When winter arrives, some bugs head indoors to survive. Check out a few of these common overwintering pests.
One, Asian lady beetles. Though these bugs look like friendly ladybugs, they're actually a pest. They gather on the side of homes before slipping inside. They're often found near fields, gardens, and wooded areas.
Two, box elder bugs. These black and red bugs like to spend winter in your house. They typically hide in garages, sheds, and in cracks and crevices. If you live near box elder trees, these pests are more likely to visit.
Three, cluster flies. Cluster flies gather in large groups on the exterior of homes. Inside, they seek dark and protected areas, including attics and wall voids.
Four, stink bugs. Stink bugs are known for the smell they release when they're startled or crushed. These bugs are attracted to light and moisture in your home. They gravitate to attics and wall voids.
