Week 10, waiver wire pickups. We have a ton of teams on bye this week, including a bunch of fantasy relevant receivers for the Bengals, for the Cowboys, and for the Chiefs. So, today I'm going to break down my top 10 waiver adds at running back and wide receiver. I'm going to go through streaming quarterbacks, streaming tight ends, dropable players, kickers, defensive pickups. Let's not waste any time. Let's get right into it.
Double check to make sure that these guys who are rostered in over 50% of Sleeper leagues are not available in your league because they would be top pickups if they are. Josh DS. Uh, four straight top 36 scoring weeks for the Indianapolis Colts. Seven targets in three of his last four games. Definitely a guy that needs to be rostered if he's available in your league.
Troy Franklin of the Denver Broncos, 10, eight, and nine targets in his last three games. He's actually out-targeted Cland Sutton in all three of them. And of course, knowing uh his connection with Bo Nix going back to college, definitely a guy that you could throw out there this week in a much easier matchup than the Houston Texans that they had last week.
And Tez Johnson, don't forget about him. He is coming off of his bye, so maybe dropped by a lot of people. Season high 96% of the routes and a 26% target share before the bye. High-scoring game environments versus New England and versus Buffalo the next two games. I'll actually be at that Buffalo game. And we still don't have any word on Chris Godwin's health, whether he'll be back or not. Jaylen McMillan not expected to be back. And of course, Mike Evans out for extended period of time. So, make sure if TZ Johnson is available, you pick him up because a lot of people probably going to be in need of flex options and waiver wide receivers this week.
Let's get it kicked off with my top 10 ascending order. So, this is how I would set my waiver claim if I was looking for a wide receiver or running back. And then I'll get through the tight ends and quarterbacks a little later.
Parker Washington rostered right now in 27% of leagues. He is my number one pickup for the week. Looking at his usage the last two games, we see before the bye, 89% of the routes and a 23% target share. If you guys remember before the bye, Brian Thomas Jr. was kind of banged up in that game. He got banged up again this week with an ankle injury. Still dealing with that shoulder thing. And then of course, Travis Hunter was placed on IR with a knee injury, opening up that slot receiver role for Parker Washington, who in this game in week nine, 90% of the routes, 28% target share, 17 fantasy points. In my opinion, he is the premier pickup because he has a probably four-week window at the very lowest where Travis Hunter is out that he can be a usable flex option for you. Him and Trevor Lawrence seem to have a good connection over the next four games before week 13 when Travis Hunter is first eligible to come back. The Jaguars play the Texans and Chargers, which are difficult matchups, but they are weaker against slot receivers and Arizona and Tennessee after that, which are a little bit easier of matchups. So, Parker Washington, if you need a bye-week filling and he's available in your league, he is the premier option to go out and pick up and who knows, might be an every-week flex starter going forward.
Number two pickup are both on the Green Bay Packers. Christian Watson and Jaden Reed. Tucker Craft is down for the season with an ACL tear. So, that opens up a lot of targets in this offense. Matthew Golden, another target earner in this offense, suffered a shoulder injury. It sounds like it's mild and he might not miss too much time, if at all, but definitely worth picking up. Christian Watson and soon Jaden Reed assuming they are going to be the next man up. Christian Watson has six for 143 the last two games on almost 24 yards per catch as well. Since returning from his ACL tear last December, his routes are up to 75% last week. Even though he's not earning a ton of targets, just a 12% and 11% target share. He's a big play hunter. This is a great offense. And with Tucker Craft now out, it could open up a lot of targets.
Now, Jaden Reed, in my opinion, is by far the best receiver on this team when healthy. He is eligible to be activated from IR at any time. His injury in week two, the shoulder injury that he suffered against the Commanders, was a 6 to 8 week recovery timeline with surgery. It's now been 7 and a half weeks. It's the same injury really that Mike Evans is dealing with right now, only it's been 7 and a half weeks since he suffered it. The target timeline is mid to late November according to a lot of Packers beat reporters that I read up on with November's game against Philadelphia in week 11 as the game that they kind of have circled for maybe he'll be eligible to return for that game or at the very least his practice window should probably be open. Make sure you stash both of these guys right now. If you are a playoff team, maybe Jaden Reed's the more appealing guy if you need wins ASAP. Maybe Christian Watson the more appealing guy for you there.
Moving in to my number three pickup. Also another wide receiver, Tory Horton of the Seattle Seahawks. Two touchdown performance for him on Sunday Night Football. If you had the onions to throw him out there, congrats to you. If you're looking for a stash that you can play this week versus the Arizona Cardinals, Horton could be your guy. My only caveat here is that his increase in routes came on the heels of Cooper Kupp being ruled out for this game. Now, Cooper Kupp was downgraded to a do not participate on Friday after practicing earlier in the week last week. So again, Tory Horton could be relevant if Cooper Kupp were to be placed on IR or be out for another game, but I would be curious to see what Tory Horton's usage looks like when Cooper Kupp is out there. Because if Cooper Kupp is active for week 10's game, I would have a hard time throwing Tory Horton into my lineup knowing that before the bye, he dropped two goose eggs in a row with 66 and 53% of the routes. Now again, post-bye rookie bum. He's a young player, has performed when he's been on the field. He's definitely benefiting this offense more than Cooper Kupp has has benefited this offense. But again, keep in mind that Tory Horton's usage and routes could go down if Cooper Kupp is expected to play in week 10.
Number four pickup for me. Again, another wide receiver, Alec Pierce. The Colts are a great offense. Pierce would probably be higher on this list, but the Falcons are a tough matchup this week. They're top 10 versus fantasy wide receivers. And the Colts also go on bye in week 11. So, if you pick up Alec Pierce and spend some FAAB on him, you only get him for one week and then you have to bench him. If you need a one-week fill-in, I do think he's a good pickup for Rasheed Rice managers, Xavier Worthy managers, CD Lamb, George Pickens managers, and Jamar Chase T. Higgins managers. So, if you just need him for the one game, I do think Alec Pierce is one of the better flex starters widely available. Top 15 and top 22 scoring wide receiver two of the last three games. He's been getting the targets. He creates big plays.
And moving in to some of the running back pickups, I got three in a row here that I think are decent options. My number five pickup is Tank Bigsby. Of course, Saquon Barkley did suffer a groin injury pre-bye, which can be finicky. It's an injury that can be re-aggravated, especially when you're 28 years old with thousands of career touches under your belt. They did just have a bye, however, so he got a chance to rest. Tank Bigsby before the bye against the New York Giants had nine carries for over a 100 yards. So when Saquon Barkley was out of the game, they pulled him out of the game late so as to not re-aggravate that injury. Tank Bigsby was the guy that you wanted to have and of course we know in his days in Jacksonville, he is a good running back and probably would do a lot in a great offense with a good workload. So Tank Bigsby must be stashed until we see practice reports and other things indicating that Saquon Barkley is healthy. And even if Saquon Barkley plays this week, I would imagine that he could re-aggravate that injury uh given the history of groin injuries and history of lower body injuries that he has. So make sure you're stashing Tank Bigsby at least for the next one to two weeks until we see Saquon Barkley play at a high level.
Number six pickup for me is Dylan Samson of the Cleveland Browns. Very similar to Tank Bigsby. Quinn Seawn Judkins before the bye suffered an AC shoulder sprain which is typically not a very severe injury but as a you know bruiser type of running back it's possible he could re-aggravate that injury. I would expect him to play this week but if he is not going to play this week Samson would assume that handcuff appeal that we saw from him in week number eight when Quinnon Judkins left the game. Dylan Samson played 46% of the snaps, 23% of the carries, 44% of the routes and scored 7.9 fantasy points. And again, back in week one, when Quinnon Judkins was not out there, Samson saw eight targets and had 12 carries and scored as a top nine running back in that game. So again, very similar to Tank Bigsby. Make sure Dylan Samson is stashed until we hear more about Quinchon Judkins's injury.
My number seven pickup is Devin Singletary, who out-snapped and out-carried Tyrone Tracy narrowly in this game. But I do believe the spike in usage that we saw from Devin Singletary will probably go down as an anomaly a month from now. I don't think that this workload is going to be Devin Singletary. So, let your league mates drop some FAAB on Deon Singletary. I'm sure a lot of people will have him ranked higher than number seven. First off, number one, Debo started Tyrone Tracy over Deon Singletary all of last year. So, in my opinion, he is going to lean on Tyrone Tracy going forward. Number two, Tyrone Tracy when Cam Akers left the game a week ago played 64% of the snaps to Devin Singletary 16% just last week when Akers went down. And number three, Tracy's the better running back. So maybe it was a hot hand approach. Uh maybe it will not be a full stranglehold of the workload for Tyrone Tracy if he's not running well and Devin Singletary maybe get some carries here and there, but I do believe that Tyrone Tracy is kind of a buy low right now and probably will be the starter going forward.
Number eight pickup for me is Blake Corum, one of the premier handcuff stashes who's widely available. The workload isn't enough to trust right now, but he has averaged 4.6 yards per carry on the season. and if he's the lead back for Los Angeles at any point, this is a top 10 offense and he would be a top 15 running back in my tier list rankings there. So Blake Corum, assuming Kyren Williams ever went down, would probably be a very good option. So make sure you stash him at the end of your bench if you got an open spot.
Number nine pickup for me is Christian Kirk, a usable bye-week injury fill-in for week 10 slate versus Jacksonville. Number one, it's a revenge game for him. He used to play for the Jaguars and they traded him this offseason. In his first game healthy um in a while he came back and ran 70% of the routes which this week I would expect to jump to like 85% of the routes because he is coming back now removed from that hamstring and lower body stuff he's been dealing with. He did command eight targets last week and he also has posted 22% targets per route run this season despite playing through injury really since the get-go in week one. He was you know out for the first couple weeks with an injury as well. Assuming he's off the injury report in week 10, he is startable in a revenge game against Jacksonville in my opinion. I will say if C.J. Stroud is not in this game, I would be less likely to start him and he is dealing with a concussion right now. So, not a super high priority pickup, but a worthwhile pickup if you guys are desperate at the wide receiver position.
Darius Slayton also a worthwhile pickup if you need one. The Bears are second easiest against fantasy wide receivers of any matchup on the week 10 slate. Slayton posted a season high in routes, plus had a 23% target share since returning from injury.
So, those are the running back and wide receiver pickups. Moving into the tight end position, the best pickup of the week of any position is Cole Kmet. So, he is in the tight end section, but he would be my number one pickup of any position group. Cole Kmet, I believe my exact words two to three weeks ago because I've been talking about Kmet really since the bye-week heavily. If you missed out on Darren Waller, you better stash Kmet before he's next. Well, he's officially next. He's reached that upside that we've kind of wanted to see from him this season as the 10th overall pick in the draft, the first tight end selected off the board. He was an exceptional prospect, best comparable to T.J. Hockenson, Trey McBride, and Dallas Goedert in our prospect model, but he was young. He turned 21 a week and a half before the NFL draft. It took him some time to get to that level that Waller and Tyler Higbee are at because those guys were multi-year starters in college, also a lot older as prospects. K.T. suffered a concussion. About 70% of the players who suffer concussions miss the following game. And Kmet has already taken over that starting job in the last couple of weeks. The routes, the downfield usage, and the targets are all on the rise in three straight games coming out of the bye. 63% of the routes, then 78% of the routes when K.T. was out in week eight, 75% of the routes, even despite K.T. playing about half the game in week number nine, and of course, literally won the game for the Chicago Bears with a walk-off touchdown going up against the uh Bengals last week. And they have the Giants this week. So, this is another easy matchup for Cole Kmet. If you lost Tucker Craft, this is the dude that you drop the majority, if not all of your FAAB on.
And my number two and three pickups at tight ends are more so streamers. if you just need a one-week fill-in for Travis Kelce or Jake Ferguson who are on bye. Theo Johnson, great matchup this week on the other side of that game versus the Chicago Bears. They're a top five matchup for the tight end position. Theo Johnson's role has been consistent. He's run 88% of the routes over the last three games. If you're mainly just hoping for a touchdown on your fill-in, he's a good streamer um for those managers who are looking for a streamer with Kelce, with Ferguson on bye, and with Tucker Craft going down for the season with an injury.
Dalton Schultz, also a good streamer if you need one. The easiest tight end matchup on the slate for Dalton Schultz against Jacksonville. He led the Texans wide receiver and tight end core in PPR fantasy points, including Nico Collins two of the last three games, averaging 12 PPR points per game since week number five, and he's good for a top 12 tight end over the past month. So, Dalton Schultz, if you need a streamer this week, he is definitely a good option.
If you need a streaming quarterback because you have Mahomes or Dak Prescott on bye. J.J. McCarthy versus Baltimore, in my opinion, is the best available guy. Nearly 20 fantasy points in his return. It's the best he's looked all season, even despite not throwing a ton because he didn't drop back more than like 25 times. 25 rushing yards and or a touchdown on the ground in all three of his starts this season. So, in addition to him having Jordan, having Justin Jefferson, and having T.J. Hockenson to throw to, he also does provide a little bit on the ground, and it's a pretty easy matchup against Baltimore. So J.J. McCarthy definitely a worthwhile streamer if you need one.
Sam Darnold, the best available guy, but he is only available in about 38% of leagues right now. Facing the Cardinals at home, he has two touchdowns in five of his last eight games this season. Michael Penix, um a desperation play, I would say. They're in Berlin to play the Colts this week. It's a top six matchup for fantasy quarterbacks. And Michael Penix is coming off of his first three touchdown game of the season. All of them going to Drake London as we saw.
So those are the tight end and quarterback streamers. Defensive streamers if you guys need them. My top five defenses on the week, Denver Broncos versus the Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans versus Jacksonville, Seattle versus Arizona, Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco, Detroit at Washington, Buffalo at Miami, Cleveland at New York, uh Carolina versus New Orleans, New York at Cleveland, and Jacksonville at Houston. Not a great defensive week uh as far as like the streamers, but definitely if you can dig deep and make a good call, you can make up some ground on your league mates.
Top five kickers and top 10 kickers here. Chase McLaughlin versus New England. Cameron Dicker versus Pittsburgh. Michael Badgley versus Atlanta. Chris Boswell at Los Angeles. Jake Bates at Washington. Kaami Fairbairn versus Jacksonville. Eddie Piñeiro versus Los Angeles Rams. Cyrus Santosa versus the Giants. Tyler Bass at Minnesota. And Jason Myers versus Arizona. Those are my top 10 kickers.
As far as guys that you can drop, just in case you guys are wondering if you want to pick up some of these players, who can you drop at running back? Breece Hall, Samaje Perine, Michael Carter, Jalen Blue, Hassan Haskins, Kenny Gainwell, and Justice Hill can all be dropped safely. Wide receivers, D.K. Metcalf, Darnell Mooney, Keon Coleman, Trey Tucker, even Jerry Jeudy, Luke McCaffrey, Kendrick Bourne, Marvin Mims, Cooper Kupp, even and any Steelers wide receiver not named Diontae Johnson, those guys can all be dropped for the names that I talked about today. Tight ends and quarterbacks, Jayden Daniels looks like he's going to be out for significant time. If you really want to wait on his status, you could hold him for another week, but he's probably droppable given the injury he suffered. C.J. Stroud, Aaron Rodgers, Tucker Craft, definitely droppable after the injury he suffered. Evan Engram, and Jonnu Smith. So, those are the droppable players.
Those are my top 10 wide receivers and running backs, quarterbacks, tight ends, defenses, and kickers. If you guys got some value, leave a like down below.
