Narcissistic rage. This is anger times 10, disproportionate to the situation. It arises seemingly out of nowhere, and the victim of this narcissistic rage is left to wonder what in the world just happened. He might say it's just frustration.
There are two types of narcissistic rage. One is the explosive rage. The other one is the passive rage, the cold fury.
What triggers this stuff? There's really no good explanation for it. I mean, there's no good rationale for it, but it occurs in an individual who has a fragile sense of self-esteem, who is emotionally immature, who has very few internal resources.
