This dog had only 10 seconds left to live. But even then, he refused to close his eyes. He was waiting for someone.
Bailey, the moment he heard that voice, Bailey knew his owner had come back, and he could feel how heartbroken his owner was. But Bailey no longer had the strength to do anything except slowly wag his tail one last time. Then finally, he closed his eyes.
But when he opened them again, he had been reborn as a tiny puppy. He waited for a long time, but his owner never returned. Eventually, a woman picked him up and happily took him home. But her boyfriend hated dogs, so in the end, Bailey was forced to live in the backyard.
Season after season passed. Then one day, the man removed Bailey's collar, put him in a truck, and told the woman he was taking him somewhere nice. But instead, he abandoned him in an empty field. Still, Bailey didn't want to go back there anyway. So, he started surviving like a stray dog.
After wandering for a long time, he reached a wheat field. There he saw other dogs, but every one of them had an owner, and that broke his heart. That's when Bailey decided to find the person who once truly loved him.
After walking for miles, he reached a farm that felt strangely familiar. Then, he saw his old owner's house, like fate had guided him there. Bailey immediately ran toward it, but his owner didn't recognize him. The boy who was once cheerful and full of life had now become a lonely, exhausted man. He thought Bailey was just another stray dog. He gave him food but refused to let him inside because he had promised himself he would never own a dog again. Even so, Bailey stayed outside the door waiting.
Eventually, his owner's heart softened and he finally let Bailey inside. The next day, he gave Bailey a bath and renamed him Buddy. That night, sleeping beside his owner again made Bailey happier than anything, but he could tell his owner still wasn't truly happy. Deep down, he was lonely.
Then, Bailey remembered the girl his owner used to love. Early the next morning, Bailey ran down an old road. There he caught a familiar scent. Bailey couldn't speak, so he simply followed the woman all the way to her house. And finally, she recognized him, too.
The moment Hannah saw her old boyfriend's name on Bailey's collar, her heart started racing. Meanwhile, his owner thought Buddy had only gone for a walk. He had no idea. Buddy was bringing back the person he missed most. The moment he saw Hannah, he instantly recognized her, but he no longer had the courage he once did. Hannah thought nobody was home, but Bailey started barking loudly, scratching at the door because Bailey knew his owner was inside. And finally the door opened.
