Around the Cosmic Campfire by Tony Wright
Chapter 22: The Ignition
It started out being a fairly typical day, but the older I get, the more I realize that what is typical for me is not the norm for most people around me—not even close. I was in Brentwood, in my massage therapy clinic, and my dear elder client, B, came in for her weekly bodywork session. B, a licensed clinical social worker and Reiki practitioner, was just moving into retirement in her 70s, but in good physical and mental health. She benefited monthly from her time of relaxation with me. We were sweet buddies and were in sync with each other at every meeting.
On this particular day, Bee had come and gone, and I was changing out the massage table linens for Donna, who is no doubt en route to her appointment with me the coming hour. Several minutes went by when I saw Bee walking back into the clinic. I wondered if she had forgotten something, but she looked stressed. She told me her car wouldn't start and was perplexed. I volunteered to walk out with her to see if I could help her, at which time Donna came on through the scene out in the parking lot and volunteered also. We three walked to the maroon Hyundai, and Donna said she knew about cars and got in the driver's seat to try to start the car. Bee got in the passenger seat, and I got in the back seat.
What happened then was interesting, as my antenna started going up about the car, yet I sat quietly in the backseat as Donna spent the next 10 minutes trying again and again to get the car to start. There was nothing; there was no cranking over at all, and it was completely dead—just silent. She turned the key again for many minutes, and that was after B had tried it herself for some time. They both got the car manual out of the glove compartment and found the number for towing assistance and called the dealership as well. The car was not very old and also didn't need a battery. The longer they tried to start the car, the more anxious Bee got about it, and so she called the towing service and seemed very grateful she wasn't going through this challenge alone. I believe it had been a very long time since she had experienced any car trouble in her world. As an elder, this kind of thing made me very shaky as I sat quietly in the back seat. I suddenly had this knowing—I was told I could start the car. Oh yes, there was that voice again that comes to me.
When they had given up and Donna was about to go back toward my office, I got out of the backseat. It was sprinkling on us as we sat in the quiet parking lot outside of my brick office building. The trees were starting to drip just a bit on me as I got out of the back seat and into the driver's seat. A drop of rain ran down my nose. I was thinking, "What the heck am I doing? Let me try now." Okay, I spoke very quietly. I felt very quiet. They had no real comment except "Why?" as I assumed they both were wondering what I thought I was going to do about this problem. Again, I sat quietly for a second. I knew I wasn't going to try; I was going to do it—sort of a Yoda thing. I would be Skywalker and lift the ship out of the swamp. Why not? We couldn't do anything. Donna was waiting outside of the car, watching and wondering what I could do to help. She gave me the key.
Then I heard the message that floated into my head without sound from the supernatural God and that place that speaks to me nearly every day. The head voice said, "The key needs to go in a certain way." Really? I was thinking, "Like, he can only go in one way." I thought Donna took it out and put it back in for about a half an hour, and so had B. I heard then, "No. When you put the key in, barely turn it to the right, only a slight turn, very slowly, then pause in the middle of the turn before continuing the turn." Really? I thought that sounded very unusual. Well, of course, that was what I was thinking—the whole transaction was unusual. So I did as I was instructed to do, and the car instantly came to life on the first turn. They both looked at me and blinked like I was from another planet. Then they became excited. They thought I had the Midas touch, but no, I just listened to my ethereal mechanics who took control of our vehicle difficulties. I just listened, and it was done. I had to really listen closely in this one to know just where the tiny pause was in the ignition. It was quite magical and fun.
We called and canceled the towing company, and Bee was able to get on her way to the car dealership for a closer look. I walked back in with Donna to her massage session, but she looked at me a little bit differently, I swear it. She does not understand what I had just done. I had to tell her it was not me; it was something else. I had just turned my personal radio dial to just the right station—that is the cosmic, or we could say God, station around me that speaks to me much of the time. I just had to turn to the station for instruction, and there they were. We can all do this. We can all solicit, hire help, and it will be there instantly.
I sometimes laugh about this little incident; it's just one of so many I've had in my life, and it certainly makes life entertaining for me. These anomalies happen almost daily now. I always listen and trust, and I admit I have astonishing fun with the information that wafts through on a regular basis. I am here to let others know we can all do it. We can all tune our personal dials to the higher radio station and experience that never-ending and magical synchronicity coming through to us that helps all things work beautifully. There is nothing special about me. We are all electrical beings who can plug into the divine information, so I say to you, plug in—just plug in—and enjoy.
