In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon him after whom there is no prophet.
It is with pleasure that your brothers at Islamic Jihad Recordings in Riyadh present to you this blessed recitation from the Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers of the year 1422 Hijri, of the Surahs of Juz' 'Amma, along with the supplication for completing the Quran, in the voice of His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mohsen bin Nasser Al-Obaikan.
And now we leave you with the recitation.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Sovereign of the Day of Judgment. It is You we worship, and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who are astray.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
About what are they asking one another? About the great news, about which they are in disagreement. No, they will surely come to know. No, they will surely come to know. Have We not made the earth a bed, and the mountains as stakes? And We created you in pairs. And made your sleep a rest. And made the night a garment. And made the day a livelihood. And built above you seven strong heavens. And made a burning lamp. And sent down from the rain clouds abundant water. To bring forth thereby grain and vegetation. And gardens of tangled growth. Indeed, the Day of Separation is a decreed time. The Day the Horn will be blown, and you will come in multitudes. And the heaven will be opened, and it will become gates. And the mountains will be moved and will become like mirages. Indeed, Hell is an ambush. For the transgressors, a place of return. They will remain therein for ages. They will not taste therein coolness or any drink. Except boiling water and intensely cold fluid. As recompense, an appropriate (punishment). Indeed, they were not expecting an accounting. And they denied Our verses with denial. And everything, We have counted it in a book. So taste (the punishment), and We will not increase you except in torment. So taste, and We will not increase you except in torment. Indeed, for the righteous is attainment. Gardens and vineyards. And maidens of equal age. And a cup (of wine) overflowing. They will not hear therein any idle talk or falsehood. As a reward from your Lord, a sufficient gift. Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Gracious. They will not possess from Him (the ability to) speak. The Day the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows. They will not speak except for one to whom the Most Gracious gives permission, and he will say what is straight. That is the Day of Truth. So whoever wills may take a path to his Lord. Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when man will look at what his hands have put forth, and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish I were dust!"
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By those who extract with violence. And by those who move with gentleness. And by those who swim with a swift stroke. And those who precede (to the task) with a swiftness. And those who arrange (affairs) by command. On the Day the earth will be violently shaken. Followed by the (second) shaking. Hearts, that Day, will be trembling. Their eyes, with humility, will be downcast. They say, "Will we indeed be returned to (our) former state? Even if we should be decayed bones?" They say, "That then would be a losing return." But it will be only one blast. And suddenly they will be on the surface (of the earth). Has there come to you the story of Moses? When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa. Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. And say, "Would you be purified? And I will guide you to your Lord, so you fear Him." And he showed him the greatest sign. But he denied and disobeyed. Then he turned back, striving. And he gathered and called out. And said, "I am your most exalted Lord." So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Hereafter and the first (punishment). Indeed, in that is a lesson for whoever fears. Are you stronger in creation or is the heaven? He constructed it. He raised its ceiling and fashioned it. And He darkened its night and brought out its light. And the earth, after that, He spread it. He brought forth from it its water and its pasture. And the mountains, He set them firmly. As provision for you and for your livestock. And when the overwhelming calamity comes. The Day when man will remember what he strove for. And Hell will be made apparent to whoever sees. Then as for him who transgressed. And preferred the life of this world. Then indeed, Hell will be his refuge. But as for him who feared the standing before his Lord and restrained himself from [evil] inclination. Then indeed, Paradise will be his refuge. They ask you about the Hour: when will be its settling? You are not (there) to mention of it. To your Lord is its finality. You are only a warner of whoever fears it. It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained except for an evening or the morning thereof.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
He frowned and turned away. Because there came to him the blind man. And what will make you know? Perhaps he will purify himself. Or he will be reminded, and the reminder will benefit him. As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient. You give him attention. And it is not upon you [the blame] if he will not purify himself. But as for him who comes to you striving. And he fears. You are heedless of him. No! Indeed, it is a reminder. So whoever wills will remember it. In honored scrolls, raised, purified. By the hands of scribes, noble and righteous. Cursed be man! What makes him disbelieve? From what thing did He create him? From a sperm-drop He created him and determined him. Then He made the way easy for him. Then He caused him to die and put him in the grave. Then, when He wills, He will resurrect him. No! Man has not yet fulfilled what He commanded him. Then let man look at his food. We poured down water in torrents. Then We split the earth in cleavage. And caused to grow therein grain. And olives and reeds. And olive trees and date palms. And shaded gardens. And fruit and herbage. As provision for you and for your livestock. And when the deafening trumpet sounds. The Day when a man will flee from his brother. And his mother and his father. And his companion and his children. For every person, that Day, will be concern that makes him independent. Faces, that Day, will be bright. Laughing, rejoicing. And faces, that Day, will be upon them dust. Darkness will cover them. Those are the disbelievers, the wicked.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
When the sun is covered. And when the stars are dispersed. And when the mountains are moved. And when the pregnant camels are neglected. And when the wild beasts are gathered. And when the seas are set ablaze. And when the souls are paired. And when the female infant buried alive is asked. For what sin she was killed. And when the records are made public. And when the sky is stripped away. And when Hellfire is kindled. And when Paradise is brought near. Each soul will know what it has brought. So I swear by the retreating stars. Those that run their courses and disappear. And by the night as it gathers. And by the dawn as it brightens. Indeed, this is the word of a noble messenger. Possessing strength, with the Owner of the Throne, secure. One who is obeyed, and trustworthy. And your companion is not by [his] [own] madness. And he has certainly seen him in the clear horizon. And he is not a withholder of the unseen. And it is not the word of Satan, the accursed. So where are you going? This is not but a reminder to the worlds. For whoever wills among you to take a straight course. And you do not will except that Allah wills, Lord of the worlds.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
When the sky is split open. And when the stars are dispersed. And when the seas are made to burst forth. And when the graves are overturned. Each soul will know what it has sent forth and kept behind. O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous? Who created you, fashioned you, and proportioned you? Into whatever form He willed He assembled you. No! But you deny the Recompense. And indeed, over you are appointed guardians. Noble and recording. They know whatever you do. Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure. And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. They will enter it on the Day of Recompense. And they will not be absent from it. And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? Again, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? The Day when no soul will have anything (to help) another, and the command, that Day, will be Allah's.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Woe to the defrauders. Those who, when they take a measure from people, take it fully. But when they give a measure or weigh it out to them, they inflict loss. Do those not think that they will be resurrected? For a tremendous Day. The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds. No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in Sijjin. And what can make you know what is Sijjin? It is [a] written record. Woe on that Day to the deniers. Who deny the Day of Recompense. And none deny it except every transgressor and sinner. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." No! Rather, the stain of what they used to earn has covered their hearts. No! Indeed, they will be kept from (seeing) their Lord on that Day. Then indeed, they will enter Hellfire. Then it will be said, "This is that which you used to deny." No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyyin. And what can make you know what is 'Illiyyin? It is [a] written record. Witnessed by those brought near (to Allah). Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure. On adorned couches, they will look. You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. They will be given to drink from a pure, sealed wine. Its seal is musk. And in that let the competitors compete. And its mixture is from Tasnim. A spring from which those brought near drink. Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. And when they passed by them, they would wink. And when they returned to their people, they would return laughing. And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are [truly] astray." But they were not sent as guardians over them. So today, those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers. On adorned couches, they will look. Have the disbelievers been rewarded for what they used to do?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
When the sky has cracked open. And has listened to its Lord, and it was (right) to do so. And when the earth has spread out. And has cast out its contents and become empty. And has listened to its Lord, and it was (right) to do so. O mankind, indeed you are striving toward your Lord with [much] striving, and you will meet Him. Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand. He will be judged with an easy account. And will return to his family in joy. But as for he who is given his record behind his back. He will cry [for] destruction. And enter a blazing fire. Indeed, he was among his people joyful. Indeed, he thought he would never return. Yes, indeed. His Lord was ever seeing of him. So I swear by the twilight. And by the night and what it encloses. And by the moon when it becomes full. You will surely ascend through stages. Then what is wrong with them that they do not believe? And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not prostrate. Rather, those who disbelieve are in denial. And Allah is most knowing of what they conceal within themselves. So give them tidings of a painful punishment. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward without end.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the constellations in the heaven and the promised Day. And by the witness and that which is witnessed. Destroyed were the companions of the trench. Fire, [containing] fuel. When they sat beside it. And they were witnesses to what they did to the believers. And they resented them not except that they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy. Who has dominion over the heavens and the earth. And Allah is, over all things, a Witness. Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of burning. Indeed, those who believed and did righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. Indeed, the seizure of your Lord is severe. Indeed, it is He who originates and returns. And He is the Forgiving, the Loving. Owner of the Throne, the Majestic. He does whatever He intends. Has there come to you the story of the soldiers? Of Pharaoh and Thamud? But those who disbelieve are in denial. And Allah encompasses them from behind. But it is a glorious Quran. [Preserved] on a guarded tablet.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the sky and the night-comer. And what can make you know what the night-comer is? The piercing star. There is no soul but that over it is a guardian. So let man observe from what he was created. He was created from a fluid, ejected. Emerging from between the loins and the ribs. Indeed, He is Able to return him. On the Day when secrets will be tested. Then man will have no strength and no helper. By the sky and the returning rain. And the earth which splits open. Indeed, this is a decisive word. And it is not amusement. Indeed, they are planning a plot. And I am planning a plan. So give respite to the disbelievers; leave them for a while.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High. Who created and proportioned. And Who destined and guided. And Who brings forth the pasture. And makes it dark, debris. We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget. Except what Allah wills. Indeed, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. And We will make easy for you [the way of] ease. So remind, if the reminder benefits. He will be reminded whoever fears. But the wretched one will avoid it. He who will [enter] the great Fire. Then he will not die therein or live. He has succeeded who purifies himself. And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. But you prefer the worldly life. While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. Indeed, this is in the former scriptures. The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Has there come to you the story of the overwhelming [event]? Faces, that Day, will be [full of] humility. Laboring, [as they] toil. They will enter a blazing Fire. They will be given to drink from a boiling spring. They will have no food except from thorny shrubs. Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. Faces, that Day, will be content. With their striving pleased. In an elevated Garden. They will hear therein no vain talk. Within it is a flowing spring. Within it are raised couches. And placed cups. And lined cushions. And spread carpets. Do they not consider the camel how it was created? And the heaven how it was raised? And the mountains how they were erected? And the earth how it was spread? So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. You are not over them a manager. Except for those who turn away and disbelieve. Then Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. Indeed, to Us is their return. Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the dawn. And [by] the ten nights. And [by] the even and the odd. And by the night when it passes. Is there not in that an oath for [one of] reason? Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad? With the people of Iram, who were [of] lofty pillars? The likes of which have never been created in the land. And Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? And Pharaoh, the one of stakes? Those who transgressed [all] bounds in the lands. And increased therein corruption. So your Lord poured upon them a punishment of affliction. Indeed, your Lord is ever watchful. As for man, when his Lord tries him and honors him and gives him ease, he says, "My Lord has honored me." But as for when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." No! But you do not honor the orphan. And you do not encourage one another on the food of the needy. And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] greedily. And you love wealth with immense love. No! When the earth is pounded into powder. And your Lord comes and the angels, rank upon rank. And Hell is brought near that Day. That Day, man will remember, and what will the remembrance be? He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent forth for my life." So on that Day, no one will punish as His punishment is punished. And no one will bind as His binding is bound. O soul at peace. Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]. Enter among My [righteous] servants. And enter My Paradise.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I swear by this city. And you are free, [O Muhammad], in this city. And [by] the parent and what He begot. We have certainly created man in [an] [effort]. Does he think that nothing will ever overcome him? He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance." Does he think that no one has seen him? Have We not made for him two eyes? And a tongue and two lips? And We guided him to the two ways [of good and evil]? But he has not broken through the difficult pass. And what can make you know the difficult pass? It is the freeing of a slave. Or feeding on a day of severe hunger. An orphan of near relation. Or a needy person lying in the dust. Then he became of those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to mercy. Those are the companions of the right. But those who disbelieved in Our verses, they are the companions of the left. And upon them is an overwhelming Fire.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the sun and its brightness. And by the moon when it follows it. And by the day when it displays it. And by the night when it conceals it. And by the sky and He who constructed it. And by the earth and He who spread it. And by the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its piety. He has succeeded who purifies it. And he has failed who corrupts it. Thamud denied [their] transgressions. When the most wretched of them was sent forth. And the messenger of Allah said, "[Consider] Allah's she-camel and [her] [right to] drink." But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord destroyed them for their sin and made them equal [in destruction]. And He does not fear its consequence.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the night as it enshrouds. And by the day as it appears. And by He who created male and female. Indeed, your efforts are diverse. As for him who gives and fears Allah. And believes in the best [reward]. We will make easy for him the path of ease. But as for him who is greedy and feels himself self-sufficient. And denies the best [reward]. We will make easy for him the path of difficulty. And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? Indeed, upon Us is guidance. And indeed, to Us belong the Hereafter and the first [life]. So I have warned you of a blazing fire. None will enter it except the most wretched. Who denied and turned away. But the righteous one will be kept far from it. He who gives his wealth to purify himself. And not to any one person has he rendered a favor for [its] being repaid. Except seeking the face of his Lord, the Most High. And he is going to be satisfied.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the forenoon [light]. And [by] the night when it settles. Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. Did He not find you orphaned and give [you] shelter? And He found you lost and guided [you]? And He found you needy and made [you] self-sufficient? And as for the orphan, do not oppress. And as for the petitioner, do not repel. But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Have We not expanded for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? And relieved you of your burden. Which weighed down your back? And raised high for you your mention? For indeed, with hardship [is] ease. Indeed, with hardship [is] ease. So when you have finished [your] worship, stand [in worship]. And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the fig and the olive. And Mount Sinai. And this secure city. We have certainly created man in the best of forms. Then We render him the lowest of the low. Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward without end. Then what [still] makes you deny the Recompense after [all this]? Is not Allah the most just of judges?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Read, in the name of your Lord who created. Created man from a clinging substance. Read, and your Lord is the most generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught man that which he knew not. No! Indeed, man transgresses. Because he sees himself self-sufficient. Indeed, to your Lord is the return. Have you seen he who forbids. A servant when he prays? Have you considered if he was on guidance. Or enjoined righteousness? Have you considered if he denied and turned away? Does he not know that Allah sees? No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock. A lying, sinful forelock. Then let him call his associates. We will call the guards of Hell. No! Do not obey him; prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Indeed, We sent it down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace is until the emergence of dawn.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be separated until there came to them clear evidence. A messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures. Within which are correct writings. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after there came to them the clear evidence. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion, upright, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. Indeed, those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. Indeed, those who believed and did righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah pleased with them and they pleased with Him. That is for whoever fears his Lord.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake. And the earth discharges its contents. And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" That Day, it will report its news. Because your Lord has inspired it. That Day, people will depart in separate groups to be shown their deeds. So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it. And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the charging steeds, panting. By the striking sparks. By the raiding at dawn. And stirring up dust thereby. And entering thereby the midst of a host. Indeed, mankind is to his Lord ungrateful. And indeed, he is to that a witness. And indeed, he is fierce in [his] love of wealth. Does he not know, when the contents of the graves are turned out? And the contents of the breasts are made evident? Indeed, their Lord is with them that Day well-informed.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The Striking Calamity. What is the Striking Calamity? And what can make you know the Striking Calamity? It is the Day when people will be like moths dispersed. And the mountains will be like carded wool. Then as for him whose scales are heavy. He will be in a pleasant life. But as for him whose scales are light. His refuge will be [the] abyss. And what can make you know what that is? It is a Fire of [intense] heat.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Competition in [the] [increase] of worldly things distracts you. Until you visit the graves. No! You will surely come to know. Then, no! You will surely come to know. No! If you knew with knowledge of certainty. You will surely see the Hellfire. Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. Then you will surely be asked that Day about the delights.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
By the time. Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. Who collects wealth and counts it. He thinks that his wealth will render him immortal. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. And what can make you know what the Crusher is? It is the fire of Allah, ignited. Which rises over the hearts. Indeed, it will close in upon them. In extended columns.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant? Did He not make their plan go astray? And He sent against them birds in flocks. Striking them with stones of hard clay. And He made them like chewed straw.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
For the accustomedness of the Quraysh. Their accustomedness to winter and summer travel. So let them worship the Lord of this House. Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger. And made them safe, [saving them] from fear.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense? For that is the one who drives away the orphan. And does not encourage on the feeding of the needy. So woe to those who pray. Those who are heedless of their prayer. Those who are [false] in showing [their deeds]. And withhold [simple] assistance.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Indeed, We have granted you the most abundant [good]. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off [from posterity].
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say, "O disbelievers. I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. To you is your religion, and to me is my religion."
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
When the victory of Allah and the conquest have come. And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah [in] multitudes. Then exalt [O Muhammad] [Allah] with praise of your Lord and seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He was ever Accepting of repentance.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. His wealth will not avail him or what he gained. He will [enter] a flaming Fire. And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. Around her neck is a rope of palm fiber.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient Master, whom all creatures need. He did not beget and was not begotten. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn. From the evil of what He created. And from the evil of darkness when it settles. And from the evil of the blowers in knots. And from the evil of the envier when he envies."
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. The King of mankind. The God of mankind. From the evil of the whispering deceiver. Who whispers in the breasts of mankind. From among the jinn and mankind."
Praise be to Allah, the Unique in Majesty with the perfection of beauty, in reverence and magnification. The One who uniquely disposes of circumstances in detail and in summary, in decree and management. The Exalted in His greatness and glory, Who sent down the Criterion to His servant, that he may be a warner to the worlds. Praise be to Allah, the Acceptor of repentance, the Forgiver. He whose greatness the necks have submitted to, and whose might the difficult matters have humbled themselves to, and whose power the hard and solid things have been humbled to. Lord of lords and cause of causes, and Sender of the Book, and Creator of His creation from dust. Forgiver of sins and Acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, Possessor of [all] might. There is no god but He; upon Him we depend, and to Him is our return. O Allah, to You is praise as is befitting the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your dominion. And to You is gratitude as is befitting the abundance of Your grace and the magnitude of Your benevolence. And to You is good praise as is befitting the greatness of Your mercy and the vastness of Your forgiveness. O Allah, to You is praise, and to You is gratitude, and to You is good praise, like what we say and better than what we say, O Best of creators and Most just of judges and Swiftest of accountants and Most merciful of the merciful and Master of the righteous and Guardian of the returning and Guide of the bewildered and lost. O You in whose hand are the forelocks of the worlds. O You who does not let the reward of the doers of good be lost, nor the hope of the workers be disappointed, nor the plot of the traitors be benefited, nor the obedience of the disobedient be useful, nor the disobedience of the sinners harm Him. O You who is transcendent beyond likeness and equal, and exalted beyond helper and minister, and sanctified beyond assistant and advisor. O You who overlooks slips, O You who overlooks slips and forgives errors and Splits the earth and the heavens. O You who is near to whoever calls upon You, O You who is forbearing towards whoever disobeys You, O You who is rich from whoever forgets You, O You who does not honor whoever opposes Him, nor humiliate whoever allies with Him, nor lose whoever follows Him, nor lead astray whoever He guides, nor make thirsty whoever He makes happy and well, nor give to whoever He withholds, nor withhold from whoever He gives. O You who answers the distressed when he calls upon Him. O You who does not decree and avert except that He averts the evil of what He has decreed. O Allah, send blessings and peace and bestow barakah upon Your servant and Messenger Muhammad, and upon his pure and good family. And be pleased, O Allah, with his four rightly guided successors, and with us, along with them, by Your forgiveness and generosity, O Most Generous of the generous. O Allah, we ask You on this blessed night, we ask You in this supplication for ourselves, and for our parents, and for our families, and for those who have a right upon us, and for our loved ones, and for those who loved us for Your sake and whom we loved for Your sake, and for those who asked us. O Allah, benefit us and elevate us by the Great Quran, whose status You have raised and whose recitation You have clarified, and You said, O Most Mighty of speakers, "Glorified be He. Then when We recite it, follow the recitation." Then upon Us is its explanation. O Allah, we are Your servants, sons of Your servants, sons of Your female slaves. Our forelocks are in Your hand; Your command is effective over us; Your judgment is just concerning us. We ask You, O Allah, by every name that You have named Yourself, or sent down in Your Book, or taught to any of Your creation, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Great Quran the spring of our hearts and the light of our chests and the remover of our sorrows and the ذهاب of our worries and our griefs, and our guide and our proof to You and to Your Gardens, the Gardens of Bliss. O Allah, grant honor to Islam and the Muslims, and humiliate the disbelievers and the infidels. Amen. And protect Your religion which You have chosen for us from the plots of the plotters, and strengthen its structure upon the ruins of the deniers, and extend its authority over all the worlds, and humiliate by it the disbelievers and the atheists, and dispel by it the darkness of ignorance and the falsehoods of the ignorant. O Allah, make us among those who preserved the sanctity of the Quran when they memorized it, and magnified its status when they heard it, and contemplated its manners when they attended it, and adhered to its rulings when they departed from it, and intended by its recitation to draw near to You, so let them attain it. O Allah, make the Great Quran the light for our hearts, Amen. And for our chests, a cleansing, Amen. And for our souls, a cure, Amen. And for our sins, a purifier, and from the Fire, a liberator. O Allah, awaken us to make up for the remaining years, and grant us success in gathering good and increasing it, and make us among those whose fasting You have accepted and whose obedience You have made happy, so they prepared for what is ahead, and You have forgiven their errors and honored them by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful. Our God, we have attended the completion of Your Book, and we have humbled our mounts at Your door, so do not drive us away from Your presence, do not drive us away from Your presence, do not drive us away from Your presence. For if You drive us away, there is no might or power for us except with You. We have no Lord other than You to call upon. We have no Lord other than You to call upon. We have no master other than You to hope in. Our God, whom do we seek? Whom do we seek? Whom do we seek? And You are the Lord worshipped. And to whom do we turn? And You are the Owner of generosity and bounty. O You upon whom the reliant rely, and to whom the fearful flee, and by Your grace and Your beautiful rewards and Your beautiful rewards, the hopeful cling. And by Your abundant giving and Your great bounty, hands are extended and the supplicants ask. We ask You to make the best of our lives our last, and the best of our deeds our conclusions, and the best of our ends the Day we meet You. And make the graves after leaving this world the best of our dwelling places. And widen within them the narrowness of our graves. And have mercy on us at the stand of presentation before You, and stabilize our feet at the bridge of Hell. O Allah, Remover of worry, Dispeller of distress, Answerer of the supplication of the distressed, Most Gracious in this world and the Hereafter, and Most Merciful to them. You are the Most Gracious, so bestow a mercy that makes us independent of the mercy of anyone other than You. Your light is complete, so praise be to You. Your forbearance is great, so You have forgiven, so praise be to You. And You have extended Your hand, so You have given, so praise be to You. Your countenance is the most noble of countenances, and Your favor is the best favor, and Your giving is the most beneficial of gifts. You are obeyed, so You are thanked, and You are commanded, so You forgive. You answer the distressed, and You remove harm, and You heal the sick, and You save from distress. No one's plight is like Your plight, and no one can count Your blessings. O Allah, guide us from You, and bestow upon us from Your grace, and shower us with Your blessings, and send down to us Your barakah. O Allah, forgive all the deceased Muslims who testified to Your oneness and to Your Prophet's message and died upon that. O Allah, forgive them, and have mercy on them, and grant them well-being, and pardon them, and honor their reception, and widen their entrance, and wash them with water and snow and hail, and purify them from sins and errors as a white garment is purified from dirt, and reward them with good for good, and with bad deeds, forgiveness and pardon. O Allah, make them in the depths of the graves, content, and at the stand of witnesses, secure, and by the satisfaction of Your pleasure, hopeful. O Allah, lead them to a home better than their homes, and to a family better than their families, and grant them well-being. O Allah, by Your light we are guided, and by Your grace we are made independent, and by Your blessing we have become morning and evening. These are our sins before You; we seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance. O Allah, to You is praise like what we say and better than what we say. O Allah, to You are our prayers, and our sacrifices, and our life, and our death, and to You is our return, and to You, our Lord, is our inheritance. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and the whispering of the chest, and the severity of the matter. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the evil that the wind brings. O Allah, You hear our speech, and You see our place, and You know our secret and our public. Nothing of our affair is hidden from You. We are the wretched, the poor, the seeking help, the seeking refuge, the fearful, the apprehensive, the confessing, the acknowledging of our sins. We ask You the request of the needy, and we implore You the imploring of the sinful and the wrongdoer, and we call upon You the call of the fearful, the blind, whose neck has submitted to You, and whose eyes have overflowed for You, and whose body has humbled itself, and whose nose has been rubbed in the dust. O Allah, do not make us miserable by our supplication, O our Lord, and be kind and merciful to us, O Best of those asked and Best of those given. O Allah, open for us sustenance from You, that no one may have a favor over us in it, nor a consequence for us in the Hereafter. Our Lord, help us and do not help against us, and grant us victory and do not grant victory against us, and plot for us and do not plot against us, and guide us and make guidance easy for us, and grant us victory over whoever oppresses us. Our Lord, make us grateful to You, remembering You, fearing You, obeying You, submitting to You, turning to You. Our Lord, accept our repentance, and answer our supplication, and answer our call, and stabilize our argument. O Allah, guide our hearts and remove the malice from our chests. O Allah, O Strong, O Mighty, O Capable, we ask You to grant success to our leaders in removing evils and suppressing the people of evil, deviation, and misguidance. O Allah, guide them and grant them success to act according to Your Book and the Sunnah of Your Prophet, and to establish the truth and abolish falsehood and support the oppressed. O Allah, grant them righteous advisors who will guide them to good and help them with it, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, guide the leaders of all Muslims to that, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, deal with the enemies of the creed and religion, the Jews, the Crusaders, the secularists, and those who follow them. O Allah, defeat them, for they cannot frustrate You. O Allah, sow discord among them, and scatter their hearts, and make their plotting their destruction, and bring upon them the turn of evil, and send down upon them Your punishment which is not averted from the criminal people. O Allah, afflict them with Your wrath, and remove Your well-being from them, and tear them to pieces. O Allah, whoever intends evil for us and for the Muslims, then make him suffer it himself, and make his plotting his destruction. Indeed, You are capable of all things. O Allah, have mercy on the weak Muslims everywhere on earth. O Allah, we seek Your forgiveness, for You are Ever-Forgiving. And send down upon us rain from the sky in abundance. O Allah, You are Allah; there is no god but You. You are the Rich, and we are the poor. Send down upon us rain and do not make us among the despairing. O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep us alive as long as You know life is better for us, and cause us to die if You know death is better for us. And we ask You for Your fear in private and in public, and for the word of truth in anger and in contentment, and we ask You for moderation in poverty and in wealth, and we ask You for a bliss that does not end, and for the coolness of the eye that does not cease, and we ask You for contentment after destiny, and we ask You for the coolness of life after death, and for the pleasure of looking at Your countenance, and for the longing to meet You, without hardship that harms or trial that misleads. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guided and guiding. Our God, our God, our God, our Master, our refuge. Is there in existence a Lord other than You to be called upon? Or is there in the assembly a god other than You to be hoped in? Or is there a judge other than You to whom a complaint is raised? Or is there a judge other than You to whom a complaint is raised? We raise to You, O our Lord, the complaint. We complain to You, O our God, we complain to You of our weakness. We complain to You of our sins. Our Lord, have mercy on us and grant us victory over whoever is our enemy, and make our actions against whoever has wronged us. To whom do we turn for refuge when You are the Generous, the Provider? Or with whom do we seek victory when You are the Master, the Helper? Or whom do we seek help from? Or whom do we seek help from? Or whom do we seek help from? And the hearts are in Your hand. Who forgives our sins when You are the Most Merciful, the Forgiver? O You who knows the secrets and is aware of the hidden intentions. O You who is the First and the Last, the Apparent and the Hidden, and He is Knowledgeable of all things. O Allah, make us among those whom You called and You answered, who sought You and benefited, and implored You and You had mercy on them, and implored You and You had mercy on them, and sought Your help and You aided them, and asked You and You gave them, and depended on You and You sufficed them. And sought guidance from You and You guided them, and sought refuge in You and You protected them, and sought closeness to You and You accepted them, and to Your abode, the abode of peace, You led them. O Allah, let the month of Ramadan return to us for successive years, and grant us guidance in the abode of annihilation, and raise our ranks in the high Paradise. O Allah, if it was in Your prior knowledge that You would gather us in a similar occasion, then bless us in it, and if You decreed the cutting short of our lives, and what prevents us from it, then be the best successor to those who remain, and bestow Your mercy upon those who have passed. O Allah, we ask You by Your Most Beautiful Names and Your Highest Attributes, O One, O Unique, O Solitary, O Self-Sufficient Master, O You who did not beget and were not begotten, and to whom there is no equivalent. That You purify our hearts from hypocrisy, and our deeds from showing off, and our tongues from lying, and our eyes from treachery. For indeed, You know the treachery of the eyes and what the breasts conceal. O Allah, we seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, and a heart that does not humble itself, and an eye that does not shed tears, and a soul that is not satisfied, and a supplication that is not answered. O Allah, You are more deserving of being worshipped, and more deserving of being remembered, and more compassionate than You are, and more generous than being asked, and more abundant than giving. You are the King, there is no partner for You. You are the Unique, there is no equal for You. Everything is perishing except Your countenance. You are obeyed only by Your permission, and You are disobeyed only by Your knowledge. You are the nearest watcher and the nearest witness. You have seized the forelocks and recorded the traces and abrogated the times. Souls are presented to You, and the secret is public with You. What is lawful is what You have made lawful, and what is unlawful is what You have made unlawful. The creation is Your creation, and the servants are Your servants. There is no god but You. O Allah, to You is praise as is befitting the majesty of Your countenance and the greatness of Your dominion. O Allah, to You is gratitude as is befitting the abundance of Your grace and Your forgiveness. O Allah, to You is good praise as is befitting the greatness of Your mercy and the vastness of Your forgiveness. You are our refuge when means are exhausted. You are our refuge when means are exhausted and our refuge when hope is cut off. So we do not turn in our important matters except to You, and we do not rely in all our affairs except on You. How forbearing You are towards whoever disobeys You, and how near You are to whoever calls upon You, and how compassionate You are towards whoever asks You. Who asked You and You deprived him, or fled to You and You drove him away, or sought refuge in You and You abandoned him? O You who becomes angry with whoever does not ask Him. O Allah, do not make us miserable by our supplication, nor deprived, and do not make us despair of Your mercy. O Owner of Majesty and Generosity. O Allah, we have completed the month of our fasting with shortcomings on our part, and we have fulfilled little of Your right in it. And we have come to Your door as supplicants and to Your grace as seekers, so do not turn us away disappointed, for we are the poor to You, the captives in Your hands. Do not turn us away disappointed. Our God, to You we have turned, and to Your grace we have presented ourselves, and to Your door we have knocked, and from Your bounty we have asked, so accept our humility and have mercy on our submission, and mend our hearts, and conceal our faults, and delight our eyes with the sight of You in Paradise, and do not turn Your noble countenance away from us. O Allah, reform the youth of the Muslims and the women of the Muslims. O Allah, keep them away from indecencies and sins. O Allah, do not place anyone between us and You in our sustenance except You. There is no god but Allah, the number of those who walked upon the earth and moved. And praise be to Allah, in whose hand are the keys to relief. O our relief when the means are cut off, and O our hope, O our relief when the doors are closed, and O our hope when the means are cut off and the separation between us and our families and companions. O Allah, You are indeed forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive us. O Allah, enrich us with Your lawful provision, and make us independent of Your disobedience, and by Your grace, independent of anyone other than You. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad whenever the righteous remember him. And send blessings upon Muhammad as long as night and day differ. Send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the Emigrants and the Helpers. O Allah, accept our fasting and our prayers, and make us among those freed from the Fire. Our Lord, do not make us disappointed, nor losers. Our Lord, make us among the successful with Your pleasure and Your Paradise, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, You said, and Your word is the truth: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." And we have called upon You as You commanded us, so respond to us as You promised us. Respond to us as You promised us. Respond to us as You promised us. O Allah, grant victory to the Mujahideen in Your cause to raise Your word and honor Your religion. O Allah, strengthen their might and guide their arrows and their opinions. O Allah, unite their word upon the truth, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, Your victory which You promised to Your believing servants. Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of might, from what they describe. And peace be upon the messengers. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and all his companions.

And you will surely find them the most eager of people for life, and [eager] among those who associate others with Allah. One of them wishes that he could be granted a life of a thousand years, but it would not remove him from the punishment [that awaits him]. And Allah is Seeing of what they do. Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [because] he brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."
