresh. My husband had never opened his stocking, so I stacked all of his stuff on his nightstand. We just weren't worried about each other for Christmas or gifts. We can't keep secrets so we both know what we got each other. He got me some carowway pots and this new Amazon Echo. So, I couldn't wait to set it up. And then we finally surprised with her golf ball. It was too big to take with us for Christmas, but now she's finally got it and she absolutely loved it, y'all. The smile on her face was everything. And even Ka got on there trying to ride with me.
Then we were ready to start our New Year's Eve night. So, we loaded up the girls to go to the grocery store and they fell asleep. So, I stayed in the car while dad went shopping. He's going to cook and we're going to have the best evening ever. Starting the year off so bland grateful.
