If You See These 3 Signs, It’s INSULIN RESISTANCE (Even If You Feel Fine)

You could look totally healthy but still be dying on the inside. Look, I can spot insulin resistance from across the room. And most people walking around today have it but don't know it. You're doing everything right. Eating clean, hitting the gym, following the rules, yet you're still tired, inflamed, and stuck. And the worst part, your doctor says you're fine, but your body is screaming otherwise.

If you ignore these signs I'm about to show you, you are gambling with your future. Pay attention to this entire lesson because I'm going to show you the five silent signals of insulin resistance and exactly how to reverse it before it becomes something worse. I want you to pause this lesson at any point and do an audit on yourself. Check yourself as I go through this because insulin resistance leaves visible fingerprints on the body long before blood work waves any red flags. See, these are hidden hormonal cues your body is screaming at you every single day.

The first sign to pay attention to are dark skin patches or what's called dirty looking folds on your body. Look behind your neck, under your arms, in the groin or certain skin folds on your body. If you see dark velvety looking skin that doesn't wash off, that's called acanthosis nigricans. And this isn't a skin problem. This is a result of chronically elevated levels of insulin stimulating abnormal skin cell growth. And I could spot this in any room. The simple translation, you've had high insulin levels for many years, not weeks, not months. This is one of the strongest visible markers of insulin resistance in humans that I spot.

The second sign are skin tags, especially around the neck, the armpits, and on the chest. Skin tags are not random, and they're not even a skin problem. See, they usually cluster in high friction zones because insulin acts like a growth signal. And when insulin stays elevated, cells grow when they shouldn't. Tissues proliferate and skin tags multiply. A lot of people end up seeing their dermatologist to cut it off. That might look better in the interim, it'll grow back and it doesn't get to the root cause, which is insulin resistance. If you've noticed skin tags appearing over time, that's a metabolic smoke signal. And the amazing thing is once I give you this protocol to reverse insulin resistance, I've seen skin tags fall off in hundreds of my students and those brown patches go away completely as well.

The third sign that I look for in rooms and what you want to look for is a puffy face with water retention and sock lines. Okay. At nighttime, I want you to take a look at your ankles. Do your socks leave deep impressions? Does your face look puffy in the morning? Inflamed or swollen around the eyes? See, high insulin tells the kidneys to retain sodium, which means water retention. So, you look puffy and you feel puffy. This creates inflammation and pressure on the vascular system. This is why insulin resistance quietly raises blood pressure and stresses the heart. There are multiple things that contribute to damage of your blood vessels, which leads to heart disease. The number one contributor is high levels of insulin. It does the biggest damage, especially over time, if you don't correct it.

The fourth sign to pay attention to is stubborn belly fat, even when you're eating clean and exercising. This is the one that most people could relate to. If fat accumulates around the waist in the lower belly in an apple-shaped pattern, this could be visceral fat. And visceral fat is simply insulin-driven fat. This is a dangerous fat that you cannot see really. It's this white inflammatory fat that is suffocating, wrapping around your vital organs, your pancreas, your liver, your kidneys, your heart, and it's applying pressure. So, you could work out daily, track and cut calories, even eat healthy, but if insulin stays high, that fat stays locked in. High levels of insulin literally block fat from being burned and used as energy.

The fifth sign to pay attention to are cold hands and feet, hairless toes, and tingling. Okay, look at your toes right now. Are they colder than the rest of your body? Are your toes losing hair? Do they feel numb and tingly, especially at nighttime? Well, insulin resistance damages small blood vessels first before heart attacks, before strokes. See, the damage shows up in the extremities first.

So, I want you to stop right here and hear this clearly. This is not your fault. You didn't lack willpower. You weren't lazy. You didn't mess up your metabolism. This is what happens when your body sends warning signals. These signals, these symptoms are not the problem. They're the gift. They're your body's check engine light. Thank God your body is communicating with you. No one has taught you how to read them until now. What you've been taught is to mask them up with a medication or a fad diet or maybe an injection like Ompic. That does not get to the cause. Most people are told, "Hey, just eat less, move more, try harder, stop being lazy, have some discipline and willpower." But insulin resistance is not a motivation problem. It's a biological adaptation to many years of metabolic stress. So, your body is simply just trying to protect you.

So, what actually is insulin resistance? Let me simplify this for you. Insulin is your fat storage hormone. It's also known as an energy sensor. What's really fascinating is that you have over 600 hormones inside of your body, but only one hormone signals fat storage, insulin. Insulin is not a bad hormone. There is no such thing as a bad hormone. But when insulin is chronically elevated and called out every few hours, every single day for months and years, that insulin is a bully hormone. Its job is to move glucose into your cells to store energy, to signal abundance, feasting. But here's the problem. When insulin stays high all day long, every day, your cells stop listening and responding to the signals of insulin. Fat stays locked in. Blood sugars continue to rise in the bloodstream. Energy crashes, especially after meals, and inflammation rises. It's like if your cells are wearing noise-canceling headphones. Insulin is screaming, but nobody's listening to it. So, your body produces more insulin, meaning it screams even louder. And that vicious cycle leads to weight gain, brain fog, fatigue, and blood vessel damage.

And you won't always catch this on a fasting glucose. You won't even catch this necessarily on an A1C, which is a 3-month measurement, the average of your blood sugars. See, studies show that it could take 6 to 14 years of having insulin resistance before your blood sugars change at all. That's in some cases over a decade. But your body always shows it with those red flags we outlined today. Look, I had a client. He exercised daily. He ate clean. He even looked fit, but he couldn't really lose the belly fat. He slept poorly. And every afternoon, like clockwork, he had an energy crash. His doctor said, "Your blood sugars look normal, but we look deeper." I encouraged him to get a fasting insulin blood test. And his insulin was sky-high. He was full-blown insulin resistant even though his fasting glucose looked perfect and his A1C was in range. Now, within just 3 weeks of applying what you're about to learn, he lowered insulin. His energy stabilized, his belly started to shrink, his sleep improved, and his brain fog lifted. He didn't eat less, he ate differently.

Here are two simple actions that I gave this client that I'm going to give you today to start fixing insulin resistance right now. Real quick, don't skip this because if you're struggling with your health, this could change everything. If your belly won't budge, if your energy crashes, or if you feel inflamed no matter what you try, this is your reset. I built the 14-day belly fat burning plan to give you a clear step-by-step system that melts fat, boosts energy, and gets your body working for you again. Here's exactly what you get inside the guide. A day-by-day road map, no guesswork. Week one builds your foundation and detoxifies your body. Week two ignites fat burning and lowers inflammation. You also get a nutrition playbook, what to eat, when to eat, and what to stop eating that's keeping you inflamed. You also get a fat burning workouts pack, short, effective sessions you could do at home designed to target stubborn belly fat and keep you moving. In this guide, you also get a habits reset module, sleep hacks, stress killer routines, cravings control, because belly fat isn't just about calories. You also get some bonus tools, tracking sheets, quick reference cheat sheets, and meal prep templates so nothing slows you down. You can click the second link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen and start right now. Oh, and it's not just theory. People are seeing amazing results. John Miller applied this information and he dropped 44.4 lb in just the first 30 days. Gail Pigeon applied this information and she dropped over 120 lbs and she regained her health back. Look, working one-on-one, this system goes for over $100. But right now, you'll get it for just one payment of $17. Since I want you to get started right away, that's less than takeout, and it could change your entire health trajectory. Click the second link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen to get instant access. Don't hope your body changes, make a change. Let's go.

I don't want to overwhelm you with 22 steps. So, here are just two powerful steps. The first one, eat protein and the fat that comes with the protein before carbs. Not instead of, not forever, just first protein and fat first on that plate. When you do this, it slows digestion, which then prevents a high glucose spike from the meal, which then lessens the insulin response. This protects your blood sugar and gets you into a fat burning state much faster. Then if you have carbs, have the carbs after, not alone, but after the protein and fat. So what does this look like on your plate? If you have a mixed meal, meaning of three different macronutrients, protein, carbs, and fat, it would look like, let's say, a piece of steak or a piece of fish or chicken with broccoli, Brussels sprouts, let's say cauliflower, and then let's say rice and beans. In this example, you would consume the protein first, the chicken, the fish, or the steak. Then you will have the non-starchy carbohydrate, the broccoli, the Brussels sprouts, the cauliflower, and then at the end you're going to have the rice or the beans or the carbohydrates like a sweet potato. This single habit can drop that post-meal insulin response from that meal by 20 to 30%. You do this every single day. That adds up and compounds over time. Now all of a sudden, you're not screaming insulin all the time. You're re-sensitizing yourselves to start hearing insulin and you're reversing insulin resistance.

And if you want to add a bonus option to this tip here, go for a 10 to 20 minute walk after that meal or at least after the biggest meal of the day. Stacking protein and fat first before the carbs with a walk after could dramatically reduce that glucose and insulin response from that meal. See, that simple walk acts like insulin to clear the glucose without actually producing insulin. It's pretty cool.

The second powerful tip that I gave my client and that I use and that I give to all my students is this apple cider vinegar. I know it's a trend, a TikTok trend, and a lot of people think apple cider vinegar doesn't work. And they're right because when you do it the wrong way from the wrong source, it doesn't work. Or they take it, but they take it the wrong way. You probably hear people say, "Take apple cider vinegar to heal the metabolism and burn fat." But the science backs that up. Look, apple cider vinegar is not a magic bullet. But there are some real studies on human beings showing meaningful metabolic effects, especially on blood sugar and insulin control with apple cider vinegar done right that is directly tied to insulin resistance. See, apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid. This is what gives vinegar that sour taste. Acetic acid has several effects on the body and a couple of them impact glucose and insulin regulation. So number one, it slows carbohydrate digestion which then blunts the blood sugar spike which blunts the insulin spike. Number two, it enhances glucose uptake into muscle when insulin is present. A meta-analysis in people with type two diabetes, which is the advanced stages of insulin resistance, showed a systematic review of seven controlled trials and found that daily apple cider vinegar consumption lowered fasting blood glucose by 22 milligrams per deciliter per day, and reduced their HbA1c, that 3-month average of their blood sugar. Apple cider vinegar does not replace lifestyle changes and all the other things you're doing with your behaviors here, but it's an adjunct to your lifestyle changes. It's not the treatment or the protocol. It's to assist you in getting results. So anyways, if you choose to go with the apple cider vinegar, get a high-quality apple cider vinegar organic with the mother in a glass bottle and then dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons in about 8 ounces of water and have that 15 minutes before your biggest meal of the day. That's going to be the meal with the carbohydrates. I would recommend you drink it through a straw so it doesn't mess up your teeth. Personally, I do not like the taste of apple cider vinegar. I like to protect my enamel and my teeth. So, I take a high-quality apple cider vinegar capsule from Paleo Valley. I'll take three capsules of their apple cider vinegar complex 15 minutes before my biggest meal of the day. And this is exactly what I tell my students to do. And I reached out to Paleo Valley and they hooked you up with a 15% off coupon code for their product. All you need to do is click the first link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen right now and the coupon code is automatically applied at checkout.

Look, if this video, this lesson has helped you, please share it with somebody you care about because insulin resistance is everywhere and most people have no idea. Hit subscribe if you're watching on YouTube, if you're done with all the noise out there and ready for the truth. You see, I'm on a mission to help 1 billion people reclaim their health naturally. And I fuel that mission with something called vitamin G, which is vitamin gratitude. Gratitude for this incredible life we've been given. I may not know you personally, but I care about you. And if that hits home, you're exactly why I do this.

Now, let me get to the questions you submitted on this topic. My doctor says my blood sugar is normal. So, how could I be insulin resistant? First thing to pay attention to are those five warning signs. If you have any of them, there's a high percentage that you have insulin resistance. As I mentioned earlier in this lesson, your blood sugar could look normal for 6 to 14 years, even your A1C for 6 to 14 years, but you could have full-blown insulin resistance. So, I would tell your doctor, I would request a fasting insulin blood test. And if that fasting insulin blood test is over seven, you have insulin resistance. What's crazy is I've looked at hundreds of lab reports of fasting insulin, glucose, and A1C, and I have seen individuals with a 23 or a 35 or even over 40 of a fasting insulin, which is full-blown insulin resistance, but their glucose and A1C looks perfect because it takes time for that to catch up, 6 to 14 years. But you want to be proactive, not reactive. That's what Einstein said. He said, "Intellectuals solve problems. Geniuses prevent them." So, be a genius. Follow the actions I gave you here today and go get a fasting insulin blood test done ASAP.

I'm not overweight. Can I still have insulin resistance? 100%. These individuals that have insulin resistance but look skinny on the outside, they're called TOFIs. Thin on the outside, fat on the inside. These individuals pack fat around their organs, which you cannot see. I would argue that these individuals are actually at a higher risk of metabolic diseases than those that are visibly overweight.

Before I get to the next question, let me give you another free resource to take what you learned today with those two powerful steps to the next level to reverse insulin resistance. If you've been busting your butt, but you're still not losing fat, your body is not broken. It's your insulin. I created a free 7-day protocol that shows you how to drop up to one pound of fat per day without counting a single calorie, starving yourself, or killing yourself with cardio. You'll learn the exact fasting schedule, food swaps, and fat burning tricks to finally unlock your stored fat naturally. This is the blueprint for metabolic freedom, not another gimmick. Click the third link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen to get it now. Don't wait. Your reset starts right now.

Next question. Why haven't I ever been told this by my doctor? It's not really your doctor's fault. It's the system that the doctor is in. I get asked a lot, why doesn't my doctor order a fasting insulin if this is the case, Ben? Well, here is the scary truth. Why should your doctor order a blood test called a fasting insulin when if you have high levels of insulin, there is not a medication to prescribe for high levels of insulin? So, why would they get that test done? There is a medication to prescribe for high glucose and high A1C. So that's why they run that test. You see how it works is that there is your reference ranges and if something's out of range, there's a code that matches a prescription. Can't do that with fasting insulin. So that's why they don't order it.

If insulin is so bad, why does the body make it? Well, I already said this earlier. Insulin is not bad. There's not a bad hormone. Insulin is for survival. Your body wants to survive. It wants to store fat because we've been designed, we've been hardwired to believe or not believe, but we went through many years of famine. Our ancestors did. So, we are designed to pack on fat as much as possible because there could be days, weeks, and months without food. Well, now the famine never comes. We could click on our phone and have the Uber Eats or Door Dash person knocking on your door in 45 minutes with food. You could walk to your fridge, but the body is still focused or or hardwired for the old school. So, it's not that insulin is bad. It's when insulin is chronically elevated that is the issue.

I hope this is valuable. Please share it with somebody you know. Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. And one of the things I started doing is I've been using a scoop of powder, which is five grams every day. And it's helped with my mood, energy, recovery, fat loss, and you won't believe what happens to your body when you just add this scoop to water or coffee or tea every single day. I just published a video talking about this. Here is a clip from that recent lesson. Then click the video on the screen coming up and I'll see you in that next video. Look, the supplement industry has lied to you. Most powders promising fat burning, inflammation support, or muscle building are either underdosed, contaminated, or straight up fairy dust blends. Your inflammatory markers like CRP, TNF alpha, and I
